ch3rubim
I think Lebron just lost his right to be compared to Michael Jordan when he left Miami. And in the process, he also left his prime because his numbers will be going down this year, considering Kyrie and Love are both rising stars who will get more touches and plays. I think this will result to poor team chemistry, and in addition to that, the team's lack in defense will hinder a championship run this year. s3raphim
I agree. But it will be a very interesting season though.

Im assuming you didnt feel this way when he left cleveland for miami in the first place huh? I never compared him to Jordan after he did that, how can you justify leaving a team you were NOT able to win a championship with to join 2 MORE top FAs, putting 3 of the top 5 draft picks in the BEST draft the NBA has ever seen in history on the same team. He never was worthy of that comparison. To make it worse he played second fiddle to D-Wade for half the time he was there. If anything, him going back to cleveland was a way he seemed to have grown up a bit. He may be able to balance the economy and give a large amount of people who were left unemployed jobs. Guest
No comparison  http://taiwanhoops.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/michael-jordan-scottie-pippen-and-dennis-rodman-of-the-chicago-bulls-in-chicago-1997.jpg  That's irrelevant though, the reality is that he just ain't no Jordan. Maybe I am old and nostalgic, but look at the names who existed from like 84-93, even those who never won titles, I feel the overall competition is of a different level.  That's because teams actually played defense in the 80's and 90's. So when someone put up 40+ points it actually meant something.

People have been comparing him to Jordan for tha past 2 years. Now, he doesn't deserve it anymore, so I hope people and the media would stop that. I had no problem when he left cleveland, it was understandable, that organization just sucks but now he's coming back to suck with them. He never should have left miami. I had no problem when he left cleveland, it was understandable, that organization just sucks but now he's coming back to suck with them. He never should have left miami. It's about money. He left Miami because he could get paid a lot more in Cleveland because he didn't have Wade and Bosh to also be paid a lot. In Cleveland he'll be making $20.64M, whereas in Miami he got paid $19.06M last year. He did not give them a home town discount and with the short deal he just signed with Cleveland will be probably seeking a max contract from them when the TV rights cause contracts to explode. He is in a much more financially flexible position with Cleveland than he was in Miami.  As a lifelong Bulls fan, I also got to watch a lot of Michael Jordan and he too sought to break the bank. He made $33M in 1997-1998. That was the last championship season for the Bulls as of me writing this.  My point is its always about money. Wait until the 2016-2017 season. I bet there will be plenty of Free Agents and insane salaries coming that season as the salary cap goes through the roof.
Scooby
Also, with wade and bosh wanting decent money, miami was NEVER going to be able to retool enough to be a top competitor with him on the roster anyway, they never had money for a center and if one pg didnt play well they got eliminated, the bulk of their roster was taking MLEs to have a superstar squad. Wades knees cant last a whole season and bosh is getting older too,why not join 2 young allstars (like he did before) with a ton of undeveloped talent rather than a bunch of shane battiers and juwan howards for another 3-4yrs

I think James just isn't reliable to win, instead he relies on others. And so he goes to a younger and more talented team, thinking he has a better chance there. This guy doesn't deserve respect. Scooby
Dude you seem to be a biased miami fan... I cant stand Bron, but youre just biased. Bosh asked for a max contract on July 5th, a entire week before Lebron said he was going to cleveland,Wade got another 13 mil a year. All 3 made 19mil a year before, when boston's big 3 got together they made 15.1 each... Thats 12mil miami didnt have for a supporting cast like Rondo,Jeff Green,Big baby and Kendrick Perkins

But I was a fan of Lebron from the start, even when he moved to Miami because of his game. But now, He just destroyed his image, not a good example for future players to come. And if he doesn't win a championship anymore. Nobody's going to retire that jersey.

Guest
There was awesome tweet after new broke that LBJ is going back to Clevland, one of the comedians wrote "Im going home...just to take my stuff", since he basically can leave the team after this season. We all know LBJ signed 2 years deal ONLY to get paid when the salary cap will go up. Is he "new MJ" or something like that? No. There are players that simply can not be compared to, they are too good and too unique to say "Oww, this guy is like new MJ!". Â As far as team goes...I don't think Cavaliers will suck this season. If you look at the team they have, only real competition they have for Eastern crown is Chicago - which is big unknown force in the NBA. If D-Rose gets hurt again, they will be only playoff team. I don't think they can make it without him, so Clevland is safe pick for eastern championship this season.
Scooby
Vicusify that was gonna be my next question, with paul george out WHO will challenge them? We dont even know if Rose will be like he used to be. The Bobcats and Wizards are as tough as it gets now in the east
Guest
I think Chicago still would be in running for second seed in the east, even without D-Rose, its just the case that they won't really challenge Clevland without him IMO. Indiana is done for this season, Wizards team look solid to me, same as Hornets (Still confusing that they changed the name? xD), so its gonna be interesting. If D-Rose is back 100%, then its gonna be awesome to see who will finish first. If not, still gonna be awesome to see battle between Wizard/Hornets/Bulls/Miami for next seeds. Guest
Sixers wont be much better this season, prolly they will land another Top 3 pick in the draft. And I dont blame them, they don't have good enough team Embiid's still injured - so why not take one more year off and tank for a pick? Sounds about right. Clevland did nice job with their 4 years and 3 #1 picks, they landed with pretty awesome team thanks to those picks.
ch3rubim
Saw their game against the knicks. I was right, lebron's going down. look at his numbers and also what bad team chemistry, just look at the number of turnovers. Only 1 player had 20+ points (Kyrie). only 90 points total, very low for a team with 3 superstars. And lastly, bad defense, the knicks had 50+ in field goal %.. Just like the post title.. If you think you can judge an NBA team on the first game of the season or even the 20th, youre delusional The heat was a defensive, run and gun team, they had a game plan. This cavs team, I dont know what they are. Nothing at all, If they are even a high scoring team, they are not running, they only have 10 fast break points. Only scored 90 total. No bench depth (only 12pnts total). And also no D Â Who leads the scoring? who sets the plays?(kyrie/LBJ). LBJ handled the ball most of the time(8 turnovers), what will happen to kyrie now, not anymore a point guard? And will Love and Kyrie sacrifice their stats to win? I don't know. Also, waiters, what's his role in there? LOL
Scooby
The Cavs dont even know what they are! This was their FIRST game together, I dont want the cavs to be good but if youve played ANY organized sport then you know they are going to be way better, they have to build chemistry ESPECIALLY in basketball! They cant learn all that shit in preseason when nobody played and they definitely wont have playoff level chemistry with all new players after one game that they lost by 5.
