StrikeForce Union #1 Bryant vs Lucas

16/01/2016

Paddy O’Malleys Bar

London

This is the first event in this Organisation and what a brilliant card we have for you. The fights i am going to preview for you conclude of battles between:

Angus Bryant vs Steve Lucas

Magnus Looped vs Jeff Roberts

Kenneth Ank vs Jimmy Riddle

Rhszard Kormoran vs Ling Manchu

Crusher Breaker vs Vincenzo Crescenzo

Elwin Allen vs Botond Robert

Machtyn Ulisses vs John Winkle

Jose Hernandez vs Djin Kvasir

Nathan Gribbin vs Givi Zurabovich

Orjan Ank vs Rico Cole

Orjan Ank vs Rico Cole

In the first fight on the card is a battle between 19 year old Norwegian Wrestler Orjan Ank facing off against 18 year old Portuguese Muay Thai specialist Rico Cole. Orjan will want to earn a second win in a row after beating Nathan DiCaprio by a Kamura submission in the first round in a QFC while Rico Cole hasn’t competed at a professional level yet but his skills in Muay Thai make him a hot prospect and training in T-Troid gym he should soon have the credentials to be a top fighter.

Orjan Ank has not got the best skills in Boxing and Muay Thai but his Wrestling is great and he has a Blue Belt, some training in the right areas could become crucial in this fighters future and be decisive in his future success. Rico Cole meanwhile has just as bad skills in boxing but his Muay Thai is exceptional, His Wrestling is in need of much work and he only has a White Belt in BJJ so he will be looking to keep the fight at a distance.

Orjan has a record of 2 Wins and 4 Losses and as discussed before this is Rico’s first fight at a top level so he is stepping into the unknown here. I think Rico will make good of his professional debut and he will win here and start his career at StrikeForce Union, I feel that his Muay Thai is that great he will be able to keep Orjan away from his strong Wrestling and Rico will pick him apart placing his shots carefully. Second round K.O for Rico Cole.

Nathan Gribbin vs Givi Zurabovich

In the second fight of the event brings together 22 year old Canadian Boxer Nathan Gribbin and he will be facing Georgian 19 year old Givi Zurabovich. Nathan will be looking for a second win in a row to keep him unbeaten after a first round K.O win against Carmen Avery in the QFC while will also be looking for a second win in a row after a decision victory against Dave Zaranka in the QFC after losing in a QFC tournament a little prior to that.

Nathan Gribbin has superb abilities in Boxing. His Muay Thai is nonexistent but his Wrestling is good but he only holds a White Belt in BJJ so he will defiantly be looking to keep the fight standing and only wrestle if he needs to, Givi Zurabovich has terrible Boxing but his Muay Thai and Wrestling are respectable but he also has a White Belt in BJJ so this fight is for you stand up fighting fans.

Nathan has a record of 1 Win and 0 Losses so he will be hoping to carry on unbeaten while Givi has a record of 1 Win and 1 Loss so Giri will be looking to make his record more positive and turn earning victories into a habit, I think Nathan Gribbin’s Boxing will be enough to see him through this fight, i think he will be able to get inside the distance that Givi will try and keep with his Muay Thai and punch freely at Giri. First round K.O for Nathan Gribbin

Jose Hernandez vs Djin Kvasir

In the Third fight on the card brings together Spanish Boxing 25 year old Jose Hernandez. Standing opposite him ready for war is the Submission Specialist 19 year old from Portugal Dijn Kvasir, Jose will want to return to winning ways after losing in his last fight to YongLong le at MMA Gods 40 on the third of this month, While Dijn will need to get a win after losing his last 4 fights in a row in the QFC, he needs to get that win under his belt to regain confidence.

Jose has very good Boxing but slightly falls short in his abilities in Muay Thai and Wrestling and he currently holds a Blue Belt in BJJ while Djin doesn’t really have a stand up game, his Boxing and Muay Thai is shocking and his wrestling isn’t great but he holds a purple belt in BJJ, I Believe some much needed training in the right areas could prove crucial in Dijn’s future fights.

Jose has a record of 3 Wins and 3 Losses so another win will give him a positive record, while Djin has a record of 4 Wins and 7 Losses so a needed win will provide him with confidence and bring his closer to levelling his concerning record. I believe Jose Hernandez has enough about him to pile on the misery on Dijn Kvasir. At every opportunity Dijn will try to take Jose down and Jose will be wise to this and just place his punches and earn the win. First round K.O for Jose

Machtyn Ulisses vs John Winkle

As we near the half way point on the card here is my preview for the forth fight on the card. A battle between 18 year old Lithuanian unbeaten Machtyn facing off against Irish 18 year old John Winkle. Machtyn will be looking to earn a straight third win after earning decision victories over Lionel Kline and Jeramy Murray in the QFC. This is John Winkles debut to professional fighting so it will be interesting to see how he copes under the pressure of Fight Night.

