I'm called "Ljevica Smrti" for a reason ( it means Left foot of death). You're gonna be out cold, while I'm out drinking a cold one with the 100 000 that you will owe me.

Voshon Daniels: Yo, Frank, man, you gotta get yoself up out that Cozad Gym man. All you gonna do come fight night is stink up the place, smelling like unwashed feet and shit. Shit, I almost wanna give you some money just so you can afford to train in a good gym, but naw... fuck that! you get yoself into a good gym though, man. I want you to be at your best, and that shit ain't gonna happen if you trainin' in that nasty ass place. It smells more like a Russian sweat lodge then a gym. Shit man, have some self respect.

As predicted, I smashed the shit out my opponent (then his wife) So now I'm basically the uncrowned champ, fighters are shit scared to fight me which was confirmed by the two cowards who declined to fight me. Someone finally maned up,so I'll go easy on him and KO him quick instead of giving a prolonged beating

SyFi 3 The Strong Shall Rise

SyFi 3 will continue the SFC’s string of successful events. Each event so far has had exciting fights with many fighters debuting while others continue already existing win sprees. The Organizer had this to say about the previous 2 events: “I have to say both fights were great, but whats even greater to me is the development of the Org over these two Events, we got a great Logo, a new Belt, which we can present once we start Handing out titles. In addition our upcoming events have great posters, and behind the scenes a lot of deals could be made, that will bring this Organisation much further. Looking at the Fight Card, one fighter caught my Eye, Rick Piano, he really made short work of Croatian Cop, and looks a great fighter. I guess if we can secure him on the long run here, the road to the title will be only via him.Frankly I agree with him Piano looks to be one of the better fighters so far in the events, but even he can’t get too confident as their are many other impressive fighters in the SFC.

This card has many impressive fights that look to be impressive with little chance of there being a disappointing fight. I asked the organizer of SyFi 3 which card he was most excited for and told me “Usually the Main Event has you most excited, but for me, not here, I really like the Big Guys, 265+ and that offers some great Matches here, having some of my fighters on the card, but most interesting should be Fhin vs. Thepins, two great Boxers, whose record not looks so positive, but I really hope they bang themself to a great finish.

1-1 Conor Henderson vs 1-0 Balzar Ishura

Conor Henderson comes into this fight having only fought the same person twice. Conor was able to show in both fights that he has sloppy standup, but a potent ground game if he can bring it there.

Balzar Ishura won his fight through his strong ground game pulling guard and using his superior BJJ to submit his opponent in a long match. His conditioning appears to be rather impressive and he doesn’t mind fighting from his back.

Prediction:

Each fighter wants to take it down to the ground on their own terms where the better submission artist will take home the victory.

Winner: Balzar Ishura

While Henderson is by far the better wrestler, Ishura doesn’t mind being taken down as he enjoys fighting from his back. Whether Henderson tries to use ground and pound or submissions Ishura’s strong conditioning should lead to him winning this match via submission.

2-1 Eddie Johnson vs 0-0 “Ducati” DaQuan Zachary

While Johnson had a very disappointing debut where he ran out of steam quickly after being stuffed repeatedly, he redeemed himself in his next two fights. This fighter utilizes a combination of clinches and wrestling in order to take the fight to the ground where he utilizes ground and pound to wear on his opponent before submitting them.

“Ducati” is someone who decided to save his debut for the SFC and what a debut it looks to be! He will be looking to stuff the takedowns of Johnson and beat him standing up or in the clinch.

Prediction:

These two fighters are looking to do completely different things in this fight and the clash between their differing styles will be fun to see. Standup Vs Ground who will win?

Winner: Eddie Johnson

Don’t underestimate what 3 fights of experience can teach you. Johnson is weaker on his feet and I don’t expect him to be able to take down Zachary, however Once Zachary initiates a clinch I expect Johnson to easily pull guard and control from there.

0-0 Herbert “Flyer” Fliegknecht vs 0-0 Zabit “Maugli” Samedov

“Flyer” has the obvious goal of keeping this fight on his feet with a slight preference for the clinch. As long as he doesn’t get taken down expect him to put on a show with this strong standup.

