Fight Night 2 - Preview

2/3/20 - New York

This week we have a series of three small events to give fighters a last chance to get a fight in before the championship series tournaments starting this month.

Steven Jones vs Dillon Van Barle

Light Heavyweight division features Jones (1-1) against Van Barle (1-0). Van Barle scored an impressive TKO victory in his first evern professional MMA fight at HFC 1 and is looking to do more of the same against Jones in this bout. A stand up striker with impressive MT and decent boxing skills, Van Barle will be a handful for his opponent Jones.

Steven Jones enters this fight 1-1, having lost his debut to Danar Lightner at Core Combat II, he rebounded in a big way when he got the TKO victory over Dylan Stryker in Core Combat VI. Jones will be looking to ride that success into this fight and hope to finish off Van Barle in the same fashion. Jones is also a good MT fighter and solid boxer, so no doubt this fight will stay standing until somebody goes to sleep or the judges have to hand in their cards.

Prediction: First Blood. This will be a pretty even fight, but I predict someone to bleed!

Lorenzo Bataglia vs Waampa Woodoo

From our Bantamweight division Woodoo (1-1)will battle it out against Bataglia (1-1). Neither of these fighters has been able to establish themselves, but both have shown flashes of greatness and will be putting it on the line in this fight to step into the spotlight and be considered a contender for this division.

Woodoo, a MT striker, is coming off a win in his first HFC fight against Robinson Anderson. This fight went the distance, but Woodoo came out with his hands raised and asking for another fight before he even stepped out of the ring! Love the dedication there!

His opponent, Bataglia, is a newcomer to the HFC. He's 1-1 in his armature fights in the QFC and will be looking to score that impressive first win in the HFC. Lorenzo is also a striker, but he's more of a Boxer and has shown solid wrestling ability in this past.

Looking forward to an exciting match-up between these newer comers to the HFC, who will come out on top in their final fight before the tournament?

Prediction: This fight will be a good one. Both managers are very experienced and the fighters will be ready to go. I am leaning towards Woodoo in this bout, but will not at all be surprised to see Bataglia to be the last man standing.

Ryo Hamada vs John Kuhn

This fight comes by way of our Welterweight division and features Ryo Hamada (0-0) squaring off against John Kuhn (0-3). Hamada is a BJJ fighter with some training in boxing. He's very confident entering this fight against the winless Kuhn and will be looking to score a quick tap out victory here.

Kuhn is more of a boxer/wrestler hybrid who hasn't been able to fully develop either style, but continues to improve in each. He's lost both of his HFC fights, and both to the same fighter, Mark Davis. Looking to bounce back and show the world he's not a joke, Kuhn will be looking to capitalize against the inexperienced Hamada to gain his first MMA win.

Prediction: Hamada will win via submission.

Jack Ham vs Jan Erik Ris

This is the fight I'll be waiting for featuring Ham (2-1) toe to toe against Ris (1-1). I don't know what it is, but it just seems like the big boys know how to rumble!

Ham is 1-1 within the HFC and after a tough loss via decision to Hasangjekaj in Core Combat II, he bounced back with a sick Guillotine choke out of Gilbervan Soares in Core Combat VI. He's been chomping at the bit to get back into the cage, and the time is finally here!

His opponent, Ris, is also a submission specialist and in similar fashion, he lost his debut to Delavine via decision, but bounced back by choking out Hasangjekaj with a rear naked choke. So both fighters lost via a draw, and both beat the same opponent via submission.. there are about as even as it gets in the HFC, and we'll finally get to see who's better!

This should be a good fight if you like watching a chess match on the ground.

Prediction: Jack Ham will be jumping with his hands raised when it's all over.