Machtyn has very respectable Boxing but his Muay Thai is shocking, his Wrestling is in need of much work and he holds a Blue Belt in BJJ while John Winkle will be looking to have a fight on the floor as he has no stand up game. His Boxing and Muay Thai is nothing short of diabolical he can’t wrestle either. The only thing that makes him a top fighter is his BJJ where he has a very nice Brown Belt which will sure be black I know.

Machtyn has a record of 2 Wins and 0 Losses and as previously discussed John Winkle has never competed at this level before. I think Winkle is not going to enjoy his debut very much. Although his ground game is spectacular you have to be able to get your opponent down to be able to show your ground game skills. He sure wont knock Machtyn down as his stand up game is terrible and Machtyn could out wrestle Winkle with his eyes shut. First round K.O for Machtyn Ulisses.

Elwin Allen vs Botond Robert

At the halfway point of the card brings together a battle between 22 year old American Elwin Allen facing off against Hungarian 25 year old Botond Robert. Elwin will be looking to earn a second straight win on his debut for StrikeForce Union while Botond will want to earn a fourth straight win after 3 straight first round wins by KO/TKO.

Elwin Allen’s Boxing and Muay Thai is bad but his Wrestling is amazing but he only holds a White Belt in BJJ, while Botond has very strong Boxing but useless in Muay Thai his Wrestling isn’t too bad and he has a Blue Belt in BJJ. So this is a fight of Striker vs Grappler and I for one can’t wait for it.

Elwin has a record of 1 Win and 0 Losses while Botond has a record of 3 Wins and 0 Losses so both fighters will want to remain unbeaten but i think the fighter to emerge victorious will be Botond Robert, his experience and his striking skills are amazing and far better than Elwin’s, Elwin will need to work on his Stand up game for future fights, I believe Botond will have this fight cleared up quick. Another first round K.O, so to clarify Botond Robert to win by K.O.

Crusher Breaker vs Vincenzo Crescenzo

In the sixth fight on the card brings together 22 year old Portuguese Submission specialist Crusher Breaker facing off against 25 year old Italian Wrestler Vincenzo Crescenzo, Crusher will want to put a end to a two fight losing streak on his debut here at StrikeForce Union while on the other side of the of the cage Vincenzo will want to earn a third straight win and maintain his unbeaten record,

Crusher has terrible Boxing and Muay Thai and not great Wrestling and holds a Purple Belt in BJJ and Vincenzo has terrible Boxing and Muay Thai as well but his wrestling is fantastic and he holds a Blue Belt in BJJ. Some much needed work in the gym wouldn’t go a miss for these guys. The future could be bright for both!

Crusher has a record of 6 Wins and 12 Losses and he has been knocked out 8 times in that cluster of Losses but all 6 of his wins have been by spectacular submission. While Vincenzo has a record of 2 Wins and 0 Losses earning both of his wins by K.O, I think Crusher will get the victory here, I feel that Vincenzo will feel he has to use his Wrestling to make a chance of winning this fight and at some point Crusher Breaker will successfully trip him down and tap him out, im going for a third round submission win for Vincenzo Crescenzo.

Rhszard Kormoran vs Ling Manchu

Seven fights in on the card and it’s a fight between Polish 18 year old Muay Thai Practitioner Rhszard Kormoran against 22 year old Portuguese wrestler Ling Manchu, Rhszard will be looking to earn his first win after losing his last fight to Robin Graves in a QFC fight while Ling will be looking to earn a victory after losing his last two fights in a row both by K.O in the first round in the QFC.

Rhszard has terrible boxing but his Muay Thai is exceptional, His Wrestling is poor and he only holds a White Belt in BJJ but his Muay Thai should keep him out of trouble, Ling Manchu has shocking Boxing and Muay Thai, His Wrestling is good and he holds a Blue Belt in BJJ, Its Lings will to fight anyone anyplace anywhere which makes him such a asset to any org regardless of his shakey record.

