I have been creating new fighters recently and when they arent slow learners they are much faster than i ever had in the past. I have also recently picked up some FA's who's skills are ridiculous. My older fighters skills never got as high as these fighters are. With skills as high as fighters can get now I just cant see the point in speeding it up. We would have to have decline set in much sooner.

Keep in mind that older fighters some still around has really fast training speeds at some point of their lives and also you have 2 new skills to train now also. I think the reason you see so many good skilled guys is the prevalence of private gyms and how easy it is to get money to fund one. Even really new managers have private gyms way more then in the past.

I didn't want to load this post with my opinions right off the bat, but I've decided to go ahead anyways.

I voted yes because I think with the two new skills, it makes the game an even more daunting task to train fighters. Now to be clear, I'm not talking about MMArmy sped up. What I was talking about would only be a slight increase. There are great arguments for and against so I'm just interested in hearing what everyone else thinks.

Ideally I'd like to see the gap on learning speed closed up some, it seems there is too big a gap from low to high to me.

Not sure the what the lowest is that you can get, but I have personally seen as low as 4.2 so I'm sure that isn't the bottom and I do believe the current top is 7.5.

Maybe close the gap down to 5.0 to 7.5 or something or whatever sounds reasonable to everyone

the game should be more diverse in my opinion. More martial arts, more physicals, maybe an official UFC organisation (not real fighters) to get the whole community together, following the top fighters and getting involved betting on them etc, and superfights within the UFC organisation ;p. That's all I want to see and more highstreet thinks but I have no ideas.

To answer your question, no I don't think learning speed should be sped up

I voted yes, but only by a little.. I can't really be arsed explaining exactly why right now but the bottom line is the pace of the game is making people leave or lose interest. I have heard from 3 different people (all VIP) in the last week or so saying that they are losing interest and might even leave due to the pace of the game. Something to think about. I even lost a little interest after I stopped playing for like 4-5 days.. gettin back into it wasn't easy

Due to the addition of the new skills I wouldn't mind a slight increase in training speed.

This. Speeding up the learning could possibly also keep couple more newer players around for longer IMO.

edit* Rory beat me into it.

I voted no, I like that the game rewards patience and I think the pacing we have now is perfect, possibly too fast. A fighter training well and taking on fights can peak at about 25/26, which is well ahead of schedule compared to real life fighters who tend to hit their best around 30-32 (depending on injuries).

i voted no right now just because it seems we never seem to give enough time for stuff to equal out or start working -- just now are age decline and injuries starting to really hurt fighters -- i wouldnt mind increase but i think we need to give 6 months or more for new stuff to show its effects and things will start to equal out -- i got couple older fighters dropping skills like crazy now -- the gap is getting smaller just need to let things work out some

I agree with this post as I would like time for things to work out a bit before we change them. I am in the same boat as PBR with my older fighters. I am not against speeding the training up but just not yet.

This could be something for VIPs...

I think it should be easier to train according to gameplans. After you set your sliders, there should be a tool to help you plan your training sessions. It should have the option to examine your opponents stats and give you feedback on how to plan training your defense.

Also if you do not have a fighter, it should give you advice on how to either fill gaps in you fighter's skills or to improve his current strengths.

It could be called: Gameplan Assistant

This would make gameplanning and training so much easier.

I see no need to make learning faster. However, I don't think the Tycoon Assistant is as helpful as it could be. Plus if this type of "Gameplan Assistant" is incorporated for VIP, it would definitely be a useful enough feature to convert people, and then allowing non-VIPs to look at the amount of people in a training/sparring session wouldn't be as big of a lost selling point for VIP, which would solve the problem discussed on another thread.

Am I making sense?

I suspect that changes in learning speed will have more to do with the length of in-game years than actual changes to the system.

A reduction to an 10 or even 8 week in-game year would give more instant gratification to players. Changing learning speed. in correlation would be an effective increase of 15 (or 33) percent without the current balances being altered.

However, such a change would require a huge amount of thought as the knock on effect would be massive, and should not even be considered until current changes have had ample time to bed in.

The speed was slightly increased when the 2 new skills were added, did no one notice that??

The argument that it will help keep newer managers around is so laughable.. What a slight increase in learning speed is going to help boost the training they are getting in a 5 person coached class.. Give me a break all speeding it up does is help established managers reach the skill cap quicker.

If you're going to ask for something at least be honest about your intentions instead of trying to play the sympathy card for new managers.

I'm voting no, although I love seeing my guys progress quickly I believe the current setup seems to be progressing nicely. I have the occasional downgrade of skills but then again most of my fighters are pretty young and just the ones not fighting that often seem to be the ones affected. I used to click fast learner for all my creations but have not done it lately and still get decent pops from my new guys

I would be bummed if they would be raised up again, I've used a lot of time on my current projects to get them where they are with the current learning speed.

And if you think that a slight raise in learning speed would make beginners stay, you're just being absurd. The guys who quit the game in 4-5 days dont care if their fighter goes from 1.0 to 7.0 or 9.0 skill points.
