Nikolai Nation

"Hey DeBramalo, just a word of advice... Don't underestimate me. I am undefeated for a reason. Good luck. You will need it."

Everyman's Hero QDB

Hey idiot. I am not underestimating you. I am simply looking past you. Underestimating you would mean that you were even remotely worthy of being in the cage with the Prodigy. I am looking past every loser in the LW division at NYFN. I am wondering when the corrupt and braindead management at this pathetic org will find someone who can remotely challenge the greatest fighter NY has ever seen.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

NYFN 24 : Smith vs Mihailovic preview

Bruce Lee (0-7) vs Darrin Dalton (0-4)
Someone has to win this fight. That could be what both fighters are being told from their teams, if they are still speaking to them. Both fighters have had at least four MMA fights and neither has come away with a win yet. Darrin Dalton is a decent fighter on his feet, but he has zero ground game. All four of his losses have come by way of submission. When you look at Bruce Lee, you see someone with a solid muay thai base, but not much else. Predicting the outcome of this fight is a very daunting task. There haven’t been many positives in either fighter’s games so far in their careers.

Dominic Tattum (1-2) vs Raistlin Lovelair (3-2)
In a battle of two fighters desperately trying to get a foothold in the 185 pound division, Raistlin Lovelair has shown some excellent ground and pound so far in his young career. With two of his three victories coming by knockout, Lovelair is a very dangerous fighter on the ground. In the other corner, Dominic Tattum is a nightmare to deal with. With his only win so far coming by way of head kick, opponents know they have to keep their head on a swivel with such a dangerous opponent. Tattum will want this fight to happen at a distance for sure.

Trippin Daisy (1-2) vs Tim Pierno (2-1)
In a fight filled with two clinch fighters, one has a chance to really get the ball moving in the 170 pound division. Tim Pierno had a little more luck in the 170 pound division tournament a few months back than Trippin Daisy did. Pierno picked up two impressive TKO wins after losing his opening round fight. Daisy also lost his first fight in the tournament and was also defeated at the buzzer by KO in his second round fight. Pierno seems to be the fighter with a little more momentum, but with both fighters being just 19 years of age, it’ll be interesting to see the improvements made in this fight by both fighters.

Distor Centura (8-2-1) vs Flash Gordon (4-0)
Young Flash Gordon has certainly been impressive early in his MMA career. With 4 wins in 4 fights, all coming by way of TKO, Gordon has displayed excellent striking. A devoted muay thai student, Gordon has tremendous flexibility in his kicks and also uses his knees and elbows well in the clinch. Gordon is as good all-around in muay thai as anyone currently fighting in NYFN. He’ll face veteran NYFN fighter Distor Centura in his fifth career fight. Centura is a wrestler, mostly known for his infamous wall and stall technique. Centura will certainly want no part of Gordon on the feet. It’ll be paramount for Gordon to avoid the takedown attempts that Centura will certainly attempt.

Daron Buxton (10-6) vs Daniel MetCalf (3-3)
After both fighters lost their NYFN debuts, they’ll be looking to get on the right track in this fight. Daron Buxton is a well-known fighter who dominated everywhere he went before jumping ship to NYFN. Coming in with a lot of hype, Buxton suffered a very disappointing first round TKO loss to Mike Monday. One has to wonder if competition in the 265+ pound division will be too much for Buxton, who fought in heavyweight his entire career. Daniel MetCalf doesn’t have the same pedigree, but is also very new to the 265+ pound division. He was finished in the opening seconds of round two by Isa Boletini in his last fight. Can these two fighters compete in the heavier weight class here in NYFN?

Sinan Yak (11-3) vs Rusty Driver (5-3)
In another battle of two undersized super heavyweights who would probably be better off at heavyweight, Sinan Yak will try to keep his momentum rolling. Yak has two first round finishes in three NYFN and super heavyweight fights. Yak is a very well rounded fighter who is a very good submission artist for someone in this division. Rusty Driver had quite the momentum train rolling before his last fight that ended in a first round loss by armbar. Both fighters have great knockout power, but Yak has a huge edge on Driver if this fight gets to the ground. Driver will be hard pressed to stave him off if he’s able to turn the fight into a BJJ contest.

Marcin Sokol (7-0) vs Mr Teeto (8-4)
Some questioned the legitimacy of Marcin Sokol when he came into NYFN. He arrived 5-0 with all of his wins by TKO. After two decisive wins in NYFN, that sentiment is starting to change. Eight years his elder, Mr Teeto has had a very up and down career. He possesses a little bit of everything, as far as skills go. In this fight, Teeto will have to somehow combat the vicious boxing of Sokol. No one has been able to crack the code of Sokol yet, but Teeto is a seasoned grinder who could cause him some problems if he’s able to keep the fight on the ground. If not, Sokol should be able to have his way and the real question would be when the finish will take place.

Isa Boletini (7-3) vs Aleksey Zulughanov (7-3)
In a matchup of two fighters with mirroring styles and results so far in MMA, fans should be in for a very exciting fight. Both fighters have all of their wins by way of TKO. Aleksey Zulughanov has yet to be finished by anyone in his ten fight career. Zulughanov showed a lot of promise in his NYFN debut, finishing Giovanni Bertuccio in the second round. His opponent, Isa Boletini has also shown a lot of potential in NYFN, going 3-1 in his four fights. With these two monsters, you have to expect a fireworks show on the feet. It’ll be interesting to see if either fighter wants to stray from their usual stand and trade philosophy.