Rhszard has a record of 0 Wins and 1 Loss but its only a matter of time before he and his manager get things right in the gym and the results show in the cage while Ling has a record of 8 Wins and 21 Losses. I think Rhszard will earn his first victory here against a worthy opponent who has been there and done it, I think his Muay Thai will keep him out of trouble and he will Win the fight by Decision. So Clarification Rhszard Koromoran to win by decision,

Kenneth Ank vs Jimmy Riddle

In the eighth fight is a war between 19 year old Norwegian Kenneth Ank facing off against English Hard Hitting 25 year old Jimmy Riddle. Ank will be looking to put a end to a four fight losing streak while Jimmy is looking to keep his 3 fight winning streak rolling after K.O wins all in the first round, in his first 3 fights his in cage time is 1 minute and 22 seconds!

Kenneth isn’t great anywhere to be fair. He is fairly decent across the board but doesn’t shine in any specific area at all. Some serious gym time would do this fighter the world of good while Jimmy Riddle has terrible Boxing but his Muay Thai is exceptional, he has terrible Wrestling and a Blue Belt in BJJ so he will be looking to keep the fight on the feet.

Kenneth has a record of 2 Wins and 6 Losses, both wins coming from decision and Jimmy has a record of 3 Wins and 0 Losses, I cant see this fight reaching 30 seconds in my opinion, Jimmy Riddle will win this fight quite easily by K.O within 30 seconds of round 1. So to clarify Jimmy Riddle to win by K.O in the first round.

Magnus Looped vs Jeff Roberts

In the Co Main event of the evening brings together 25 year old American Magnus Looped will fight 24 year old Portuguese 2 time fight of the night and 1 time K.O of the night winner former ECFC Welterweight Champion Jeff Roberts. Magnus will want to earn a third straight win after impressive wins at Ultra 1 and QFC while Jeff Roberts will want to earn a fifth straight victory and get his hands on StrikeForce Union gold as the winner of this fight will fight for the title.

Magnus has decent Boxing but terrible Muay Thai, great Wrestling and holds a Blue Belt in BJJ while Jeff Roberts has a terrible Boxing and Muay Thai but his Wrestling is beyond belief its so good. He also holds a Blue Belt in BJJ. So i think this is going to be a grappling match if im honest.

Magnus has a record of 2 Wins and 1 Loss and Jeff has a record of 6 Wins and 1 Loss. I think Jeff Roberts will emerge victorious in this fight, i feel this will turn into a grappling match straight away and Jeff is simply the better wrestler, That’s the only way you can split them as they are very similar elsewhere, Third round TKO for Jeff Roberts.

Angus Bryant vs Steve Lucas

Main Event time! In the main event brings to blows Scottish 25 year old Angus Bryant facing off against 21 year old American Sub of the night winner Steve Lucas. Angus will be looking to earn a second straight victory while Steve will be looking to extend his winning streak to 4 straight wins in succession.

Angus has shockingly bad Boxing but his Muay Thai makes up for it, his Muay Thai is beautiful, his Wrestling is respectable but he only has a White Belt in BJJ. Steve Lucas has terrible boxing, Substandard Muay Thai and not the best Wrestling but holds a Purple Belt in BJJ so he will more than likely be looking to take this fight to the floor where he excels most.

Angus has a record of 1 Wins and 0 Losses and would like to get into a winning habit and a win against Steve would surely leave him with a bright future in the org. Steve has a record of 4 Wins and 1 Loss and wants to cement himself in the org as a force not to reckoned with and a steady win over such a great Muay Thai Practitioner would go a long way.

I think Angus will pull a surprise out the bag and earn the victory on the night, I think his Muay Thai is at such a level he will keep Steve at a distance where he just can’t take him down and even if he does get close to Angus he will lose the wrestling battle as Angus beats Steve wrestling no problem statistically. Third round K.O win for Angus Bryamt.

So That is the first event for StrikeForce Union and it promises to be a great one, I will take this org to the top that’s for sure. Thanks to everyone that has helped me with this org and made it possible and thank you to all the managers in StrikeForce Union for your patience and understanding!

Angus Bryant (286518)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/31/31b3.jpg

We're live here with Fight of the night Winner Angus Bryant. Angus, how are you feeling right now?

First of all I want to thank StrikeForce Union for seeing in me what no one else did. They say to be the best you have to beat the best and tonight I did just that.

Steve Lucas' four wins had all come via submission. Was that something you were worried about going into the fight?

Definitely. We knew the takedown attempts were coming. Steve is a great fighter and it got a little worrying at times on the ground. But we had our gameplan.

