Wolf Palace London smack talk

A great interview there by the rising star that is Mr Anderson, a man who wants to ruin any title contenders out there before he takes a shot... I understand that he is upset about a couple of guys goin for the title shot who have not fought in the org before but those guys are at the top of the rankings and have 5+ wins so it is hard to ignore that fact.. we will see if they are worthy of the title shot when the day comes! WPR is not an easy place to maintain a title belt with so much competition amongst the divisions, I will tell you that much!

WPR: Tuf 2

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1362408727ring%20girl.jpg

Hello again, Rory here with another preview; this time for the second TUF event between USA and Brazil. I must say USA wiped out Brazil in devastating fashion last time they met so the Brazilian team will want to take revenge and will no doubt be giving it everything they got when they step into the cage tomorrow night! I am very much looking forward to spectating this. As usual there will be two non-TUF events in this event as well starring 4 undefeated fighters; tonight that shall change!

Non TUF events:

265lbs: Rafelos Silva vs Amauro Nogueira

Silva (1-0) will enter the cage as the favourite for this bout despite Nogueira being 3-0. Silva has a very established ground game with a purple belt and very good wrestling to back it up where as Nogueira has just a purple belt to give him a chance at victory. Nogueira has proved he can be deadly with his submissions though so I would certainly not count him out!

Prediction: Silva via decision.

170lbs: Paul Paulson vs Gabs Nunes

Paulson is a one dimensional wrestler, but a very good one! He is 1-0 with his win coming via decision. He faces Nunes, who has the stand-up advantage as well as decent ground skills including a purple belt; Nunes has used his purple belt skills to get 2 of his 3 victories by submission so Paul will have to be careful when he opts to take it to the ground.

Prediction: Nunes via Submission.

TUF fights:

145lbs: Don Diego vs Peter McDonald

Both men are coming off a win from the first TUF event; McDonald being the only one in team brazil to do so. This should be a very good fight as both are very dangerous. Diego is a class MT fighter with a respectable ground game as well, although he will want to keeo this fight in the upright position in the clinch. McDonald has average striking skills but a brown belt, which he will rely on to get a victory in this fight. So, Diego will seek the KO and McDonald will go for the sub; but who’s it gonna be!?

Prediction: Tough call but Diego via TKO.

145lbs: Joey Reid vs Abu Zayd

In this bout we can look forward to a grappling fight; neither of them have any striking skills so it is purely a case of who will sink the submission first. Reid has a record of 4-0 (1-0 in WPR), he submitted Falcao half way through the first last time. Zayd is coming off a loss to a very talented Chilli Parlma but this fight will be a lot closer I feel and he will be craving a win to prove himself!

Prediction: Could go either way but due to his record I wil go for Reid via submission.

265+lbs: Gizzed MaPents vs Thiago Leonardo

MaPents will be confident after his win in TUF 1. He is a MT specialist up against a great wrestler and a blue belt in BJJ; Leonardo. Leonardo showed that his stand-up was rather weak against a powerful Cannondale Trail but I believe he will redeem himself this week with a victory although it will not be a walk in the park! MaPents is dangerous but Leonardo should be able to take him down and do the needful.

Prediction: Leonardo via decision.

145lbs: Daniel Fighter vs Carlos Falcao

Fighter is the only American to have lost so wll come out all guns blazing I would expect. He is a fantastic wrestler and will no doubt get the takedown to put Falcao’s far superior boxing out the game. However, that’s only half the story because Falcao recently earned a purple belt in BJJ in preparation for this fight. I think both fighters will be aggressive on the ground, Fighter looking for the KO and Falcao looking for the sub – it’s no secret!

Prediction: Fighter via TKO.