HFC Fight Night 3

Tuesday nights card features only four fights, but two of them are for the championship!
Billy Bryant vs Darren Lloyd
Our first undercard of the night features Billy Bryant (0-1) the coach himself, squaring off against Darren Lloyd (1-1). These two light heavyweights have contrasting styles as Bryant is more of a striker with some wrestling while Lloyd is a BJJ brown belt.
Lloyd is 1-1, but his only fight int he HFC resulted in a win when he choked out Diego Costa with a nasty Guillotine. He'll be looking to get this fight on the ground and do the same to Bryant.
Byrant, on the other hand, lost his first and only MMA match via referee stoppage to Van Barle at HFC 1. He will be looking to score a victory here, by KO if possible, to establish himself in the HFC and show his loss is a fluke.
Prediction: Lloyd gets the fight to the ground and finds a way to lock in a sub, tapping out Bryant.
Mark Davis vs RJ Cain
Our second undercard features GCF stand-out RJ Cain (3-1) squaring off against Mark Davis (3-2). Cain is riding high and full of confidence after winning his HFC debut against Colby Vovigton via some nasty GnP.
Davis is also full of confidence after beating rival John Kuhn twice in both Core Combat V and the rematch at HFC Fight Night 1. This time, he's facing off against a more accomplished opponent but he believes he can take this fight. All three of his fights have been won via unanimous decision, so he'll be looking to finish a fight this time around.
Prediction: RJ Cain wins via TKO
Jack Waller vs Barry Jameson
Our co-main event of the night pits Jack Waller (3-0) and undisputed bantamweight champion of the world against challanger Barry Jameson (2-1).
Jameson is an outstanding wrestler who likes to utilize the ground n pound to beat his opponents into submission. He scored a nice TKO victory over De Oliveira at HFC Knock Out 1 and is hoping his momentom carries into this fight.
Jack Waller has been nothing short of spectacular. Each opponent he has faced calaimed he was their toughest fight and that he hits like a mule. He's got to be full of confidence having stand toe to toe with the best the HFC has had to offer and he's the one who's been standing in the end. He won't take Jameson lightly, and has every intention of retaining his championship status.
Prediction: Jack Waller wins via KO
Sonny Gilchrist vs Rikuto Ryuuno
This title fight will seem lop sided, and possibly it is. Gilchrist is the reigning champion, and due to multiple fight declines, Ryuuno stepped in to tkae the fight on short notice. Because of that Hardcore mentality, he will earn a shot at the title.
Gilchrist (4-0) is an excellent BJJ artis who has tapped out each of his opponents to date, his first three fights not even making it out of the first round. He's displayed a tenacity on the ground and killer instinct unrivaled by anyone else in the featherweight division.
Ryuunosuke is an unknown, but also a wrestler and BJJ artist, so he'll have no problems with this fight going to the ground as he tests his skills against the best.
Prediction: The champ stays the champ and taps out Ryuunosuke in a grappling chess match on the ground. This fight won't end in the first round though.

HFC - Fight Night 2 - Review

Well HARDCORE MMA fans, tonight was a great night for the org. For the first time in Org history, we've turned the tide and made a profit on this event. Previously, I have been paying out of pocket to keep things running confident I could turn this ship around from is rocky beginnings. Well, today was that turning point. I look forward to much more success and continued growth.

Thank you to all the managers and their fighters who have been a part of this org and helped us get to this point. Moving forward, as we gain hype and ticket sales continue to grow, the profit will be reflected in contracts. As we make more money, you make more money. That's just how it should be. So again, thank you all for your continued diligence, and now on to the good stuff...

Hamada vs Kuhn (100%)

Our first fight of the night was a test run for Hamada and he made it look like one against John Kuhn. Well, more like a warm up than a test run..

The newcomer (Hamada) found himself taking a glancing kick and being planted on the ground within seconds of the bell. As if a reflex, Hamada landed a sweep and quickly gained top position and locked in an arm triangle, forcing a tap from Kuhn in only 34 seconds. It's not a record in the HFC, but it was faster than McGreggor pulled of his recent win, and that's impressive. (Submission of the night)

Ham vs Ris (26%)

In our second fight of the night, Jack Ham faced Jan Erik Ris. Both fighters came ready to go, and go they did. Honestly, I expected Ham to dominate this fight and finish it in the second round. Ris had other plans and gave everything he had.. both of these fighters put it all on the line tonight, but when it was all said and done, it was Ham with his hands raised. He wasn't able to finish, however, but the judges saw enough to give him the win via unanimous decision. (Fight of the night)

Bataglia vs Woodoo (51%)

Our co-main event tonight was Lorenzo Bataglia vs Waampa Woodoo. Both of these fighters coming in with a 1-1 record, somebody was going to take a step towards the top, while the other was determined to deal with a setback. In the classic brains vs brawn, the fight was underway.