You immediately called for a Title shot. Do you think you are ready?
In all seriousness, I'm just happy to be here. I have never turned down a fight. That's not my style. There are some great fighters in this 185lb division and I just beat one of them for three rounds.
Talking about this division. Do you see Botond Robert as the fighter to beat?
I like to call him Botond Robot. He certainly is one of the best out there and no doubt our paths will cross at some point in the future. Whether that's our next fight or maybe further down the line well that's up to Mr. Cambridge and the organisation.
Thanks Angus, congrats on tonight's win.

Thanks.

Paddy O’Malleys Bar

London
This is my first time writing a preview and it is an honour to do so because ladies and gentlemen, we have a great event lined up for you. Without further ado:

Marcus Pereira vs Davie Joyce
Botond Robert vs Harry Winston

Dmitry Boitsov vs Akoni Gray

Magnus Looped vs John Winkle
Djin Kvasir vs Henry Collins
Dre Gore vs Vincenzo Crescenzo
Angus Bryant vs Jacob Frye
Jeff Roberts vs Jose Hernandez
Rodney Smith vs Nathan Griffin

Jeremy Hammond vs Remus Sala

Jeremy Hammond (MMA 0-1-0 , SFU 0-0-0) vs Remus Sala (MMA 1-0-0 , SFU 0-0-0)
We kick off proceedings with the lightest division and two SFU debut fighters looking to make an impression. These fighters experienced very different starts to their careers with Hammond losing via a unanimous decision and Sala destroying his opponent in the first round via TKO. It is Hammond however that is clearly the better boxer here and needs to stamp his authority from the onset. He has the power. More power than Snap! But his opponent from Romania has a significant height advantage that cannot be overlooked. Sala's 172cm to Hammond's 160cm could very well affect the outcome of this fight. Since his MMA debut loss, Hammond has been seen training at the illustrious London MMA Club as he pushes on, looking for that first win. We don't think he gets it here though. Remus Sala has shown a level of technique far beyond his 18 years. This kid is going places but to get there he will have to go through Jeremy Hammond first.
Dave's Prediction: Remus Sala via Unanimous Decision
Rodney Smith (MMA 5-0-0 , SFU 0-0-0) vs Nathan Griffin (MMA 2-0-1 , SFU 1-0-1)
It is always exciting when an undefeated fighter steps into the cage and even more exciting when #1 meets #2 in the weight division. The signing of Rodney Smith is a great coup for SFU but there will be no honeymoon period as he will come face to face with Fight of the Night winner and SFU veteran Nathan Griffin. This will be Griffin's third fight with SFU in as many events. He has been here since the beginning and has established his dominance in the 155lbs division. Critics suggest that Rodney Smith has only fought "bums" up to this point but you can only beat what is put in front of you. And Smith has done just that. Each and every time. The crowd may prove to be a major factor in this one as Smith fights in front of his hometown. He is a submission specialist winning four out of his five wins in such a manner and we believe the streak will continue at SFU #3.
Dave's Prediction: Rodney Smith via Submission
Jeff Roberts (MMA 7-2-0 , SFU 1-1-0) vs Jose Hernandez (MMA 4-4-0 , SFU 1-1-0)
Jeff Roberts loves to fight. He is a wrestler and a former champion in the Elite Canadian Fighting Championship. It remains to be seen whether he can recapture past glories here at StrikeForce Union. Not only did he become a champion but he went on to defend his belt twice and never lost it, only for the company to close down. Both of these fighters lost at SFU #2 to a submission and will be looking to get back on track with a win here. In a stacked 170lbs division, Roberts can propel himself towards a title shot with a victory over Hernandez. This is Portugal vs. Spain folks. A bitter rivalry since the 18th century. Rumours have it that thousands of Spaniards will be making the trip to London in support of Hernandez and most of which will be women. Jose "Womanizer" Hernandez will be hoping that they will find their way to his hotel room and he can fight his way to a victory.
Dave's Prediction: Jeff Roberts via TKO
Angus Bryant (MMA 2-1-0 , SFU 1-1-0) vs Jacob Frye (MMA 0-1-0 , SFU 0-0-0)
It's muay thai vs. boxing. It's Scotland vs. England. Two fighters with very good chins in what is going to be an all out war. Angus Bryant will be looking to move on from the humiliating first round loss to inaugural champ Botond Robert in his last fight. He talked the talk but he certainly did not walk the walk. If he is looking for an easy comeback fight, he doesn't have one here. Jacob Frye is a remarkable boxer and has been training hard since he decided to become a fighter at just eighteen years old. Now nineteen, Frye has a chance to continue his learning curve against a former title challenger. It will be interesting to see how the 38 second KO affected Bryant going forward. When you get knocked out that fast that brutally, something changes within you. You hesitate. And that may just be enough for Frye to pull off the win.
Dave's Prediction: Jacob Frye via Unanimous Decision
Dre Gore (MMA 2-1-0 , SFU 0-0-0) vs Vincenzo Crescenzo (MMA 3-1-0 , SFU 1-1-0)
Dre Gore was never supposed to be here. Ten years ago he was on the streets of London, looking for a job. And now ten years later he will be fighting an important, meaningful fight at SFU #3. A fight that will have repercussions for the 205lbs division. Everyone told him he wouldn't make it as a fighter. He has fought in car parks. Basements. But he has never fought Vincenzo Crescenzo. All three of Crescenzo's wins have come via TKO and the Italian's superb wrestling skills should see him through this fight in similar fashion.