265+lbs: John McDougall vs Ronan Nogueira

McDougall is probably the most well rounded fighter in the tournament but his wrestling stands out more than anything else. He finished Chumbo with a nasty KO in the first round and will look to do the same here. Nogueira is purely a BJJ fighter who has a brown belt to his name. He was knocked out in TUF 1 so will be glad to take this one to the floor even though McDougall has great wrestling. Ronan will be working actively off his back for the submission but that’s only is McDougall decides to take it to the floor because he has a good advantage on his feet. The scales are tipping largely in McDougall’s favour

but lets see if this can be a huge upset, everyone loves an upset!

Prediction: McDougall via KO.

265+lbs: Cannondale Trail vs Aaron Chumbo

Trail earned his first victory with a nice looking TKO victory and has made a statement to the rest of the contenders. He has the upper hand in everything apart from BJJ. Chumbo will want to work his magic on the ground and put a win on his record via submission. This could be a close fight as both fighters are pretty evenly matched on the ground and by the looks of it neither of them has much to show in the stand-up department. This fight is there for the taking!

Prediction: Trail via TKO.

265+lbs: Chris Hines vs Ryan Beasley

This will be a striker vs grappler; Beasley the striker and Hines the grappler. I am sure Beasley will have been working on his TDD in preparation for this fight, if he hasn’t he has lost, if he has and can avoid the numerous takedown attempts coming from Hines then he might be able to pull off the KO. Hines will have to watch out for a flailing arm shooting towards his face or it’s good night! Let’s see who pulls off their game plan better.

Prediction: Hines via TKO.

145lbs: Chilli Parlma vs Renato Lita

Last but not least we have a fight that on paper looks one sided. Parlma has the advantage in every aspect of the game and won his first fight; Renato the opposite. Lita is gonna have to really play his cards right to get the W. As much as I would love to see a huuuuge upset I can’t see it happening. God save you Lita!

Prediction: Parlma via intimidation.

Well let’s hope my predictions are horribly wrong because I have it 7-1 to USA again. Come on Brazil! Don’t let em beat you on your home turf!

Rory.

After I submit my second straight purple belt, I'm coming for that title. It doesn't matter If it's Rob "Thoroughly Average" Ramirez or Grim "The Muay Thai Sleeping Pill" Reaper. I'm coming for you, mainly your arms and necks.

TUF 2 recap

Yet again Team USA were the dominant side in this encounter, winning 7 fights to 1. Team Morale must be rather low in Brazil right now; Abu Zayd was the only Brazilian to get a win this week over Joey Reid. It was none the less a very entertaining event with plenty of knockouts. Cannondale Trail prevailed once again and earned KO of the night with a devastating head kick against Aaron Chumbo. Brazil really need to start earning some wins or this is gonna be an All-American knock out stages in Brazilian soil. Amauro Nogueira and Gabs Nunes who are not taking part in the tournament both left the cage victors in their bouts and move up the ladder for their respective divisions, Nogueira earned sub of the night with a bone crunching kimura. Fight of the night was given to Don Diego vs Peter McDonald, two hot prospects for the 145lbs belt, but Diego pulled off the victory with a TKO managing to take the fight into the clinch and executing his game plan very well. 2 more fights remain for the fighters to prove themselves and confirm their places in the semi finals, Team Brazil are skating on thin ice right now and need to show their country what they are all about!

145lbs results:

- Don Diego defeated Peter McDonald via TKO (strikes)

- Abu Zayd defeated Joey Reid via Unanimous Decision

- Daniel Fighter defeated Carlos Falcao via Unanimous Decision

- Chilli Parlma defeated Renato Lita via Submission (RNC)

265+lbs results:

- Gizzed MaPents defeated Thiago Leonardo via TKO (Strikes)

- John McDougall defeated Ronan Nogueira via TKO (Strikes)

- Cannondale Trail defeated Aaron Chumbo via KO (head kick)

- Chris Hines defeated Ryan Beasley via TKO (cut)

I already have a 25 second TKO victory in this org and am gonna do it again against some unknown lame weasel of a man, 'Joes Ortiz'. Then I will crush any one else who is stupid enough to fight me cos I am Kenny Fuckin Powers, noone beats KP. I dare one of you vagina's to challenge me!

