The Main Event of the evening saw Bernd Obermueller become the first man to ever capture a Budokai belt as he won the inaugural Heavyweight Championship. It only took 45 seconds for him to slice up poor Mir's face until the ref had to step in and call it off. The canvas was dyed as red as the Champion's beard-hairs. The Co-Main Event was a wild back and forth between Sean Whelan and Kelvin Degree in a bout which saw both men fall to the canvas. Overall the event was the second most well-received in our short history, and was far more impressive than the event before it. Thank you to everyone involved.

To eligible for rankings, one must have made their Budokai debut. There are many highly hyped fighters joining our roster that have yet to debut, hence their absence in the rankings. We will expand upon this list as the coming events play out and our history grows but for now, I present the top 5 of each division. Please remember that these rankings are not the sole decider in matchmaking nor are they law, so do not take them it heart if you disagree with your placement.

It's currently deadline weeks for me (university) so my activity isn't as good as I'd like it to be. Still, feel free to mail me in-game if any issues arise or if you have any questions as I'll be checking them frequently.

Good luck with any upcoming fights!

On the 12th of may, Hayashi's lounge in downtown Tokyo will open its doors thousands of screaming fans as it plays host to the semi-final round of the Budokai Tenkaichi Tournament. With just four competitors remaining of the starting sixteen, we edge ever closer to the crowning of their first ever Welterweight Champion, a title which right now is open for the taking. This weekend, the finalists will be decided.
cyGfmik.png
James Cole vs. Lee Sin
Jackson Boone vs. Terrell Ward

l1D8cm1.png
Earlier this week, BFF held a so called 'Fite Fiesta' in which the company organised a number of festivities open to the public, one of which being meet and greets with the promotions stars - with Light-Heavyweight Champion Bernd Obermueller making an appearance. There were also more hands-on activities such as a boxing seminar hosted by Irish fighter Sean Whelan, and a amateur grappling tournament organised by Larry Wusky. The event attracted thousands of people through the three days it ran, and even made it on to Japanese television.
The closing ceremony saw the final four fighters brought into the ring, lasers and pyrotechnics lighting up the arena as each man made their way down the ramp. At this stage there were no fights and no scuffles as each man knew the stakes of the game. In just a matter of weeks one of these men will find themselves with a new throne and a target on their back.

nZ2t81V.png
We at MMAMemedia managed to catch up with Semi-Finalist Terrell Ward after the event for a brief interview.
Q: In the next round you face Jackson Boone, a scary young man with three wins under his belt, two finishes in this tournament so far. What are your opinions on him as a fighter and/or a person in general?
A: Fuck scary, Fuck him as a fighter, Fuck him as a person. I don't care about a win, loss, draw or goddamn murder. I'm here to get paid and get me some of that high gradeeeeeeeee
Q: If you win this weekend, you'll fight for the Welterweight Championship in the finals. How does it feel knowing you're this close to capturing gold?
A: I'll take it as I have each fight. Smoke, fuck and enjoy my time. I ain't no gym rat. Ima fighter. In life, the streets and cage. I ain't interested in training partners, coaches, sparring obsessively like my opponent. I'm here to put on a show, smoke my weed and get paid. That's it.
It was at this point that Ward lost interest in talking to me and set his sights on someone else in the distance.
RiPK8YB.png
We did however manage to catch a word with one of the big bosses himself, Rei amidst all the chaos.
Q: Hey Rei, the last time we spoke was just after Budokai 10 which was an event you felt personally let down by. How has things been since then?
A: It's been good, Budokai 11 was a hit and we crowned our first ever Champion in Obermueller. These upcoming events should be crackers too.
Q: Obviously, this week is the Semi-Finals of the Tenkaichi Welterweight Tournament, what are your thoughts going into it and do you have any favourites?
A: I think all four men have a great chance of getting the win this weekend. All of them are skilled and promising youngsters, and I can't wait to see them perform again.
Q: Final question, about the landscape of 330k. With two orgs already bowing out of the race, how does it feel knowing you're one of the leaders for the ID?
A: Feels right. I've said from day 1 that only us and Konflikt would last, and only they would give us competition, but I didn't expect the others to drop off so quickly. We'll stay at number 1 for as long as I can see though.
Match preview will be posted later on.

Budokai 14 & 15 event rundown
http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1525132144BFFXIV2.png http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1526421812BFF15.png
On 19th May, 2018, Budokai Fighting Federation held two events simultaneously due to the sheer volume of hungry individuals ready to put on a show and the numbers of those eager to watch. BFF 14 would see the crowning of two new Champions as Yeu Fei and Chad Dazzle battled for the Featherweight strap, and Satirinpong Thaichenpaew met Geno Chartier for the Bantamweight title. BFF 15 had no title fights scheduled but was headlined by two terrifying heavyweights as Mr Sandman and Alpha Bono collided.
The results for 14 were as follows:

XRBoJLc.png
and the results for 15 looked like this:

85eDRFe.png
Budokai 14 saw Yeu Fei capture the Featherweight belt in a mere 19 seconds as he decapitated the streaking Chad Dazzle with a headkick from hell, causing the arena to erupt into a euphoric chaos. The other title fight couldn't have been more different as after a grueling thirty minutes of Muay Thai splendor, Thaichenpaew took the decision, becoming the inaugural Bantamweight Champion. Budokai 15 was action packed from start to finish as eight of the nine scheduled bouts ended by way of Knockout - all within the first round. This included Tenkaichi veteran Langered Hatchet knocking out Che Anaya in just eight seconds, as well as Mr Sandman putting Alpha Bono to sleep in the Main Event.
Overall both events were highly well-received among critics and fans alike and are the 2nd and 3rd most rated in our short history. Thank you to all the fighters and managers that took part in making these events as wonderful as they were.
Finally, congratulations to the two new Champions as they have made the history books this evening:

If anyone has messaged me about something and I haven't responded, please remind me. I've had tons of mail daily and often lose them.

