Pulse 52 - Aldo vs Chonan III Preview

Live on Saturday 10th December 2016 from the 2,000 capacity Hayashi's lounge, comes Pulse fighting championship 52. In the main event we will have 3 title bouts with a new lightweight world champion being crowned! We can expect a great event with a lot of fights not going to the judges!

Anderson "Spiderface" Aldo vs Piranha Chonan III for the MW PFC belt

In the main event we have MW champion Anderson "Spiderface" Aldo defending his belt against #1 ranked Piranha Chonan... Aldo is on a six fight winning streak since losing his only loss against Sebastien Ostereguy... An striker by nature, all his fights came to the short end except once. Chonan, the former MW PFC champion, looks to rebound from his previous losses against Aldo (both by TKO due to Doctor Stoppages) and by that, ending his streak and getting Pulse gold. A natural striker with a nasty clinchwork, 80% of Chonan's fights ended by TKO. Will he avenge his past losses ending Aldo's streak?

Prediction: Chonan evolved from his past fights with Aldo, but so did Aldo. Aldo couldn't knock Chonan on both ocasions and won't do it again. Aldo by decision

Von "Stomper" Cranial vs Zee "zzZZZzZzz" Snore for the PFC HW belt

In the co-main event we have a HW title bout with defending champion Von "Stomper" Cranial defending his belt against #1 ranked Zee "zzZZZzZzz" Snore on a fight that promises violence. Von Cranial looks quite unbeatable these days by going into this fight in a 8 fight winning streak with 7 coming by the way of K.O. This goliath have a lot of power on his hands and can only promise another K.O. Zee Snore is a promising prospect that came direct from the Island, where he only lost to Tommy Thunderking(which should be turned into a NC due to the Wolfgate) Snore holds a 90% finish ratio so this fight surely promise not go to the judges. Will Zee become the next Pulse FC champion or Cranial will add another victim to his cartel?

Prediction: This fights looks to be a pure striking match where Cranial somehow looks to have an advantage. Zee is a good prospect but maybe it was too much too soon. Cranial by second round K.O

Nosyaj "Punchline" Rram vs Von "The Professional" Magnaron II for the vacant PFC LW belt

Coming to the LW division we have a fight of 2 former PFC champions who are looking to the recover their lost gold. Nosyaj, a PFC veteran and the #1 LW ranked, originally used to fight at the 145 division. Then he went to the 155 where he found sucess against pulse veteran Hwai Ja, Von Magnaron(winning the belt) and Oregano Westjoin(defending his belt) winning all those fights by the way of decision before being stopped by Justin Midget who took his belt (and his arm) away. Midget vacated the title signing with another org, which rewarded Magnaron with a chance of revening one of his losses. Rram, a striker by nature destroyed Magnaron by Five rounds by utilizing a combination of striking and takedown defense. Magnaron the # LW ranked, once was a dimensional wrestler who couldn't win if could't take the fight to the ground, will look show how he improved to a complete fighter by coming to this fight in a modest 2 fight winning streak against 2 former PFC LW champions.

Prediction: As showed before, Magnaron still struggles against strikers, still, he has power on his hands and the better wrestling. Rram will probably have the edge at striking and by that he will probably dictate this bout. Rram by Decision is the choice to make.

Seun Adedji vs Bertil "Bullen" Bengtsson/170lbs

In the 170 division we have #2 against #3 in a fight that can truly secure the way to pulse gold. We have former PFC champion Bertil Bengtsson against Seun Adedji. Bengtsson a promising prospect who only knew what was a decision victory on his career once will look to extent his winning streak to three by taking #3 ranked Seun Adedji. Adedji, a muay thai speciallist only lost once on his career against former PFC WW champion and PFC HOF Yuzan Yakuza and currently rides a 4 fight winning streak.Bertil is a fighter that looks to take advantage on his opponents mistakes but as showed against Yonglong Li, he looks to have problems in the clinch. Adedji is a MT expert who looks to tire his opponent with a dangerous clinch game and eventually take the victory.

Prediction: This fight is a matter of who will score. Bertil with a clean punch or Adedji with a clean knee? By this lottery i can take Adedji by second round TKO.

