VIP/multi game economy

I started replying to Barney over in the awards thread, but this can split off into its own discussion so here goes:

Barney:

One less vip account = one less paying user

Not sure it is that simple, someone paid money for the VIP yes. But multis generally don't, they buy on the exchange with money from their non-gym account. And I hear VIP prices have been rising lately. Which means a lot of VIP offers are not being bought. So taking some multis out of the market means other VIP offers would be bought - at lower prices. Same amount of VIP would still be bought for real money, but we would have less ingame money in circulation. Could be we would instead have more non-multi VIP players. Just a theory.

Maybe the people buying VIP offers would even have to spend more irl money to get the cash they need (not sure why anyone needs that much btw) if VIP prices were lower. Or the whole economy would see deflation and lower contract pay etc. as a result. But I have no idea really, I don't think this game has a working economy. But would be interesting to hear what others think on this.

In my opinion , the rule concerning multiple accounts should be strict and fair. The whole situation with managers using 2 or 3 different accounts in order to transfer money or hold a private gym for their main account should be put to an end ASAP ! All of their accounts should be deleted and not only the alts.

The recent Miss Miracle -Camara case is the tip of the iceberg. Its not only Camara who should be punished about it . There are many obvious cases ,such as the case of a top 5 ranked manager who is in the top 10 with 2 different accounts AND the leader of an alliance who also happens to own an ID restricted org .Especially the second guy is printing money for his main account through multiple companies and gyms. I agree with Mac .People having multiple account do not buy VIP ,they simply use their scam money and purchase VIP from the exchange .

To Mike, it doesn't matter who buys the VIP. Even though the multi accounts don't pay actual cash for the VIP days, they do use up the days that someone somewhere paid for. It really makes no difference to mister tycoon where the money comes from. More VIP accounts=more purchases by someone.

Exactly. Doesn't matter if every multi isn't paying Mike, somebody is and that's all he cares about.

And because of this, I say use as many multi accounts as much as you like. And if you can avoid the temptation to cheat, more power to you.

If the VIP was bought by real players instead some of them would spend more on fighter slots, sacks etc and burn through VIP faster than a multi would = more money for Mike. Should make some difference, but maybe not enough.

"If you can't beat em, join em" mentality...can't say I agree. Plus the good players will still outplay 99% of the cheaters in this game regardless :)

I just want more paying customers, or at least not less. Banning paying accounts isn't good for the health of the game. But I do enjoy the resulting forum drama.

I think this is the biggest problem holding back Mike from giving us two company slots. He would lose a fair bit of money solving the multi problem, unless he charged the same for having a second company as much as it costs to run a second account.

This assumes the VIP which would previously have been sold to the multi is now not sold at all. But what if it goes to the next highest bidder on the exchange?
