Balder Bull: The bull is back! I know what you all think. I couldn't handle a loss and crashed my whole career once it happened. And you are right, the success went to my head and I couldn't handle losing that belt. And not only my career, my private life as well. I started drinking, drugs, broke with my manager. Dragged my name in the dirt by doing fixed fights and.. even show wrestling for a while, silly costumes and all. I needed the money, simple as that.

But my old manager Mac came to me a while ago. Asked me "you done yet?". Said if I quit all the shit I been doing right there on the spot and get back to proper training he'd take me back again*. He already had a fight booked for me, just two days away so I had no choice but getting my shit together. A minor promotion, but nothing minor about the opponent. Alvarez had over 50 fights and still going strong. I barely had time to sober up. I lost of course, on points as he was taking me to the mat. But that fight woke something inside of me. Third round I was taking over and won that one. Afterwards he was the one looking beat up no matter the scores, I know I would have won had it been five rounds. That's what Mac wanted to see.. or wanted me to see.

The next two guys he lined up I went straight through and won in the first round, just like the good old days. I believe in myself again now. I know I still got it. So Mr. Rei, I want back in. I know I still got fans in Tokyo. Those guys are fantastic, they never gave up on me. They deserve to see the real Bull in the ring again.

BUDOKAI 74 Preview by Gut Punch

Edited by Rei

Budokai once again brings a stacked card to the Saku Dome in Tokyo on June 8th, with both the welterweight and heavyweight belts on the line. This card brings a wide mix of fighters, from contenders who are trying to earn a shot at a title, to men who are just trying to stay in the organization. Lets break it down, starting with the Prelims:

Prelim Bout 1

Featherweight Division

JoJo Big Party Diaz (5-4-1) vs Henry The Taco Bell Strangler Wallace (9-9)

Both fighters have been in Budokai their whole careers, with Diaz having one fight in the QFC and Wallace having six. Diaz won his Budokai debut back in July of last year. Diaz then went on to win four of his next five, with one draw. However, Diaz his lost his last three fights, by Submission, Decision, and TKO. While Diaz attempts to break this streak, Henry Wallace is attempting to start one, as Wallace is 9-9 in his career, and is 4-8 in Budokai. Initially looked at by managers as a prospect with a granite chin, 6 of Wallaces losses have been by (T)KO, leaving many to question his heart. Regardless, Wallace is a threat standing up, ith 8 of his wins coming by (T)KO. However, Given JoJo Diazs KO power and Wallaces questionable chin history, I give the bout to Diaz.

Prediction: Diaz, R1 KO

Prelim Bout 2

Welterweight Division

The Mad Monk Frank Martin (8-13) vs Austin Smith (5-1-1)

The Mad Monk is a three fight Budokai veteran, and long time veteran of LoL and FARTMMA. Martin is known for taking almost any challenge thrown at him- nearly all of his fights outside of Budokai have been openweight, facing opponents up to 70 lbs, outweighing him by 90 pounds. All of his victories in MMA have come via submission, and all but two of his losses have come by (T)KO. His opponent, Austin Smith, is making his promotional debut, after having served in PhoQus previously, and served as their Welterweight champion at one point. Hes looking to bounce back from his previous match, where he suffered his first loss in a title defense. While Martin is older, Smith has that chip on his shoulder to bounce back in a new organization.

Prediction: Smith, R2 Sub

Prelim Bout 3

Bantamweight Division

The Boss Motoso Angostura (7-3-1) vs La Unicorn Santiago Junior (5-3-1)

Both of these fighters are known for keeping fights standing and throwing down. Motoso is a former Bantamweight champion for Budokai, and has only had losses in Budokai to the current champion, Seamus MacNamara. His last fight ended in a draw, and won fight of the night. His opponent La Unicorn suffered three straight losses in Budokai, but has revitalized his career with two wins and a draw. This may be the most exciting fight of the Prelims. Dont expect this one to go to decision.