Devon Destruction vs Yoko Honda /265lbs

Coming to the 265 division we take #3 former title contender Devon Destruction against former PFC HW champion and ranked #4 Yoko Honda on what can be defined as a classic striker vs grappler match. Devon is essencially a "sprawl'n'brawl fighter with a good TDD game and a lot of knockout power on his hands, since all his victories came by the way of knock out. Honda currently rides a 2 fight losing streak (against #2 and #1 ranked) and will look to get back to the winning streak. A talentous wrestler, Honda completed at least one takedown on all the fights he went.

Prediction: It's a matter of where this fight will go: To the ground its Honda's, in the standup, Devon's. Honda had a lot of problem with strikers and has a suspect chin. Still, his superior wrestling will secure his victory. Honda by second round submission is the choice to take.

Pulse 53 - Rizal vs Ama preview:

Live on Saturday 17th December 2016 from the 2,000 capacity Hayashi's lounge, comes Pulse fighting championship 53. In the main event we will have recently crowned champion Jose "ilustrado" Rizal defending his title against journeyman Baby Ama. Both fighters never went to the decision so don't expect this one to go too!.

Jose "ilustrado" Rizal vs Baby Ama for the PFC 145lbs belt

In the main event we have Jose"ilustrado" Rizal against Baby Ama. Riza recently took the PFC belt by submitting now retired wrestler Aleks Breznhev in a back an forth fight where Rizal's bjj and durability made him a champion in a surprisingly come from behind victory. A bjj brown belt who is also a boxer, Rizal never saw a decision in his career. Ama is coming from a 3 fight winning streak by also having tkoed every single opponent that ever faced him.

Prediction: This fight will be defined by where it will go. If we see ground action, Rizal will have the edge while if it stays on the striking range, we can see Ama's clinchwork and better striking securing a victory. In a hard fight, ill take Rizal by fourth round tko.

Bruce "The Hoodlum" Lee vs Roderick "El Aparador" Seterra/185 lbs

In the co-main event we have Pulse journeyman Roderick "El Aparador" Seterra against former title challenger Bruce "The Hoodlum" Lee. Both fighters are journeyman that will look to rebound their previews losses against reigning champion Anderson Aldo. Roderick is a MT fighter with 6 victories coming by the way of decision. Lee, a wrestleboxer have more power on his hands, since 5 of his 8 victories comes from the way of TKO.

Prediction: This will be a striking match since both fighters will probably wont even think at going to the ground. Lee probably have more power on his hands than Roderick. Roderick also have lost 4 times by tko on his career while Lee lost 5. Expect a knock out on this one and expect Lee doing that by the second round.

"Killer" Klay Thompson vs Kimbo "The Dog" Slime/170lbs

In the 170lbs division we have former Basketball player "Killer" Klay Thompson against PFC journeyman Kimbo "The Dog" Slime.
Thompson, a boxer with good chin will look to extend his winning streak to five while Slime will look to end his losing streak. Slime, a wrestler, can definitely have the edge on this one since he's more versatile than his opponent by being able to wrestle and boxing his opponent. Thompson, is also a purple belt in BJJ but never showed us his ground abilities. He also never needed to use them since all his victories comes by the way of TKO.

Prediction: Slime will have the better skills on this one but, besides having a granite chin, 4 of his 5 losses comes from the way of TKO so his chin is definitely suspect. If he can't take the fight to the ground, he will probably lose. Thompson showed on his fights an excellent defensive grappling. Also a great heart by winning fights where it all seemed lost. The problem is that checking his camp we can see that the morale wont be good to this fight and this will probably make him pay. Slime ends his losing streak by the way of second round TKO.

Pulse 54 - Yuesheng vs Dassler III preview:

Live on Saturday 24th December 2016 from the 2,000 capacity Hayashi's lounge, comes Pulse fighting championship 54. In the main event we will have the conclusion of a trilogy where reigning champion Du Yuesheng will try to defend his title against Adi "Adidas" Dassler.

