Fighter Injury

injuries are determined by the injury hidden -- if it is low then will pretty much always get 14 to 16 day injuries -- if it is high then might never get injured, i had a fighter with like 30 fights and never got 1 injury ever -- in the past this hidden really meant nothing other than not being able to fight quickly -- now days (or was suppose to be added) a fighter that gets injured often will start to degrade skills faster and sooner -- thus having a shorter career

Rich Franklin broke his arm blocking a head kick.

I did TKD for close to 3 years. I definitely know the force that goes into kicks and blocking them. Blocking punches is not as bad but I was suggesting something that fits the fight stats in this case. The fighter may have just as well done a backflip off the cage and landed on his back lol.

Another note here is that some fighters in this game (as with some people in life) will just injure themselves very easily, from seemingly nothing like, say whiffing with an overhand right like a pitcher might or throwing a kick that misses or even freak accidents like breaking a toe from stepping into a kick wrong or a finger from punching incorrectly. You can attribute it to whatever you want in your head but mostly what it comes down to is your fighter will get injured for a long time in most fights or very little.

I have only been lucky enough to have 1 fighter who has a beastly injury hidden, going 15 fights already with 0 days of injury. He does get cut now and then though.

one of my fighters gets injured every fight. This past fight had a 6 day injury with a 5 day cut.

Another fighter has yet to get injured in a fight.

The fighter that gets injured is a striker, the fighter that never gets injured is a grappler. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but clearly the grappler tries to take less shots and spend more time on the mat wrastlin' around. While my striker is most likely taking more shots.

it all has to deal with the injury hidden period -- if good hidden he wont get injuried or will have little injury -- bad hidden roll and he will get high injuries every fight no matter how long or what happens

Yeah. Your guy can score 5 second KO and be injured for 16 days. Injury is based of Injury Hidden 1-150 roll just like chin, confidence, KO power, etc.

All above comments related to what injury could be, are 'flavor' hypotheticals to justify the injury length.

A lot of us seem to like the "role playing" aspect of the game.

TKD kicks are little snapping baby kicks they don't hurt no one's arms.

Not everyone teaches the same and not everyone fights the same as in the norm which is taught.

You must think everyone in Kyoukoushin makes light contact? Because it's not true. In TKD a lot of people try to power through you especially in tournaments. My sensei taught us to kick through your target so this whole "baby kicks" nonsense just isn't true at least where I trained.

Just because it's a "light contact/touch to score" sport doesn't mean everyone is snapping a baby kick out to touch you...

Most of the people I faced were making heavy contact especially on the body shots. Come to think of it, only 1 opponent was really touching lightly with the kicks and it was because they were quite fast. So my statement stands. I know what it is like to block heavy kicks to the head and body.

I'm just messing, that's why I didn't even tag you.

TKD is very ineffective but I was just fishing for a reason to talk about the superiority of muay thai over other striking arts. most of the time it's the individual that will make the difference. in a parallel universe where kids from a certain country would start training TKD at 5 years old and compile 300 profesional fights by their mid 20's, then TKD would be considered the most effective striking art.