Elias Al Haddad (12-9-1) vs Kolt Ganger (7-3)
This fight will certainly have a lot of implications in the 155 pound division. After failing to secure the title a few fights ago, Elias Al Haddad has shown why he received the title shot in the first place. With amazing striking for a 155 pounder, Haddad has only finished three of his 22 opponents. He’s been content to grind out fights with his point striking and wrestling. One has to think he’ll eventually start throwing with reckless abandon. This could be the fight to do so, as the chin of Kolt Ganger has been called into question. Haddad will not want any part of Ganger on the ground with his background in BJJ. To have a shot against Ganger, Haddad will have to let it fly and challenge Ganger with pressure.

Johnny Smith (10-2) vs Lubomir Mihailovic (10-5)
In our main event, we have two super heavyweights who have very contrasting styles. For such a big man, Johnny Smith does a fantastic job using his flexibility and wrestling to find ways to pick up submission wins. Lubomir Mihailovic isn’t a submission fighter to say the least. With nine of his ten wins by TKO and all five of his losses by TKO, Mihailovic is your classic heavyweight fighter. While not being helpless on the ground, Mihailovic doesn’t have quite the BJJ background as his opponent does. If he’s to win this fight, Smith has to force the fight to the ground. If he can’t get the job done, Mihailovic should have no trouble finishing Smith with his excellent standup.

"Greatest of All Time" Quentin DeBramalo

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/14173501292hia6a8.jpg

Joining us today is one of the most charismatic young top prospect in the MMA world; Quentin DeBramalo. At the age of 20, he became the first to defeat Nikolai Nation, the longtime champion at NYFN. Since 13 Dec 2014 however, the 155lbs division has a new King. We sat down with him for a short, but colorful, interview.

You are considered the biggest smack talker at NYFN by many people. Do you need to smack talk to get yourself motivated for a fight, or is there another reason why you love to smack talk?

You know Bjorn, thats a good question. Kind of surprising to hear that from a pencil necked geek like yourself. Here is the answer; I dont talk smack. You talk smack to people on your level. Because there is no fighter in NYFN even approaching the greatness that is QDB, I am merely stating the truth. When I tell you I am going to dominate you in every aspect of the fight, it's just a courtesy reminder of where you stand with me in the cage. Under QDB's foot with your eyes crossed and a skidmark in your filthy generic underpants.

So it's not smack talk but just a high level of confidence. I didn't expect that . I was thinking that you liked Chael Sonnen or Conor McGregor. Who is your favorite fighter of all time and why?

Other than the Greatest of all Time, which is myself, my favorite fighter is probably my uncle MMA and KT legend Garson DeBramalo. I became my own favorite fighter after I defeated him in a sparring match when I was 12.

It's good to see that the MMA blood runs in the family ! Your fights at NY Fight Nights have been nothing but spectacular. You have faced two great fighters before being granted the title shot against Nikolai Nation. Your performance in the title fight was very dominant and impressive. Did you expect it to go that well?

I pretty much did what I wanted in that fight, start to finish. I was looking to get a little more time in the cage for a little extra workout and to give my fans a show. I could have put Nikolai out at any time, but my fans always want a show.

What do you honestly think of the former champion Nikolai Nation?

He's an OK fighter. Maybe he can win a few fights in lesser shows, but he'll never be champ in any org QDB is associated with. I hope he can overcome my dominant performance over him and continue on with his mediocre career.

Those are some hard words about the former champ. What fighters do you see as the biggest challengers at 155lbs for your crown?

Hahahahaha. There are no challenges to me in NYFN right now, just potential victims. I am eyeing the LW top ten right now. I'll be smashing those fools soon.

What plans do you have for the future?

I'll be the best there is and the best there ever was before its all said and done. You better start hiring some better fighters for me to break if you want me to stick around son.

I'm already doing that. I'm in advanced talks with some guys to try and let them join our ranks and become challengers for you. I would love to have you around for as long as possible. I do believe you can actually become a legend of the sport. Do you have one last message to the fighters in your division?

Lose some weight or eat some tacos. You can't beat QDB! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

NY FIght Nights Big Apple Brawls tournament pre fight press conference

Live from the Big Apple, we have the first ever Kickboxing tournament in New York Fight Nights history at Paddy O’Malley’s bar this Wednesday on New Year’s Eve. We have eight very unique fighters here who take the sport very serious and aren’t big fans of MMA to say the least. They want a standup war and don’t care for groundfighting. We’ll bring the fighters out fight per fight to avoid any potential incidents.

Reporter Ben Fowlkes: Blasko, being such an evenly talented striker, what do you foresee using the most? Your boxing or your muay thai?

Blasko Grims: My plan is to kick his face into next month, so hope that answers your question.

Reporter Elias Cepeda: Bo, what are your thoughts on facing a fighter like Blasko Grims who’s so similar as far as abilities go?