Woodoo got rocked in the 2nd minute of the first round. He was in trouble early, but managed to recover and not only did he do a great job staying in the fight, in my eyes, and many others, he won the first round despite seeing stars.

The second round painted another picture, however, and Bataglia started avoiding Woodoo's strikes and countering well, and landed a huge shot that put Woodoo in another time zone. The refs didn't wait for the KO, or even the knockdown, but jumped in to save Woodoo any further damage as he was clearly not aware of what was going on at that point.

Woodoo fought well, but Bataglia put the HFC on notice that he's packing a punch! Great stuff here, runner up for FotN.

Jones vs Van Barle (90%)

This fight had the makings of a knock down, drag out brawl. Both fighters are very hard to KO, both are good in the clinch, and both are BJJ blue belts. I had no clue who was going to win this fight and was waiting all day to see how this one turned out.

Jones came out throwing nothing but punches and Barle mixed it up with a good variety of punches and kicks. I think that was the difference as Jones couldn't predict his opponents actions and kind of made himself one dimensional.

It didn't take long for Van Barle to dial in and land a big right that knocked Jones out cold. I mean cold.. the man was snoring before he hit the ground. (KO of the night)

Another good event in the books and we have some faces starting to make a name for themselves around the HFC. Fighters, rest up, the tournament starts in less than two weeks from now and I look forward to some amazing fights throughout our championship series.

HFC - Fight Night 3

Event Review

Hello HARDCORE MMA fans! We have another night of hard hitting action in the books! Fight Night 3 crowned a new champion and had a champion defend his belt! Lets jump right into the action!

Lloyd vs Bryant (40%)

We knew it was going to the ground, we knew it would end on the ground, what we didn't know was who would be the finisher. Ground and Pound vs Submissions...

Bryant was the more effective fighter standing up, and by that I mean he was able to take the fight to the ground 3/3 times. Lloyd was unable to get either of his two clinches or take-down attempts, but it didn't matter, he just had to fight from his back!

When on the ground, Lloyd was more aggressive. He was able to improve position at will and worked in 15 submission attempts. Bryant landed 3/6 strikes in his ground and pound efforts, but the 15th submission attempt for Lloyd finished the fight as he forced Bryant to tap out just over 1 minute into the second round.

(Submission of the Night)

Cain vs Davis (68%)

In our second bout of the evening, Cain came out swinging for the fences! Davis gave his all but was completely outmatched by Cain in this one. Unable to get the fight on the ground, Davis was forced to attempt to take the fight to the clinch. Once in the clinch, he couldn't hold it as Cain showed excellent control.

Cain made quick work of his opponent and showed some very impressive striking ability as he landed 12/14 strikes and put Davis to sleep with a wicked upper-cut.

Waller vs Jameson (50%)

Our first title fight of the night as Waller defended his title against newcomer Jameson. This played out as we expected, classic stand vs ground match.

Jameson did everything he could to take the fight to the ground, and once he was there he made the best of his time landing 50% of his ground and pound strikes. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to keep the fight on the ground and was only able to complete 2/20 take-downs.

Our champion, on the other hand, displayed a DOMINANT performance standing as he landed 23 punches to the head, 10 to the body, and 6 combos. He mixed it up well and was very accurate landing 38/39 total strikes. On the ground, he was able to improve position 75% of the time as well, minimizing the potential damage Jameson could have dished out.

Waller ended this fight seconds before the end of the second round when he knocked Jameson into next week. This fight earned KO of the night because when the fight was stopped by the ref, Jameson tackled the ref thinking he was his opponent! The crowed got a kick out of this, and so did just about everyone.. except Jameson, of course..

