Sounds like said org first maybe over paid on contracts...secondly maybe went to high on the venue or if not didn’t have ticket prices to premium. Always set to premium no matter if it’s the first event or not. Typically don’t give out free tickets. This will give you a better idea what you can actually sell, in the event you sell out a stadium. If you give away tickets you won’t know if you could have sold out without doing so. The only time I’ve giving free tickets is when I was debating between 3k and 6500 size. I knew I could potentially sell out a 3k. So I gave away like 1k tickets and after even I sold a total of like 5k with the free tickets.

If your not going to sell every ticket then giving out freebies is better than empty seats, free ticket holders spend extra on food and merch so you are losing out on cash at every event.

 

Use the event helper to get a rough idea on predicted sales and see how many you can give out free, you should look to spend around 150% of the decreasing returns as that gives a slight ticket sale boost too.....if it suggests $10000 then spend $15000.

 

I would also suggest spending $3-4 per seat on production so if its a 1000 seat arena then you should set it at $3000-$4000.

You got to be smart with the free tickets though. For example. In an event I held on like 6/1 I gave away 2000 tickets for a 6000 arena and sold 4K tickets. I did that amount free based on tycoon tools numbers and a 1.5% increase in diminishing returns $$$. I sold just over $39k in merch/food. At 6k people that’s only an average of a little over $6. Now had I only giving away 1000 tickets and say I sold only 500 more having my arena filled to 5500 instead of 6k. 500x$150=$75,000. The 500 loss of $6 per seat of merch/food is $3k. So, free tickets is good IF you know you are wayyyyy off from being able to fill. But you should at least run your first event with no free tickets or very very very few. Cuz at the end of the day. Yeah if you don’t sell out you lose a little money but not nearly as much if you could have sold more tickets.

 

With that said. I hosted another event 6/15 in a 6k again I forgot to give away some tickets and sold 4485, which is about the scenario I gave above... my merch/food was a little over $33k which is about $7. So the above event I did possibly lose out on around $70k+ from ticket sale loss.

 

But this is me and my perspective based on my recent events. Tycoon tools gets you close, but it’s not exact

I think $3 is sufficient enough. Pretty sure it’s the same amount the biggest orgs use and is what I’ve used since day 1. Whatever your diminishing returns amount is in tycoon tools take that and multiply it by 1.5% and that number is what you could go with. It’s up to you if you want to decrease or increase that number at all.

I mean. It’s all trial and error. Each org is a little different and has different amounts of money. Some can over spend on contracts and stuff with the risk of losing some cash at the time. Others can’t afford to lose a dime or risk not lasting very long. I no hyped fighter isn’t worth a whole lot. I remember back in my first Stent of playing the game I was sending close ball contracts at 500/500/500 and if they wouldn’t sign that it was 1k across the board. Now I feel if you offer anything less than 3k across the board for no hype fighters, you might struggle to sign them. It’s all about what your comfortable with based on the hype of the fighter and the quality of the fighter....even the manager, I mean I’ve over paid on some fighters based on the experience and success of the manager.

i seen contract based pay 4k win pay 4k for a 3-1 25y fighter but manager is very inexperienced despite playing 2 years so i feel thats over priced i mean im funding the org but still you want to make a profit best as you can cutting costs down 1k across board seems ok.

From everything I have read full stadiums = a higher event rating which will affect your finances more going forward