Big Fatso:

Dare a vagina to challenge you, so that's the only way a guy like you can get some pussy, one would imagine. I ain't no vagina, but I do indeed challenge you, I am not the least bit scared of your 25 second KO against a guy who couldn't punch his way out of a paper bag.

Big Fatso:

Sounds like a man whore wannabe to me. Don't you mention my momma you asshole, she died when I was young and I grew up in an orphanage. There was no record of my name, so they just made my nickname my real name. Let me tell you something, your name does not matter, you can make any name famous no matter how bad it sounds. My hero Roy Nelson and I are fighting for the fatties, and let me tell you there are many women out there who would love to have the opportunity to be with Big Fatso. I am known for actually pleasing my women unlike some other fighters I hear about *cough* *cough* Kenny Powers *cough*. Sorry got a bit of a cold after training a little too hard too hard ;)

Yeah losing ain't in your dictionary, but getting KTFO is only this time it's going to be your on the receiving end.

I am glad we can settle this in the cage :D

Welcome Fight fans for tonight’s preview of the first ever Wolf Palace Rio Fight Night. I am your host Kainlock and we will go over all the exiting action planned for the 10th of April that will come you to live from Wild Bob’s Bar in the beautiful Rio de Janeiro. Tickets are on sale and many good seats are still available for all the great action we will see.

Our first action of the night is in the welterweight division and will see a new comer to the Wolf palace in Rowan “Eurgh” Faife (0-1) taking on “Bruiser” Jeronimo Ferra De Almada (1-0). Rowan is a stand up warrior who found himself lost on the ground in his last fight. Reports are that he hasn’t really learned much from that meeting and looks to find himself in the ring once again with a strong grappler. Almada comes to us from the Steel Penn Alliance and appears to be a promsing young submission fighter. By all accounts Almada should be able to get this fight to the ground and take care of an overmatched Faife. But hey kids that’s why we have these fights. Almada is still going to have to get the fight to the ground and because of that Rowan does have a striker’s chance.

Kainlock’s Prediction: “Bruiser” Jeronimo Ferra De Almada

Our next contest is in the Lightweight division with Dong “Long Schlong” Dong (0-2) takes on Freddie “Cruger” Scott Miller (1-0). This fight looks like it will take place on its feet and that will benefit Dong very much. In his 2 prior defeats Dong found himself on the opposite end of some submissions and now gets his wish to face someone who will stand and bang with him. Miller made short work of his last opponent and will look to do the same here. On paper Dong is older, more experienced and more skilled then Miller. But that’s what Millers last opponent thought too. Can Miller make it 2 upset specials in a row?

Kainlock’s Prediction: Dong “Long Schlong” Dong

Some heavyweight action up next will see a fighter making his debut The Assassin (0-0) taking on Paulo “Mao de Ferro” Ferreira (1-2). Ferreira comes in here the more experienced fighter however the Assassin is looking to show he has taken his time developing his skills and will come out to wow everyone in Wolf Palace Rio. I talked to some folks over at Pros ya knows and they say this kid The Assassin out of the Tycoon Alliance is big strong and hits pretty hard. Not so good news for iron hand as his 2 losses have shown his chin is a little suspect. But hey you don’t get called “mao de Ferro because you have hands of pillows. That means we should be seeing some great heavyweight slugging going on with the better man getting the W.

Kainlock’s Prediction: The Assassin

More heavyweight action sees Joel “Bamalam” Watts (1-0) facing off against “Tiny” Big Fatso (0-0). Fatso is another Pros ya knows fighter of the Tycoon Alliance. Like The Assassin Fatso is of the Muay Thai discipline and since we are in the heavyweight division I doubt he will look to clinch and grind out a victory. Let’s not be so fast to discredit Joel Watts he has shown he can through down when needed and will look to take off Fatso’s head sooner rather than later. Either way a knouckout should be in the future of one of these competitors.

