Counter success

Sooooooo...all the time in this game from when I first started to after I took time away and came back I've never really tried to figure out how the success rate of counter moves is determined. So, how is this determined....is it based off primaries, secondaries, physicals......all 3? If I have a sensational boxer set to do more counter attacks than being aggressive, is his success rate of landing those counter strikes greater than say another fighter doing the exact same thing, but is wonderful in boxing? Or, if the sensational boxer is facing a wonderful boxer, is his success rate greater than if he were facing another sensational boxer? Does striking defense come into play? I'm just wondering if these are things I also need to considering when setting my aggressive/counter sliders vs other fighters primary skills and past fights.

Everything is taken into consideration when it comes to countering. Boxing/Punch Technique/Agility/Speed/Damage slider, and of course the opponents values/sliders as well. Hard to actually predict the landing % w/ so many factors.
