Fighter released from The Island counts towards "sack fighter" clock?

Recommended Posts

in my "Release fighter early" page it says I last released someone one day ago but in my profile it says I released my last non-Island guy on July, 26th.

so it looks like the Island release cost me VIP days and re-started the 15 days period between sacks. can someone confirm if that's the way it works? it doesn't make any sense IMO but I really don't know, last time on the Island I wasn't VIP so when my guy got released this wasn't even a factor for me.

During island time you can release with non penalties to VIP. When it is tournament if your fighter lost and had an end city to move to once he is on highland it counts towards your VIP clock.

If I'm wrong please correct me since I didnt have a fighter in end of island tournament but that just about sums up what I think it does

This makes perfect sense. But if your Island fighter end destination is "Release" then it shouldn't count towards the "Release fighter early" 15 days countdown.

I still suspect it's a glitch tbh.

I've released several Island fighters with the "set final destination" set to "release" and it hasn't impacted my timer for releasing non-Island fighters once, nor has releasing a fighter who is still on the Island. Some of those fighters ended up in non-Island cities; others ended up in the void. I suspect your suspicion to be correct; either that, or there's a variable somewhere unaccounted for, which always sucks.