Prediction: Angostura, R1 (T)KO

Prelim Bout 4

Heavyweight Division

Ross Kemp (10-5) vs The Surgeon Leonid Martinyuk (5-2)

Kemp is another former Budokai champion attempting to work his way back to a title shot. He is 9-5 in the org, and he has never been in a fight that wasnt stopped via KO. This is also true for his opponent, who has never seen a fight outside of the first round. This promises to be another action packed, KO stoppage.

Prediction: Martinyuk, R1 (T)KO

Prelim Bout 5

Featherweight Division

Dvornoy Alkash (3-2) vs Hitoshi Yoshida (7-1)

One of the younger match ups on the card, both men are 23 and looking to establish themselves in the organization. This one is a classic Stand Up vs Ground Game match up. Yoshida has 6 organizational wins, with 4 of them coming by submission, while Alkash has won 1 fight via KO, and 2 fights by decision. Alkash will look to use his superior Muay Thai and try to keep the fight standing, as Alkashs weakness comes on the ground, with both of his losses being via Sub. Alkash will have the crowd behind him as he fights in his hometown, and looks to use the Fanatical fans at the Tokyo Dome to his advantage.

Prediction: Yoshida, R2 Sub

Main Card Bout 1

Lightweight Division

Lightning Lamont Banner (9-4) vs Ryan Rodriguez (7-3)

Rodriguez is another fighter who rarely lets the fight get to the ground, with a KO being the result of every bout hes been in. The Southampton native and former DropKick Cage Warriors champion looks to extend his winning streak after winning his last fight against Gustav Gustavsson. Banner on the other hand, is looking for another chance at the Budokai Lightweight belt, after losing a decision in a title shot 4 fights ago. Lamont is known for standing as well but is more of a risk taker when it comes to taking the fight to the ground, and has both a submission win and loss. He will likely look to use his Brown Belt in BJJ to take down Rodriguez, however, hell have to watch out for Ryans KO Power.

Prediction: Rodriguez, R2 KO

Main Card Bout 2

Super Heavyweight Division

Kaito Mad Dog Inuzuka (18-5) vs Mark Lesnar (17-6)

Lesnar is a former island org champion, as well as an Ultimate Combat Federation champion. Inuzuka, on the other hand, is a former Budokai champion. Incredibly, Inuzuka is outweighed by Lesnar by nearly 100 pounds. However Mad Dog is no stranger to larger opponents, and in his last match submitted a 319 pound opponent. In fact, Mad Dog won the Budokai Title against a 260 pound opponent. Lesnar has the size and power advantage, but he will have to look out for Inuzukas submission skills.

Prediction: Inuzuka, R1 Sub

Main Card Bout 3

Championship Bout

Heavyweight Division

Kento Kawamata (7-1) vs Kay Horizontal Kiss Bone (14-2)

Kawamata is defending his title for the first time, after beating Felix Inarritu. Inarritu had previously beat Kay Bone to win the title. MMA math doesnt always tell the story, and this is a grudge match of sorts to determine who is the most worthy of the Championship. Bone is the more experienced fighter, with 16 fights under his belt. Kawamata is in his home country, and has exception Muay Thai. Both fighters are generally stand up fighters, with Bone having the reach advantage.

Prediction: Kawamata, R2 KO

Co-Main Event

Championship Bout

Welterweight Division

Stanley The Knife Steele (12-3) vs Dylan Peterson (9-0)

Stanley Steele has defended his title twice, and is facing perhaps his toughest competitor thus far. Peterson is undefeated, and has excellent boxing. He has finished every fight via TKO. Stanley Steele has the experience advantage, as well as a granite chin. Petersons perfect record may come at a disadvantage. Peterson hasnt even been rocked in a fight. How will he handle a good boxer with better Muay Thai? How will he handle adversity? This has the potential to be the best fight on the card, and an instant classic.