Bo Guiscard: It's kind of a crap shoot. The guy who has the best chin, power, confidence and heart will be the guy who gets the wins early on. As the tourney progresses we'll see who has learned the most and progressed themselves and their tactics as a fighter.

Reporter Elias Cepeda : Blasko, fighting another great all around striker in Bo Guiscard, what have you been preparing for?

Blasko Grims: To kick him in the face before he can kick me in the face. Hopefully with have a barnstormer of a battle ending with his face been kicked into the back row of the crowd

Reporter Ariel Helwani : Lastly, Bo, in a kickboxing contest, how do you feel you match up with those that kick box full time?

Bo Guiscard: All of the participants are from a striking background so it will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

Both fighters engage in some banter in the face off, but a handshake ensures afterwards.

Bjorn O’Donnel : Ladies and gentlemen, Bo Guiscard and Blasko Grims will be the third fight on this card.

Bjorn O’Donnel: Now entering, August Belmont and Xerxes Do Prado

Reporter Ariel Helwani: Augustus, being such a great muay thai fighter, how different will it be utilizing those skills in a kickboxing contest as compared to a traditional MMA contest?

Augustus Belmont: There will be no difference. Prado's head will fall off the moment one of my high kicks connects to his head

Reporter Zach Arnold: Xerxes, how dangerous is Augustus Belmont with his feet and how do you plan on combatting that?

Xerxes Do Prado: He kicked some skinny teenager a few times and won a 2 minute fight on points. I'm gonna knock his head off and set him back weeks. No danger

Reporter Calin Bardsley: Augustus, How do you plan on fighting a guy like Xerxes Do Prado, who is such a talented boxer?

Augustus Belmont:
He is just a boxer while i am a goddamn kickboxer. There is no plan.I am just gonna hit the poor guy untill he is knocked out cold.

Reporter Eddie Goldman : Xerxes, with the threat gone of ground fighting, how much better suited are you in a kickboxing event?

Xerxes Do Prado: Hey man, this is a kickboxing tournament, this is what I'm trained for. Are you a trained dancer? No. So stick to what you know - asking questions. Damn fool questions.

At the faceoff, both fighters are chin to chin smack talking before they are broken up by the promoter.

Bjorn O’Donnel: Give it up for Augustus Belmont and Xerxes Do Prado, things have gotten personal between these two. They’ll be the last fight of the night!

Bjorn O’Donnel: Now coming across the stage, Dick Johnson and Kim Jong Un. This should be a very colorful press conference

Reporter Bas Rutten : Dick, after a tough debut loss in MMA, what made you decide to give kickboxing a try?

Dick Johnson: There ain't much to talk about, you know. Tough loss? Fuck that. I beat this motherfucker...I beat him badly! He hardly landed any punches...Ummhhh...Whatever...Did you watch the fuckin fight...? Get out of here, with your silly ass questions...What's up with those stupid judges anyway, stupid fuckin rules. Wrestlers holding you down, hugging you in the clinch? Fuck that, I’m here to fight! Yeah. That's why i left MMA. Because of all of that bullshit. I'm here to fight, you know what I mean? I'm here to put these ass whoopins down to their maximum effect. So better watch out motherfuckers

Reporter Ariel Helwani : Kim, facing such a dynamic fighter, how much of your strategy will be pressuring him and not letting him use his feet?

Kim Jong Un: Lil' Dicky Johnson is but another capitalist obstacle standing in the way of the socialist revolution I will bring to the world. In his cushy bourgeois surroundings he may kick the working man with no recourse but this time he will face a most courageous foe who will fight back. I will rain my glorious fists upon him until he forgets his feet exist.

Reporter Elias Cepeda : Dick, do you feel like your boxing is advanced enough to really compete?

Dick Johnson: I have a great boxing, man. You know? I'm trainin with the best guys in the world, great fuckin guys. My boy, Danny Brown, world class boxer, Azusa Moribe, trained fuckin assassin, and the others, list goes on and on. I'm training with the fuckin killers, yeah, that's what's up.

Reporter Elias Cepeda : Kim, what are your thoughts on facing a fighter who's completely different from yourself?

Kim Jong Un: When I was born the heavens opened up over the Pyongyang sky and as the oracle prophesized a new star, brighter than one thousand suns, burned in the night. I am peerless in this world so every low life scum I do battle with is completely inferior and different from me. I will do what I always do. Once I am done instructing Dicky on the scientific basis for the workers revolution I will shove my little red book in his rear and move on.

Both fighters seem tensed in the faceoff for a moment until Kim Jong Un begins laughing and exits the stage with Johnson still there

Bjorn O’Donnel: There goes Kim Jong Un folks, he’ll be making his debut live on New Years Eve!

Bjorn O’Donel: Now up, Angus McZongo and The Titan. These two will be our first kickboxing match in the history of New York Fight Nights!

Reporter Ben Fowlkes: Titan, fighting another very talented boxer, how much of a boxing match do you think this fight will resemble?

The Titan: I hope that we will slug it out like men and not hug it out like women. Either way I’m going to throw some heavy leather at him and try to punch his head off of his shoulders. That's the way I fight, every fight.

