PADDY O'MALLEY'S BAR & GRILL

THE ISLAND

SPONSORED BY:

VENUM MMA WEAR (5569)

Rise on the Island is back with some fantastic fights as fighters from around the world have appeared on the Island and now are going through the fights to stay alive and find a way home. They all feel that by winning may earn them the opportunity, so there is no holding back for anyone when the bell rings. Lets look at the top fights of the evening!

Main Event

185 LBS

Domenik "The Barbarian" Panayotov (341618) vs. Rush Sanchez (341557)

Two fighters who passed their 1st test in the cage advanced with a win will look to continue their streak as they will face each other in the main event at 185 lbs. Panayotov (1-0) is a dangerous striker who won by KO in his 1st fight. He has a solid chin and with good footwork and bobbing and weaving will need to keep his distance from from Sanchez in this fight. Panayotov landed at will and dominated his fight standing up and showed great discipline working on the ground using his wrestling skills to neutralize and improve his positioning to get back to his feet. His wrestling will be used more for breaking the clinch rather than getting off the ground against Sanchez. Rush Sanchez (1-0) won by decision, but was the more aggressive fighter showing his dominating skills in the thai clinch by landing 55 total strikes from the clinch and also a perfect 100 % in leg and body kicks out of the 7 he attempted. Sanchez does have a slight height and reach advantage in which he no doubt use those legs of his, and to weaken his opponents speed and agility where he wont be able to escape the clinch. If Panayotov can land often and early and defend the clinch attempts this will come down to the total strking ability and defense of punches vs kicks.

Prediction: Sanchez by TKO

145 LBS

Hogo "Hogmanizer" Sparky (341728) vs. Gianmarco "Jimmy" Lobosco (341740)

Both 25 year olds and both are in their debut with ROTI tonight. Sparky is the shorter fighter and will have a distinct leverage advantage to use his wrestling which is superior to Lobosco's and take this fight down. He has a purple belt in bjj, and will use this extensively to try to end the fight as Lobosco is adequate with a blue belt, but the longer the fight goes on the ground, the better the chances go for Sparky. One determining factor could be energy, as both managers have forgotten to rest up their fighters prior to the time, so Sparky and Lobosco are not 100% and this could change the fight as it unfolds.

Prediction: Sparky by Sub, armbar

145 LBS

Martin Eugen (341577) vs. Black "Venom" Mirez (341570)

Another debut fight for two 25 year olds as we have a classic stand up striker versus a grappler match up. Eugen is the shorter fighter, but he will have a hard time closing the distance with his opponent who is much taller than him and will have a reach advantage. Eugen has wonderful boxing, but will have to get in close and then move back out again to prevent Mirez from grappling with him and taking him down. Eugen will need to connect hard and fast, and as quickly in the early stages of this fight in my opinion. Mirez, also known as "Venom" will need to slip and avoid the more technical strikes of his opponent and will need to mix up his strategy from clinch to takedowns if he wants to get to the ground. He needs to be able to take some hits in order to get what he wants, and if he does succeed in getting the fight to the ground he should end it there as he has better wrestling and a purple belt in bjj over Eugen who will more or less be on a defensive mode there.

Prediction: Mirez by Sub, Kimura

155 LBS

Raymond "The Zirconia" Denkers (341692) vs. Tino "Scissors" Tropper (341711)

Two debuting fighters here at 25 years old. Both fighters look the same and there are some obvious style differences when you look at their training background. Denkers has a edge on muay thai and wrestling while Tropper counters with wrestling and jiu jitsu. Either fighter was willing to give details about their lives before the Island, and neither have fought yet so what indications there are is that this will be a war on the ground. If Denkers muay thai has good kicks, he could try to keep the fight standing and fight there with an advantage, but look for Tropper to get in close and get the fight down and let it be him with a more offensive mind set from the submission stand point. Denkers will need good defensive grappling and hope he can land some ground n pound or escape back to his feel to take the morale away from Tropper. Many ways in which this fight could end up depending on secondary abilities, physicals, and game plans.