“Maugli” is the classic example of a clinch fighter with an above average ground game as well. He will try to dominate from the clinch and if it goes poorly for him he can always pull guard and put his opponent to sleep from there.

Prediction:

Both these fighters are looking to debut in strong fashion to secure their spot in the SFC. They both have strong fighting from the clinch, what aspect of the clinch game will be a strong determining factor in who wins this fight. He will look to emulate his fellow fighter who won in the first event.

Winner: Zabit “Maugli” Samedov

His ability to bring this fight to the ground if this fight goes poorly gives him the edge against this one dimensional opponent and as such should be a fight he wins.

0-0 Matt “Guvna” Wills vs 0-0 Harald “Viking” Knochmal

“Guvna” is a pure wrestler who will look to control from on top using takedowns and ground and pound. However, like most wrestlers don’t make the mistake of assuming he is all brawn and no brain. If he spots a weakness his BJJ is not to be underestimated and he can also utilize it to end the fight.

“Viking” is a fighter with solid boxing and just as strong wrestling. It will be interesting to see how he utilizes these two strengths to try and push his opponent into defeat.

Prediction:

Both of these debuting fighters have strong wrestling with the edge going to Wills. However, on their feet Knochmal is obviously the stronger fighter.

Winner: Matt “Guvna” Wills

His superior wrestling should allow him to take Knochmal to the ground and control the fight from on top where he will either beat him into oblivion or submit him.

1-1 Jigga “Black Magic” Boo vs 0-0 Jeff “Lumberjack” Messer

“Black Magic” has shown that his stand up is no joke especially his deadly kicks. We haven’t really gotten to see his action from the clinch yet, but according to those around him his clinch game is no slouch either.

“Lumberjack” has the clear goal of keeping this fight on his feet and has the boxing skills to give anyone who goes toe to toe with him pause. He also has decent wrestling most likely resulting from his extensive practice preventing takedowns.

Prediction:

This fight will be an exciting showcase where Messer tries to make his successful debut and Boo tries to avoid a losing record. Thai vs Boxer who will win?

Winner: Jeff “Lumberjack” Messer

I believe Messer can keep this fight at a distance and avoid the clinch attempts from Boo resulting in Messer defeating Boo.

0-1 Cat “Chunky” Fhin vs 1-1 Scot “Scot” Thepins

“Chunky” is a strong boxer looking to stay away from his opponent and wear his opponent down with superior technique. He looked very poor at keeping his fight in his first fight and has hopefully been training to fix that issue.

“Scot” has a very interesting fight strategy where he mixes parts of each style into his own hybrid style. While he had trouble against another ground opponent he appears to do very well against stand up fighters.

Prediction:

Fhin will look to keep Thepins on his guard against the superior boxing skills Fhin brings to the table. Thepins on the other hand will utilize his unique style to punish every mistake Fhin makes.

Winner: Scot “Scot” Thepins

Thepins has already shown that against a boxer he is very strong and I expect him to do so again against Fhin.

0-0 Emil “Kommisar” Derrick vs 2-2 Ryan “The Badger” Wilson

“Kommisar” is coming in as a young all round fighter (sorry about losing your hair at 18 man) with decent striking and muay thai, but poor BJJ. He will most likely try to keep the fight standing as thats the only area he has the advantage.

“The Badger” has a rather impressive ground game, but very poor stand up. His previous matches showcased this as he lost on his feet and won from his back.

Prediction:

It’s hard to predict the winner of this match, but it will come down to whether Kommisar can keep his feet against Wilson.

Winner: Emil “Kommisar” Derrick

Normally I would pick Wilson in this matchup, but his low stamina coming into the fight will prove to be a handicap I don’t think he can overcome.

2-0 Alek Ivanov vs 2-0 Nicholas “Danger” Diaz

Ivanov is a fighter coming in off of two straight victories by knock out both using knees. He loves to fight in the clinch where he punishes his opponents body with knees and crushes their desire to fight in a grind them down style of fighting.

Diaz on the other hand has a wait and see counter fighter strategy where he takes everything his opponent has and then finishes it on his own terms using striking, clinch or wrestling.

Prediction:

This is a battle of opposites as Ivanov likes to take the pace and go after his opponent while Diaz has a more laid back countering gameplan. It all comes down to whether Diaz can counter what Ivanov throws at him.

