Ammond after failing to defend his belt against Stoddler is looking to climb his way back to the number 1 contender spot in order to regain his former throne. He'll be matched up against Scott Smith who fights in a similar style to him as both fighters are deadly submission artists who shy away from the striking aspect of mixed martial arts. All 9 of Smith's wins have come from submission as Ammond is no slouch of his own with 5 submission victories to his name. This should be an entertaining grappling contest as two high level grapplers go at it.

We've got a good one for you here for the co-main event. Having lost his title to Orndorf, former light heavyweight champion Georges "The Guillotine" Danton looks to get back on track against newcomer Frederich Lawson. Lawson is the better boxer of the two but Danton has the edge in every other facet of the fight game. What Lawson does have going for him is that he's got great KO power in those hands of his which he uses exceptionally well as evidenced by all 8 of his wins coming from KO. Danton also has a 100% finish rate in his 5 wins but we'll see if he's mentally recovered from that beating Orndorf put on him as there have been reports about his low morale following that loss.

Liam "Soul Eater" James is another hot prospect for RISE as the 20 year old steps into the octagon against Bon "Jon" Dones at RISE 45. James has rebounded from his first career loss with a second round KO at RISE 41 and looks to make his way up to a title fight some time in the near future. Dones is a new RFL signing who's an exceptionally talented wrestler that's looking to take you down and pound your face in a la Khabib Nurmagomedov. James on the other hand is looking to piece you up with his striking and he's done so decisively with 5 knockout wins. We'll see how James can deal with the pressure of a wrestler in this fight as Dones will want no part of keeping this fight as a striking contest.

We've got a good one for you here as Bantamweight champ Glass Joe moves up a weight class to the featherweight class to take on Ronald Mateo Suarez who fell short in his last match against the featherweight champ Andre 3000. The 21 yr old Suarez is looking to build up some hype for another shot at the title while Glass Joe is looking to put the division on notice with his featherweight debut. If he does manage to get the win here we've gotta be looking at a super fight between the two champs. But lets not get ahead of ourselves as Suarez is no pushover. In fact on paper Joe is in for a tough night as Suarez has a major size advantage and is much better in the clinch. Joe's got wonderful boxing but it'll be hard to over come the reach disadvantage while Suarez is a superb boxer in his own right. Suarez's strength also lies in his top level wrestling but both fighters are fairly average on the ground. It'll be interesting for sure to see how Joe fares at 145.

Pension Buckets has not been having a great time recently going 2-5 in his last 7 fights. Kendali is more of a traditional boxer while Buckets has more of a well rounded striking repertoire as he's a good boxer with a Muay Thai base. Both men are decent wrestlers and are about even on the ground. Should be a good heavyweight fight between two hard hitters boasting 100% finish rates. Who's going to land a solid hit first between two big boys is the question of this fight.

A couple new faces to RFL here as Timmy Thompson and Lani Kirby face off for a rematch from their IXF days. Kirby won the first go around by armbar but that was 3 months ago. Thompson has since earned his purple belt and looks to avenge that submission loss. On paper he also has the advantage in the striking department as he's a wonderful kickboxer. Kirby's strength lies with his wrestling and he might have to rely on it if he starts getting lit up on his feet. How much it helps him against an improved Thompson once he gets him to the ground is another question.

Both fighters have major flaws in their skillset at the moment but we'll see who can take advantage of it. Quick may be great on his feet but he's had trouble stopping takedowns as he's allowed 57% of his opponents takedown attempts while looking pretty lost on the ground. Wolf on the other hand has won all 6 of his fights by submission but when he's failed to take his opponent down he's been knocked out cold in the first minute for all three of his losses.

Going off MMA math Falcone should take this since he's coming off a nice win over Max Onera who won a unanimous decision over Pontes 3 months ago. But we all know MMA math means nothing so we've gotta see these two go at it. Pontes is your prototypical striker who's got strong TDD. Falcone much the same prefers to keep things standing but he's also a strong wrestler and a purple belt BJJ practitioner although he's never had to show off his ground game yet. If you like watching two excellent strikers do their thing this is going to be a match you want to keep an eye on.

Both guys coming off a loss are looking to turn things around and get back on track and make their way up the rankings. Look for Changggg to keep his distance and McNugget to find a way to close in while avoiding power shots. Not much more needs to be said as we've seen both of these guys and we look forward to seeing if they've added anything new to their arsenals.

Our first match will be featuring two young prospects. Son Gohan will be debuting in his first professional fight against Niudu Kakka who started his career at RFL strong with 3 wins in a row but has been slumping lately coming off his second consecutive loss. This looks to be a fairly even fight on paper and should be pretty exciting. Both fighters are decent on their feet but their strengths lie more with their grappling and wrestling. Gohan may have the slight advantage at range while Kakka might prefer to clinch against Gohan. Otherwise, Kakka has the more decorated wrestling resume while Gohan has the experience advantage in jujutsu. Kakka's proven to have some power as all 4 of his wins have come by KO or TKO. Gohan on the other hand as this is his first professional fight we'll see what he's made of.

This will the second time these two face off against each other as the first time they've gone head to head was in the first round of LACC 2. Silverio managed to find his way through Puto's defenses and submitted him with a rear naked choke. Puto managed to win out the rest of his tournament and will have his chance at redemption here. Puto is a sensational wrestler and his advantage there should play a part in how this all unfolds.

Hermann is the superior wrestler so look for him to use that wrestling technique to find himself a path to victory. The winner of this match has good reason to call for a shot at the title next.

Eleven Thus far has seems to have more of a aggressive style as all three of his prior matches at LACC have ended in submission with only one going his way. Loco however seems much more defensive as all four of his fights have gone to decision with only 1 win to his name. Not to say he's boring however as his one win was awarded the fight of the night. Should be a fairly even match as both brown belts are looking to stop their losing streaks.

RFL-47 was a successful event which saw some interesting developments in it. First off, congratulations to all the winners but especially the following fighters:

1. Mike Sadollah. Mike won against a very game opponent in Robert Vanderweil, who, on paper, looks to be technically more skilled. Mike's win cemented his position as the Number One Contender for the title and he will be facing the champion after the next title fight. Whether his opponent will be Glass Joe, the current champion, or against Eta Knox, the challenger, remains to be seen.
2. Torcadall "The Wall" Sailcirc. I was starting to feel bad about having made this match-up since it seemed so likely to be a one sided victory for Creed, who is an absolute beast. But Sailcirc was able to best the undefeated prospect with a guillotine choke that put the beast down.
3. Carmelo Anthony. Secured his second title defense against a determined, but ultimately completely outclassed Ion Pascu. No one can doubt the heart of Pascu who never back down from the challenge, but just falls short of ability against this one particular opponent. Some fighters just have your number, and Carmelo Anthony certainly has Pascu's number, as he remains the only person to have ever beaten Pascu.

Starting in November there will be a monthly prize of 20k for most correct for the whole month.