Dave's Prediction: Vincenzo Crescenzo via TKO
Djin Kvasir (MMA 4-8-0 , SFU 0-1-0) vs Henry Collins (MMA 4-1-0 , SFU 0-0-0)
"...and I will strike you down..." David said to Goliath. The famous story of the underdog. Fast forward to SFU #3 and we have another David vs. Goliath scenario. Henry Collins is meant to win this fight. He is one of the best fighters on the SFU roster and it is surely only a matter of time before he gets his title shot. Sometimes that pressure can be too great for a man. Complacency starts to creep in and you present opportunities to your opponent. Kvasir is no pushover. He recently went on a four fight win-streak winning all four via submission. Both fighters are purple belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu so Kvasir "The Snake" may have to find another way to win this time. Collins is a former champion at the now defunct Red Star Fighting picking up two Of The Night awards in the process. Training at one of the best gyms in London, Red Tri-Angle, Collins is ready to stake his claim as the best.
Dave's Prediction: Henry Collins via KO
Magnus Looped (MMA 3-2-0 , SFU 1-1-0) vs John Winkle (MMA 2-0-0 , SFU 2-0-0)
At SFU #1 John Winkle won the Sub of the Night award. At SFU #2 Magnus Looped won the Sub of the Night award. That's right ladies and gentlemen, this will be a fantastic fight. These fighters have a common past opponent in Jeff Roberts but only Winkle managed to win. At 2-0-0 and with both fights coming in SFU, Winkle is off to a great start with the organisation. He may feel slightly aggrieved by being ranked lower than the very fighter he beat not long ago. If he wins this fight, it will be a crushing blow to his critics. But it just feels like Looped has more tools at his disposal. He is the superior boxer and wrestler in this match-up.
Dave's Prediction: Magnus Looped via Submission
Dmitry Boitsov (MMA 0-0-0 , SFU 0-0-0) vs Akoni Gray (MMA 0-1-0 , SFU 0-0-0)
In Gray's previous and sole fight, he did not see the spinning backfist coming. And now at SFU #3 he does not know what to look for because Dmitry Boitsov is an unknown quantity. Without a single fight to his name, Boitsov will be looking to explode on the MMA scene. We have to believe that he will want this fight to play out on the ground where his brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu will help. Even though Gray has fought before, it was only for thirty seconds. He did not get the chance to showcase his talent and what a talent it is. His muay thai is wonderful. He is a competent boxer. And is even proficient at wrestling. All this at the age of just nineteen years old.
Dave's Prediction: Akoni Gray via Unanimous Decision
Botond Robert (MMA 5-0-0 , SFU 2-0-0) vs Harry Winston (MMA 3-0-0 , SFU 1-0-0)
Yes Botond Robert is the Middleweight Champion but perhaps more importantly, he is the face of StrikeForce Union right now. Our first champion and a great one at that. He has an army of followers that only grew with his devastating knockout of Angus Bryant at SFU #2. The Hungarian is an unlikely champion. He still trains at the relatively inexpensive Cozad Amsterdam and chooses to avoid the flashy clothes that other fighters opt for. His purpose isn't to look good. It's to win. And he has managed to do just that throughout his career thus far. Harry "Opie" Winston can relate. He is also undefeated after three fights winning twice via TKO and once via submission. It's this versatile approach that makes him one of the best fighters in SFU and a genuine threat to the champion's reign. If Robert exudes a relaxed nature, Winston is the polar opposite with his sheer determination to win. He will stop at nothing to win such is his desire to be the best. Somebody's '0' must go folks and whoever has the belt around their waist would have fully deserved it.
Dave's Prediction: Botond Robert via Unanimous Decision http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20160104200112rsz_pizapcom14519372242052.jpg
Marcus Pereira (MMA 5-0-0 , SFU 0-0-0) vs Davie Joyce (MMA 1-1-0 , SFU 0-0-0)
Fans have been looking forward to this moment ever since Marcus Pereira signed for StrikeForce Union and now we finally get to see him in action in our Co-Main Event. Pereira is the #1 P4P fighter within the organisation and enters with a lot of hype. Will he live up to it? He is a gigantic hippopotamus of a man weighing in at 324 lbs. We can judge his weight all day long but the fact is, nobody has been able to beat him up to this point. He is surprisingly quick for such a large man and is a pleasure to watch fight. The crowd at Paddy O'Malleys Bar should enjoy it while they can because at one point it looked like we will never see Pereira fight again. Doctors told him he should retire due to high levels of cholesterol. A few years later and a change in manager, Pereira is back. Not only has he won every fight via submission, but his opponent has never made it past the first round. Enter Davie Joyce. This fighter can do it all with competent boxing and muay thai as well as a decent ground game. To be the best you have to beat the best and Joyce will be looking to do just that at SFU #3. Can he write his name in the history books?
Dave's Prediction: Marcus Pereira via Submission.

