Greatest KT Fighter Of All Time

Recommended Posts

As the title suggests... As immerse myself more and more into the kickboxing world I find myself looking to the past for answers. With that of course one of the most common and natural questions has bounced around in my thinking machine...

Who is the greatest KT of all time?

Finding the answer has been difficult but I took took to the KT Hall of Fame(http://www.mmatycoon.com/halloffame.php and switch to KT) to find out.

I'm gonna comb through all of these on my laptop in a bit but first gimme your opinions. Hopefully with the rise of new KT orgs thanks to the second company slot and Mike hopefully actually turning off his QFC bots the future of KT is a bright one. IMO it's a part of the game that should be expanded on(I vote this) or done away with altogether.

I'll list the ones you mentioned and all the ones recorded on the HOF KT page but there is plenty of them missing.

"The Godfather" Don Marciano

http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=70356

9 title fight wins with 2 separate belts

Sergei "Cuddles, KT Legend" Dimitrovich

http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=124579

16 fucking title fight wins!! holy shit! Of course a key loss to the above fighter 4puts in a unfavorable light when the two are compared

Sher Shah "THE TERROR" Suri

http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=203918

14 title fight wins! Also really nice. Also has a key 2 losses in a trilogy with Don Marciano giving him two key points against the two below him

"Legendary" Lorenzo Von Matterhorn

http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=49396

19 fucking title fight wins and going 1-1 with Marciano imo gives him the No. 1 spot so far.

Nero La Croix

https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=301283

12 title fight wins and once again current No. 1 after Renato Gracie losing to Silva Scorpion the other day.

Jacques "The Glock" Durand

https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=294724

10 title fight wins but currently 2-3 vs the current P4P No. 1 Nero La Croix.

"The Crusher" Milovan Cirkovic

https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=190108

13 title fight wins and he might be the first fighter not a HW or SHW to reach P4P No. 1 status

"God" Chuck Norris J

https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=225528

11 title fight wins but losing so many times to Arthur Pinto who is on this list eliminates him from any contention

"Cyborg" Arthur Pinto

https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=252602

Only 4 title fight wins but an 11-2 kickboxing record with him avenging his first loss and losing to Ravi Vamoosh in his final fight is nothing to sneeze at.

Puck Heidegger

https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=258129

10 straight title fight wins through OC, Empire and into Rio Heroes before tasting defeat but unfortunately for him when he lost it he never was able to win it back.

"The Kochi Tiger" Ravi Vamoosh

https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=262047

8 title fight wins, probably the first 155lbs No. 1 P4P fighter and the first I've seen under 205. Went 1-1 with the name below.

Lambert "The Predator" George

https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=280100

9 title fight wins, 6 different titles, 3 different divisions and has come close to reaching P4P No. 1 on multiple occasions but as we all know, it's hard for the lighter guys to get that hype over heavier guys(which is why I know I'm missing a bunch of great lighter KT fighters on this list). He won his first title at age 20 and is currently the No. 1 ranked WW champion of the world now at 38 which is pretty amazing imo. Of course when it comes to fighters I manage I'm sure I am bias but with his resurgence under me if he can go on a big winning streak now and put together 5 or more title defense and possibly a second title at a different weight he would have an argument. That is gonna be hard as I had to beat one of Lance Templeton's fighters to win the title and now defending it against his other fighter VIP(who IMO is better than Name Less). As it stands now tho he is one of the greatest but definitely not THE greatest.

"Alec" Dwan Diego

https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=267777

12 title fight wins at two different divisions and 5 different belts. Bradley could probably fill in more history here that I don't have context for.

Renato Gracie

https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=285601

Again my fighter so I will try to not be biased but since he's mine I know more about his accomplishments so it'll be long lol.

Only 4 title wins but also won the Open Weight grand prix(because of speed advantages I know this isn't a big accomplishment out of character but in character when immersing yourself into the world it is). Holds wins over champions at every weight class 145-265+ and 3 fighters on this list. Also wins over https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=317200 and https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=281309 who also should be on this list but I don't have anymore time to spend on this. He has reached P4P No. 1 twice, won titles at 3 different weight classes(and Grand Prix win) making him a grand slam-type champion despite only 4 title wins which is bizarre. All said and done tho, despite his Conor McGregor-type accomplishments in comparison to the Anderson Silva/Fedor-type of Matterhorn and Sergei he simply hasn't done enough to be considered but I do believe he is one of the greats. His more MMA-style build is going probably going to keep him from going much further however as he is getting harder and harder to keep from regressing and depopping.

And that's all I have time for at the moment.. I know there is quite a bit of No. 1 P4P KT fighters missing from the list or that weren't recorded like Marciano and I haven't been around the scene long enough to give enough context around the wins of each fighter here so if someone could add anything to any fighter I posted that would be amazing. Also please post your own fighters and thoughts.

KT was dominated by the little guys originally.

William Bird was undefeated for a long time. #1 forever until I came along and took over KT for a bit w/ Kong.

Qing Kong

Simon Kanitz

Not sure if Antionio Liboria Lim or w.e. his name was had any good runs at the top but the other 3 went on 10+ fight win streaks.

I’d expect my vunderbeast Nero La Croix http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=301283 is right up there.

48 fights. 39-8-1. 34 KOs. Long term and repeated #1.

In the conversation at least!

Lost to your midget Gracie in the recent open weight competition, which was painful..

I should really start following the KT part of the game more, what a badass fighter!