Reporter Eddie Goldman: Angus, what's the decision like deciding whether or not to enter this tournament or continue training MMA?

Angus McZongo: Was no decision, I just want to punch some blokes in the face. Simple as that.

Reporter Carlin Bardsley: Titan, how does this help your transition into MMA, or is kickboxing a legitimate alternative to MMA?

The Titan: What transition? I have zero interest in MMA. Kickboxing isn't a legitimate alternative to MMA because it's a whole different sport. I’m looking to be the best striker that has ever walked the face of the earth not some sweaty man humping... another man.

Reporter Eddie Goldman: Angus, what do you hope from gaining from a kickboxing tournament like this?

Angus McZongo: Fame, money, and girls. What else?

McZongo has a huge grin on his face during the staredown with Titan’s face almost touching his nose before security steps in

Bjorn O’Donnel : Alright folks, these two will face off in our event opener and very first kickboxing match in NYFN. This is going to be a historic event with 4 great fights. This tournament has been set up to let the best standup fighters in the world test themselves. A big cash prize, a trophy, a sponsorship, a lot of awards,….are al their for these 8 fighters to take. Who wil come out as the ultimate KO-master and go home with all of it? Tune in on New Year’s Eve and find out who makes the best debut. Prepare to see some great finishes as all of these guys are absolute killers!

Corey "Semtex" Davis

20 years old

155lbs

0-1

" Wasn't long after my first MMA fight that Bjorn contacted me with an interesting offer, he told me he was impressed with my performance in the fight and thinks I've got a lot of potential and offered me the chance to be a part of his organisations journey to the top, I couldn't say no. The guy's very ambitious and I like the way he goes about running this organisation.

Guess you'll be seeing more of me in 2015! Keep an eye out for me in NYFN's Lightweight division. We don't know when I'll be having my first fight so for the next couple of months I'll be in the gym every day and night trying to improve myself so I can make a big impression in my first fight at New York Fight Nights! Hey Corey! I'm very happy to have signed you before a top org's scout would have returned home to his employer and told him that you are the real deal. I was in London on a short holiday trip and visited the ITFL season 3 team finale. I was very impressed with your crisp boxing and superb chin. You lost in a closily contested fight that could have gone either way. Signing the fighter who lost the fight might seem like a strange thing to do for some org owners, but I saw in this fight that he had something special. Corey will continue to evolve as a martial artist and his future looks bright! I'm very happy that we have you under contract at NY Fight Nights and you are a great addition for the already tough 155lbs division . Good luck Corey!

NYFN 26 : Beast vs Bimba review

Tony Slevin vs Burak Mihalev
In the opening fight, Tony Slevin showed his class in a great three round fight. Burak Mihalev held his own in the first round, but Slevin began to slowly take over the fight after that. After Mihalev dumped Slevin on the ground mid-way through the third round, Slevin was able to steadily work his submissions. After a few failed efforts, Slevin locked in a triangle after some bad scrambling from Mihalev and the fight was over. Mihalev started the third round with a nice hook-uppercut combo that cut Slevin and followed it up with a clinch takedown slam that had him in full control. He wasn’t able to take advantage though and Tony Slevin made him pay with a very creative triangle lock.
SLEVIN BY SUBMISSION (TRIANGLE) 3:48 of Round 3

Arvad Gerber vs Pow Pow
In round one, Pow Pow used some very effective leg and body kicks to keep Arvad Gerber at a distance. It was still not enough as Gerber landed two takedowns in the round, but Pow was able to land at will with some shots to the head of Gerber, including a couple head kicks. In a very even first round, most would have gave the round to Pow. In round two, Gerber easily got Pow on the ground very early in the round and faked a triangle attempt that led to an arm bar attempt. Before Pow knew what hit him, his arm was locked up tight and he had no choice, but to tap out. It was a very impressive performance from Gerber, but Pow will certainly have to figure out a way to keep himself standing in future fights.
GERBER BY SUBMISSION (ARMBAR) 2:55 of Round 2

Michael D Amato vs Zorba The Dancing Buddha
In a fight that almost has to be the fight of the night, Michael D Amato and Zorba The Dancing Buddha pounded on each other for the entire 15 minutes of the fight. It was an amazing display of striking from both fighters. While the entire fight stayed on the feet, neither fighter seemed to be really rocked nor were neither cut. Coming in, we knew we had two great strikers with great chins, but I’m not sure we knew how great this fight would be. One judge scored the fight for Buddha at 29-28, while one scored the fight for Amato at 29-28. The final judge scored the fight 30-28 for Amato. After this very close fight, I would expect a rematch in the very near future.
AMATO BY SPLIT DECISION

Lil Jon vs Blind Shaman
In one of the more one sided fights of the night, Lil Jon dominated Blind Shaman in a three round unanimous decision win. Jon landed 5 of his 7 takedown attempts and was able to let his hands go with some very effective ground and pound as well. Shaman was barely able to even throw a punch because he was on the ground so early and often in all three rounds. Jon put on an absolute wrestling exhibition and also showcased his improving ground and pound. If Shaman wants to hang around in NYFN much longer, he’ll have to shore up his takedown defense. The fight was scored 30-25 by two judges and 30-26 by one judge.
JON BY UNANIMOUS DECISION