Kainlock’s Prediction: “Tiny” Big Fatso

“Pitbull” Aguinaldo Salcido (2-3) makes his WPR debut against Jon Fitch (1-0). No not that Jon Fitch. Jon Fitch does have a big name to fill and in his debut he shown he can grind it out with the best Jon Fitch’s in the World. Pitbull Salcido has been hit or miss in his fights so far and according to an interview last week in the Wolf Palace Rio Report Salcido has been suffering some morale issues as of late and some say he won’t be fully focused going in to this fight. Not coming in focused will play right into the hands of a grinder like Fitch. Can Fitch make it 2 in a row or will Pitbull find his mojo back and come into this fight ready?

Kainlock’s Prediction: Jon Fitch

Ben Richards (0-2) vs. Scooter McAuley (0-0) will be our feature Light Heavyweight fight of the night. Ben Richards is looking to prove is he can have a career in MMA. At 27 years old and an 0-2 start there is some grumbling at fellow fighters at ELITE Gym – Strikers think that Richards just doesn’t have “it” for this sport and he has been overtraining as of late. McAuley is also a man who is getting into the sport later and we will look to make sure he starts off more successful then Richards. Richards comes in with the better wrestling and better overall skills but McAuley should be superior on the ground and be able to control Richards if the fight goes there. Richards wants the fight on the ground so he may find himself overwhelmed once he ends up there.

Kainlock’s Prediction: Scooter McAuley

Again we find ourselves watching 2 heavyweights locking horns with Thiago “Bigfoot” Belfort (0-0) taking on Thiago De Silva (2-3) in the battle of the Thiago’s. De Silva is a good size heavyweight while “Bigfoot” is an enormous Heavyweight could easily fight at Super Heavyweight. De Silva hasn’t demonstrated much stopping power and with the sheer size of the debuting Bigfoot he may not be able to stop the big man. De Silva has shown the ability to go the distance and win and being so large and his first fight Bigfoot may find himself gassed if he doesn’t finish De Silva early.

Kainlock’s Prediction: Thiago “Bigfoot” Belfort

Middleweight action finds Rocky “Kid Dinamita” Joaquin (2-1) looking to

square off against another Mauy Thai expert form Pros ya Knows “Powerful One” Scottie Power (0-0). Tycoon Alliance looks to for another fighter to make a debut at Fight Night. Joaquin is a great ground fighter and knows that standing with Power is not where he wants to be. So this fight will be dictated by either Powers ability to avoid Joaquin wrestling and make him may for any takedowns or Joaquin taking Powers to the ground and getting the submission win.

Kainlock’s Prediction: “Powerful One” Scottie Power

Our Co main Event in the night does not come with some questions. Many

fans are clamoring that this fight should be main evening this card. The fans have gone on recording saying that “Bone Jeremy Crusher (4-1) is the biggest name on this card and with a 3 fight win streak he should be in the Main Event readying himself for what could be a title fight sooner rather than later. Crusher is grappling fighter thru and thru who gets the fight to the ground and works his magic. The one factor to why this fight may not be the Main Event is his opponent Tyler Durden (1-0). Durden trains at the Cozad MMA Rio and I will say it on record here tonight I will never back any fighter who trains at that dump of a gym. That being said Durden is also a solid ground fighter who has some standup ability. So when this fight goes to the ground both Durden could come in for the upset, but once again Cozad MMA RIO gym = a loss in Wolf Palace Rio.

Kainlock’s Prediction: “Bone Jeremy Crusher

Leaving us with our final fight of the night the Main Event of the evening Lightweights “EMPERADOR” Ryle Joaquin (2-1) against “Dynamite” Rodrigo Baptista (3-2). I already stated that his fight should not be the Main Event don’t get me wrong both fighters are worthy fighter for the fans too watch and it would be a the perfect fight for the Co-Main Event. Perhaps these 2 will prove me wrong and go on for put on the fight of the night.