Du Yuesheng vs Adi "Adidas" Dassler for the PFC 205lbs belt

In the main event we have the conclusion of the trilogy: Du Yuesheng vs Adi "Adidas" Dassler. This fight, as the other two are a promise of fireworks since both fights were competitive. Dassler made Yuesheng tap at pulse 38 while Yuesheng finished Dassler in one of the best fights PFC ever saw. Both fighters ever saw defeat once and only to each other on their career. Yuesheng finished all his opponent by the way of TKO whille Dassler finished all his opponents by the way of submission so the strategy is quite clear for both fighters.
Prediction: This promises to be one of the best fights Pulse has to offer this year. Dassler is quite a prospect with only 21 years but Yuesheng even at 29 is definitely still on his prime. By that we can say that its all a matter on where this fight will take place... And by that, ill definitely won't predict a winner.

Mamoru Date vs "Ordinary" Oregano Westjoin/155 lbs

In the co-main event we have a prospect battle at 155 with "Ordinay" Oregano Westjoin taking Mamoru Date. Westjoin, a promising prospect, is a powerfull striker, having won all his fights by the way of TKO. His only loss came against PFC LW champion Nosyaj Rram. Date is on a modest 2 fight winning streak since losing to former PFC LW champion Justin Midget. A victory can put him right into title contention.
Prediction: This fight will be a good test for both fighters. Since both have a granite chin and are primary strikers, its difficult to say who will connect first... Again, i can't predict who wins this one...

Diego Estrada vs Marlin "Powerhouse" Paschal/155lbs

In the 155lbs we have Diego Estrada engaging former PFC LW champion Marlin "Powerhouse" Paschal. Paschal needs to rebuild himself since he only won one fight on the last 5. A bjj purple belt, Paschal have won 6 of his 7 victories by the way of submission. Estrada, a talented boxer only lost once on his last 4 bouts.

Prediction: Again, its a classic striker vs grappler match. Paschal's chin is quite suspect so it's a matter of him taking the fight to the ground. Estrada only got taken down twice on his career... Expect it to change saturday and expect Paschal back at the winning side by the way of first round submission.

Pulse 55 - Mercer vs Palmares preview:

Live on Saturday 31th December 2016 from the 3,000 capacity Hard Knocks, comes Pulse fighting championship 55. This event will have a superfight between 2 fighters from the past in Clay Mercer vs Rodrigo Palmares so this way we can celebrate the coming of the New Year.

Clay Mercer vs Rodrigo Palmares/Openweight

In the main event we will have a fight between veterans Clay Mercer and Rodrigo Palmares. Both fighters are far away from their prime but still have found some kind of sucess in the QFC underground. Mercer is riding a 4 fight winning streak, the second best of his career. A knock out artist, 20 of his fights ended by the way of TKO. Palmares, a bjj black belt rides a 5 fight winning streak, the best run so far on his career. A finisher, Palmares only saw once a decision victory over 36 bouts, finishing 12 by sub and 10 by T(KO).

Prediction: This fight is hard to predict... Basically both fighters are far away from their prime. Mercer may be at 42 but he looks quite more in shape than Palmares at 39. Palmares still have power on his hands and Mercer's chin is quite suspect so expect Palmares surprising us by first round TKO.

"JayBird" Jeden Jedeb vs Kenato "Handsome" Ingles/205 lbs

In the co-main event we have Pulse newcomer "Jaybird" Jeden Jedeb trying to make his name against former title contender Kenato "Handsome" Ingles. Jaybird looks quite promising on his career by having lost only once on his 6 fight career. Handsome, a more experienced fighter, have lost only once on his career also and by no other than Pulse Reigning champion Du Yuesheng.

Prediction: By the looks of both fighters, i would normally favor Jaybird due to him being more younger and more explosive (all of his fights were first round finishes) but rumours are that Jaybird went to japan and got focused on sake, girls and some other stuff so basically he trained nothing for this bout. Expect a knock out and expect it at the second round by Kenato Ingles.

Pulse 56 - Rram vs Ja II preview:

Live on Saturday 7th January 2017, from the 3,000 capacity Hard Knocks, comes the first event of the year Pulse fighting championship 56. Pulse will start the year with 2 title fights and a co main event with serious title implications. Get ready to start the year!

