  1. He's pretty strong, and he was mostly toward aggression (or else he wouldn't have scored those knockdowns). Guess it's probably the KO power then...
  2. Is there some hidden factor that results in lots of knockdowns without knockout? Or is it a slider thing? I'm getting worried about one of my fighters. He keeps knocking down better grapplers, and following them down. 7 times in his last fight (and that's only cause of all the time on the ground)!! http://mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=90048
  3. If you have a fighter in St Pete's, you've probably heard of us. If not, you now have the chance to check the gym out. http://mmatycoon.com/gympublic.php?gmid=305 Generally, spots are not publically available, but, as I have done once or twice before, I have opened up a few spots. They are filling fast, so if you want the best training in Russia, you're gonna have to move
  4. I'm having some fights I'm confused about recently. For example: http://mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=81588 MY guy was set to 80% aggression standing up, but pretty much threw nothing, and took a beating, the whole fight. Maybe his guy was set to 100% or something, but shouldn't my guy have been more active?
  5. Actually, 100 is SUPPOSED to be average IQ (ie 100% of average IQ - you have the same intelligence as an avg person your age), but the tests aren't perfect, and I think avg is more like 110. But, we live in a perfect tycoony world, so 100 average it is (plus fighters probably aren't rocket scientists in general)
  6. I have a fighter like that. Not really on purpose, though. I wasn't gonna fight him for a good long while, and created him as a wrestling trainer in my gym. Took any secondaries that related to wrestling (well not clinchwork) just in case. Then I got bored, so he's fighting. I tend to get bored quickly, so my 18 year olds all have several fights. Doing pretty ok though, luckily. However, my fighters all have more balance than a lot of other managers'. I focus on working to my opponents' weaknesses more than on my fighters' strengths. I've found it to work pretty well in general, though I am going through a rough patch now, as I've mentioned before
  7. Unless he's a pure headkicker, that is. Having a really bad streak recently, but one of the only wins I got was against a guy who's boxing was worse than mine but MT was better. But he was a headkicker, so I clinched aggressively and ground out the win. Totally owned in the clinch. And it wasn't that I would have won on the outside anyway. He knocked me down twice with headkicks before I could clinch him up the first time. Fortunately, I had the edge on the ground, so he just stood up from mount both times...
  8. Way to go!! I'm working through a really bad streak right now, and my 10+ streak (not sure exactly how much it was) is distant memory... Never got near 20 though

    never recovered

I've never before seen a rocking where it didn't mention afterwards (assuming the fighters weren't then KOed or subbed) that the fighter recovered his legs. But in this fight: http://mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=73439 my guy, Tostito, rocked The Russian in the middle of the first of five rounds, and I don't think it ever said either that 'he's still all over the place' or that he recovered. I don't think I hit him THAT hard
  10. You should be able to rejoin right away. There're two things I can think of that would stop you. A) If there are no more spots in the gym. If you set your guys to 'no training', where you'll hve to wait till Sunday to set them to something else before you can rejoin. Actually, I think you can still rejoin, just not train, so I think you're looking at option A. Contact the gym owner and see if he can open you some spots
  11. In a Chuck vs Chuck match, you probably won't be able to take him down with a little better wrestling, and you'll waste a lot of energy that you need if you try it too much. I'd say try maybe 5% and see if you get lucky. But you can still use that wrestling. Put him in the clinch and take advantage. People often forget about the areas they don't focus on, but if he's weaker than you in your weakness, it's now a strength
  12. Last time worked out pretty well, and I was satisfied with the new guys. But the spots only lasted a few hours (not sure even that much). As a public service, I'm opening two more. Get em while they're hot!!
  13. This has absolutely no bearing on the truth of this thread, but I felt it ironic that there's now a "Bisping" with PSUMike's 205 lb belt
  14. Argh, can't believe I lost that title match! That was mine to win. I call lucky shot, and Raul wants a rematch!!
  15. Spetsnaz training camp, the best gym in St Pete's (http://www.mmatycoon.com/gympublic.php?gmid=305) has always been choosy about who gets to walk through its doors. From the moment it was started, each new member has been hand-picked. Now, for the very first time, spots have been opened to the public. Three spots are now opened. That's right, no contacting me, begging for a spot. No extensive background checks. No painful cavity searches (what? we have to be sure). But they won't be open long, so get your butt in gear people