Excellent, and dominant title defense for Waller. He'll be anxiously awaiting the winner of the tournament to see who his next victim is!

(KO of the Night)

Ryuunosuke vs Gilchrist (28%)

Let me just start off by saying I'm already looking forward to a rematch of this fight down the road. These two BJJ artist let it all hang out and neither were able to bend the other to their will and tap them out. This fight took every minute of all five rounds and even then, the fight fell to the judges to settle.

Our champion, Gilchrist, displayed some nice grappling skills and warded off 43 submission attempts by Ryuunosuke, as well as only allowing 2/14 strikes from the ground and pound to land. He displayed superior grappling able to transitions successfully 12/14 times.

When it came to aggressiveness, however, Ryuunosuke was the more aggressive fighter. He was able to take the fight into the clinch with relative ease, and from there able to take it to the ground with 100% efficiency. On the ground, he attempted 43 submission attempts compared to Gilchrist's 33.

When all said and done, this fight was a general stale-mate. The judges gave the victory to Ryuunosuke because he was the more aggressive fighter, and was able to score some points with his take-downs.

As I said, I expected there to be a rematch between these two in the future, maybe Gilchrist will win the tournament and have his chance to reclaim the belt in Ryuunosuke's very first title defense.

Excellent fight guys!

Thank you all for your work and dedication to helping make this card a success. Next up, we have Knock out 2 and then onto the tournaments!

"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels (358467)

QFC Post Fight Media Scrum 2-5-20

"Shawn, congrats on the quick win, after 2 QFC fights, where do you plan on fighting?"

"Well, it's my pleasure to announce, that I will be signing, with the Hardcore Fighting Championship. Thats right, The Heartbreak Kid, is gonna get hardcore!"

"Is there anyone specific on the roster you had in mind for your first fight?"

"Well, first things first, February 8th I have my last QFC fight, I will be disposing of Ricky Lafleur, some soft Canadian. For anyone who wants to see a quick, brutal beatdown, its a free show, come on in and watch Ricky get his face re arranged. But after that, I do need an HFC opponent. Im not looking to sit around and wait. The question is who? DO I want a tuff fight right off the bat? Or should Shawn Michaels get an easy tune up fight? Well, The Heartbreak Kid, wants the easiest fight he can get. And the easiest fight, in the 185 HFC division, is without a doubt, Israel Adesanya! This man, has NO talent. He has, NO skills. He claims to be a boxer, but this punk couldn't hit water, if he fell out of a boat! If this gutless, BALLESS, coward, actually accepts the challenge, then I promise, it will be a one sided ass kicking, and there WILL BE BLOOD!"

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, allow me to deliver unto you a bit of a rhythmic soliloquy, about the man named Todd Wad who will step into the cage of pain with me. A troubled past the man from Trotter has endured, fourteen years passed before again he was heard. The story goes he appeared from a mountain range riding upon a two-ton bull elk, smelling as if he had spent years underwater with the creatures named whelk. Wild of mind, strong of spirit, burning is his desire for violence, after each night he trains and fights he seeks solitude and silence. Like my friend and alliance mate from Lithuania, Juodasis Vaiduoklis, you, too, are driven by mania, after you step into the inferno that I bring, you’ll run from New York to Romania. The heart of a lion you possess, no one can deny, and honestly, once you get to know me, I’m actually one cool guy. After we brawl and brutalize one another, perhaps we can make noise in the Big Apple, unless you’re still unconscious and under, in which case I'll pray for you at a chapel. On February 17th, one or both of us will hurt and bleed, but that doesn’t matter to me because that’s the price of combat indeed. There will be pain and suffering, and perhaps even more, so prepare well, Wad, for this…is effing hardcore!”

Hell yeah boys, that's what I'm talking about! Nice background ShaolinVenom!

Daaaaammmmnnn Daniel, that's the best call-out I've ever heard! Connor McGreggor couldn't have done it any better!! I'm going to make that fight happen!

But if Adesanya is "gutless, balless coward" you claim he is, will he tuck his tail and run?

We will definately be finding out after these tournaments are done... I sense a Heartbreak vs Stylebender headline on the horizon!

