We've been going a few months now and everything is fine. It just bothers me to have our +265 division empty. I was going to start something there, and I had some good ideas, but we just don't want the extra work to administer another whole division. So, I've come up with another idea.... Stable Sparring A FREE non-profit test fight service, open to all. Any manager, any fighter. Here's why you might want to use it... 1. You have made some new fighters and you want to check the hiddens to discover the ones with potential and the ones to cut. Don't go to QFC. Fight them here vs a friend or against each other (rules apply, see below). Reduce the risk of injuries and outrageous mis-matches. Even specify which side of TOTT you would like to see for each fighter. 2. You have made 2 fighters for a tourney.. Which one will you enter? 3. Grudge match with another manager? Fight here in a neutral environment to settle the matter. In exceptional cases, I may pay a fee (direct to managers) if the fighters have enough hype/pop. How? 1. Provide me with two fighters who want to fight. Use two of your own (rules apply, see below), or arrange a match with a friend, or post here in this thread to search for a fight partner. 2. PM me and explain what you want to do (I won't always be following this thread so please PM me). Tell me what the match you want is (remember, this is an openweight division so there's extra flexibility), and when you want it to happen. Tell me the fighters IDs and i'll sign them and arrange a fight. Everyone in this division will get 1/1/1 contracts regardless of hype, and the contracts will be only a few weeks long. As soon as your fight is over, I'll release you. 3. I will arrange the fight you request. Usually I will tag your fight onto the card of some smaller event and get the fight on ASAP. If you are battling fighters with hype for some reason, I may put the fight higher up the card if it helps the org. Limitations.. 1. "Reasonable use". I intend this to help people out who need a test fight (or a neutral place for a grudge match). It isn't for fighters to have a whole bunch of fights, or for systematic testing of the sliders and engine. 2. Abuse. I'm not going to allow dodgy fights designed to simply transfer hype from one fighter to another, or can fights just to improve your record, so don't ask. Shady? There are some issues with "fighting yourself" so these rules apply when doing that: 1. The same two fighters may fight no more than twice against each other, ever (if they are both yours). 2. Each manager is limited to two fights (vs himself) then a waiting time of 60 days applies before that manager is allowed to test-fight again in this scheme. Finally... This is at my discretion, and opportunities may be limited by the needs of the org. Perhaps you could open a page whereby people could advertise they're looking for a test fight opponent with a link to their fighter. So people can match up. Sort of like a QFC rival option, with some actual preknowledge of the opponent. Edit: fighting your own fighters...isn't that a good way of shifting hype from one fighter to another, before you sack the fighter you don't want..
