The second one, if somebody wants to put in the time to do it they can. But it's either going to be out of proportion for an avatar due to the width with the extended arms vs. height of image, or the extended arms are going to end up chopped off to some degree. Either way though, these days Mike will tend to reject an avatar that doesn't include base eyes, nose AND mouth, so for that reason I don't do open mouthed avatars. It contains all of the elements that they require, I believe it's very clean, and it's not cartoonish.
