New company slots are overpriced

This game has the most unique pricing strategy I have ever seen.

First make it easy to accumulate game money.

Then make those game dollars become increasingly less valuable by providing very few opportunities to use those game dollars in game.

Then when a player has accumulated a boat load of next to worthless game dollars offer him the opportunity to exchange them for real dollars (VIP days). Now your palyers can keep churning those cheap game dollars and play the game free forever.

Now the revenue that should be produced by selling VIP days isn't nearly what it should be. So what to do? It's obvious, charge VIP days for all the game extras. So of course players using their VIP days will force them to buy VIP days sooner and generate income sooner. right? Unfortunately, inflated game dollars can be obtained faster than game days are used. Just take them back to the "Exchange" for more free real money.

There seems to be a fatal flaw in the notion that you can generate income by giving the product away.

Were it my game the Exchange would be gone in an hour. Everyone who wants the perks of VIP pays for them. Then make game dollars the exchange for the game extras that affect the game economy, like owning companies and orgs. Add more cool and frivolous things to the game to use game dollars on. Charge VIP days for the vanity items like avatars, name changes, etc.

This game is inexpensive to play, it shouldn't be given away. Fix the pricing structure and generate some income to work on game development.

Mike is working on that as we speak :). ETA 2059.

So when you pay for another Managers VIP so he can hold a company for you, you also get his fighter slots? That must have been an improvement I missed out on? Or are u advocating for managers to create Multi accounts so they get both a company slot plus extra fighter slots?

You've already quoted me

"For those who keep saying it's cheaper than getting someone to hold a gym or run a multi you are failing to mention that you or someone also gets 10 fighter creation slots with those as basic"

With a VIP account you get a company slot and 10 fighter slots. To run a private gym and an org cost pretty much the same as 2 VIP accounts but 10 fighter slots less. That's all I'm saying for those that keep going on about how it's cheaper now. It's not.

Lol u mad

Off to Toronto for a weekend of fighting and man whoring

Just 4 more lbs to cut !

How did I guess that would be you’re response followed by incoherent babbling trying to make you feel better about your bum life.

Rich, successful, made people don’t have to brag, especially to random people on the internet about shit no one cares about. No one cares about the trip your mom paid for.

Good post Django. Too damn logical.

I guess it just depends on how you are looking at it, if it’s from the standpoint of paying for another’s VIP to use their company slot, it is cheaper as you don’t have access to their fighters.

Either way let’s agree to disagree

People paying more VIP right now: org owners, ??, probably more org owners.

Seeing as Org owners basically get a license to print money, and the exchange exists, this seems like a non problem.

Oh, and for the guy having a sook about the exchange; it saves Mike the (often futile) effort of trying to police off-site shit, people want to buy in game money and people want VIP, there's now a pretty good way of exchanging it.

I don't really see any of this stuff as bitching. It's called a forum for a reason. People can come and discuss and share their opinions. Complaining about bitching is exactly the same as bitching.

People are obviously quit split on this and on a lot of other issues in the game. We all want to see it improve and get better because we all enjoy playing. The day everyone stops giving a shit and saying anything is a day to worry.

Literally the only expensive thing is a private gym. Don't pretend you're offering anything to the game from having a private gym.... You're doing that for your own gain and nobody else's. Private gyms suck. They have very, very minimal benefit over training in gyms with other people and I want to discourage them, not encourage them.

I want to ENCOURAGE public gyms, which are a lot cheaper and actually do benefit other players.

I have one of every company type and that totals 8 days extra a week.

A clothing and a nutrition company is 2 days extra a week ($8.50 a year extra if you buy 1 year VIP at a time for $30).

If you have an org and a clothing / nutrition company that's 3 days a week aka $12.85.

If you have a public gym and an org, you can do that for about 3-4 days extra a week.

As someone who PM'd me already mentioned, I haven't raised the price of VIP since 2009. Just raising it at the price of inflation means VIP should be $40+ per year by now. As it is I prefer to keep VIP cheaper and let people buy extra stuff if they want to. If you don't want to, don't.

As for the 10% extra VIP time for not having a company. That's literally been there since the start of the game. More than 11 years. If you are just noticing it now and are somehow outraged and think that shows how the game has gone to shit, that kinda says it all... Get wound up, don't get wound up. Knock yourself out. FWIW, I'm gunna remove that extra 10% because it doesn't really matter and people obviously didn't even notice it was a thing anyway until they wanted to find something else to complain about.

If private gyms suck so much then why does practically every top manager in this game have one?

If you want to encourage public gyms then make them profitable.

They suck for the game not for the individual. Over the years I've made the gap between one on one training and 2/3 people in a session smaller and smaller to encourage people to run public gyms. It hasn't worked. However, I am not going to do anything to actually encourage people to have a private gym.

I will see what I can do to make public gyms more appealing, if we don't get enough people creating them because of this extra slot.

You should allow public gym owners to cap how many fighters can actually train a certain skill. Im not saying allow them to cap it at 1-1 training that would be silly but a lot of public gyms just have 4/5+ training and it does absolutely nobody any good. Cap at 4 because even then you get minimal training but still its something

If you train at public gyms maybe offer a weekly/monthly incentive? No idea what im just throwing it out there as most are newbies using these gyms

Yep, it's all worth thinking about... We'll see how this plays out for a couple of weeks first.

I personally like the system as it is Mike .Just add a cap of 3-4 fighters maximum per training session and public gyms will be less of pain in the ass to manage.Another idea would be to make coach wages for public gyms slightly cheaper ,compared to a private one . That would allow public gym owners to make some extra profit and need less members in their gyms. Good job on adding the extra company slots. We ve been waiting for it for a looong time !

I think I speak for the majority when I say thank you Mike.

Hiddens reveal, belt cabinet and 2nd company slot are ground breaking.

Enough changes for now and we can revisit come Christmas.

I speak for the majority when i say stop just talking shit & actually put forth some ideas or shut the fook up :)

Oh i get it "enough changes for now" tells me you need an extended period to actually figure out what the fook is going on with these changes. #numbnuts

Why do we have to pay for our first company slot while owning multiple companies?

Surely we should be only paying extra for the new companies

You're not paying anything for the first company slot. You are getting a "bonus" if you choose not to open one up. You still get the 365 VIP days for a years of purchase, you would just get a few bonus days without a company.