Prediction: Steele, R2 KO

Main Event

Championship Bout

Super Heavyweight Division

Samuel "Bodo" Nti (19-3) vs. Phil "Testosterone" Coleman (16-2)

One of the most popular fighters in the world returns as Samuel Nti looks to defend his belt for a second time as he meets The Island standout Phil Coleman. The Champion comes into this with a striking a significant striking advantage despite being primarily a wrestler, as Coleman is a grappler through and through with respectable boxing skills. Both men boast incredible records with many more wins to their names than losses, but both have been finished before - meaning the man that imposes his will upon the other may just claim the belt before the final bell.

Prediction: Nti, R1 KO

and Santiago was written off :(

Prediction: Angostura, R1 (T)KO

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/rocked2.gif

Angostura is rocked!

Junior lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Angostura head around and knocks him out cold! Junior hops onto the ropes and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Santiago Junior!

After the fight, Santiago Junior was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Welcome back everyone to the sicth edition of Budokai: Fighters in Focus, a show where we get a deeper look into the minds of the brightest young fighters in the world today.

Joining me this evening in Tokyo is none other than dual-divisional king, the Budokai Featherweight AND Lightweight Champion - Vadim Golovkin.

PsuEODM.png

Q: Vadim. You are currently the BFF Lightweight Champion, BFF Featherweight Champion and the #1 ranked in the entire promotion. Incredible stuff. But where did it all begin? What was "Future #1 P4P" Golovkin before he began his journey into the world of Mixed Martial Arts?

A: My father is one of the greatest boxers of all time. You may know him as GGG. I grew up learning boxing from him and his trainers. I was a quick learner and wanted more, so I headed to Las Vegas to learn MMA at Blake Phoenix’s Champion Factory.

Q: You recently made some comments regarding the lack of attention you were getting from the promoters in relation to the other more talkative stars. Do you feel that your treatment thus far has been unfair, and could you see yourself possibly becoming the face of the organisation?

A; My treatment in BFF has always been fair other than the lack of recognition. Rei was recently on a podcast where the host asked him who the stars and future stars of the organization are. Rei mentioned 2 fighters in response: an anorexic midget who somehow was praised for running circles around an obese man and some other 1 division champion whose mouth is looser than his mom’s vagina . . . I forget his name. I was hurt and disappointed that these fools got more recognition than the double champion. If the face of the organization was the best fighter, of course it would be me, but we live in the age of Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor, where running your mouth is more important than skill. Now that I have been disrespected, if I have to run my mouth to get the recognition I deserve, then I will do it. Fuck the haters. They are just jealous.

Q: As we mentioned earlier, you are the current king of two divisions - racking up a total of 5 title defences. You are also the only current two weight champion after El Toro's last outing. How does it feel holding such a special position, and do you feel any pressure knowing that there are not one but two targets on your back?

A: It’s no pressure at all. The only pressure I feel is the pressure I put on myself to win every fight on my way to becoming the #1 P4P fighter in the world.

Q: You mentioned wanting to fight Seamus MacNamara (Bantamweight Champion) or Stanley Steele (Welterweight Champion) in an attempt to become a three-weight Champion. Which of these two men would you rather fight, and why?

A: Considering the fact that Stanley Steele is about to lose his title to my teammate Roli Poli, I’ll take MacNamara.

Q: As of today, you have had eleven fights in the Budokai ring and haven't lost a single one. Who has been your toughest test yet, and which win has meant the most to you?

A: My toughest fight was actually the most recent one vs Conor Larkin. He put up a hell of a fight and one of the 3 judges even called it a draw. That judge was wrong. . . but still Larkin was my toughest fight. My fight that meant the most to me was when I first became a 2 division champion by defeating Hitoshi Yoshida. This fight was important to me for many reasons. Going into that fight, Yoshida was undefeated, and the only loss of my career was an early QFC fight versus a submission specialist like Yoshida. Yoshida was the ultimate test for me to determine whether my BJJ had progressed enough for me to beat an undefeated BJJ champion and pick up up a 2nd belt in the process. Obviously I passed the test with flying colors as they say.

