I have not signed my fighters, (yet)

I could not afford to get fighters in from anywhere else, and Sydney hardly has new fighters,

so I will simply sign anyone willing to take a fight in Sydney for low bucs.

So far I have only signed 325+ fighters, with the budget I have it's the most likely those fighters will join,

but currently no other Org in Sydney has even a card scheduled.

SFC is going very well after just a few days, the first fights are set and recruiting goes smooth, with the restriction to 322k+ several fighters are signed,

really wanna approach this to max out fighters and giving the Org variety in opponents. If interested feel free to contact for a fighter signing.

Daily Update:

Hi folks,

just a smal update today:

SyFi 2 is now only 2 fights away from being at a full 10, if these 2 fights are not confirmed by tommorow evening, I will reschedule to get to 10.

If you are scheduled on SyFi 1 or 2, please remember, if you are not in Sydney, 48 hours before the card an auto flight will be scheduled, you have to cancel that. No need to fly.....(remeber to login for that)

Please make sure to log in daily at least once(if possible), it makes it much easier for me to get fights quickly confirmed, later on, when renegotiations might take place, this is also important later.(and to assure you cancel auto-flights)

If you want to get involved here, feel free to make suggestions, I found one writer, looking for a substitute one, or perhaps someone doing interviews with fighters, or whatever idea you have, to make this org better.

Fights for Syfi 5 and 6 will be handed out to yet unscheduled fighters likely on Wednesday, I will decide if a third fight card is necessary depending on recruitement.( I want everyone signed a fight on 2nd-4th February, unless you ask for more training), perhaps leaving a couple fights of for 14 day returners, if someone gets a real quick KO or sub and doens't loose energy.

Feel free to contact me, also if you have another 322k+ fighter, that may fit, let me know.

SyFi 1 Set to Debut as Sydney Fights First Ever Card

Sydney Fights is set to open with a bang on Friday January 19th as 3-0 Mcdaniels (#5 P4P) and 1-0 Helenius receive the honor of inaugurating this organization with a fight that will set the tone for what looks to be an electrifying card including a bout between the #1 P4P fighter 3-0 Isbrand Gustav and a promising rookie by the name of Pyotr Petrov who won his first fight in powerful fashion.

The owner of Sydney Fights Boble Lineman had this to say coming into the first ever card of his organization:

"I'm extremely happy, that we can finally start with this Org here in Sydney, recruiting fighters for the last 2 week was stressful, and now we finally have the first fights set up. I'm looking forward to a great fight, and perhaps this first card will already showcase one of our future Champions, which we will start crowning in 6-8 weeks. Watch out for SFC to dominate in the long run, and if you have a 322k+ fighter, get in contact with us, we will find him a fight

Without Further ado Its time to get into the fights.

3-0 Shazaam Mcdaniels vs 1-0 Niko Helenius

These 2 heavyweight fighters look to start this event off with a bang and they won’t disappoint. Both fighters come into this event having never been defeated and fortunately for us we get to see the moment one falls and the other rises. Going into this event I asked the Owner of Sidney Fights why he chose these two to open up his organization. His response was: “Well with most fighters making their debut, the opener shows a 3-0 vs. a 1-0, that should get us off to a nice start, it's important for us, that fans enjoy the card top to bottom, I guess both fighters have the potential to be stars in the long run.

Shazaam is coming in off of an impressive 3 fight win streak having won by knockout or TKO in every one of his fights two of which were within the first 30 seconds and one being in an amazing 5 seconds. You can expect him to throw flurries of punches in an effort overwhelm his opponent with sheer ferocity.

Helenius having only one fight under his belt is hard to read as he won it in a mere 16 seconds. From what little we saw of him he seems to be a disciplined fighter ready to stand toe to toe with anybody who dares to stand against him.

Prediction:

This fight is hard to predict as we have two very impressive stand up fighters going toe to toe. Shazaam is a rough fighter who wins through sheer number of strikes whereas Helenius seems much more disciplined in his approach to the fight. The question is whether Helenius’ more disciplined approach can weather the storm that is Shazaam?

Winner: Niko Helenius

I believe that his more disciplined style gives him the advantage in a fight between these two. However, don’t count Shazaam out as he has the power to overturn expectations.

1-0 Alaric Visigoth vs 0-0 Luke Bentley

For the second fight of our evening we have one fighter making his debut hoping to showcase what he has against the already proven Alaric Visigoth who is nicknamed the Barbarian for good reason.

Alaric Visigoth won his fight using 3 punches showing that his boxing is no joke. He also has a good ground game something he didn’t even need to use against his first opponent.

Bentley comes in looking to prove himself in his debut using his respectable boxing and muay thai. His manager has a host of other fighters and hopefully his advice can lead this fighter into stardom within the light heavyweight class at the Sydney Fights organization.