Nosyaj "Punchline" Rram vs Hwai "Diesel" Ja for the PFC 155lbs Belt

In the main event we have a rematch between reigning defending champion Nosyaj "Punchline" Rram against pulse veteran Hwai "Diesel" Ja in a surely awaited rematch. Both fighters have already fought each other in one of the best 2016 fights Pulse presented. Both fighters rocked each other but in the end Nosyaj ended up taking the split decision victory. From there, Rram managed to snatch the belt from Von Magnaron and defended it once before losing it against Justin Midget. After Midget vacated the title, Rram again fought Magnaron earning the title with a KO against Magnaron in the rematch. Ja went to a different path. After losing to Rram, he lost again against Oregano Westjoin and went to a 3 fight losing streak. Recently, he changed this scenario by discovering power on his hands by winning both last fights by the way of K.O.

Prediction: This fight will be fireworks. Both fighters are primary strikers with Rram being primary a boxer while Ja being more versatile at the MT. Both fighters have exactly 17 fights at their cartel and the main difference between both guys are that Rram has never been knocked out on his career while Ja got 5 K.Os on his losses. Expect the sixth in a fun striking match where Rram defends again his belt.

Seun Adedji vs Doug Funnie/170 lbs

In the co main event we have a title eliminator between Seun Adedji and Pulse newcomer Doug Funnie at the 170 lbs. This is probably the most interesting match at the event since both fighters are primary strikers and both excells at the clinch position. Funnie has a lot of power on his hands since 5 of his 6 victories came by the way of knock out. Adedji may have the same number of (T)KO victories but he decisioned in the 4 victories of his cartel.

Prediction: This one is a hard match to predict. Adedji definitely has the edge on the clinch but probably nothing else. If Funnie plays smart, he will avoid the clinch and work his boxing. Expect Funnie winning by UD.

Jose "Ilustrado" Rizal vs Sol "Scrubber" Dier for the PFC 145lbs belt

Coming to the Fw division we have Goku's illegitimate Son Jose "Ilustrado" Rizal defending his belt against Sol "Scrubber" Dier. Rizal really looks unbeatable these days by staying 7-0 and sucessfully defending his belt against Baby Ama on his last fight. Sol Dier is already a veteran at pulse with 7 fights on the org. A knock out artist, all of his wins came by the way of Knock out.

Prediction: This will be an intriguing match. Rizal definitely has the edge at the ground but definitely no ways to get into it except by pulling guard. He will probably depends on his striking skills where Dier excells at it. Expect a Knock out and expect Sol Dier doing it at the first round.

Pulse 57 - Chonan vs Lee

Live on Saturday 14th January 2017, from the 2,000 capacity Hayashi's lounge, comes Pulse fighting championship 57. After the great event that was Pulse 56, we basically take a break from title fightings with an event focused on showing newcomers, prospects and good fights!

Piranha Chonan vs Bruce "The Hoodlum" Lee/185lbs

In the main event we have former Pulse MW champion Piranha Chonan taking Bruce "The Hoodlum" Lee. Chonan will look to rebound after his previous loss against reigning champion "Anderson Aldo". Chonan found much of his sucess in the clinch, where he tends to soft his opponents until they give up. Lee, otherwise is a good boxer, who tends to use more combinations then other things.

Prediction: Chonan will probably do what he does best: get in the clinch, use his striking and profit. Unless Lee find a way to avoid the clinch. Aldo by first round TKO.

"Smooth" Benson Henderson vs Bobby McBarz/170lbs

On the co-main event we have a battle of young promises when Benson Henderson takes journeyman Bobby McBarz at the 170 lbs. Henderson, a promising young prospect is only 3-0 on his career, but all of those came by the way of (T)KOs. Mcbarz will try to build his momentum after his short fight against Pedro Diaz. 5 of his 7 victories came by the way of (T)Ko.

Prediction: This is a good test for both fighters. Henderson is quite young but we never saw how he would fare against a boxer who likes to punch. McBarz shall take this one by the way of decision.