Kainlock’s Prediction: “Dynamite” Rodrigo Baptista

That’s all for our recap tonight folks this has been Kainlock running down what should a a solid night of action for the first ever Fight Night event in Wolf Paradise Rio’s history.

Don’t that when you need the best fight gear out there that you can’t find it in Rio you have to go to Tokyo at the official sponsor of Wolf

Jimmy: Welcome WPR fans and thanks for tuning in to the WPR show. I am Jimmy Harris and today we have 3 fighters who will be battling it out for their respective division titles. Richard Jay Franklin and Randall White, who will be facing off against each other for the 185lbs title and also in the studio we have Grim Reaper who will be facing Rob Ramirez for the 155lbs title. Tensions are rising in WPR and things are really starting to get exciting with so much going on; not only are there title fights coming up but we have the TUF Brazil vs USA which is halfway through the group stages and WPR will soon be host to a massive tournament including 6 different countries; World Dominance 2013! Excuse my French but Shit is goin down over here, WPR is putting Rio’s beautiful ass back on the Map! Anyway, I shall stop mouthing on about how great WPR is and try and reduce the size of my erection whilst I hand you over to our fighter interviewer, Jack LaFleur.

Jack: Thanks Jimmy but I think you may have gone a little overboard there with the introduction for our first WPR show! I mean seriously!

Jimmy: Touché LaFleur!

----Franklin Interview----

Jack: Hello WPR fans and contenders, here I am with Richard Jay Franklin; a man who will be fighting for the belt in his next fight scheduled for 4 days’ time against Randall White. So 'Ace' great to have you here in the studio, firstly well done on your last fight against Filipovic making you record 2-0, do you expect the fight against White to end in similar fashion or have you got more tricks up your sleeve?

Franklin: Hello, hello all too glad to be here. I have a few tricks up my sleeve that I think will come out during the fight. I am a slightly better striker and I think I will surprise my opponent.

Jack: So you think you will out strike him? I must admit you have shown that you have some good striking skills in previous fights, but how do you see yourself coping with White on the ground? He carries a purple belt.

Franklin: Yes I know he has a purple belt and sharp takedowns but I trained and trained a lot of defence and lifting off the ground. I think I will be well prepared to fight on the ground. I know that Randall is a strong player despite losing twice by TKO so I think we will be a good fight on the feet.

Jack: Nice to see you show some respect to White. You mentioned that it will be a stand up fight; I hope so although something tells me that White will want this fight on the ground. Now, presuming you win and earn the title, you will be facing the winner of Owen Rose and Christian Kane. Both of them are 5-0 and are hungry for the title; out of the two who would you rather fight?

Franklin: You know I'm a fighter no matter who wins this fight; I'll fight them even though they have a 5-0 record. I will become famous for an organization in which I fight in and want to be one of the best known. Rose and Kane have a good inventory so it will be hard work. I know that Randal would want this fight to the ground but I will try not to do that in spite of my first fight for the organization in which I got taken down now so I think it will not be.

Jack: Reporter: You certainly are a fighter, an entertaining one as well! Well there you have it guys, a fearless fighter who wants to make a name for himself in WPR! Thank you for being with us Franklin and good luck in your fight against Randall White; may the best man win.

Franklin: Also thanks for the conversation I am glad to greet my fans and welcome to the event with my participation. I would also like to thank my sponsors for their help in the preparation. See you!

-----White Interview----

White interview:

Jack: Our next guest on the show will be facing Franklin for the title at 185lbs; Randall White. Randall congratulations on your victory against Rocky Joaquin, you managed to pull off a TKO in the 1st round! You appear to have skills in both Boxing and BJJ especially but do you prefer to strike or grapple in a fight?

White: Doesn't matter either way they're going down. In some of my first fights I tried too hard to get that Highlight KO and it worked against me. Arm, leg, or face if it's in front of me it's breaking

Jack: Good answer! Tell you what; I can't wait for this fight! Franklin seemed to have some respect for you when I interviewed him and acknowledged that you are a good fighter, what are your thoughts on him as a fighter?