Buddie Rivera vs Sebasti Perreira De Souza
In another one sided decision fight, Buddie Rivera showcased his great ground game in route to a 30-27 unanimous decision win according to all three judges. After keeping the entire first round on the ground, Rivera ran into some resistance from Sebasti Perreira De Souza in round two. Early in the round, Souza bloodied the nose of Rivera and eventually landed a nice single leg takedown. Rivera found a way to sweep his way into his opponent’s guard and worked the majority of the ground in top position. The third round was a microcosm of the entire fight as Rivera was able to keep Souza on the mat and unable to land the knockout that he needed to win the fight.
RIVERA BY UNANIMOUS DECISION

Stewart Hunter vs Owen Orwell
After three straight fights that went to the scorecards, the fans were demanding a finish. Stewart Hunter wasted no time in delivering for the packed house. Own Orwell’s 8 first round takedown attempts resulted in an absolute goose egg and probably demoralized him. Hunter responded towards the end of round one with a huge shot the head of Orwell and a takedown. From side control against the cage, Hunter dropped some nasty elbows that left Orwell unable to defend himself. After a little more ground and pound, the official was forced to call the fight after an impressive showing from Stewart Hunter.
HUNTER BY TKO (STRIKES) 4:47 of Round 1

Will Tickel vs Coaker Kluge
After a little feeling each other out on the feet, Will Tickel dove in for a takedown and managed to land in side control. From there on out, it was Coaker Kluge trying to defend himself from the myriad of submissions that Tickel attempted for well over 4 minutes. Kluge was almost able to escape the round, but with five seconds left in the first round, Kluge was caught in a very tight triangle choke that left him no other choice but to tap out. After such an impressive display of wrestling and BJJ, Will Tickel has to be considered a real threat in the middleweight division.
TICKEL BY SUBMISSION (TRIANGLE) 4:55 of Round 1

Lucas Pierce vs Tumbu Bukasa
After a very ground oriented fight in our last fight, Lucas Pierce and Tumbu Bukasa must have agreed to do the exact opposite in their fight. The fight took place entirely on the fight with Pierce exploiting the clinch game of his opponent with some very good dirty boxing that led to the demise of Bukasa. After knowing an uppercut stunned Bukasa, Pierce broke the clinch and fired a right cross that left Bukasa reeling and followed it up with a left hook to the head that turned out the lights. After such subpar clinch fighting, one would expect Tumbu Bukasa to make that a real priority in his future training. On the other side, Lucas Pierce proved himself to be an excellent striker in all facets of MMA.
PIERCE BY KO (PUNCH) 3:43 of Round 1

Jonqw Fray vs Ben Henley
In the co-main event of the night, Jonqw Fray came in with a 10-2 record and a real target on his back. If Ben Henley could beat someone as hyped as Fray, he would be well on his way to a title shot at lightweight. After Fray landed a nice takedown very early in round one, Ben Henley went to work trying to finish him with every submission under the sun. After none seemed to work, Fray began to exploit Henley with some ground and pound. After some token submission attempts to keep Henley honest, Fray went back to pounding on Henley on the ground. After some hammer fists rained down on Henley, a huge elbow left Henley waving his arms around and obviously out of it, as he wasn’t able to defend himself. In a huge lightweight contest, Jonqw Fray proved he belongs at the very top of the division.
FRAY BY TKO (STRIKES) 4:39 of Round 1

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: © Billy Beast vs Mestre Bimba
Known as the best pound for pound fighter in NYFN, Billy Beast just hasn’t been challenged yet. Outside of his first pro MMA fight, Beast has finished all 11 of his opponents. The strategy from Mestre Bimba was obviously to get the fight to the ground, but Beast was able to stuff all six of the takedown attempts. Both fighters seemed to want the fight to take place in the clinch and that is where Billy Beast just dominated Bimba with some elite level dirty boxing. After a couple vicious uppercuts from the clinch late in round one, Beast sent Bimba to the mat. Beast immediately hopped on top of Bimba and rained down some vicious ground and pound that forced the official to call the fight with around 20 seconds left in the first round. Once again, Billy Beast was just never challenged and dominated the opposition.
BEAST BY TKO (PUNCHES) 4:37 of Round 1

NY Fight Nights 27 : Cide vs Sar preview

Leif Eirkson (0-1) vs Sidearm Bill (0-1)
In the opening fight, we have a huge difference in weight. Leif Eirkson is a massive man walking around at around 300 pounds normally. Eirkson usually cuts around 25 pounds by weigh-ins and comes in at around 275 pounds. He’s a very good boxer who has also developed his wrestling in the form of takedown defense and ground and pound. His opponent Sidearm Bill will more than likely wind up weighing in around 200 pounds. Bill would be much better suited at 205 more than likely, but he will take his shot yet again at super heavyweight after being knocked out early in his debut. Bill will need to utilize his speed and fight intelligence if he plans on surviving this one.

