Fingers crossed Dick Wad doesn't mess Magnus up too badly then :D I'm rooting for Cross to take this.

Thanks, No need to worry though, The fight ended rather prematurely, Dick started off a bit limp fisted, after a couple of taps to Dick's head he collapsed to the ground totally spent. Magnus feels motivated.

Dick Wad did absolutely nothing. Age catching up with him against the youngster. I forgot to set the slider in time but they were pretty much exactly how I'd have chosen.

With most of the fights now confirmed and just a few days away don't forget to set your sliders.

Has anyone got an idea of who might win? Magnus Cross is hopeful with his long reach but mindful of some tuff opponents.

World Combat Games Preview

Ladies and gentlemen fighting in all its glory! EFC hosts the boxing tournament: World Combat Games! Saturday the 25th on July six 3-minute 5 round fights will decide the first round winners. 16 Heavyweights want to win the top three prizes. Which fighters will go on to win the prizes, which fighters will progress to the top 8?

Jeff Rogan vs Michael D Amato

Canadian fighter Rogan (7-5) is used to finding the KO, with in 5 out of 7 TKO finishes. Coming off two losses Rogan’s camp need to get his head in the right place if they want him to progress through the tournament. Amato (9-3) has a new manager let’s hope they have bonded well and that there’s no tension going into this tournament. On paper Amato has the advantage with a better boxing ability and better muay thai, which may be a factor in the clinch. If Amato can control the fight and stay in close he’ll have Rogan on the back foot.

Dominic Manucci vs Matt Porcelain Punisher

World class Italian fighter Manucci (9-7) has would 8 knockout wins in his MMA record. Manucci has also proven to be dominating in the clinch being able to control fighters, bullying them into early finishes. With some of the best fight experience out of everyone in the tournament Punisher (17-4) has 15 knockouts on his record. The American usually has amazing wrestling as an asset which he’s not going to be able to use. He can stand and trade with Manucci but may struggle in the clinch.

Justin Biggs vs JT Redman

English Boxer JT Redman (18-6-1) has an impressive record at only 24 years of age. Coming off a three fight win streak his confidence must be sky high. What may be making him even more confident is going up against rookie Justin "Big Time" Biggs (0-0) in the first round of the tournament. Biggs has an impressive armature boxing record. On paper the rookie could be up to cause an upset on Redman with stand up only. However it looks like Biggs has never taken a muay thai class in his life, while Rebman prefers to use that skill in his MMA fights. Could that be the decider in this fight or the professional experience?

Bruce Hardman vs Simon Adabisi

Bruce "SonOfAThousandBastards" Hardman (8-2) has an exceptional stand up ability usually finding a first round KO in all his 8 wins. The veteran fighter Adabisi (24-6) is currently on an eight fight win streak and currently the UVT champion. Adabisi is a world class wrestler but in this tournament needs to rely on his boxing ability that may not be up to Hardman’s standards. The New Yorker has put much more attention into his stand up throughout his career which will aid him significantly in this tournament. This fight will come down hard earned ability against hard earned experience.

Antonio Dos Santos vs Kocoa Ebone

Santos (0-0) has a massive challenge in his first professional fight. He is a natural boxer working hard on muay thai training since deciding to become an MMA fighter. His training will aid him but the lack of experience could be an issue. Ebone (8-0) used to find the KO with ease early in his career but more recently working on his wrestling ability. He’s become a great all round fighter but needs to focus back on the boxing. Ebone has proven himself as a monster of a knockout artist in the past so it’s hard to bet against, and on top of that he’s focused! He’s not going to want to lose his undefeated streak to a rookie.

Magnus Cross vs Zeus Obliteratii

Cross (16-10) has had a film worthy career starting out as an Island fighter now being based in New York. Aged only 21 the Australian born fighter has a world class boxing ability with all 16 wins by way of knockout. An unbelievable record is usually backed up with a strong wrestling and ground game. Going up against Obliteratii (1-1) only the stand-up counts and Obliteratii is a phenomenal rookie. In another life he could have contended against Muhammed Ali. Getting his MMA record off to a poor start wont effect Obliteratii’s confidence, he knows he’s good and will be desperate to prove it. I’d expect this to be fight of the night!