Prediction: Denkers by Dec, he lands kicks and some clinch strikes, stabilizes the ground fight

170 LBS

Xtreme "Lost Cause" Islander (341514) vs. Darius "O2" Wolchow (341614)

Two debuting 25 year olds in this fight. Wolchow holds a slight reach and height advantage between them. Islander has better boxing and than Wolchow, and it is here he will look to attack and occupy the fight on the feet with his opponent. Wolchow has the superior wrestling but is almost just as good with muay thai as Islander, which I believe is the key to this fight. Many people would say, nahhh he is a wrestler and will win on the ground and perhaps so, but what we don't know is the hiddens and secondary abilities of these fighters just yet, and remember muay thai can mean a lot of different styles, it could be a stand up distance strikes with kicks or it could mean a clinch dirty boxing, or clinch with elbows or knees. Having superior wrestling will also help that clinch from being hard to break or escape from which could lead to a flashback of Anderson Silva defeating Rich Franklin in the UFC a decade ago where Franklin couldn't escape the clinch and ate knee after knee after knee. So, personally the only way Islander will see success is to keep his distance and be sharp, but for Wolchow I'd have to give the upper hand on the feet or on the ground.

Prediction: Wolchow by KO, Knee

*walks into the post-fight media conference...with a wide grin...*

"So what's this I hear gents...Slade predicted a win for Wolchow by KO (Knee)? Pffft. Haha.

Well, if you're gonna win in a fight, you gotta be tough. And this guy Wolchow, he had, shall we say, some soft skin? Must use a lot of moisturizer or something, a very sensitive guy there. Not sure this guy's ever been roughed up before...but hey, now he has experience! Well, I guess...if calling out the last part of your name...over and OVER...is experience! *chuckles* I mean, all I heard during this fight from the guy was "Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow!" HAHAHA!

Anyways, that was messy. I know some guys like it kinda messy. I don't, I prefer it to be nice and clean. But this guy, wow, it musta been his time this month...cause he bled more than my ex-girlfriend did!" *laughs and walks out*

(915290) MICRO ARENA, THE ISLAND

NOV 20, 2O18

SPONSORED BY: http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1541091810VENOM%20LOGO.png

Welcome the the Micro Arena on The Island! The next installment of the mysterious ROTI promotion where there has been some violent fights within the past few weeks. We have seen some nasty KO's, some sweet submissions, and some bloody grinding type fights that have really hit the nerve with all these Islanders. Lets take a look at the top 5 fights on the card this evening and lets see if my predictions can ring true?

Main Event

155 LBS

Soloman Cook (341555) vs. Litill "Mini Mountain" Bjornsson (341562)

Cook (1-0) won his 1st fight by out landing head strikes, but was ineffective in the clinch game. He has strong wrestling but he never had to use it as the fight was a stand up battle. His wrestling will be tested in the fight against Bjornsson. Cook has the size and reach advantage, but he will need to use that to fiend off grappling attacks that will be sure to come from his grappling aggressive opponent. Cook will need his striking and defensive grappling to be effective to win. Bjornsson (1-0) is a brown belt in jiu jitsu and he won his 1st fight by taking it down and into his world, where he was able to transition and attack from all angles until he got the submission win. He is a little shorter than Cook, and his wrestling is not as strong, but he will stop at nothing to bring this fight down to the ground, once there it will be only a matter of time before a submission victory is declared.

Prediction: Bjornsson by Sub, Kimura

170 LBS

"The Real Deal" Stojan Kostic (341550) vs. Thaelo Warona (341696)

Kostic (1-0) won his 1st fight by submission as he put his brown belt skills to test early and ended the fight swiftly. He is the smaller of the two fighters, but it gives him better leverage to get up underneath his opponent and get the takedown. He will have to fight off a muay thai warrior with a granite chin in Thaelo Warona (0-1) who despite having some early success in his 1st fight, was taken down and submitted. Warona will need to adjust his game plan against Kostic as he needs to use his reach and size advantage and set up strikes, combinations, and kicks. Warona cannot risk fighting too long in the clinch even with some effective striking as Kostic has shown he can work well in grappling in the clinch to get the fight on the mat. Warona needs distance, and needs kicks in order to put out Kostic's real deal.