Q: Finally, what's next for Vadim the "Future #1 P4P"?

A: What’s next is a second beatdown of Yoshida. After that I’ll decide whether I want to cut to 135 or invite MacNamara up to fight me at 145. I’m sure I could get down to 135 and defeat him there, but defending titles in 3 weight classes might be more trouble than it would be worth – too many back and forth weight gain/weight loss cycles. After that, I’ll just keep on winning fights versus the best opponents available until I reach #1 P4P.

A big thank you to Blake for providing the answers for Champ Champ Golovkin!

"Seeing how I called out your 135 lb teammate, Sergei Petrov (327613), & heard nuttin' but crickets on two different occasions, come down to 135 lbs Vadim Golovkin (330265) & I'll show you what this "midget" can do! Unlike you, I'm undefeated! I got crisp, blinding fast technique, you can't keep up boy-o! This is for Ireland!"

winner gets 135 lbs king Sergio Petrov Rise org.

I can state unequivocally that Golovkin will not fight Petrov since I manage them both. If Mac can pull off a win vs Golovkin, I'm 99.9% sure he would beat Petrov too, so Mac vs Petrov is also unlikely to happen.

So you'll fight an obese scrub at 265, but you wont fight Golovkin at 145 or 155? Pussy. When and where did you call out Petrov? I don't remember that.

Budokai kicks off the second round of their historic Twin Crown tournament on the 27th of July. This is the first ever Budokai event outside of Japan, taking place in the Camden Conference Centre in London, England. There are two Bantamweight fights and two Middleweight fights in this round, to determine who the finalists are. Let's take a look at the Bantamweight match ups:

#1- Disco Kid (12-5) vs “The Prospector” My Time (7-0)

The breakdown-

Hometown: New York, NY, US ------ Atlin, BC, Canada

Fighting out of: London ------ London

Height: 164cm ------ 176cm

Age: 23 ------ 22

Specialty: Wrestling ------ Muay Thai

Kid defeated Santiago Junior in the first round of the tournament with a submission victory in the second round. After defeating Junior, Kid may be the favorite in this tournament, especially considering how recently he faced current champion Seamus Macnamara. He lost that fight via unanimous decision. Kid is known to take the fight to the ground, and it will be interesting to see if he decides to stand with a Muay Thai fighter.

Time is an undefeated prospect, a task that is hard to do in Budokai, especially in their stacked Bantamweight division. However, Time has only one fight in Budokai, which resulted in a KO victory in the first round of the tournament against Yeu Fei. Known for having heavy hands, he has six KO victories, and his opponent will have to watch his P’s and Q’s as one punch could end this fight.

#2- Hratch Tzien (2-1) vs “The Boss” Motoso Angostura (8-4-1)

The breakdown-

Hometown: Kadwan, Burma ------ Bucaramanga, Columbia

Fighting out of: Las Vegas ----- Los Angeles

Height: 170 cm ----- 170 cm

Age: 22 ------ 23

Specialty: Muay Thai ------ Muay Thai

Tzien Submitted his opponent Uramoto Susseu in the first round of the tournament, in only his third fight as a professional. Known as a striking sensation, he looks to continue his success in what will be only his second fight in Budokai.

The Boss is a former Budokai champion looking to reclaim the title. He is a long time veteran of Budokai, and the hall of fame may be in his future if he can reclaim the title. He won the first round of the tournament via decision over Android Ten. His only losses in Budokai are to Santiago Junior and Current Champ Macnamara.

Now, for the Middleweight Bouts:

#1- Max “Captain” Chaos (13-5) vs Ikemba Onazi (4-1)

The breakdown-

Hometown: Sydney, Australia ----- Awka, Senegal

Fighting out of: London ----- Las Vegas

Height: 180 cm ----- 193 cm

Age: 24 ------ 21

Specialty: Wrestling ----- Muay Thai

Captain Chaos beat Rogerio De Souza via decision in the first round of the tournament. This marked the third decision victory of his career, and his second decision win in Budokai. Although only 24, Captain Chaos has 18 professional fights to his name, and holds an experience advantage over everyone else in the Twin Crown tournament.