White: Franklin only got 2 fights under his belt and so far he's put out everyone's he's faced but he hasn't faced me yet. I'm not taking him lightly but I’ll be damned if I’m walking out of the cage without that belt wrapped around my waist. I'll buy him a beer afterwards we can be cool after the fight but until then he's trying to stop me from getting what I deserve and deserved to be punished for even thinking so.

Jack: Wow, you really seem pumped up for this fight as you should be! What have you been focusing your training on in preparation for this title fight or is that a secret? Also, if you win this fight you will be up against either Christian Kane or Owen Rose both 5-0; which one would you prefer to fight out of the two?

White: What happens in the gym stays in the Gym only thing I wasn't happy about training was not being able to visit New York and train at Academy 209. I'm not the matchmaker and I ain't scared of nothin' but if i had to i would go against Kane. Rose is a good fighter but he's a wrestler. Wrestling is like rubbing two sticks together to start a fire and BJJ is like dumping rocket fuel on an open flame. If I wanted to wear spandex and fake fights i would wrestle but i don't swing that way

Jack: Haha! I would love to see Roses' reaction to that... and every other wrestler out there! So Kane would be your pick of the two because you think it would be a more entertaining fight.. Well we will see who faces who after the fights I guess! Sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory training but let's hope you do what needs to be done come fight day! Thank you ever so much Randall for spending time with us in the studio, anything else you wanna say to your opponent, the fans or WPR before your time is up?

White: Tune In, Log on or whatever way you can to see this fight. You will witness greatness in human form I'm gonna hit this dude so hard I'll open a black hole and watch the world collapse in upon itself. Support WPR they ain't no janky promoters they are class acts. Also I can't forget Rio Crossfit MMA, CEC Nutrition, & DTK Designs thanks for the support.

----Reaper Interview----

Jack: Our final guest for the show is Grim Reaper! He will be fighting for the 155lbs belt, a division with quite a lot of depth. So Reaper you have a very impressive record of 6-1, but there has still been some talk amongst WPR questioning why you get the title shot even though you have not fought in WPR. I think your record kinda answers that question, but what do you have to say in response to the people questioning your right to the throne?

Reaper: First off, thanks for the opportunity to fight for the belt. In response to the haters trying to take away from my success, I’ve worked really hard to get in the position I’m in. If you feel I’m in a undeserving title fight, string together your own form of success, Don’t take away from mine. Win some fights and make a case of your own instead of talking trash.

Jack: Like it or not, Reaper has a point and a 5 win streak goin on. I imagine your morale is peaking right now and Org owner Rory Daly is very excited to have you on board. So, how do you see this fight ending? you appear to have really good MT and decent wrestling skills, would you say a KO is on the cards?

Reaper: I will be prepared to win this fight where ever it takes place, but a highlight reel KO is defiantly not out of the picture. I’m always going for the knockout, but what’s most important is winning. If I could predict a picture perfect ending to this fight it would be me standing over my opponent after a devastating knockout, crowning me "the new 155lbs Champ"

Jack: Well I will be ring side with my co-host waiting for that! Or perhaps it will be the other way round dare I say it although Ramirez's striking does not look quite as effective as yours. I must ask, how has your training camp been going in the lead up to this fight? Is there a specific aspect of fighting that you have been working hard on?

Reaper: I’ve just been training like a mad man trying to increase my all around MMA game, focusing on my boxing and takedown defence for the most part. I want to be able to showcase that I’m an all-around MMA fighter and not just one dimensional. You have to have that type of mentality to be champion.

Jack: Vey true indeed. I see a bright future in you Grim Reaper, as ironic as that may sound with your name! haha! But seriously I do especially with the amazing success your manager has had since he started being a manager only about 3 months ago, don't act like you’re not impressed people; that is quite an achievement! He has assigned you and one or two more of his fighters to WPR, do you see yourself sticking around this org for a while or are you a travelling fighter?

