  1. That is a valid point, and an issue I'm not opposed to discussing. What do other people think about this? And, if people are unhappy, what would you suggest we do to keep everyone in the org content? I am opposed to cutting fighters outright, let me say that up front. I believe that even our more "advanced" fighters tend to be lower-tier intermediate fighters in the big picture, and that even the nineteen year olds can catch up to them in short order with proper training and motivation. In the meantime, we have no shortage of challengers, and there are plenty of other opportunities for all of our competitors to take on opponents of different skill sets. Please bear with us while we iron out the wrinkles, as I have never ran an org before and this org in particular seems to be a totally new concept for anyone. Mr. Rdalycolts, please call off the uprising momentarily. We are willing to negotiate!
  2. This is the official Disobedience press release for my fighter, Ned Kelly. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Australian fighter Ned Kelly has recently signed on to Disobedience. He expects to fight his first fight in sixty days time. While there have been some problems with his VISA brought on by felony convictions and parole obligations, Kelly will be ready to bring his particularly dirty brand of kickboxing and grappling to the Disobedience cage in short order. Ned Kelly is a fearless warrior and a fierce competitor. He is at Disobedience for one reason: to attain the title and defeat all competitors. See you in the cage!!
  3. James Dean Press Release There have been many questions brought up recently, some covering upcoming matches and most involving fighter inactivity. I hope this clears a few things up. Darstknasset Oystenteller has agreed to a rematch with Albert Dulin in two weeks time. Hopefully we can get both of those boys on here to talk about it. In about a month we may switch to twice weekly events. We have a lot of fighters now, and that means a lot of fights to book. Once we trim the fat and remove the inactive fighters, this is one of the plans your owners have discussed. A lot of you are messaging me for fights. This is fine, but you should first check page one of this thread to see whose camp you're in. I cannot book fights for Mr. William's fighters, and vice versa. I have to go on vacation for about a month, starting on August 7. I will be leaving this org in the VERY capable hands of Mr. Williams, who does most of the work anyway. He will be logging on to check my account and mail, and any concerns during that time should be addressed to him. Remember, the best way to get your man a fight at REVO is to talk smack. We reward those who post on this thread with higher profile fights against the opponents they want. So get to smack talking, and we will be sure to hear you. One last note: Jeremy Stapleton should get the fights he wants, and soon, providing he stays in the W column. I think Mr. Petrosyan is not opposed to a match, for one...
  4. Your beard is indeed notable. However, check out LHW contender Owen Glyde's beard. It is awesome as well...
  5. What's a reasonable morale drop during training sessions?
  6. It's maybe worse. It gets pretty damn violent, and there are no stoppages. I'm looking for a link but I'm at work. If no one else has posted it I will get it later when I am home.
  7. Has anyone else seen this on youtube? It's kind of sick, and very little technique involved. Craziness. Just curious what other people thought.
  8. I've been training Muay Thai for over a year, and I had big problems with my chin coming up. I started tucking a golf ball under my chin when shadow boxing. It helped me a lot. And I was told to picture my feet like they are tank treads, never crossing, and you only move the foot that is towards the direction you want to go. The other one just slides into place behind it. So if you are a righty, you move forward and to the left with your left, back and to the right with your right. I was made to practice by circling a box, always facing front but moving left, forward, right, then back, around and around it, hands up with weights in them.
  9. NOT Fedor. How about CroCop? Talk about a one trick pony...
  10. Mir can be a beast. He can also be a chump. We've seen both, you just never know which one is showing up on fight night. That being said, I'd rather talk about him then fight him...
  11. Footwork is the single most important standup skill, period. I've seen very strong punchers with strong chins get punched silly and knocked down by guys with accurate footwork. I know it's cliche, but footwork can't be stressed enough. Timing, distance, and power will all come naturally with proper movement. Read some of Bruce Lee's writings on timing and distance. Nothing has changed since then.
  12. Keep your hands up and your chin down. Circle out of the corner. Keep your feet in position. Other than that a decent start.
  13. Marcellas Wallace: I'm dominating my division. Let's get some new challengers in here! The pool is awful shallow!
  14. REVO-4 REVIEW by James Dean REVO-4 was overall an interesting event. Four out of the five fights from my camp ended on the ground in the first round. The one that didn't end on the ground was a total mismatch, but kudos to Browne for stepping up to the plate against a veteran competitor when other people declined the fight. Here are some of my thoughts about the fights and fighters from REVO-4. 265 lb Division Akulov vs Foster The first fight of the evening was the longest fight from my camp. Akulov came with relentless ground and pound, and Foster couldn't handle it. Akulov dominated the fight from start to finish, and overall had a very impressive showing. AKULOV- A Good job enforcing your game plan. FOSTER- F Aside from two takedown attempts, which he's lucky he didn't get, Foster did nothing but attempt in vain to control. Time to revise the ol' game plan. 265 lb Division Abc vs Bolec Well, when Abc clinched up and pulled guard I thought he was on to something. Then he tried to stand, from bottom, and tapped out. Bad idea. ABC- D He gets some points for effort here, just needs to work on his grappling if he's going to, um, grapple. BOLEC- B+ He waited for his moment and didn't let it pass him up. A decent showing. 155 lb Division Morgan vs Braddock Austin Braddock and Huey Morgan won Fight of the Night honors, but I honestly don't know how. I almost understand Morgan being awarded Sub of the Night, but this wasn't much of a fight. Braddock missed, Morgan capitalized and dominated on the ground. Game over. MORGAN- A He got the fight where he wanted it, gained position and nailed the submission. BRADDOCK- F After he missed an uppercut he didnt seem to have much else to offer. 265 lb Division Williamson vs Miranovic Boro Miranovic tried to set the place, securing the takedown and fishing relentlessly for submissions, but Carl Williamson weathered the storm and countered with a perfectly executed submission of his own. WILLiAMSON- A A well thought out ground game earned him the victory. MIRANOVIC- C- He got the takedown and was winning the round, but wasn't able to come out on top this time. 205 lb Division Petrosyan vs Browne Youngster Simon Browne stepped in to fight veteran Grevorg Petrsyan on short notice, and got some valuable in-cage experience. Ten seconds of it. PETROSYAN- A What else needs said? KO of the Night BROWNE- F We didn't get to see much from him. Still, He gets an "A" for effort. And that's a wrap for REVO-4! See you at Camp Wars!