Prediction: Kostic by Sub, Armbar

155 LBS

Ray Gillete (341503) vs. Zabit "Whoisness" Sharipov (341541)

Gillete (1-0) won a decision but dominated masterfully with several pin point accuracy strikes and kicks in his 1st quick fight. He couldn't close the fight with a KO/TKO, which makes me think he has the skills but not the power. He will have a good test when he faces another undefeated fighter in Sharipov (1-0). Sharipov has excellent muay thai and is very powerful. He won by a lackluster decision where there was a lot of action, but also a lot of missing strikes. He will need to shore up his offense if he want to defeat Gillete. This fight should remain on the feet for the majority of the fight and I predict that both will want to show the other they are the better striker. Who needs defense here?

Prediction: Gillete by Decision

265 LBS

Jefferson Aguinaga (341746) vs. "King" Tuna Tua (341636)

Two huge heavyweights enter the cage on The Island, one will leave victorious. The debut of Jefferson Aguinaga begins now as his tribal ancestors have foreseen a great journey. Tua(1-0) who has the height and reach advantage will look to add a notch to his coconut tree of victory win another win. Jefferson is a wrestler, but what kind I cannot say. There are many intangibles that one can have as a ground fighter. Will Jefferson bring the ground n pound, submissions, or control with some elbows and knees? Tua destroyed his 1st victim in 24 seconds and connected on all his strikes. It is said that he has KO power so this will be the way Tua needs to win. Classic stand up fighter vs. Wrestler.

Prediction: Tua by KO, too many unkowns about Aguinaga

145 LBS

Island "Fruit" Punch (341512) vs. Gustav "Peep" Ahr (341873)

Two debuting 25 year olds look to get their 1st victory tonight inside the cage. A small difference between their sizes as Ahr is smaller fighter and Punch as a boxer will have a good reach advantage. Punch is definitely full of punches, at least my thought as he has remarkable boxing skills and will need to stay on his feet and use his feet to keep the angles and counters off balance. If Punch has enough fruit in his hands he could get the KO. His opponent is "Peep" Ahr and he has wonderful wrestling with a blue belt in jiu jitsu. I can only guess that "Peep" will want to counter takedown off of Punch's attacks and get him down where he can use his skills to get a tko from some ground n pound or use a submission to make him tap. Another classic stand up striker versus a grappler fight.

Prediction: Punch wins by TKO, going with an upset of the favored ground fighters on the card

There you have it folks, a top 5 breakdown and analysis of ROTI-4 brought to you on The Island. Enjoy the action and the coconut drinks and save me a seat!

ROTI-07 (915723)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1541074043edit.fw.png

Welcome back to Bob's Bar on the Mysterious Island! We have for your enjoyment today 3 full events of ROTI action as they will look to put on a spectacle of fights. My colleague and I will cover the top 5 fights of ROTI-7 and get you an quick update of 8 and 9. So lets get started!

Main Event 155 LBS

Kebaneilwe Lasaro (341680) vs. Hogo "Hogmanizer" Sparky (341728)

Both fighters are 1-0 and look to keep the trend. Lasaro is a boxer and will look to stand up the entire fight and add to his KO victory. He is the taller fighter that has the reach advantage and will need to use all his footwork agility to keep Sparky from getting too close and taking him down. Sparky will want to go to the ground and stay there, he has quickness and good take down skills and has of yet attempted a strike. The great equalizer here is how can one or the other defend each strength? The boxers have always had trouble staying on their feet versus wrestlers and bjj specialists, so unless Lasaro has good take down defense and great escapes and defensive grappling Sparky will eventually get the fight down.

Prediction: Sparky by Submission, Americana

265 LBS

Do You Really Want To Hurt "Me" (341834) vs. Brevan "Stinky" Mink (341602)

Here we have some big boys looking to show off to the cage side crowds.

Me (1-1) is a stand up fighter that wants to feel his fist go through his opponents face. He is very powerful, and has excellent boxing skills where his dirty fighting in close quarter clinching is decimating as he unleashed a barrage to get his KO victory. Me will be shorter than his opponent which means he will have to use better angles on his strikes as his opponent will have that reach advantage to keep him away. Mink is also a stand up fighter who has excellent skills as well and has a granite chin. Mink (1-0) doesn't fight as much in the clinch , instead uses his punches in bunches and throws plenty of combos that if they don't hit his opponent will make his opponent not want to wander into his danger zone. This match up has KO of the night written all over it, as I expect this to be a pure stand up punching battle and it will only take one hit to the chin from either one to look like a tree falling.