Purple Haze (8-9) vs Jordan James (5-1)
Wrestler Jordan James is in a tight spot in this fight. After starting out 5-1, he’ll be tested thoroughly by the terrific ground game of Purple Haze, as well as his very underrated boxing. James has looked very good in his short time at NYFN, going 3-1. The difference this time around is he probably doesn’t want to end up on the ground with Purple Haze for the majority of the fight. Often called a lay and pray wrestler, James will have to find a way to score some points in this fight. Maybe he can hold his own on the feet and land some timely takedowns, but if not he’ll be in for a long night against the very underrated Purple Haze.

Ikaika Nakane (4-1) vs Peter Gongor (11-15)
Veteran fighter Peter Gongor has displayed a lot of power and a solid chin in his MMA career. With a staggering 12 losses by submission, it should be obvious what kind of fighter Gongor is. At 4-1, Ikaika Nakane is another fighter who wants to stand and trade. If he decides to get into a firefight with Peter Gongor, his chin will certainly be tested like it’s never been before in his young career. With Nakane not being able to exploit the ground game of Gongor more than likely, a firefight is certainly would most expect to see in this fight.

Ben Jonathon (12-9) vs Avro Lancaster (5-4)
In a matchup of two very skilled fighters at 205 pounds, both fighters need a win after two straight losses. Ben Jonathon is a very gifted ground fighter who has the vast majority of his wins by submission. Also an excellent wrestler, Avro Lancaster will certainly be on watch to defend against the slick submissions that Jonathon possesses. On the other side of the coin, Lancaster has almost all of his wins by knockout and generally uses his remarkable takedown defense to keep the fight standing. That takedown defense will be put to the test in this fight.

Liam Kelley (5-0) vs Jon Snow (4-0)
After winning the NYFN 170 pound Tournament, Jon Snow is on to bigger and better things in this fight. Snow picked up four straight wins, two by submission, to win the tournament. He’ll have his hands full in this fight with upstart Liam Kelley, who has finished four of his fights by way of knockout and has looked unbeatable so far. Keep in mind though that Kelley hasn’t fought in an organization like NYFN before and Snow’s tournament wins were against very young fighters like himself who didn’t have quite the background that Kelley possesses. In a fight that could shoot either fighter right up the ladder at 170 pounds, a lot of questions will be answered about both fighters will be answered as well.

Jack Bruce (7-2) vs John Doe (7-2)
Before his first loss in NYFN in his last fight, Jack Bruce looked well on his way to a title shot at 185 pounds. A disappointing first round submission loss to the former champion certainly took the steam right out of that engine. He’ll have a chance to rebound in this fight as he faces a man with the same record and a very similar skill level as well. John Doe is 1-1 so far in NYFN, but also lost very early in the first round in his last fight like Bruce. At this point in time, Doe has demonstrated a better all-around game, largely due to his three submissions and developing BJJ.

Khaled Kalil (8-4) vs Spiral Stairs (9-5)
With both fighters in this fight having a .500 record in NYFN so far, both have shown great abilities and glaring weaknesses. Spiral Stairs has both of his wins by submission, but has also been knocked out twice and five times total in his 14 fight career. Khaled Kalil has both of his wins by knockout, but one of his losses was by way of submission. Where this fight takes place at will more than likely tell the story of who wins this one. Kalil has to be dreading getting on the ground with a talent ground fighter like Stairs, but Stairs has to be wary of taking on Kalil in the standup.

Brent Blackburn (8-2) vs Refugio Regalado (5-1)
With 4 of his 5 NYFN fights ending in the very first round after TKO, Refugio Regalado has proven himself to be an elite striker who has power for days. Regalado will certainly be north of 265 pounds when he weighs in in this super heavyweight fight. Brent Blackburn certainly won’t weight that much. Blackburn is probably another 10 pounds or so from cutting down to light heavyweight. Brent Blackburn is a former heavyweight champion though, who has always been fighting as the smaller man weight wise. Despite his weight, Blackburn has all 8 of his wins by way of knockout, including a dramatic superman punch ending in his NYFN debut.

Aleksey Zulughanov (8-3) vs Jack Hollow (8-4)
With two very dynamic super heavyweight strikers, the judges should be able to take a bathroom break for this one. Aleksey Zulughanov has seven of his eight wins by knockout, exactly like his opponent Jack Hollow. Zulughanov has fatigued late in fights, evidenced by all three of his losses by decision. Jack Hollow had never been outside the first round before his last fight in the Destiny promotion. In that fight, he was knocked out in the second round by champion Marcus Dantes. Hollow has a great chance to impress in his NYFN debut with such a talented and hot fighter. In a certain firefight, it’ll be interesting to see what happens if this fight makes it out of the first round.

SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: © Sewy Cide (9-1) vs Saloth Sar (16-5)
In our main event, champion Sewy Cide has a stiff test against veteran Saloth Sar. After his NYFN debut ended with a very impressive superman punch TKO, Cide shocked former champion Brent Blackburn with a knockout win in just over 90 seconds. At just 20 years old, Sewy Cide doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. Saloth Sar is a former NYFN Super Heavyweight champion in his own right. After three straight impressive first round knockout wins, Sar has proven his time isn’t over yet. If one of his patented head kicks land, he’ll more than likely become a two time champion. He’ll have to find a way to handle the elite boxing of Cide in the standup as well though.

