fenixink
I'm not sure if this has previously been suggested but it would add a level of depth to running a clothing company if they instead became gear companies. This would involve adding additional slots to fighters other than shorts/shirts. For example: Headgear: Grappling Gloves: Boxing Gloves: Shin Guards: Handwraps: These particular items could work like nutrition companies in the sense that they have a quality level and research will unlock the ability to produce higher quality gear. Orgs could also purchase their own standardized grappling/mma gloves for their fighters to use in fights (possibly could be tied into org merch partnerships giving orgs a small cut of merch sales while slightly increasing merch sales in general) The items could modify the effectiveness of sparring and possibly other coached sessions. In order to make this a positive addition rather than a negative addition I would suggest that these pieces boost training/sparring of related skills. The alternative would be to reduce the effectiveness of sparring/training with lower quality gear. Pros: Adds more depth to clothing companies Possibly decreases time 18 year olds and the like spend training Could be tied into org/merch partnerships More realistic in the sense that most fight clothing companies produce gear Cons: Might require additional order capacity for clothing stores which would impact laundry restraints Good bit of coding to make this happen. Possible increase time to train if the choice is made to negatively impact training without good gear. More overhead costs for new players
Wolf
It sounds very complicated, but i defiantly like the idea just to add some spice to the game. +1
Guest
i like this idea, i think it would be cool if the gear you mentioned some how improved sparring. As in wearing all the gear could improve sparring outcome by x% or reduce energy loss by x%

More overhead costs for new players "More overhead costs for new players" they could do starter gear for fighters like the Magic white t-shirt and shorts then you could upgrade gear from there
harolddee
Fight Gear could add like a +1 or 2 to training and if it is wore out a -effect
Shards
Assuming these will work like cloths you could help cut cost by making the quality better in the starting gear. Have it start at the 130 mark and it'll degrade as normal, unlike bought gear it won't drop below 100 but also unlike bought gear it'll never be 150 either. Also what gear will increase BJJ and wrestling, ear guards?

Perhaps a Gi Jacket and Gi Pants.

Gi's , rash guards better belts for gi's .for wrestling singlets and rash guards head gear for better training no head gear in fights. mouth piece for all fighters hand wraps gloves cups ankle tape . some or all these would be fun i think anyway.
