Fighter Interview: Jack "Captain" Sparrow

J.W. "Hello Jack, it's funny, I just got done interviewing the other Jack Sparrow. I guess y'all have split into two personalities.. because he's one of the smallest fighters in the HFC, and you're one of the heavyweights."

Jack "Ahoy there mate, ye be speaking a nobody, there be only one Jack Sparrow"

J.W. "Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to talk with me. I see you also have a fight this weekend against Kirill

Semenov, how do you feel going into this fight?"

Jack "Ay, very busy, drinking, pillaging and whoring! Is that his name? I do not pay heed to names, my only focus is winning. I feel strong and ready."

J.W. "Semenov is a pretty well rounded fighter, but he's coming off two strait losses. You hold an impressive 5-1 record and are riding a 3 fight win streak. There seem to be a lot of critics on the fence about who will win this fight. Would you like to clear that up for them?"

Jack "Is he now, well I am a beast and a force to be reckoned with. Nay sayers will see soon enough that this fence you speak of was never there and anyone doubting me will soon have to stuff it."

J.W. "You have had a pretty good career here at HFC going 4-1 in your HFC fights. Your only loss was a title fight against Bizi, but you've bounced back in a big way since then. Assuming you win the fight this weekend, how far away do you feel you are from being in title contention again?"

Jack "Assuming? You mean when I win...Title contention is exactly where I should be, I wont lose again to Bizi.... or anyone."

J.W. "Speaking of the HFC, how do you like the organization? They seem to be growing and expanding and gathering a whole network of sponsors and private gyms, is this the place to be these days?"

Jack "HFC is doing well, I am satisfied here. Wont consider leaving either."

J.W. "You finished 2 of your last 3 fights by doctor stoppage due to cutting your opponent. This seems fitting as the HFC prides it's first blood fights and the sight of bloody warriors throwing down in the cage. Do you feel you pack the hardest punch in the HFC?"

Jack "I pack the hardest punch in the world and my elbows are like razor blades. Expect to get bloodied when facing me. Dont expect to survive...."

J.W. "Your reputation proceeds you and you are making a name for yourself in the HFC. Not only with the fighters, but the fans have taken notice too. Do you have any words for the HFC fans you will be fighting in front of Saturday?"

Jack "I am humbled and will always do my best to give the fans what they want, blood and hardcore fights."

J.W. "As far as your upcoming opponent, Semenov, any last words for him before you guys square off?"

Jack "Cover your face, or risk losing it."

J.W. "Lets dig a little deeper into the man behind the fighter. Who is the real Jack Sparrow? Tell us about yourself away from the cage?"

Jack "Not much to tell, I train, I fight, I drink.. Why do you care? As long as I bring blood to the octagon everyone should be happy, well apart from whoever faces me.."

J.W. "Care to elaborate on your nickname, how you got it? I don't see a space ship parked outside."

Jack "No, I dont care to elaborate, I am a captain, I own a ship. Just because you cannot see it does not mean it is not there."

J.W. "So if you win this fight this weekend, who do you think you would like to take on next? Some think you have earned a right to be considered a contender, others think you're just on a lucky streak. From what I've seen, you're the real deal. Who would you like to fight next?"

Jack "There is no if here, you mean when. Also, who are these people who think I am on a lucky streak, please put them in the octagon with me. But to answer the question, I dont care who I face, as long as it is a title fight next."

J.W. "Thank you very much for your time Jack, I appreciate it! I look forward to seeing the fight this weekend and how you fare. Good luck to you!"