NY Fight Nights 30 announcement

When this card takes place, NYFN will already have hosted 29 events . But let one thing be clear, none has ever been as big as NYFN 30 . I must first of all thank Scott Davies for his help to set up the main event. It's great to see how willing the owner of one of the best orgs in the game was to help a mid-tier org to have a great main event. I also want to thank the managers of the two fighters involved in the main event to get over to NY Fight Nights and accept the main event spot.

So far it has been a great experience I've had at NY Fight Nights and I was hoping to set up a card that was a bit more special than our averages events to celebrate the 30th event of the org. I won't lie, the card is even better than I could have hoped. Also look at the great poster created by Dee. Thank you very much for your piece of art! Before I go on to present you the main event , I want to thank also all managers who have a fighter here. This is a great adventure and I'm happy that all of you are a part of it.

It's hard to believe, but the title fight that is taking place isn't even the main - or co-main event. That shows how great the event will be .

The Netherland's Top Chef

As if it isn't bad enough that I have to take countless phonecalls from bjorn crying about how the 155 division is scared to fight me and I have to defend the illustrious and fabulous NYFN belt against some punk retread that I already dominated. Now I get an insult beyond reproach when my fight is moved to 3rd on the card. Obviously, Fray and Singh are both garbage that will never deserve to be allowed in the cage with me, but at least Fray has some wins in NYFN. The so called "Main Event" features scrubs who have been crushing cans in garbage orgs I have never heard of before. I hope those four mutants like fighting in front of empty arenas because we all know after QDB abuses some poor fool, the teamsters turn out the lights and the fans stream out into NY's filthy roads so they can watch QDB roll by in his limo and wish they were him.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

NY Fight Nights 28 : Mihailovic vs Brady preview

Max Cardamom (2-3) v Trippin Daisy (1-3)

In the 170 pound division in Troid, Max Cardamom is looking to get off to a good start. Cardamom is a solid wrestle boxer who also has demonstrated the ability to pull off some slick submissions. Trippin Daisy is only 1-3 in Troid, but at 19 years old is obviously still figuring himself out as an MMA fighter. He’ll need to figure it out quick in this fight, as 26 year old Max Cardamom may not have it all together yet, but has a big experience edge over the younger Daisy. Cardamom has been tagged with some devastating kicks so far in his career, so he will certainly have to be on the lookout for that against a solid all around striker in Daisy.

Ernesto Guevara (4-4) v Chuck Neptune (1-3)

With three straight losses in NYFN, Ernesto Guevara needs to pick it up if he wants to stay employed. Chuck Neptune won his opening fight by TKO in the first round, but has been outclassed in his last two fights, resulting in a couple lopsided losses. With both fighters having their own significant advnatages in the standup, it’ll be interesting who can shore up their weaknesses better. Chuck Neptune has the loud kicks and solid clinch game, but will have his struggles dealing with the boxing of Guevara. A fight on the ground could favor Neptune, but this one looks like a coin flip on paper.

Igor Alexis (2-0) v Tony Tibbs (3-1)

After quite the run of cans for both fighters, Igor Alexis and Tony Tibbs will get to showcase their skills in a real organization in NYFN against talented opponents. With both fighters destroying pretty bad competition in their own only pro MMA fights, it’s very difficult to predict what will happen when these two welterweights meet. At this point in his career, Tony Tibbs is a BJJ fighter will no standup skills to speak of. Igor Alexis is a brawler with great power in both hands and a developing wrestling game, but no real BJJ to speak of. With both fighters having such glaring weaknesses on paper, who will be able to come through where it counts, in the cage?

Jimmy Blanka (0-2) v Daniel MetCalf (4-3)

After a couple losses to begin his MMA career, Jimmy Blanka can’t afford to panic now. Hopefully NYFN and his third fight will be the charm after two short notice losses in other fight organizations. After a crowd pleasing TKO win by head kick in his last fight, Daniel MetCalf is a very popular super heavyweight fighter here in NYFN. MetCalf is the rare super heavyweight who has an elite muay thai game that includes devastating head kicks. While MetCalf’s boxing hasn’t developed to where most super heavyweights are, his clinch game and kicking have often rattled opponents who just aren’t used to fighting an opponent so unique.

Dont Know (3-3) v Luka Janko (5-0)

After an impressive unanimous decision win in his NYFN debut, Luka Janko is now 5-0 in his MMA career. When he looks across the ring at his opponent in his next fight, it’ll almost be like looking into a mirror. Don’t Know isn’t undefeated, he barely has a .500 record, but he’s also 23 years old and the owner of a terrific all around MMA game. Know hasn’t quite been able to put together all of his skills like Janko yet, but anything can happen between fights when you’re dealing with young fighters like these two. Know is more of a brawler right now in his career, so Janko’s undefeated streak is just one punch away from ending.

Tony Soprano (4-0) v Danny Ciprianni (1-1)

After four straight wins in Hostility, Tony Soprano is looking to take the 205 pound division by storm in NYFN. Soprano won all four fights by TKO and has displayed serious power in both his hands and his feet. With a 1-1 record, Danny Ciprianni is also making his debut in NYFN. Ciprianni is also a very good striker, but he’ll more than likely be at a disadvantage in this fight. The one edge he may have is on the ground if he can get by the great takedown defense of Soprano. With his wrestling background, Ciprianni could keep the fight grounded and make things tough on the undefeated Soprano.