Prediction:

Visigoth has the clear advantage both standing and on the ground, so Bentley’s only chance of winning this is if he can get him into the clinch.

Winner: Alaric Visigoth

He Showed in his previous fight that his power is no joke and it seems like Bentley will have his hands filled trying to close with him for the clinch and doing so without being knocked out seems daunting for a man making his debut.

0-2 Gary Red vs 2-0 Jack Hughes

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that the records of these 2 fighters tell you what you need to know going into this bout. Red has amazing stand up capabilities and cannot be overlooked.

Red is coming off the back of 2 disappointing losses against good opponents. However, his boxing is of such quality that if the fight remains standing it is hard to see him losing.

Looking at Hughes as a fighter you wouldn’t expect him to be 2-0, but using sheer intelligence he uses his all around fighting style to pull off unexpected wins.

Prediction:

Looking purely at the stats matchup its hard to say Red will lose, but Hughes has already won fights against opponents he shouldn’t have beaten based on numbers.

Winner: Gary Red

Although Hughes has used intelligence to beat better opponents in the past its hard to see him continuing to do so against Red, seeing as he has a 7 years age gap to come up against.

1-1 Igor Krovchensky vs 1-0 Vercingetorix Frenchy

This is another fight where a decision result seems unlikely to happen as it continues the long line of finishers within this cards’ fighters. Krovchensky has the clear goal of going into the clinch and punishing fighters while in the clinch whereas Frenchy is looking to base his strategy on his opponents and attack their weaknesses.

Igor Krovchensky looked impressive in his first victory utilizing the clinch to render his opponent powerless. However, in his second fight his opponent took advantage of the clinch to pull Krovchensky onto the ground where you could see a lack in technique. Krovchensky will be looking to shore up that weakness while still abusing the clinch in this fight.

Vercingetorix Frenchy is the classic example of an all around fighter who doesn’t have any weaknesses or strengths. If he can follow Igor’s previous opponents example he should have a strong chance at finishing Krovchensky on the ground.

Prediction:

This fight comes down to whether French can defend in the clinch against Krovchensky long enough to pull the fight into Krovchenskys’ weakness.

Winner: Vercingetorix Frenchy

Fights like these are hard to predict, but as long as Frenchy can punish Krovchensky outside of the clinch he should be able to win this match cleanly.

1-1 Joe Lugg vs 1-0 Tori Kankunnen

This is going to be a very interesting fight to watch as each fighter is going to be pitting their strengths against the others’. Kankunnen will be trying to take Lugg down and pound him to within an inch of his life while Lugg will be trying to submit him whether from on top or bottom.

Joe Lugg has above average ground submission game and is subpar in everything else. He wants this fight on the ground where his BJJ can showcase itself.

Tori Kankunnen is the first example of a pure wrestler type so far in this event and he is a prime example of how scary fighters like this can be. He shows good takedowns as well as debilitating ground and pound.

Prediction:

This is a clear cut example of two fighters who want the same thing, but in different ways. While both fighters want to be on the ground they are going to be seeking out different win conditions.

Winner: Tori Kankunnen

While Lugg has looked lackluster in both of his fights and as such its hard to see him beating the frightening ground and pound of Kankunnen. If he wants any chance of victory he will have to weather the ground and pound long enough for Kankunnen to tire himself out and how an opening otherwise Lugg will be beaten to a pulp in a very one sided looking fight.

0-0 Armin Schulz vs 1-0 Marcus Timmons

Schulz is looking to bring his wrestling game to the SyFi event in his debut while Timmons looks to show his unorthodox style of using his exemplary boxing within the clinch.

Armin Schulz looks to be a good wrestler who also utilizes BJJ to bring the fight to a close if he sees the opportunity. It will be a good test in his debut fight.

Marcus Timmons has already shown that his fighting style is worthy of victory and he will look to stuff down the rookie’s takedown attempts just as he did in his debut fight where he stuffed 15 out of 18 takedown attempts.

Prediction:

This fight looks like it will be a rough debut for Schulz as Timmons has already shown his resilience to being taken down. Still as we have yet to see Schulz in action so it will be a battle between his takedown and Timmons takedown defense.

Winner: Marcus Timmons

Its hard to say with certainty that Marcus will win having not seen Schulz fight, but all signs point to a relatively easy victory for Timmons through his exemplay boxing and takedown defense.

0-0 Ingo Butzhammer vs 0-0 Erwin Miller

This fight pits two men debuting in the SFC at the same time. One of these 2 rookies gets to start off their career with a win while the other gets a large set back in the rankings.

Ingo Butzhammer has stellar muay thai, but is lackluster in all other things so its obvious that he will attempt to clitch at every opportunity.