Reaper: I could see myself making a permanent home at WPR. I really like the way things are ran around here and would love to grow as a fighter alongside with the org its self.

Jack: I feel warm and fuzzy inside after that comment, thank you! haha. We here at WPR aim to please and love nothing more than loyalty. Anyway, it has been reasonably short but sweet, but that’s all we have time for on today's show. Thanks Reaper for joining us and best of luck in your title fight. Anything you else you want to say to the fans or your opponent before we go our separate ways?

Reaper: I feel like as long as I fight to the best of my potential come fight night, I will be wearing a WPR LW belt in a post-fight interview with you. Good luck to my opponent and anyone who questions my worthiness of contending for this title .

----In Other WPR News----

Jimmy: In other news in WPR there seems to be some tension between heavyweight fighters Kenny Powers and Big Fatso; Powers called out anyone in the division after his fight against Ortiz and Fatso happily responded in no time accepting his challenge. Some vicious words have been exchanged in the process… Perhaps we will get them on the next episode of the WPR show.

Also, not long till the World Dominance tournament starts in WPR with 30 of the world’s best 135lbs fighters from 6 different countries (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Poland and Finland) will face off starting on the 20th of April. This is going to be fucking huge! Wow I just said that live, my bad but I simply cannot wait.

The TUF USA vs Brazil tournament is 2 events in and USA are absolutely dominating so far with a record of 14-2 over Brazil’s very own. A bitter pill to swallow for Brazil as this is all happening on their home turf. Let’s see if they can pick up their game in the remaining fights.

Finally, I would like to welcome 2 new writers to the WPR family. Firstly Kain Lock who wrote his first preview for WPR: Fight Night 1, which was fantastic! Also, Team of Purpose will be doing write ups for the World Dominance tournament events; we look forward to reading them!

Jimmy: That’s all she wrote for today lads! Stay Classy Rio!

Grim I find it hilarious that you have the balls to call me boring when the most exciting thing to happen in your last fight was that you got kicked in the penis.

4 decisions and 1 loss by submission to a blue belt. I've never needed more than 5 minutes to end a fight. But yeah I'm the boring one.

WPR 5: Taking the Thrones

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1363603382iron-throne.jpg

Welcome, WPR fans to another preview; this time for WPR’s biggest event yet! There will be 2 champions crowned tonight; a 185lbs champion and a 205lbs champion. The first champions to be crowned in the WPR ever! We also have plenty more fights as well, some to make number one contender status, others to prove themselves worthy of the organization. It’s going to be a great night of fights. Before anyone questions why Kain Lock is not writing the preview and why is it so late it is because Mr Lock unfortunately is a very busy man recently but he will be back! So do not worry, but for tonight you will have to bear with me! Anyway, I shall ramble on no longer…

Saomony Khim vs Joao Victor

This is Khim’s debut fight and he will be hoping to impress the org and fans utilising his MT and wrestling skills; we will be keeping a close eye on him to see what he has to offer. He faces Joao Victor, who is 1-0 in WPR and also has decent MT skills but his advantage is his blue belt so perhaps he will fancy his chances on the ground or will he have confidence in his MT skills against a fellow MT fighter? One thing that’s for sure is that he needs to get the hell out of the Cozad gym!

Prediction: Khim via TKO.

Freddie Krugerman vs Carlos Tevez

Krugerman aka ‘Nightmare’ is another fighter to show what he can do in his debut. He trains at the well-respected ‘Pros ya knows’ gym and has told us that he has been training very hard to impress the fans in this fight. Tevez lost his first fight in WPR and is desperate to redeem himself tonight. Both have a similar skill set but the Nightmare has better MT and Tevez has better boxing; we will soon find out which one will prevail.

Prediction: Krugerman via TKO.

