Hello Hello. Let's recap SAFO 39 from the completely sold out Hard Knocks in Las Vegas. Not one winner left their fate in the hands of the judges as every fight was stopped inside of the distance counting nine ko/Tkos.

Diaz vs Stallion

Jerking the curtain was two first time pros. Diaz tried like hell to get the fight into the clinch and/or to the ground, but it was Stallion avoiding the grappling and landing 37 out of 37 punches to the head and body. Finally the barrage was too much for Diaz by the end of the first round getting cracked and dropped twice. The second time Stallion followed him to the old and forced the ref to intervene.

145 (0-2) Bakocevic vs (6-2) Thompson

Interesting fight as Bakocevic chose to immediately take the fight to the ground. It turned out to be poor strategy as he was immediately put in a triangle and submitted. Earning Thompson another win and a sotn bonus.

185 3-6 Lahey vs 0-0 Dudayev

Trevor Lahey was facing the newcomer to the sport looking to get his career on track. Lahey scored an early takedown, but soon later decided to stand back up. Maybe should have stayed trying his luck on the mat, because Midway through the very first round he was clipped and finished by TKO. Word out of the camp is that Lahey will be going back to the trailer park looking for new management.

155 3-2 Jackson vs 13-15 Hansen

Hansen just couldn't get off in this fight. Throwing only one punch. He was smothered by Jackson, taken into the clinch and just didn't have the ability to do anything there. Jackson smashed 24 unanswered strikes into Hansen leading to the TKO.

205 title fight 6-1 Wells vs 5-1 Balls

Vernon Wells was looking for redemption in this rematch after losing his title previously to Balls. The first round looked like Wells was on his way and took it on the judges cards. Early in the second, however, Balls would land a counter right hand that put Wells on queer street and it wasn't long after he finished the job.

265+ 10-15 Kraag vs 18-20 Petrovs

Two veterans of the cage squared off looking to stay relevant in the 265+ division. 5 seconds into the second round Petrovs got caught with a big right hand. Kraag followed up to earn the TKO victory

135 title fight! 9-4 Rram vs 2-0 Valdes.

Another title fight and one I was on pins and needles for. The big question here was if it was too much too fast for Valdes. Turns out maybe it was. Valdes tried desperately to get the fight to the mat. Eventually Rram would score an ultimate highlight knockout sending Valdes mouthpiece flying into the crowd. Earning Rram knockout of the night.

145 title fight! 4-0 Farrokhzod vs 6-0 Goncalves

Goncalves has been on a roll, but now was facing the champ. The champ tested Goncalves in the first round and had him rocked badly. It didn't look like he would see the first bell, but the champ clinched possibly giving him time to recover and see the end of the round. 3:29 into the second Goncalves landed a three punch combo that the champ couldn't bounce back from. What a great back and forth war from these guys earning FOTN.

155 title fight! 8-0 Turban vs 12-2 Gracie

Another premier match-up for the lightweight strap. A classic striker vs grappler fight. Gracie wasn't able to get it to the mat and therefore not able to last very long against the heavy punching Turban. Turban now has the most wins and knockout wins ever in the organization. Announcer Bloe Scrogan wondered aloud if it was time to induct Turban into the HOF

Closing the show at 265+ were p4p greats 22-9 Finnegan vs 30-28 Suckerpunch. It was an even back and forth battle through the first round and into the second. Finally the exchanges cought up to Suckerpunch and Finnegan won the tko and possible title shot in the near future.