Erwin Miller will be looking to keep separation from his opponents with superior boxing in order to control the fight and hopefully knock them out.

Prediction:

This fight will come down to whether or not Butzhammer can close with Miller it will be fun to watch these 2 men debut together in an event with some of the best fighters from the SFC.

Winner: Ingo Butzhammer

Miller will find out first hand just how difficult it is to stop a determined dirty boxer from getting a hold of him and it will probably be a painful lesson for him.

1-0 Zach Banoe vs 0-0 Derrick Ferguson

On one hand we have Banoe who looked less than impressive in the victory he eeked out in his QFC debut where he won by decision 28-29. On the other we have Ferguson with impressive boxing and BJJ making his debut.

Zach Banoe appears to be a fighter who has potential, but lacks experience and as such may make huge improvements from fight to fight. However, if he enters this fight with the same gameplan as his last fight he will leave with a disappointing loss on his hands.

Derrick Ferguson has an odd mix of boxing and BJJ that shows while he may prefer to keep it standing he isn’t a slouch on the ground either. He will look to avoid the clinch while peppering Banoe with punches.

Prediction:

This fight will come down Banoe’s clinch vs Ferguson’s boxing and a battle of BJJ on the ground in between.

Winner: Derrick Ferguson

Despite this being his debut Ferguson looks like the more experienced fighter and I expect him to win standing and if Banoe clinches you can expect Ferguson to pull him into guard and use his superior ground game to outmaneuver Banoe.

3-0 Isebrand Gustav vs 1-0 Pyotr Petrov

This battle features what many argue is the best fighter pound for pound in the SFC Isebrand Gustav as he prepares to slug it out with Pyotr Petrov a very promising 19 year old fighter trying to establish himself within the SFC. Personally this is the fight I am most excited to see the results of as both of these fighters are extremely good stand up fighters.

Isebrand Gustav has had 3 successful fights and has even managed to get sponsored after only 3 fights. Surprisingly he has more submissions than Knock Outs as his Ground game is equally impressive as his stand up fighting.

Pyotr Petrov is a very solid boxer with a good balance between aggression and waiting out his opponent’s punches. We will see if his slightly better stand up fighting works against the #1 fighter in SFC.

Prediction:

While Isebrand Gustav is going in as the favorite these fighters look very evenly matched and the only thing Gustav has over Petrov is fight experience so we will see if sheer skill will allow Petrov to earn the win in what is sure to be a very exciting fight.

Winner: Pyotr Petrov

As the better fighter on his feet I believe Petrov will win this fight, because although Gustav has strong ground game he has little ability to actually bring the fight to the ground as such Petrov’s superior boxing should give him the advantage.

3-1 Pat Williams vs 1-1 Chris Davis

In this young fight organization we have two of the more experienced fighters going up head to head in our main event of the night. Both of these fighters are slated to be great fighters in the Lightweight class. Williams is probably the fighter with the best ground game and he is going head to head with one of the best muay thai fighters in the SFC in what looks to be an exciting fight that may even go the distance.

As a brown belt in BJJ Williams will be looking to get this fight on the ground as much as he can in order to dominate Davis whether from bottom or top. His only black mark came against a now 5-1 fighter and even so he lost in a decision against an opponent he had already beaten once.

Chris Davis Has very impressive muay thai and will be looking to keep this fight on his feet in order to control and punish Williams in the clinch. The only person to defeat Davis just like Williams nemesis is also a 5-1 fighter who beat him in a narrow decision making this fight look even better on paper as both have only lost to very good opponents.

Prediction:

This fight is probably the most difficult fight to predict as both of these fighters have good track records and have shown that they have what it takes to be a top fighter in the lightweight division.

Winner: Pat Williams

While Davis is a very impressive fighter I believe that Williams will be able to take him to the ground from the clinch and submit him, however this fight could go either way and its tough to say either fight has an edge up on the other. Either way this event has the potential to be fight of the night and is a fitting main card to the SFC’s first ever main event. Even the owner of the SFC had trouble deciding who would win this and had this to say about it “ In our first Man Event we were looking for experience, Pat Williams with his 3-1 record brings a lot of hype, and Chris Davis also has a 1-1 record. The Fans should really expect a highlight fight here. It's the classic MMA match of a Submission Specialist vs. a Muay Thai Grappler, it's really an open fight, with no clear cut favourite.

Thanks everyone for reading through this article and I hope this event proves to be as exciting as it seems to be. This event has 0 fights that look like they won’t be decided by a finisher and should prove to be very entertaining with some upsets and some fighters giving themselves a strong case for being in the running when the belts become up for grabs. I would also like to give a shout out to the organizations’ Merch partner Phantom Fightwear who is sponsoring many of the fighters appearing in this event. Enjoy the Show and best luck to all of the fighters.