Saleem Ibrahim Omar vs Daemon Blackfyre

This will be one hell of a fight! Both guys are very impressive mixed martial artists. Neither have fought in a professional fight to date but they have been training like crazy; they both seem to be very fast learners judging by what I have seen in their training sessions and open workouts. Omar is well rounded but excels in his wrestling skills, which will actually be his only advantage in this fight it appears but perhaps he has some tricks up his sleeve. Blackfyre is a beast to put it in a word, he has the best boxing skills in the whole of WPR and very good MT wrestling and BJJ in his arsenal as well. This has potential to be fight of the night but we will see. Blackfyre is the favourite for the fight but Omar has some terrifying wrestling skill, so do not count this guy out!

Prediction: Blackyre via KO.

Briggs Lovejoy vs Miguel Augusto

Both guys here are on a bad streak and one of them will end that tonight. This is a pretty even match up with Augusto taking the edge in the stand up department and a purple belt but Lovejoy has a brown belt so expect this to be a ground war because Augusto’s ‘stand up advantage’ isn’t exactly great.. I would imagine Lovejoy is the favourite for this fight as he has a better belt and its inevitably going to be a ground war.

Prediction: Lovejoy via submission.

Kenny Powers vs Joes Ortiz

Powers is coming off a nice TKO victory in the first 30 seconds of the first round and Ortiz is coming off a loss but he does have the ground advantage with a purple belt so he will be goin for takedown after takedown, this will depend on who executes their game plan well. Expect either a KO from Powers or a submission from Ortiz.

Prediction: Powers via KO.

Roxa Gili vs George Kenneth

Gili has a win under his belt in his first WPR fight; he relies on his decent boxing and BJJ skills to get the W, however in this fight he will need to keep it standing because he is up against a great wrestler. Kenneth is 2-0 but only fought in the QFC’s before. I think he will get the takedown in this fight and ground and pound his opponent for a TKO but maybe Gili’s blue belt is an understatement to what he has to offer in his ground game.

Prediction: Kenneth via TKO.

Pele Silva vs Conan Hatari

Another even match up here. Silva has the edge with his stand up skills and Hatari has slightly better ground game skills. This one could go either way, they both enter the WPR cage for the first time and will want to put on a show for the fans and make it a memorable event. Let’s hope they deliver!

Prediction: Hatari via submission

Mr Invincible vs Tone Black

Both fighters won their first WPR fight very impressively. Invincible in the first minute of the first round and Black in the dying seconds of the 3rd. I can’t wait for this fight; they have both shown that they are worthy of WPR and will leave everything they have in the cage tonight. Invincible has great stand up skills and a decent ground game. Black has a slight edge on the ground but can also stand and bang as well. This could be a close fight but I think Invincible will prove to be too powerful on the feet. It is hard not to back him after such an impressive win.

Prediction: Invincible via KO.

185lbs Title Fight: Richard Jay Franklin vs Randall White

The first of two title fights! Franklin is 2-0 with both ending in TKO. He has great boxing skills and a decent ground game. White is also a good boxer and has a better ground game than Franklin with a purple belt. Both seem confident for this fight after interviewing them in the WPR show and seem to have a mutual respect for one another, but that does not mean they will not bring all they have in this fight. This really could go either way as they both have a similar style and small advantages over each other. I expect this one to go past the first 3.

Prediction: Franklin via TKO.

205lbs Title Fight: Mari Juana vs Diego Minotauro

Mari Juana is 4-1 and redeemed his only loss with a victory over the same guy; Duda Robinson. He concentrates on his ground game and will try his very best to do so tonight against a fierce opponent; Minotauro. Minotauro is certainly the favourite in this bout.He has better stand up nd dare I say it better ground game. They both have a purple belt but Diego has better wrestling. Juana may have a chance on the floor though because he clearly puts most of his training into BJJ so maybe he can pull off a submission with BJJ clear in his mind.

Prediction: Minotauro via TKO.

That’s it for tonight I can’t wait; won’t have to wait much longer in fact! Good luck everyone and enjoy the fights!

Rory.