HFC Knock Out 2

Event Review

Hello HARDCORE MMA fans!! Another card to give last second fights to fighters looking to tune up their skills heading into the massive championship series tournaments taking place from Feb - March.

This review is long past due, but a promise to have it for you is a promise kept. With setting up brackets and tournament cards, I've been extremely busy but by the end of this weekend will be completely caught up, and that means tournament brackets filled out and visible so fighters will understand who their fighters will look forward to fighting next depending on scenario outcomes.

Without any further delay, welcome to Knock Out 2 presented by HARDCORE Fighting Championship!!

Vovigton vs Vargas (100%)

Our first fight of the night was meant to be a warm up. Instead, we got a oh shit, I blinked and I missed it!! (Looking up at the big screen to see the finish that made the crowed take a collective gasp.

In 32 seconds, Vargas managed to cut, knock down, rock and pound into next week Colby Vovigton while earning his own very first victory not only in the HFC, but in professional MMA! Colby is a solid fighter, but never even had a chance to get this fight on the ground as he was caught completely off guard by the quick striking of Vargas.

Montoya vs Lokki (72%)

Our second fight of the night put two win-less fighters against each other, each looking for the fight to put them on the right track. A win in this fight could mean a continued career while the loser could be looking at early retirement. It's a tough world out there, and in the HFC, only the strong survive!

I expected to see Lokki work to get the fight to the ground where he could but his BJJ to work where he would have an advantage over the standing striker Montoya. Instead, he decided to stand toe to toe with Montoya and Montoya picked him apart. Never missing a shot, Montoya landed 10/10 strikes and a nifty combo, a massive right left that put Lokki to sleep before even hitting the mat! I'm not even sure Montoya saw that left coming, and I highly doubt he'll remember it if he did!

Lidaka vs Denver (100%)

Lidaka, a fighter who's never tasted victory... Denver wide eyed and half as excited as he is nervous for is first professional fight... Somebody was going to be disappointed tonight, and another would heave a sigh of relief.

Wide eye'd Denver would not be overcome by the moment, and shined when the lights were bright. He never let Lidaka throw a strike and wasted no time.. well, 26 seconds, in landing a flury of strikes ending with a massive left hook that had Lidaka counting stars before the fans finished sitting back down from the fighter introductions!! (KO of the night)

If this is any sign of things to come from Denver, he will have a very bright future in the HFC!

Adasanya vs Wad (33%)

Newcomer Adasanya facing win-less Wad in a fight to establish... this sounds familiar, doesn't it? Well, that's what this card is all about! Getting some experience under your belt and to see how many KNOCK OUT's we can muster!!

This fight was the only non-finish of the card. The pace was very slow and neither fighter was very aggressive.. each seeming so concerned with what the other might do that neither one of them established an effective game plan.

Adasanya looked good standing landing several punches and combos, but not very effective with his kicking. Wad landed a few solid strikes in there, but took the fight into the clinch a few times with ease. These fighters then grappled for control and attempted to get the fight to the ground, where Wad finally did.

Displaying nice ground work, good wrestling skills, and a strong will to win, he dominated the ground game and did enough in the judges eyes to get the win by unanimous decision.

Maybe next time these fighters will have a little more confidence in their abilities and try winning the fight instead of fighting not to lose.. or maybe not..

Montana vs Quincy (70%)

Our main event tonight was a call out bout. Toni Montana wanted a shot at the Polo Quincy, and Quincy said "Fuck it, lets go!"

Gotta love when a fighter has balls in the HFC and won't back down from a fight!!

Unfortunately for Quincy, Montana got a quick take-down right as soon as the bell sounded and went to work doing what he does best. Nobody in the HFC has rivaled his BJJ skills as of yet, and Quincy did not want, nor expect, to be on his back this early into the fight.

When Quincy can establish control on the ground, he can be a force of nature. But Montana wasn't going to let him get that chance as he moved himself into position to lock in rear naked choke and force Polo to tap.

