I'd like to thank YOU everything you've done. These round robin tournaments have added so much fun to the game for me.

Sucks that there are just builds to take down people and submit you, without striking.

Bah....that's Royce Gracie's fault...and then MMA (and fighting in general) became REAL :)

No problem here. Let's keep this MONSTER league stomping along.

And yes, I agree...sacking a fighter that you agreed would fight right through is a punk move....

Don't take it too hard, this would've happened no matter your sliders ;)

Yes...this kind of stuff really shows how much fun this kind of round-robin system is.

Gargan keeps on surprising ME, and I'm the one who's in the gym with him everyday :)

#832125 Different tactics per round

Posted by Shako on 21 September 2017 - 06:08 AM

Judging by the thread about Predict Sliders, a lot of people either don't use them at all or only in a very limited way.

Get rid of Predict Sliders and have fighters do that prediction based on intelligence (never bad to boost a hidden that isn't 'chin', 'heart' or 'K.O.') AND only the fighter's actual fighting experience. The more gights ge's had, the less he is surprised during a fight and the better he adapts.

Again I think anything that would encourage managers to develop their fighters a 'real-life realistic' way should be welcome.

You have to fight to give your fighter the skills he needs to be a good fighter!? No longer SUCH a good idea to hide away a young fighter until he's all trained up because FIGHTING is needed to get him ready? I think this idea is sadly missing from the game

#831518 Ideas to get more players

Posted by Shako on 15 September 2017 - 12:21 PM

Unfortunately a LOT of new fighters need to be tucked away in a gym for months (real time!) before they are really ready to fight.

As mentioned in another thread, there's absolutely no real reason for a young fighter to fight except to test hiddens...other fights just lise time when moral/energy drops.

Joining an org with a completely lopsided fighter (ie 110 conditioning and 20 strength/agility/speed) will just get you losses on your record.

Want a real way to get all young fighters fighting on orgs even if they aren't really ready...? Make FIGHTING an essential component of fighter development. After 3 weeks without a fight all fighters starting gaining less from training....THAT would massively increase the number of fights taking place in this game.

#830770 Ideas to get more players

Think of how many games there are on the internet where you arrive as a new player and SOME TYPE of organisation is there to welcome you. Could be a guild, a team, a kingdom...SOMETHING.

In many games new players are kind of revered because they add to the game and often THEY are a resource that teams/guilds fight over.

Here they kind of drop into nothingness in a game where every fighter they build using their real-world intuition is a horrible fuck-up and if ever by some miracle they build a fighter 'right' (frankly who would ever know to put 110 points in Conditioning / Strike def / Clinch and leave most others at 1 point!?), they can't afford to train him up to usable because QF literally gives them nothing. QF only pays 100 $ to stop some kind of manipulation? Let it pay 2000! enough for two weeks in an elite gym and let them fight every two weeks...it's not going to spoil the game for the rest of us...

NOW...If the underlying idea in this game is to let people scrimp and save and waste the talent of their first generation fighters to pay for the second and an elite gym...then fine. But non-VIP players only have four fighters to generate money with...let's face it, it's pretty much impossible to produce a really good fighter that way.

New players NEED the help of Noob Fund or an Alliance if they want ot produce good fighters. We need some incentive for some type of organisation to WANT new players....idk!?

Also how about an option "Retire from fighting and become a coach" (perhaps less expensive that a normal coach)....idk!?

I see a lot of people unhappy about the way Gyms work.

For a simple overhaul of the whole system, let fighters gain skill from fighting (or get a training bonus in training skills used in their last fight AND let fighters be coaches too!

Older fighters who only train to avoid depopping could coach other lower fighters. The 'coach fighter' doesn't gain skill points, but time spent coaching helps avoid depop in that skill.

That way gyms become viable/profitable and older fighters are useful. I like the idea of a close-knit team in a gym...

#829545 Learning from fights!

Posted by Shako on 29 August 2017 - 03:05 PM

Well...I'm not sure how it works right now....so I have no idea about that.

I just reread my post from yesterday and it isn't as clear as I would have liked.... I'll paraphrase here.

-Let fighters gain skill from fighting.

-Let the skill that is gained correspond to what actually happens in the fight.

(Maybe) - Let fighters learn certain skills from fights better than they learn other skills...pointing the manager towards their 'natural' tendency as a fighter.