Wild Bob's Bar
London
Ladies and gentlemen, another StrikeForce Union Champion will be revealed in the cage this evening. Who is worthy of the crown? Who is willing to sacrifice it all for the title? This event is brought to you by Machine Fight Gear. Once again, here is Dave Ashbourne with your event preview:

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1456158396StrikeForce%20Union%204.jpg
Jimmy Riddle vs Grizzly Adams Jr
Elwin Allen vs Sergey Sklemin
Hale Storm vs Lareneg Asap
Jackson Teller vs Paul Starker
Ling Manchu vs Kenneth Ank
Darren Crowley vs Reginald Kray
Crusher Breaker vs Spike Reaper
Peter Larsson vs Harvey Pennyworth
Otavio Madruga vs John Winkle
Orjan Ank vs Rico Cole
Orjan Ank (MMA 4-4-0 , SFU 2-0-0) vs Rico Cole (MMA 0-1-1 , SFU 0-1-1)
StrikeForce Union #4 kicks off with a rematch. The last time these two fighters met, Rico Cole tapped out from a kimura. Orjan Ank has won his last three fights with the very same submission move - the kimura - and all within the first round. But just because you can predict it, doesn't mean you can prevent it. In the first fight, Ank attempted six takedowns in a span of two minutes and eventually got his opponent onto the floor and tapping out. He is improving every single day at the London MMA Club and is undefeated in SFU competition with two wins in as many fights. What makes Ank's performances even more impressive up to this point, is that he hasn't even called upon his natural KO power - something he was lauded for back in his days as an amateur fighter. Yes none of his wins have come via KO but the threat of knocking out his opponents is always there. On the other hand we have Rico Cole who is down but not out at 0-1-1. He can definitely win this rematch and is determined to do just that. His wonderful muay thai skills were on full display at SFU #2 as he took home the Fight of the Night award in the majority draw versus Nathan Griffin. Cole will feel slightly aggrieved by that judging decision because many in the crowd that night thought he had done enough for the win. Fast forward to this fight and we have one of the closest and toughest fights to call. A win for either fighter will have huge repercussions for the division and both fighters are at an early crossroads in their career. Orjan Ank. Rico Cole. Both fighters can really push forward with a win here. Otherwise, it's a step back down the weight class rankings.
Dave's Prediction: Rico Cole via Unanimous Decision
Otavio Madruga (MMA 1-0-0 , SFU 0-0-0) vs John Winkle (MMA 2-1-0 , SFU 2-1-0)
John Winkle went into his last fight 2-0-0 only to get destroyed in what has to be one of the fastest knockouts of all time - 5 seconds. Immediately people started questioning his ability and Winkle knows he has to get right back into the cage and prove that he is not just a one hit wonder. But if he was looking for an easy win, he's not going to get it here. Otavio Madruga has no weaknesses. A wonderful muay thai artist. A solid chin. And the ability to win this fight in devastating fashion, just like he did in his debut. The 170 lbs division is still looking for its champion. Madruga knows he can put himself right into the title conversation with an impressive win here. Both men are fighting towards something. Madruga the contender. Winkle the avenger. Who will prevail in this key Welterweight match-up?
Dave's Prediction: Otavio Madruga via KO
Crusher Breaker (MMA 7-13-0 , SFU 1-1-0) vs Spike Reaper (MMA 6-17-0 , SFU 0-1-0)
If they are not the best fighters on the roster, they certainly have the best names. Two MMA veterans lock horns in this match-up with the the focus likely to be on the ground game. Both fighters have won most of their fights via submission and in Breaker's case, all of his wins came via submission. He has the superior BJJ game with a purple belt to Reaper's blue belt. Breaker managed to beat Vincenzo Crescenzo in SFU #1 something that Reaper was unable to do in SFU #2. These fighters have the same manager - Edy Sok. These fighters train at the same gym - The Fortress. Both fighters are low on morale at the moment and in desperate need of a win. So as we can see, there are plenty of similarities between these two fighters. One of them is going to have to go the extra mile in order to separates themselves and win this fight. At the end of the day, it may come down to whichever fighter wants it more.
Dave's Prediction: Crusher "Destroyer" Breaker via Submission
Darren Crowley (MMA 0-2-0 , SFU 0-1-0) vs Reginald Kray (MMA 6-5-0 , SFU 1-0-0)
Crowley gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Kray gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! This was the scene at SFU #2 as Reginald Kray ran through Darren Crowley in the first minute of the first round. Because of such a decisive victory last time round, many feel that there should not be an immediate rematch. One man that disagrees with that notion is Darren Crowley. He has been training hard at Highland Brawl Academy in an attempt to redeem himself. He knows he has to get his opponent to the ground. He also knows his career hangs in the balance with a loss here. Reginald "Reggie" Kray is an enigma. He won his first five fights. Then when his manager disappeared from the fight scene, he lost his next five fights under new management until beating Crowley in his last fight. Which Kray will turn up at SFU #4? The Kray that knocked out his opponent in 25 seconds? Or the Kray that got knocked out in 23 seconds?
Dave's Prediction: Reginald "Reggie" Kray via KO
Ling Manchu (MMA 9-21-0 , SFU 1-0-0) vs Kenneth Ank (MMA 2-7-0 , SFU 0-1-0)