Winner: Alek Ivanov

While Diaz is the more diverse fighter, I believe that letting Ivanov take control of the fight is a huge mistake as his low risk body focus is well suited to tearing apart a counter puncher little by little.

1-0 Dylan Harrison vs 0-2-1 Anderthorn “Headhunter” Winnsleth

Harrison looked very impressive in his debut as he utilized ground and pound to beat his opponent into unconsciousness. He uses strong wrestling to take his opponent to the ground where he uses both elbows and punches to beat them senseless.

“Headhunter” is a jack of all trades and master of none. His fights have gone very poorly for him, but expect him to target his opponent’s weakness and try to exploit it for victory.

Prediction:

This fight will depend on whether Winnsleth can abuse the lack of stand up skill from Harrison or not. If Harrison takes it to the ground he is superior in every way.

Winner: Dylan Harrison

Harrison’s weaknesses are not easily punishable as you first have to defend his takedowns which is something that to date no one has been able to do.

2-0 Mike “Thunder Heart” Chang vs 0-0 Dani Yadin

“Thunder Heart” is a very diverse fighter and is an example of how mixing styles can work if done correctly. He will be trying to force Yadin out of his comfort zone and into the method of fighting Chang favors.

Yadin is your average Muay Thai stand up fighter looking to keep things standing, because of his lackluster ground game. His debut could result in him looking very impressive if he manages to stay on his feet.

Prediction:

This fight pits a fighter making his debut against the 14th P4P ranked Chang in what is sure to be a great main event.

Winner: Mike “Thunder Heart” Chang

Chang’s ability to mix things up should allow him to punish the holes in Yadin’s fighting style. However, his lack of BJJ skill may result in an unexpected loss.

Most of these fights just as in the previous events have little experience and few previous fights meaning the potential for an upset is very likely throughout the card. Once again I’d like to thank Phantom Wear in Tokyo for sponsoring many of the fighters appearing in the event with a special shout out to Doherty’s Gym and the Evil Empire Alliance.

SyFi 4 Arrival Of A New Star

SyFi 4 has an obvious overtone in that we have a whopping ten fighters making their debut against fighters who have already debuted or are much more experienced. This gives these new fighters a chance to springboard themselves in the rankings within the organization and gives the veterans a chance to cement their positions in the top of the power rankings. As is tradition in my articles I had two questions for Boble coming into this organization the first of which was in regards to how he thought this battle of experience vs talent/youth would go. Oh well, yes, of course experience in the cage matters a lot, but when you look at these fighters in training, those rookies look damn good. I feel like it's a 50/50 chance for the non experienced fighters in most fights, but we will see in the cage, how all the training worked, and who might come in a little bit green.

Of course I had to follow this question up with: Which of these 10 rookies are you most excited to watch? To Which Boble had this to say:

Definetly Arn Anderson, he's a great BJJ specialist facing a boxer with tons of experience, but believe me, if he gets Theodore van Anderson on the ground, he has some skills.....but that fight is especially to be looked after as we first had to check, if these guys are somehow related to each other, but nothing to be found.

0-0 Hodi “Much Love” Garbandit VS 1-0 Jason “Caurdinho” Murdock

Hodi is a rookie making his debut with the SFC, but he has no shortage of confidence coming into this fight. However, his confidence stems from the fact that in pure technique he has the best muay thai in his weight class.

Murdock had a rocky debut, but he won in a close decision against an opponent better than his record shows. He mixes muay thai with ground game to abuse his opponents and wear them down.

Prediction:

Expect Murdock to come in gunning as his opponent egged him on into accepting the fight. Garbandit is extremely strong from a clinch, however I expect his opponent to try and take this fight to the ground so it will all come down to how well Garbandit defends take down attempts.

Winner: Jason “Caurdinho” Murdock

Murdock is no slouch in the clinch himself and as such should be able to survive the clinch long enough to take Garbandit down where Murdock has the clear advantage.

0-0 Markus “Menchov” Hambucher VS 0-0 Karl Anthony Towns

“Menchov” is another example of a well rounded boxer who has utilized his training time to not only learn proficient boxing skills, but to learn muay thai and wrestling to a small degree as well.

