Mentor
I did not watch any events in the past, but after Mighty Mouse went over there, i decided to check it out. Got to say, i was kind of impressed overall. It has it's own "flavor" to it, in comparison to lets say UFC or Bellator. IN the case of Ballator, basically you have a low end UFC copy, with a focus on name value rather than real ability, with ONE, there are some major differences. First of all, the production values are pretty good, i would say, on par or close to those of the UFC. Michael Schavello is the commentator (he is one of my all time favorites). They have the ring instead of the cage, which reminds us of Pride, personally i prefer the cage for MMA, but ONE has Muay Thai and Kick boxing bouts as well, something which is also different. The level of competition is pretty good, their PPV level events are not that far off from the UFC and you get to see a few well known names as well. One thing that is also unique is that they use MMA gloves for the Muay Thai and Kick boxing fights, that increases the speed of the bouts and it is something i have never seen before. They have some different rules, i am not sure of all of them, but they have knees to the head of a grounded opponent (one fight ended via a knee while on the ground). Another thing that is kind of obvious is they most likely do not have anti-doping. Akiyama did not fight for 4 years and man.................he was RIPPED as hell! In fact most fighters looked like they were on some serious jungle juice. Anyway, i guess it is not quite UFC, but it is different and entertaining. I would say they are already clearly the #2 org in the world at the moment.
The1rstSaint
I think Alvarez and Mighty mouse both found out the competition is not to be slept on. Super Sage really got the worse of his debut though. https://youtu.be/cMsiOSej-nI
Rei
I was gonna ask how much Chatri was paying you but then I saw the anti-doping comments lmao. I love watching ONE but they are far from flawless (like everyone else), and have much they could improve on. Their production value is the best in the world currently, more so than the UFC, as they are just too cookie-cutter and boring these days. I rate ONE below RIZIN and UFC but slightly ahead of Bellator.
FightGame26
When I saw that monster dismantle Eddie with brute power I was very impressed...what fighters should I look into from One that are entertaining?!
Mentor
Not sure about below Rizin, i watched a couple of their events (none in 2019), the quality is not great and 80% of their fighters are local based mid level talent. I sure hope they grow though, love to see a Pride level org in Japan.

I sure hope they grow though, love to see a Pride level org in Japan. I don't agree about the quality being great, but the production could definitely be better. As for talent, a lot of it is homegrown but then again there are fighters who are great, some even at the top of their weight-classes worldwide like Kyoji (arguably #1 at 125/35), Hamasaki (#1 105), Ham (#2 105), Jiri, Ishiwatari etc. They do have a problem with growth however and their future is always hanging in the balance when it comes to things like tv deals, as a lot of the Fuji TV ratings have underperformed. Last event did great though, and they pulled a huge crowd even without it being one of their "big cards". I do wish RIZIN got the deal with Abema though as they are the best at sorting out the production side of things (see ONE, Jewels etc.) ONE had an interesting event the other day and its mad seeing both Alvarez and MM having some trouble because UFC fanboys thought they'd steamroll everyone with ease lol

Gator001
Yeah One gets a bit carried away with the way they hype everything and some areas in the company seem shady , but then again I think MMA is about as shady as a sport can get as there is no oversight, not even in the UFC. One's cards though in general are much better to watch than anything else out there, especially with the world class Muay Thai and Kickboxing fights they mix in with MMA on their cards, that is a definite winner for me
The1rstSaint
I have recently started watching the One Warrior series, on YouTube. It is quite enjoyable for me, nice to see Rich Franklin as the host and the asaian culture has always been interesting to me, a win-win
Mentor
I never watched those so far, just the PPV events, maybe i need to look into it. Clearly they are trying to attract the USA fans, they are employing a lot of the old UFC talent into roles.
The1rstSaint
When I saw that monster dismantle Eddie with brute power I was very impressed...what fighters should I look into from One that are entertaining?! I was just watching some Kevin Belingon fights that guy is a beast he fights at Bantamweight a lot but is definitely a flyweight. A couple more good ones are Martin Nguyen and Eric Kelly. The Philippine fighters are extremely talented from what i see Team Lakay who Belingon is apart of had 4 of the One titles at one time i believe. Honestly i think my interest with One is growing mostly because of my rapid loss of interest for the UFC but having a decent Youtube station has been a big factor as well. I feel you on the YouTube aspect of things ESPN + always seems to be difficult so it's kinda forced my hand to watch more One shows