Cheers.

April O'Neil: I am here with Shang Chi who just had his second mma fight and his first win. What do you think the biggest difference for you was in this fight?

Shang Chi: First thanks for having me and second all members of The Hand that is out there listen to me you will not win and you shall fall. Lastly to answer your question April is the biggest difference was my readiness. I was ready to fight and am ready to fight now. Not where i want to be overall but i am fight ready while my first fight i was no where close to being ready to fight.

O'Neil: What do you think was the biggest key to victory for you in your last fight?

Chi: Hmm that is a tough one between my accuracy as nearly every punch and kick landed or my kicks. The first couple of head kicks i threw were missed so i took away his mobility and blasted his legs with kicks and that allowed for more punches and head kicks to land.

O'Neil: Who is your next opponent?

Chi: Well no-one has been offered to me yet but i would love to fight a guy like Castor. We fought on the same card and I think it would be a great striker battle between the two of us.

O'Neil: And if you don't get the fight with him?

Chi: Than anyone really. I'm not scared of fighting anyone. As long as the time between fights is right to prepare I'm good with anyone.

O'Neil: Thank you Shang Chi. This is April O'Neil with your Channel 6 news signing off.

Budokai 16 & 17 event rundown

http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1526744461budokai16.png http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1526684690bff17.png

As you may know, this past weekend saw two Budokai events play out as twenty of our brightest young stars battled it out in the heart of Tokyo. BFF 16 witnessed future Featherweight contenders AB Positive and David Anderson clash in a Fight of the Night worthy Main Event. BFF 17 was headlined by our p4p #2 and Heavyweight Champion Bernd Obermueller as he sliced through another top contender in Li Chong Po. It is also worth noting that BFF 17 broke our previous attendance records - almost selling out the 3000 seat arena. It was also our highest rated event outside of BFF 8 which featured two superstars.

The results for BFF 16 were as follows:

and the results for 17 looked like this:

Bernd Obermueller: Well, it feels good, still being the reigning BFF Heavyweight Champion, it was another great fight, with blood all over the place. My Elbows and Knees cut someone up again, keep em coming, I'm ready to defend my belt anytime.

Mr Sandman: I heard about you. One-dimensional fighter is what I heard. Coming to take your belt.

Shang Chi: My next opponent has been announced and it wasn't Castor. I will be facing Bo Nickal and there are few if anyone in the org who have his wrestling pedigree as well as his overall grappling game. Not only will it be an honor to share the ring with you Bo, but I've talked with my coaches at Mello MMA and we will be having me on a special regimen just for you. Good luck in our match.

BFF 20: TENKAICHI FINAL ROUND

Brief Event Preview

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1527108738budo20.png

On June 9th, Budokai Fighting Federation returns to the Hard Knocks arena in Shinjuku for another stacked event, as two titles hang in the balance and a long and gruelling tournament nears its conclusion. Future title challengers aim to build upon their legacy and bright prospects look to climb to contention. Among them, Japanese grappling sensation Lee Sin looks to earn the bronze medal as he meets the brash and violent Terell Ward in a heated battle for third place. Heavy-handed and recently redeemed Heavyweights Ross Kemp and Hayden Renee are also set to collide, as the pair edge ever closer to the top of the division.

Although all of this evening's bouts hold career-defining power, the statement rings truest in regards to the two star-studded Championship matches that headline the event. In one of them, the newly crowned Bantamweight king Satrinpong Thaichenpaew looks to defend his throne from the hungry and undefeated Challenger Mike Hunt. And finally, in the Main Event we will witness the end of the Budokai Tenkaichi Welterweight Tournament as the well-rounded Mohawk-adorning New Yorker James Cole faces off against the terrifying English powerhouse, Jackson Boone.

The tournament bracket:

Bernd Obermüller:

Hats off to Mr. Sandman, you sure gave me the biggest test of my career, and with nearly no blood in the ring, it felt akward.

But in the end, I took your body and smashed you down, so Budokai, be ready, serve me another 265, and I'll take him on.

Mr. Sandman, whenever you're ready, I'll be ready.

Mr. Sandman: You were a lot tougher than you look. Didn't expect such strength & clinch control from that lanky body. Guy has some legit technique. And I got some training to do now, belt is yours, but don't get too comfortable in it.

Shang Chi: Just got offered the fight i wanted with Castor. Everyone this is not a fight you want to miss and has all the making of fight of the year. The winner of this fight in my opinion will be for who has the best stand up in the division.

The only thing a fight between a 1-2 and a 2-2 will determine is who is best at getting Bukkake action lol.

Humors
