Guest
I'm not sure if it's just me, but it seems like my boxing accuracy is waaay down lately. First off, I'm not saying this guy shouldn't have beat me, because he's very talented. Also, I have no problem with landing kicks like crazy, because his MT is so much higher than mine. But I'm not crazy about how often my guys get winded from low kicks. Back to my first point. My guy is a Sensational boxer with Elite punches and I had the slider set to 70% accuracy but only went 18 of 75 on my punches and got countered a lot. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=554342 And in this one, http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=552412, my guy was a Sensational boxer with Sensational punches with 60% Accuracy and he landed 46 out of 151 punches. Again, not crying because I lost. I'm cool with that. Just seems like accuracy is way down for my boxers lately.
MMATycoon
Nothing's changed with that in this update. If it's something other people think applies too, we will discuss it in the next round of fight engine updates / analysis.
duphus
Mike, i have noticed something when countering. not sure if just circumstance or what, but when I'm countering then strikes don't seem to follow the sliders per punch/kick and head/body/leg. I have seen this on 3 fights all different fighters, the last one was 67% kick, 80% head punches and my fighter threw (short fight) 5 punches with 3 being body shots and 1 kick. Not sure if a counter move doesn't follow the slider settings or what. I take it a counter would, can you confirm that it should. This only seems to show up when countering 60% or more, but not on all of them (other fights I've been counter also and didn't notice anything). Thanks
MMATycoon
Yeah it should still follow sliders.
duphus
Ok, I'll keep an eye on it. Just 3 times I seen stuff way way off from the % in regards to punches vs kicks, head vs body on punches and kicks high/body/low that didn't follow the slider % even close. All those fight did have less then 10% shig's so could be nothing. Thanks
MMATycoon
I tested that aspect pretty well with 100% x / y etc, so it should be OK but keep an eye on it.
Italscratch
I won a big fight...with fuckedup get-out-from-the-clinch slider (100% stay in clinch)? Gruesome.
TheJanne
I noticed something odd on this fight: http://www.mmatycoon...php?FTID=554340 It ends by Winnfield countering after he already had hit one counter after a missed kick. Haven't really seen that happen before the last game changes.

topologies
But what was the other guy countering when he missed that counter and got countered after the first counter? Maybe a miss counter>miss counter>hit counter. MAYBE.
MMATycoon
You can't counter a counter. My thought is that there was a move that missed but it didn't display the commentary from that move for some reason. If it keeps happening though, we'll need to have a good look at it. Guest
Well, until I read this thread it hadn't totally hit me that Counter Strike, Counter Grapple, Counter Clinch, and Counter Takedown all referred to how your fighter intends to counter. I had always taken it to refer to what your fighter was attempting to counter. It puts a bit of egg on my face, but ironically I've actually been quite successful since the engine changes, despite the fact that I've been trying to counterstrike strikers and counter-takedown wrestlers. The sliders are clearly marked "Read Instructions" but I thought I already realized what they meant. No real complaint or issue to highlight, I just chalk this up to my own reading comprehension.

Kronix
I had a fight yesterday that pretty much went as gameplan except for one thing. Takedowns. I sett the sliders so I could expect about 5-6 takedowns for the entire fight. It came as rather a big suprise that durring the whole fight, 3 rounds and basicly 95% of the fight being a stand up striking fight. My fighter never even attempted to shoot once. I won the fight so he managed without any takedowns. I just found it strange that he didn't even attempt one takedown when he was aming for about 2 TD's per round. (This is without clinch takedowns, pure stand up shoot takedowns) http://www.mmatycoon...php?FTID=555009 My fighter is nebosja. Everything else went according to gameplan. SHIG was only set to 40% (60% follow orders). Maybe just an unussual diceroll but he should have attempted at least 1 TD in 3 rounds of fighting. MMATycoon
I'd be more concerned if he was losing and never went for one but the fact he was winning with a decent amount of SHIG, that could be a fairly big factor (then the dice roll, obviously). I just ran the fight 3 times and he went for takedowns 3,1 and 5 times.

igorbyhenikov
http://mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=554178 In the clinch, before i rocked my opponent i landed every shot, and after that i went 159/9 in one round? Is this some kind of a bug or what the hell just happened?
MMATycoon
Yeah that one looks weird. Nothing to do with recent changes but I remember a couple of times someone being rocked weirded things out. Unfortunately not really much info to go on. I will note that fight down though. Is this some kind of a bug or what the hell just happened? Agree this looks very strange and am wondering what's happened, neither fighter are to do with me but it has me very curious for 2 reasons. Firstly it's obviously very odd that you would land 9 out of 9 and then miss 150 more when he is rocked and secondly I don't think I've ever seen even remotely close to that many clinch strikes attempted in 5 minutes, especially as when I asked you about your aggression it was only set to 60%. I wouldn't expect to see that many attempts at 100% aggression!
