XxxtremeT13
So, I posted this in a off topic discussion and started to think...I like this idea, so here it is in the proper place. Fight bot option for gyms (similar to sauna use): The gym pays a 1x fee to provide fight bots to the members of their gym and each use of this cost a fight X amount of dollars Fight bots can be selected to represent the 4 different fight styles (select based on the type of poignant you will be facing) No money gained, no hype or pop gain/loss and no tott determined. Also would not count toward win/loss record This could be a fun feature for all levels of managers and make fight planning more interesting and it would also help newer managers learn how to set sliders. Could also allow for how difficult a fight bot you wish to face (total skill points maybe?)
Warwynd
I like the basic concept. I am thinking that it should be more like a sparring session but with greater gains then normal sparring sessions, (but also with greater energy loss perhaps). This would also remove money from the game by giving fighters something else to spend money on (an often discussed topic). It should be no injury also or maybe (for a bit of added realism) it could still be possible to get some injuries. Maybe half the normal chance of injuries? A quarter? How often do we see fighters coming to fights with injuries in real life? Pretty often. This could introduce that possibility into the game, but the risk of injury could be worth it if the added training was higher then a regular spar session. You could "purchase" up to four of these guys for your gym and they would have a cost dependent upon their "star" rating in the giving Primary. and be limited to 3 or 4 fighters in that time slot (other than themselves). Just throwing some ideas out there to add to what you did.
XxxtremeT13
Yeah it would certainly have to take up a training slot and yes I would say at least double if not triple the energy loss as a regular training session, since it is basically a fight...I would say no injuries only because of the fact if someone uses this feature and goes into a fight with even 1 day of injury due to that spar fight they would likely complain they lost because of that...However, I suppose if the max days of injury was set to say....3 or 6 you could essentially plan your spar fight session to align with the number of days before a fight to make sure you would be injury free...But, risk going into a fight if you take a chance of a spar fight a couple of days before a fight.

XxxtremeT13
its funny.. I mentioned this same similar thing a number of years ago and people said it wasn't a good idea or it wouldn't work or whatever.
GreekFighter
how about fully customise the bot? i mean even the hiddends and the sliders not a random opponent
SavageMMa
Awesome Idea! It would add another level of depth to the fight preparation! I vote yes!

Warwynd
how about fully customise the bot? i mean even the hiddends and the sliders not a random opponent I was more thinking of retired fighters from ones own stable or something like that. Either that or just a list of Sparring partners that are available for hire and just like other fighters/free agents you take your chances with their hiddens. Or even more like what I was thinking is to hire sparring partners like coaches in a gym. that way they would not decline and so on. Being able to fully customize right down to the hiddens is unimportant and needlessly complicated in my opinion.
XxxtremeT13
Well the way I was thinking was it being an option just like you can offer saunas...You click yes offer spar bots and then select the level (similar to coaches: Wonderful, Sensational, Elite) and you would pay a 1x fee of say $10K for elite and then if a fighter chooses to use the spar bot it would cost that fighter say $1k each session, so this way after 10 sessions of training from your gym members your upfront cost would be covered. It would also be up to the gym manager what style of fight bot it would be: So an elite ground specialist or Elite standup...If he chooses ground then he would essentially have 0 standup skills but all ground skills...or he could choose an all around guy so boxing and BJJ or MT and Wrestling. Basically combine the option of doing a sauna and the method of selecting training coaches, just in a manner of a fight bot not a training coach. The goal here is to offer another option of fighters using their bank and less being laundered and more going to gym managers, especially since gyms are a necessity and one of the easiest options for newer managers and it would help these newer managers have another source of income into their gym rather than just gym fee's. Have a cap on how many fight bots a gym could have (4 maybe) and this would increase the need across all the gyms so that 1 gym can't offer like 12 of them and have a monopoly going. Plus, it would also provide a learning tool for managers who struggle with sliders to learn how setting them a certain way works in a fight without the negative of losing a fight.
Warwynd
I'm going to write up something in more detail and then get with you to put a proposal together for Mike and maybe put a poll up. This idea has merit and I think that somewhere between your idea and mine we have gold. So, let's see if we can get this rolling.

Cobra7
Sounds good to me. I love the idea simply because it could/would also help lower class sizes for trainers which would greatly benefit new players/veterans alike.
Rambo
Creative but I would say no to fight bots, personally. Now if there were an uncomplicated way to code/record sparring sessions, or sparring results, that would be more realistic. But I really do not want to see anything that lets you practice sliders outside of actual fights, imo. unless it is specifically for day/month one managers set up in a form of a fight tutorial or amateur fight. Warwynd
My concept does not allow for practice fights. Just for training purposes. I think that the OP does want to see it for practice fights/ slider settings etc, and I don't think that aspect is a good idea either.

In principle I agree with you it should be that way, in reality it is just another advantage for people running multis. XxxtremeT13
well hopefully something comes out of this...it would be a great addition to the game and make gyms a better business to run. Not to mention another dynamic to the game.
Zello
Can we pick the skill level of the bot?
RegularJohn
I like this idea and have proposed something similar before. IMO at least noobs should have an option for "amateur fights"/"smokers" or whatever so they can learn sliders without getting KTFO by some QFC-exploiting-multi and never return to the game again. Ideally they could also "unlock" tips/tutorials by having x numbers of fights or pulling off certain milestones. if none of that gets implemented then at least the fight-bot option as a more advanced kind of sparring should be considered.