Towns just as the fighter in our opener is probably the most technically talented muay thai fighters in his class. If he can get close enough to clinch expect it to be an ugly match for Hambucher.

Prediction:

This is the classic example of boxer vs muay thai and as always it will come down to the individuals involved as to which one ends up with the win at the end of the night.

Winner: Markus “Menchov” Hambucher

While Towns is coming in confident even going so far as to call his opponent fresh meat I think this confidence is unfounded. Normally I would pick Towns as the winner based on stats alone, but as his manager has a 3-24 record I find it hard to have any confidence in him coming away with the victory in this one.

0-0 Petchuangtong Sitsongrit VS 1-0 Kento Ban Gbus

Sitsongrit comes from a family with strong Thai fighters and looks to continue the family trend of dominating whatever sport they are involved in. His brother has already proven their bloodline can win a championship in Muay Thai now the little brother will look to assert their dominance in the MMA scene.

Gbus looked very impressive in his debut fight. While it was a very textbook non flashy win, he portrayed every trait one looks for in a champion caliber fighter. His opponent tried take down and clinch attempt after another and Gbus managed to avoid them all while scoring shot after shot on his opponent.

Prediction:

Yet another classic example of boxing vs Muay Thai. Both fighters will look to utilize their strengths to impose on their opponent the style of their choosing.

Winner: Kento Ban Gbus

I must admit to having a personal bias towards Muay Thai fighters, but Gbus is one of the few boxers I’ve seen able to avoid clinches and takedowns with ease and I expect him to pick his opponent apart from a distance without being forced into the clinch and punished.

0-3 Agaxan Ibragimov VS 0-0 Gandolf “Magician” Schmidt

Ibragimov has had three straight losses in which he showcased just how poor his resistance to submissions is. Luckily for him this opponent has 0 skill in that department and as such he may have a shot at winning.

Schmidt is yet another fighter making his debut and by all appearances this should be an easy one for him. As long as he can keep his opponent at a distance he should be able to pick him apart for the victory.

Prediction:

This fight is one fighter trying to stop his fall into oblivion while another tries to start his rise into stardom. Ibragimov will be looking to close on Schmidt and force him into a clinch or take him down while Schmidt will try to do his best impression of a bull fighter and ole his way to victory.

Winner: Gandolf “Magician” Schmidt

The biggest concern I have about Ibragimov is his conditioning. In his fights he tends to get winded very easily and as he will be the one having to be the agressor the drain on his stamina will be significantly higher.

0-0 Ivar “Loftbrook” The Boneless VS 0-0 Ole “The Rock” Anderson

As is the trend for this event Ivar is a pure stand up fighter whether its kicks or punches he has it all along with some good wrestling to pair it with.

Anderson is a great ground fighter with BJJ just as dangerous. He will look to take down his opponent and wear them down with some ground and pound before finishing them via submission.

Prediction:

This will become a fight that hinges on the takedown defense and balance of The Boneless as he tries to keep the fight on his feet and prevent Anderson from taking it into his domain.

Winner: Ole “The Rock” Anderson

Can you smell what the rock is cookin? I can as the relentless takedown attempts from Anderson may be stuffed once or twice, but all it takes is one and I don’t expect “Loftbrook” to manage to get back to his feet again.

3-3 Brock “BB” Bolt VS 0-0 Jorn “Killer” Diener

Brock is probably the most experienced fighter with the most octagon appearances of anyone in the SFC. While he hasn’t looked impressive in every fight he has the experience from three other organizations to back him.

“Killer” will have a tough debut as his opponent has much more experience. We will find out whether the more experienced fighter reigns supreme in this fight or whether the combination of boxing and wrestling Diener utilizes will be enough to achieve victory in this one.

Prediction:

This will either be a fight where Diener tries to stay away and pick Bolt apart or he will try and preempt Bolt’s takedowns with his own.

Winner: Jorn “Killer” Diener

“BB” is a much more experienced fighter, but he has a bad track record against boxer/wrestlers despite this being Diener’s debut I would give him a very slight edge against Bolt, but this fight is very much up for grabs.

