Renato Gracie

(KT Record 12-1)

- 149lbs

-Former 170lbs AKT Champion

-Reining Undisputed AKT Lightweight Champion

#2 P4P

- FROM: BRAZIL

The AKT Lightweight King is back for round Two after defeating the KT Legend and current AKT Welterweight Champion Fleece Johnson by Unanimous Decision in the first round. Gracie had a previous split decision win over Johnson, but left no doubt in the judges mind this time around. The first two rounds were competitive, but Gracie's speed and stamina were too much for his larger opponent in rounds 3,4 & 5. Gracie dominated the fight in the later rounds, often clowning Johnson with his hands down or behind his back, like he often does to his other victims. His style has a Floyd Maywhether feel to it, with opponents usually struggling to touch him, mixed in with an explosive, tactical & dynamic set of attacks, and he is one tough code to crack. His fight camp is one of the best, with manager Ryan Epicity being no stranger to big fights, but this may be his biggest KT fight to date.

Ruma Juttu

(KT Record 15-3)

- 200lbs

-Former 2X 205lbs AKT Champion

#14 P4P

- FROM: FINLAND

Juttu made it look easy in round One, taking out top ranked Asa Sharp by Unanimous decision. Ruma was just too much for Sharp, out-striking him in almost every exchange. All judges scored it 50-45. A master technician with a Granite chin and excellent power, he hasn't often faced defeat and is seemingly getting stronger as he ages. He holds wins over some of the biggest names in KT and has fought every top dog at his weight class in a division full of killers. His manager Lance Templeton is well known for his stable of excellent KT fighters, it is widely regarded as one of the best KT camps in the Tycoon world, so we know he will show up well prepared and ready to move onto round 3!

Both amazing fighters, Two of the very best in KT, and its too close to call. Will Gracie's speed and stamina prevail, or will the Goliath Juttu's size and power be too much? I don't see either man getting knocked out or even knocked down in this one. It's gonna come down to a close decision I believe. Probably a split decision.

Dwan Diego

(KT Record 35-13-1)

- 190lbs

- Held numerous KT Titles in many different orgs, and weight classes.

Former 2x 205lbs AKT Champion and #1 P4P.

- #4 P4P

- FROM - NEW ZEALAND

This 38 year old KT legend is still cruising through his historic career, showing no signs of slowing down as he took out reigning AKT Champion Harry Entei in the first round of this tournament. Diego stalked and picked off his opponent with crisp striking and vicious inside elbows to earn himself a hard fought UD win, with the judges all scoring it 49-46 in favor of Diego. Known for having an outstanding chin and exciting explosiveness to finish fights when needed, he is a true KT veteran and will be hard to stop. This Maori warrior promises to finish his 2nd round opponent Nik Snow in dominating fashion. His manager Bradley Burns has a wide variety of KT, grappling and MMA fighters and looks to show his experience.

Nik Snow

(KT Record 3-2)

- 156lbs

- Syn, PFC veteran

- #18 P4P

- FROM - USA

The Miracle story of the first round, as Nik Snow shocked the KT world by defeating long time former #1 P4P King and former long time AKT HW Champion Puck Heidegger by UD after 5 hard rounds. Snow came into the bout being a +1300 underdog, and gave up the first two rounds as Puck was the aggressor, but as rounds 3, 4 and 5 hit, the smaller man was able to use his speed, stamina and agility to stay away from the power of the big man, and duck and dodge to outpoint his much larger opponent. Both men raised their arms in victory but in the end..

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision.
Judge Robert Douchet scores the fight 47:48
Judge Yves DeLean scores the fight 47:49
Judge Steve Smith scores the fight 47:48

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Nik Snow!

Snow came into this bout after a failed grappling career, going 0-2, and having a sub par MMA career, gathering a 11-7-2 record. With another management switch to veteran Tev Clark, he embarked on a KT career and was 2-2 in KT coming into this fight. He has proven that KT is where he finally belongs, as his chin is seemingly impenetrable, having never been knocked out or TKO'd ever.

This one should be fireworks, with Snow being able to show some power not having to face a man twice as large this time, and Diego promised an exciting finish. How can you count Snow out after taking out the former HW King? Can he shock the world again against another legend, or will Diego over match the new KT star? Lets hope all the new media attention Snow is getting now isn't distracting him.

Finally some exposure for the KT word. I have been meaning to do a write up for Renato Gracie for a long time now. Reigning LW champ and former WW champ... Holds 2 wins over the current WW champ and knocked out the current MW champ. Gracie is the definition of P4P but Templeton is probably the GOAT when it comes to managers gonna be a close one.

I will try and do some write ups for this grand prix and design a belt for AKT. I'm glad you are now helping them out Burns. KT is largely forgotten in this game.

Im gonna get all second round fights done here soon.

And Gracie is a beast, I tried to give him as much credit as he deserves.

  • 1 month later...

Well so much for getting some hype behind this.

Gracie is now GP openweight champ, wins over former champions in every division 155 and up, former welterweight champion, current lightweight champion and is now challenging for the featherweight championship in his run to become the undisputed GOAT of kickboxing.

I tried, I ran out of time.

Great job.