Prediction: Too close to say, but someone will act as a tree falling in the end.

265+ LBS

Mister Mojo (341877) vs. Birago Balewa (341501)

Two huge dudes looking to make some earthquakes in the cage for the event. Mojo (1-0) is 25 years old but will be the smaller weight fighter of the two. He displayed good wrestling in his 1st fight and has the KO power in his hands to stand and deliver. Mojo showed that he wants to tie up his opponent and keep them up against the cage where he delivers hard, short, and heavy shots. Mojo will more than likely continue his gameplan against Balewa in his 2nd fight. Balewa (1-0) is a decent wrestler with countering type of game and is very strong. Balewa took his last opponent down and won by ground n pound where he landed 8 of 12 shots. He has some bjj experience as he has a blue belt in bjj and did attempt one submission before getting the itch to land more shots. Balewa has the weight advantage close to 20 more pounds. This fight will be determined who can either enforce their will in the stand up or on the ground.

Prediction: Mojo by TKO

265 LBS

Blade Blue (341560) vs. Bailey Blue (341758)
Well, we have an all family affair here as Blade Blue fights Bailey Blue..... not sure if they are related but you could definitely say that B.B will win the fight tonight. Blade (1-0) is an excellent boxer with a granite chin and won using his fists in the 1st fight, mixing up head and body shots to get the win. He has wrestling ability that he uses to stay on his feet where he can make his opponent eyes black & blue. Bailey (0-1) is a good wrestler with a solid chin, but never really got going in his 1st fight as he was taken down and he tried to transition and get back up but never could quite get it done. He was never able to advance his game strategy and didn't get any strikes thrown, so this fight will really serve as his next chance to see what type of fighter he wants to be. He has some of the same skills as Blade, but does he want to fight like Blade.
Prediction: Blade by TKO
185 LBS
James "The Truth" Corbett (341594) vs. Dino Pelayo (341574)
Corbett (0-1) couldn't use his powerful takedowns and counter skills in his 1st fight as he was shutdown on his 12 attempts that drained him of his energy where he became a sitting duck as he was struck over and over again. He will need to adjust some of his game plan to prepare for failed takedowns and how to move to plan b. Pelayo is an excellent boxer who has a heavy right hand. Pelayo (1-0) showed great versatility in his win as he fought in every area of the game with great success. His striking was spot on, he fought well in the clinch, and when his opponent was successful in getting him down (2/5) attempts, he used a good mix of advancing positions with striking where he was able to get off the ground. Pelayo is the smaller of the two fighters and will need this versatility to keep the seemingly take down android Corbett from getting what he wants.
Prediction: Pelayo by KO
There you have it folks, the top 5 fights of ROTI-7. Below I will do a quick review of the two other events of the day.
ROTI-08 (915899)

Major fight

185 LBS Main Event

Domenik "The Barbarian" Panayotov (341618) vs. "Eritrean Animal" Awate Tadese (341621)

Two undefeated 25 year olds who have 3 KO's between them look to throw down at Paddy O'Malley's Bar.

Both are excellent boxers with chins of stone, both will use wrestling mostly as a defense to stay upright, but you never can tell what game plan changes can occur. Tadese has powerful elbows, so look out for the fight in the clinch as Tadese will look to keep his opponent there to feel those strikes as long as he can keep him there. Panayotov has fought in the clinch quite a bit, but will more than likely try to avoid it against Tadese and keep his distance, maybe to mix in a few kicks in his strategy to keep Tadese from being overly aggressive, which it seems he will most likely be.

Prediction: Tadese by KO, Spinning Elbow

ROTI-09 (916031)

Major Fight

205 LBS

JT "Boogie Man" Smith (341497) vs. King Diamond (341683)
Smith (1-0) went to the clinch, went for the trip, and went to a sub attack and won it there. Diamond won by decision and has a unique fighting style. He fought standing, in the clinch, and on the ground where he escaped a sub attempt. His striking was all body shots either from the distance or in the clinch and landed some good ground n pound while on the ground. He will need to use his defenses to stay up and make the "Boogie Man" fight his game.
Prediction: King Diamond by KO, Liver punch.
