Fast and slow learning fighters.

Hi everyone, just thought I'd ask about this subject because reading through the forum seems common that people ditch slow learning fighters asap. I know the younger they start off as the more they can learn but I've two 18yr olds one has had multiple pop increases in the last month.(skills and physical stats) The other one has increased a couple of times but this just seems to be physical increases. The question I really want to ask is how long do you give a fighter time wise before you write him off as a slow learner? I know each fighter has multiple random capabilities when it's created, but could someone give me a rough idea of how many pop, (stat increases) is classed as a fast learner? I know a quality gym plays a massive role in creating a top notch fighter, but my guy was popping around 3-4 stats a week in a Cozad gym. I've since moved him into a private gym to hopefully bring out the most in him. Was just wondering what the general consensus is of how many pops a week a fast and medium learner will gain??

Hey mate, this is not how everyone checks fast vs slower learners. You can AND should check a new 18yo's learning speed in their very first training session after creation.

The method to do this is described in Jake's brilliant creation guide under the "Check the learning speed" section. It's well worth a read in its entirety though!

I've read through the link you sent me, I am however struggling to grasp working out the training speed of my fighters... I've clicked on the links, and all I see in the skills snapshot is the bar filling up for a particular skill which is the same on the red blue and green drop down bar. It just seems to tell me what that skill already is, and also can't click on anything to tell me the exact percentage of what the bar is filled too, hope I'm not coming across as thick, I jus can't seem to copy exactly what the guy who posted this, is telling us to do... Up until now I've been using the weekly progress charts with the white dots and clicking on each dot, eg from week 4 then week 5 and seeing what the percentage increase is...

It will be a bit hard for you to get an accurate test unless you have 1 on 1 training with an elite coach because you don't have your own private gym but what I do on Chrome as least is right click on the filled portion of the bar to get the %. Not sure if that's very helpful but worth a shot.

Are you playing on the computer or phone only? The procedure described only works on the computer. You have to double-click to highlight and then right click "inspect" to get the percentage. Multiply this % by 150 and bam you have your learning speed( assuming you trained in a 1-1 session with an elite coach in a useless skill).

On phone the work-around is to look at the skill in tycoon assistant. Before training the skill will be 1--. After training, with a fast learner it will show 1+. With a slow learner it will be 1-.

You won't know the exact learning speed but it's a suitable filter for "slow" vs "fast" learners.

Ah right, Yeh I've only got access on my phone app and the full site on my ipad. Don't have a computer. Yes I have noticed the +&- symbols after training, and been tracking the weekly primary and secondary graphs on assistant. Seems to be working, as I have started to notice who is improving quicker than the others. So I guess I'll have to work it out from that. Will just take a bit longer to find out. I'm giving my fighters a month, and I've already sussed out two for definite how I'll be getting rid of when there fight contracts run out. I'm also going to only take 3 fight deals in future because of this. So I don't piss of the organisation managers.(don't want to dump my fighters while they are still under contract.) I suppose it's all a learning curve. Lol.
