I run an org and aside from the last week due to work and real life ive been super active everyday within the forums, buzz, making gfx of all kind, etc...

 

But man there are people in this game that have attitudes that are so bad that regardless of there intwntions there so detrimental to the game. it truly makes the game unbearable. I say this cause I have been pm'd on several occasions by several different accounts (I say accounts due to the similar dialogue that constitutes these pm's) being called liberal and other plain bigoted comments that really leads me to believe that if he's doing this to other people than this is considered cyber bullying. Or if not one person than this is obviously a group of people that really needs to be eliminated.

 

I'd name names but I believe if youve read this long into it you have an idea of who I'm talking about.

 

I've bought 3 seperate vip packages one of which was for someone aside from myself obviousky I enjoy the concept and function of the game and obviously give a shit enough about it to be active in all the capacities and want to contribute to the game experience.

 

But how in the flying fuck do I advertise this game to someone with rampant bigotry present. How do I advertise a game when every forum topic goes off topic in the same fashion as all the others ahead of it and nothing ever gets done due to outright negativity.

 

Biggest qyestion of all is Why in the fuck should I waste my time managing an org for a game that's either dying or is so poorly managed it might as well be. Honestly the lack of improvement is trumped by the bigotry and cyber bullying.

 

I know nothing will get done, I know the same people will say the same shit they have since I joined. But fuck since it's the holiday season can I get some kind of hope that this games worth playing?

How can someone be considered good when he is harrassing people via the message system? He tried it with Mike as well in the development group and got his ass kicked out of there. What is he doing is not the best welcoming message to newcomers that the game could offer. If you are unable to handle normal social interractions then I doubt that you have a place in an online game. This is not the first time this shit happens and I doubt it will be the last.

Not fixing the problem and continuing to let them destroy the game. The continued reaction of just ignore him furthers my point. That can't be the only accepted solution, as They'll continue to direct there views to others. This has to stop, not only them for doing it but the acceptence of their presence as They'll continue to do it.

 

I can't play this game if this is the continual response from the community at large tgen idk if this game is for me as it's essentially the wild west and any rules broken are essentially given slaps on the hand for punishment out of fear of losing profits. Which in itself is absolutely insane.

 

So Mike, GBK, any other moderator or THE GROUP member why should anyone waste their time if rules put down don't get enforced I feel like my money spent was money wasted. Is this going to change or is the same humdrum bullshit going to be spewed on a weekly basis for another 8 years of existence?

Mike is the only one that can do anything in game, so anything non forum related has to be done by mike as a Moderator or anyone else can't do anything.

 

You also won't have to worry about unibjorn/humors any more.

I had no need to block Grumpy Bastard, basically had it out with him one day and it seems that my insults were enough to really actually get to him. Based on his responses I saw that it affected him and in a way that brought satisfaction because he is such a major malfunction of a human being. He changed his profile immediately after my comment so I know it for sure did some damage to his psyche in some way. In the end though it's best to avoid someone like that. It's just a whole lot of negative energy for no reason. And to think that a person like that is just trolling and/or people in general waste their time being a troll... Personally I think this guy is serious and he hides behind this false image of being a war veteran because in the USA you "can't say anything against a war vet" because they are so supportive of the military and it's his security blanket to hide behind and somehow this gives him a free pass to say literally anything he wants to anyone and he is 100% free of personal responsibility.

Adding him to your block list would be the best thing you can do.

But on a realistic note, yes the forums can be a very negative place. There are a fair share of cbombs out here and frankly everyone turns into one from time to time so it's not like I can say most of us are good guys. There is a strange bandwagon mentality of ganging up on others and trolling and just a lot of misunderstandings... A lot of these people don't even speak english as their first language.

What can I say, it's a mad, mad world and we're just a bunch of misfits.

Depends on the context you are using the word. If you are using it as an insult, its degrading. Just like saying someone is black is not insulting but if you say someone is black with a negative conotation, its insulting. My guess is you listen to right wing radio or Fox news where hosts like Hanity have made millions creating division in this country often insulting every left thinking person on or mentioned on the show by calling them a liberal.

Look Ive ignored and blocked people but new accounts get created and the problem persists. This has happened once a month since I've joined at least. So no ignoring slash blocking is not the solution as it will still continue. Not to mention do it to noobs further devaluing the game. Is that how this is? Bigot say what they want until they get ignored or blocked then spread their crap too noobs who are obviously new. Since they're obviously some of the more vocal players in this game this is a serious issue there a literal cancer to this game. ip addresses need to be banned.

 

I can send screenshots of the recent convo that caused me to lose my shit. Generally I have been deleting and ignoring but obviously THAT doesn't work that well so here I am trying to help the community aside from letting it continue like I assume it has for years. This is cyber bullying and I feel like I could have a lawsuit knowing Mike is aware of them and chooses to really do nothing about it. (I'm not going to sue that's not who I am money means nothing to me so long as my bills are paid.)

 

Of all the things I'd like fixed in this game the #1 thing needs to be the overall culture of this game towards cheating and being an overall asshole.

 

Have yet to see anyone banned, fined or really punished at all for any action regardless of which rules were broken OUT OF FEAR THE PERSON BROKE THE RULE WON'T PAY MIKE ANYMORE TO PLAY! WTF is that shit? Literally that entire thread about KOFC was sickening to read from top to bottom, Unibjorns constant hijacking of forum topics, People not following the rules of the forum and it not mattering at all because rules might as well be non existant not to mention the stated above liberal (and racial) bigotry spread through PM's.

Bottom line he still is free to say what he wants but just cause your free to say it doesn't mean there aren't consequences. So it's essentially who would the game rather have? A jackass bigot? Or someone who really enjoys the game, willing to help people regardless of political views, and is generally courteous of others within the game?

 

Cause this games going to lose one or the other anyways and I will not just waste my time for a game that supports or harbours bigotry.