Little Hardon (1-2) v Skreba Reijonen (5-3-1)

With a 2-2 record in NYFN, Skreba Reijonen is looking for a fourth TKO win against Young Hardon, who is making his NYFN debut and fighting in only his third official pro MMA fight. While Reijonen looks a little more skilled and experienced on paper, Hardon has a lot of untapped potential according to those in the know and has really developed his ground game. He’s only fought once in the past year, opting to spend his time training and strengthening his game. It paid off in his last fight when he won by TKO in the fourth round. With his skill level a relative unknown, it has to be a little scary for Reijonen to know what to prepare for.

Carlos Diaz (5-0) v The Sandman (2-0)

In a matchup of two young up and comers who are both undefeated at light heavyweight, The Sandman has easily finished his first two opponents in the first round by submission. Carlos Diaz has four first round finishes of his own, all by TKO. This fight will come down to one simple thing. Can The Sandman take Diaz to the mat and keep him there? Sandman can’t afford to engage in a striking contest with the very dangerous and versatile Diaz, just like Diaz can’t afford to be on the mat dealing with the excellent BJJ of Sandman. This could be one of the best fights of the night because of the clashing styles you’ll see.

Sinan Yak (12-3) v Zdravko Dren (8-7)

Super heavyweight Sinan Yak has been very impressive since arriving in NYFN. His 3-1 record includes 3 first round finishes. A very diverse fighter, there is seemingly nothing that Sinan Yak doesn’t excel at which is very impressive for a man his size. A winner of three straight NYFN fights, Zdravko Dren is starting to come into his own as a fighter at the ripe age of 27. Dren is a muay thai fighter who typically poses a lot of matchup problems for bigger fighters. Yak is no muay thai rookie though and will certainly not be intimidated. This co-main event is an absolute match made in heaven since both fighters are very hot right now and tend to provide quick, explosive matches.

Lubomir Mihailovic (11-5) v John Brady (5-0)

In our main event, dominant super heavyweight John Brady will make his heavily anticipated NYFN debut. Brady has won all 5 of his fights in the first round and hasn’t really been challenged yet against subpar competition. He’ll get his first challenge against terrific striker Lubomir Mihailovic. Mihailovic has competed for the Super Heavyweight title in NYFN in the past and will be a great measuring stick to where John Brady is at this point in his career. Mihailovic is only 23 years old, but is already considered a veteran in the sport with 16 pro fights under his belt. Can John Brady shine on the bright stage that is NYFN or will Lubomir Mihailovic pick up a much needed win?

The owner of this org has tried to steal (a) fighter(s) from my org by contacting them while they are under contract with me. These are very shady tactics. It is even more annoying considering I thought the owner was a nice guy and considered him a friend after all the contact we have had over the past month. If my org was dying, which it clearly is not, it would be a whole different story.

So other owners, be aware of this guy and his shady tactics. He's two faced and a backstabber in my eyes. You may not agree with my stance on this and that is your right. I just felt the need the post this here to make others aware of the dick move on his part.

you are indeed a good guy that I like and I feel sad that you believe this shit.

i didn't poach a fighter. I sent a contract offer to a fighter , and he apparently was signed to insanity. My internet connection sucks badly and some who were in chat lately might confirm that. Images didn't load and that is why i didn't see he was contracted.

If Mike can check my internet connection and see if it's true what i say, please do it.

i would never do such a thing intentionally.

I take NYFN very seriously and I'm an honest guy. Never ever would i do such a thing.

If a guy is under contract to an Org how did you then send a contract? It will how you an error message if you try. Or did you try sending an email with a verbal contract offer not knowing the fighter was under contract? I sure hope this is not true because that type of behaviour is the lowest of he low in the Org biz

Yeah. I sent a message, not an offer. I always send a message first because that way people can let me know if they want something specific in their contract.

I can understand Beck's reaction very well as I know that he is very dedicated to his org, just like me. I wouldn't have posted it on the forum , but would have talked to him first to see what was going on.

This happened to me once before that I had messaged a guy and he told me his fighter already was under contract. I pay extra attention to it as I would never want to do such a thing.

If you guys would know how much work I put into NYFN, you would know there is no way I would ever do anything that would give it a bad reputation. My org is far more important to me tha my fighters. I love being an org owner and this is extremely painful for me. My English isn't good enough to find the correct way to describe how I feel now. Not only will people associate me most likely in the future with something that isn't me at all, but also a guy that I liked seems to believe I would do such a thing . This is unbelievable.

If there is one thing I want to end with, it is that I hope somehow there can be found some sort of proof that I didn't do that on purpose at all.

it sickens me that certain people that I trust now question my honesty. That above all is what is so damn crazy about it.

NYFN means very much to me, but the fact that some of you might question my honesty, dedication and friendship is really shocking to me.

If a manager doesn't believe me and wants his fighter released, I'll do that, although I hope you guys know me better than that and know what really happened.