The dragon is a legendary creature, heavily featured in the myths of many cultures. There is the European dragon. There is the Chinese dragon. The dragon from Game of Thrones. And then there is Ling "The Dragon" Manchu. Ling is a sleeping giant that has been awakened by StrikeForce Union. In his debut at SFU #1 he destroyed his opponent via TKO, showcasing just how good he can be. His wrestling allows him to get into positions where he can do some serious damage. Kenneth Ank's SFU debut ended in a 41 second knockout loss. In fact, he has been knocked out in the first round of his last three fights. These two fighters know each other quite well having both been training at The Fortress gym. Ank can use his good kicks to keep a distance and work his way towards a unanimous decision. This could be the moment he turns his career around.
Dave's Prediction: Kenneth Ank via Unanimous Decision
Jackson Teller (MMA 5-0-0 , SFU 0-0-0) vs Paul Starker (MMA 0-0-0 , SFU 0-0-0)
Jackson Teller has one of the biggest right hands in the business. A recent change in management has not slowed him down. There was also the decision to move down to the heavyweight weight class. Before that, he was knocking out super heavyweights in super fashion. Now with StrikeForce Union, he will be making his much anticipated debut against another SFU debutant - Paul Starker. We don't know much about Starker. But all that could be about to change if he pulls off the upset here at SFU #4. There comes a time in everyone's life where they have to make the best out of their opportunities. For Starker, that moment is at Wild Bob's Bar on the 5th March 2016. He is clearly the underdog but that does not phase him. In fact, he revels in his underdog status. As the old adage goes, you have to beat the best to be the best. Teller may want to stick around for the main event tonight - the heavyweight championship match. The prospect of a fight between Jackson Teller and Jimmy Riddle has SFU fans drooling but the former can't afford to get complacent here. It would be a mistake to completely write off Starker. Look past Starker and you may not see the knockout punch coming.
Dave's Prediction: Jackson Teller via KO
Hale Storm (MMA 0-1-0 , SFU 0-0-0) vs Lareneg Asap (MMA 1-0-0 , SFU 0-0-0)
Here we have the youngest fighter at StrikeForce Union. At just seventeen years old - I repeat, seventeen years old - Lareneg Asap is the wonderkid. The kid that everybody wants to be at school. The kid that is about to step into a cage with a man that wants to kill him. What were we doing when we were seventeen years old? In his short career thus far, Asap has already faced adversity. This is no pretty boy. His debut fight was as challenging as it gets. Asap was cut immediately. One minute later he was rocked by a straight left hand down the middle. Yet he still managed to walk away with a win that was fully deserved. Such is his determination. Both Asap and Storm excel in muay thai. Even though Storm lost his debut fight he was very much in with a chance of winning on the judges cards and will be looking to bounce back here. All of the focus is on Asap which may play into Storm's hands.
Dave's Prediction: Lareneg Asap via Unanimous Decision
Peter Larsson (MMA 2-0-0 , SFU 0-0-0) vs Harvey Pennyworth (MMA 5-2-0 , SFU 0-0-0)
We can tell you one thing with certainty about this fight, it will not go the distance. Nine fights. Nine finishes. This is sure to be an explosive fight and is a potential Fight of the Night candidate. Pennyworth is the hometown hero and he's going to need all the help he can get from the crowd because Peter Larsson is the latest hot prospect of the Light Heavyweight division. Larsson the boxer. Pennyworth the muay thai artist. Experts tend to side with the muay thai fighter in these match-ups but Larsson is no ordinary boxer. He has steamrolled past his first two opponents knocking both out in the first round. This is sure to be a great fight. Don't blink. Don't go to the toilet. Otherwise you may miss the fireworks.
Dave's Prediction: Peter Larsson via KO
Elwin Allen (MMA 1-2-0 , SFU 0-2-0) vs Sergey Sklemin (MMA 2-0-0 , SFU 0-0-0)
Sergey Sklemin is undoubtedly the best boxer in the organisation, he is exceptional. That is not an exaggeration, this kid is the real deal folks. He became a champion at his previous organisation at just nineteen years old. He took on an undefeated fighter for the title and knocked him out within the first minute. And if that isn't enough hype, he is ranked higher than recent SFU champion Botond Robert. Did I mention that this kid is the real deal? Elwin Allen did go three rounds with Botond Robert but left the cage defeated. In fact, this will be the third undefeated fighter that Allen will face in SFU. Three SFU fights against three undefeated SFU fighters. He certainly does not back away from a challenge. Many fans believe Sklemin could trouble Harry Winston in a championship match but he would need to beat Allen here first. Finishing Allen would go a long way in helping Sklemin gain more recognition. But there is one area that Allen can dominate Sklemin with the right gameplan. The American has wonderful wrestling skills and should concentrate on utilizing them down the stretch in order to have any chance of winning this one. If Allen loses again here, he is in danger of being a good fighter that always falls short of being great. A Michael Bisping. Did I mention that Sergey Sklemin is the real deal?
Dave's Prediction: Sergey Sklemin via KO
Jimmy Riddle (MMA 5-0-0 , SFU 2-0-0) vs Grizzly Adams Jr (MMA 3-3-0 , SFU 0-0-0)