1-0 John “Lucky” Sullivan VS 1-0 Kukri “Aussie” Freeman

Sullivan won his debut in comeback fashion after taking a series of leg kicks. His power looked impressive as he knocked his opponent out with very few strikes showing his power can turn around a fight quickly.

Freeman’s debut on the other hand was rather odd. He used his boxing to strong effect, but managed to do most of his damage in the clinch which his opponent favored. He showcased sheer confidence by entering the domain of his opponent and dominating him there.

Prediction:

This is probably going to be one of the most fun fights to watch as these two fighters are extremely similar in both style and skill. They will both be showcasing boxing to the best of their abilities.

Winner: John “Lucky” Sullivan

Sullivan showed that he can fight in a clinch as well resulting in me giving him a slight edge in this one, but this fight could easily go either way.

5-1 Lartem “The Goat” Obov VS 0-0 Karl “Bus” Flix

Obov is one of only thre fighters in this event who have had 6 or more fights and he is by far the most impressive of the three. He showcases an all-around style in order to attack the weaknesses of whatever opponent he faces. His record speaks for how well he has done at picking out these weaknesses accurately as his only loss is to one of the top rookies in all of mma.

Flix on the other hand has zero experience and will have a daunting task ahead of him in climbing the mountain that Obov represents. He will have to try and punish Obov in the clinch in order to have any chance of pulling off this upset.

Prediction:

Rookie versus veteran who will win? This one seems like it will be a rather one sided affair, but you never know what could happen in this sport we love.

Winner: Lartem “The Goat” Obov

This one has a clear cut favorite in Obov. 7 years and 6 fights more experience has him pegged to crush Flix and possibly even the rest of the 145 pound division.

5-2 Theodore “The Alligator” Van Anderson VS 0-0 Arn “The Enforcer” Anderson

Theodore comes in as the most experienced fighter of this event and will look to help show that in this event experience matters. He has a rather mixed style with more focus in keeping his feet than taking his opponent to the ground.

“The Enforcer” will have a tough time beating this monster, but his ability on the ground is hands down above his opponents’ leaving him a glimmer of hope in this one if he can get to the ground whether on top or bottom.

Prediction:

Theodore will have to keep this fight standing or he will most definitely be upset by his opponent in this one. The biggest issue The Enforcer will face is taking down his opponent.

Winner: Theodore “The Alligator” Van Anderson

At first glance this fight seems like its easy to call however, i believe this one will be a very close fight. “The Alligator” has never faced a purple belt and he has been submitted twice in his career making this an interesting prospect. However, since his defeats early on to submissions he seems to have shored up his defense and beat 3 blue belts in a row after those losses.

2-0 Marcelo Barbosa VS 1-0 Gary “The Mighty” Dema

Barbosa looks to continue his submission spree in this fight against the formidable Dema. He has showcased impressive BJJ and is the most technically proficient BJJ artist within the organization being the proud owner of a black belt.

Dema is a fighter who looks to utilize the clinch and batter his opponent with blows. In his debut he used impressive knees and elbows to knock batter his opponent until he tapped out due to strikes something rarely seen in mma.

Prediction:

This fight will be a big fight from Dema to try and keep it in the clinch while Barbosa tries to pull guard. It will come down to how much damage Dema can do before he is pulled down.

Winner: Marcelo Barbosa

Once Dema takes this fight into the clinch Barbosa should have an easy time of pulling guard where his impressive BJJ should showcase itself as he submits Dema from bottom.

As Always a special thanks to the Phantom Fightwear clothing organization for sponsoring both the event and many of the fighters within the event.

SyFi 4 provided the first Sellouts for Sydney Fighting, a respectable 700 fan crowd showed up, and cheered the SyFi debutants.

The action was highlighted by Quick KO, devestating Subs and hard fought decisions.

The 265+ fighters saw some great action, with the Anderson brothers Ole and Arn picking up wins as well as Gandolf Schmidt. In the Main Event Marcelo Barbosa showed his class at 135, raining strikes on Gary Dema to force a stoppage. John Sullivan at 205 landed a super KO, and brought himselt in title discussions. Fight of the night went to the youngsters Towns and Hambucher, with Towns out striking his opponent to a decision win.