Onazi beat Christopher Blackburn in the first round of the tournament via Submission. This was his debut in Budokai, having fought in North Star Combat previously. How he cuts to Middleweight defies physics, as he is one of the biggest fighters in the division, and looks like a heavyweight when he’s not cutting. This fight will most likely be spent on the ground as both fighters have the majority of their wins coming from Submissions.

#2- John “Johnny” Lawrence (8-2) vs Luiz Franca (11-5)

The breakdown-

Hometown: Los Angeles, US ------ Sao Paulo, Brazil

Fighting out of: Las Vegas ------ Sydney

Height: 180 cm ------ 188 cm

Age: 22 ------ 30

Specialty: BJJ ------ Wrestling

Lawrence defeated his first opponent of the tournament, Scott Hill, via submission. Lawrence only has one loss in Budokai, a decision loss to Jessie James. Every win for Lawrence has come via submission, and Lawrence will most likely pull guard to bring the fight to the ground.

Franca is the oldest competitor in the tournament, and has been in Budokai for almost his entire career. He won the first round of the tournament against Dragomir Savic via decision. Seven of his eleven wins have come via submission, and it is unclear who has the advantage on the ground in this fight.

Now, for the rest of the card-

Uramoto Sussue (3-1) vs “Red Ribbon army’s” Android Ten (4-8)

The breakdown-

Hometown: Rocinha, Brazil ------ Arundel, US

Fighting out of: Montreal ----- New York

Height: 163 cm ----- 160 cm

Age: 21 ----- 23

Specialty: Wrestling ------ Boxing

Sessue lost during the last round of the tournament to Hratch Tzien via submission. This was the first loss of Sessue’s career. However, Sessue still has a bright future ahead of him, and is looking to bounce back against Android Ten.

Ten is on a six fight losing streak, and is looking to break that streak against Sessue. Ten was defeated via decision in the first round of the tournament. However, Tenis known to have a granite chin, and fully believes that he can bounce back from this losing streak. Ten is a former champion in Evolucion.

Arlo “Flower Power” Rochester (3-3) vs Rocky “The Brockton Blockbuster” Marciano (5-1)

The breakdown-

Hometown: Wichita, KS, US ------ Brockton, MA, US

Fighting out of: Los Angeles ----- Sydney

Height: 189cm ----- 185cm

Age: 21 ------ 29

Specialty: Boxing ----- Wrestling

“Flower Power” won his first fight in Budokai via Submission against Chief Bull. He originated as a boxer that transitioned into MMA, and has two KO victories to his name. After tightening up his BJJ skills, he received “submission of the night” honors in his last fight.

Marciano is 5-1, and his only loss comes in a title shot in PSE. He has 3 KO victories, as well as 2 decision victories. He has one submission loss, however, he has not faced a grappler as good as Rochester, and his ability to stuff Rochesters submission attempts will make or break this fight.

Marcos “Black Magic” Sanchez (6-5) vs Yeu Fei (10-5)

The breakdown-

Hometown: Mexico City, Mexico ----- Anyang, China

Fighting out of: Las Vegas ----- New York

Height: 167cm ----- 184 cm

Age: 24 ------ 31

Specialty: Boxing ------ Muay Thai

Black Magic has been in Budokai for his entire career. All six of his victories have come via KO, and made his last opponent tap to strikes after some vicious ground and pound. He has won “KO of the night” honors three times, and looks to add a fourth award in this fight.

Yeu Fei lost in the first round of the tournament via KO against My Time. Fei is a former Budokai champion and believes he can reclaim the title. Fei himself has won KO of the night honors four times. Expect fireworks from this bout.