Muhammad Ali. Mike Tyson. Randy Couture. Fedor. All former champions of the heavyweight division. All more special than the average fighter. Jimmy Riddle and Grizzly Adams Jr want to add their names to that list but they have to win this fight here tonight. One of those legends has something in common with Riddle who has won all five of his fights so far via knockouts in the first round. If Mike Tyson is the baddest man on the planet, Jimmy Riddle is second in line and ready to take over. He burst onto the scene with a devastating knockout of Kenneth Ank in SFU #1. This is the #1 ranked heavyweight vs. the #3 heavyweight and it is sure to be a highlight reel of a fight. This may very well be the first time Riddle is taken outside the first round because like his father before him, Grizzly Adams Jr comes to fight. He is strong in both boxing and wrestling, two areas of weakness for Riddle. This is a fighter that is always improving. At CEFC Fight Night 54 he lost via submission to Butch Larson. When everybody else went home that night, Adams watched the tape and hit the Montreal Fighter's Gym. One month later he got his rematch and knocked out his nemesis in the first round. That's the kind of person Adams Jr is. That's the kind of person he needs to be to become a champion.
Dave's Prediction: Jimmy Riddle via KO

Haha there are so many good teenagers in SFU. Madruga is the #4 ranked Welterweight. Go for it!

He's got the potential but still very much a project.

Only reason why I accepted the fight was because Ryan kept bombarding me with fight offers despite being repeatedly told not to :P (I pretty much signed him as a favour to Ryan with the understanding that he'd wait at least a month before fighting him, so much for that... ;) ) so I guess persistence does pay off haha. But no, not even thinking about mounting a title challenge until he's ready to fight on a regular basis.

Paul Starker (288087)

"Tonight is the night I shock the world. Not only by beating the undefeated Jackson Teller but by destroying the so called best that SFU has to offer. I'm new around these parts but I'm not a yes man. I'm a here's-my-foot-in-your-face man. Were you named after that Sons of Anarchy show Jackson? Get on your bike son and ride as fast as you can in the opposite direction boyo. Iechyd fucking da!"