“The Mad Monk” Frank Martin (10-14) vs Mario “The Artist” Rossi (7-5)

The breakdown-

Hometown: Shirebrook, England ------ Toronto, Canada

Fighting out of: New York ------ New York

Height: 178 cm ----- 180 cm

Age: 29 ----- 24

Specialty: BJJ ------ Muay Thai

The Mad Monk is a long time Budokai veteran. He is also known for his warrior spirit, and recently had two fights within a three day time period, winning both. All ten of his victories have come via submission. A LoL veteran, Martin has a long line of notable fighters that he has fought.

The Artist looks to turn around a three fight losing streak. Rossi is 3-4 in Budokai, but has faced some tough opposition, including some title contenders. Known for his never give up attitude, Rossi has shown big heart in every fight he has been a part of, even in his KO losses. Rossi is known to pack a powerful punch, and looks to get back to his winning ways with a cracking knock out.

Budokai 79: Trump vs. Schaub

Event Preview by Gut Punch

http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1564757939BUDO%2079.png

Budokai 79: Trump vs Schaub takes place on August 3rd in the historic Saku Dome in Tokyo. This card features two title bouts, at both Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight. The card features 8 professional bouts in total, from all different weight classes. Lets take a look at the prelims:

Featherweight Bout
Omar Cunningham (3-3) vs Alex Stern (6-4)
The breakdown-
Hometown: Las Vegas, NV, US ----- Sydney, Australia
Fighting out of: Las Vegas ----- Sydney
Age: 23 ------ 24
Height: 169 cm ------ 178 cm
Specialty: Muay Thai/Wrestling ------ Boxing
Cunningham is 2-3 in Budokai, having fought in the Bantamweight division. This is his debut at Featherweight. He has shown some knockout power at Bantamweight, and is hoping that cutting less weight will increase his KO power.
Stern is 5-4 in Budokai. He is a knockout artist with 5 KO victories to his name. Only one of his career fights has gone to decision, so you know you’re going to get some fireworks every time he steps into the ring. He has lost his last two and is looking to turn the streak around by connecting with Cunningham’s chin here.
Lightweight Division
Conor Larkin (5-1) vs Ryan Rodriguez (8-4)
The breakdown-
Hometown: Kilkenny, Ireland ------ Southampton, England
Fighting out of: New York ------ Las Vegas
Age: 24 ------ 24

Specialty: Wrestling ------- Boxing
Larkin is one of the top prospects in Budokai. He has proven his ability to finish fights in every manner, whether it be KO, Sub, or Decision. His only loss comes in a title shot against current double champ Vadim Golovkin. Larkin considers this only a temporary setback and looks to give a fight performance worthy of a rematch with the double champ.
Rodriguez has gone 2-3 under the Budokai banner. However, He has shown promise in his short career, and was Drop Kick Cage Warrior’s last Lightweight champion. Now under new management, Rodriguez had a fight go to decision for the first time in his career. Rodriguez looks to go back to the Amazing KO finishes he’s known for in this fight.
Middleweight Division
Rogiero De Souza (9-9) vs Scott Hill (6-5)
The breakdown-
Hometown: Rio De Janeiro, Brazil ------ Lincoln, NE, US
Fighting Out of: Rio De Janeiro ------ Los Angeles
Age: 23 ------ 21
Height: 190 cm ------ 185 cm
Specialty: BJJ ------ BJJ

Taekwondo, not Hapkido but this is my first time here and I love this country and their people.

The Hapkido guys are sharing the training camp with us and they are super cool, the spanish team has the absolute hottest women but Swedish women have the best bootie.

This is my last cycle for the Worlds/ Olympics so gotta make the best of it as it’s a young sport and I’m already up there in age when it comes to international competition.

I’m actually great at networking so after this is done will start getting into coaching. Have met some of the best coaches in the world this year. Not sure where I might end up next but Spain and Denmark sound like good choices.

Tonight is the big party and I’m gonna lay pipe 100% , already got my eye on a few really hot women here.

Wish me luck !!