This could have been a different fight if Quincy had gained top position, but Montana was just too fast to handle scoring a great submission only 1:19 into the first round. (sub of the night)

This was the fastest event in HFC history. with a total fight time of 8 minutes and 6 seconds for all 5 bouts! There were some exciting finishes and highlight reel knock outs, and that's exactly what we were looking for at KNOCK OUT 2!

Thank you to all the managers who helped make this event happen! Good luck to those of you participating in the upcoming tournaments!

Stay HARDCORE!

Reporter: Ladys and gentleman im here with "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels after his 3rd straight QFC win, again dispatching his opponent quickly, give me your thoughts on the fight Shawn?

HBK: Listen, no surprise here, these QFC bums are no match, for the Heartbreak Kid! I saw that bum Laki Totoy, who I already beat in less than a minute, wanted another shot, so I'll be taking one more QFC fight, in an attempt to go ahead, and end this kids career before it even gets started. AS FOR THESE COWARDS IN HFC!!! ... Not one man in the 185lbs division, wants a piece of Shawn Michaels? Not one bum has called out The Heartbreak Kid!? ... Well I'll let you guys have your little tournament, thats fine, im sure it will be entertaining, I'll be watching myself. But best believe, I'll be coming for the HFC belt. There is no escape, from H-B-K!!!

Reporter: Alright you heard it here first folks, Shawn Michaels making his case for a HFC title run, but yet to even make his debut in the promotion. How will this all unfold? Tune in to the HFC tournaments, and find out!

Hello HARDCORE MMA fans!!

I have completed the brackets and have filled them out for you. Due to the tool I was using and the uneven number of sign ups for a couple of the tournaments, you will see a slightly different format.

On a bracket, if you see <Loser 1> vs <Loser 2> this is essentially an extra fight to take place between rounds of the tournament. The 135 division had only 6 participants, and instead of passing out a first round bye to two of them, I have instead decided to give two of the three loses a 2nd chance. They will be determined by the org based on fight performance and health after the first round. Those two fighters will face off in the 2nd round while the rest of the fighters enjoy a bye week. Round 3 will move on as normal with the winner of the loser bracket fight filling in the 4th and final slot for the round.

The same thing with the 170 division as we had 12 sign ups. Again, I didn't want to give a 1st round bye to 4 fighters, so we will also be selecting 4 of the 6 losing fighters from round one to have a losers bracket. The two winners of those fights will jump back into the tournament for round 3 and move on.

The division with only 4 sign ups for the tournament will be entered into a double elimination tournament. Brackets can be found below so you can copy/download it and fill it out as we go yourself for your fighters.

Enjoy!!

Championship Series 170

Event Preview

Hello HARDCORE MMA fans!

Today has been a long time coming, and we are on the cusp of the first great leap made by the HFC to establish each of it's weight classes with a legitimate champion and #1 Contender! This is the first card to host these fights, so let us get started!

Silva vs Tau

This fight is from the 185 weight class and is not a part of the tournament entries. But these fighters need to get more fights under their belt and look to take a step towards earning that #1 contender spot in the not so distant future.

Silva (1-0) comes into this fight as a newcomer to the HFC. With several armature fights in the TWGC, and a win in his only professional fight in the CEC, Silva will be confident in his ability to take this fight to the ground and dominate his opponent.

Tau (1-1) also has a background in the TWGC where he had a better ammature record than Silva. He is 1-1 in his professional career, all within the HFC. Tau is a submission specialist who will be eager to prove to Silva that the HFC is more of a challenge than the TWGC, and that he can hang with the best Silva has to offer on the ground.

Should be an interesting fight from these two youngsters, and a chance to see how they have developed since thier time in the TWGC.

Montana vs Kuhn

Toni Montana comes into this tournament riding high and considered a favorite to win the whole thing. He's a submission specialist that has downed every opponent to come his way. With a stellar 5-0 record, Montana has his eyes set on his prey, John Kuhn.

Kuhn enters this tournament as a long shot. At 0-4, this is a last ditch effort to save his career. Another loss, and he's out of the tournament, and staring at 0-5 and flipping burgers the rest of his life. A win, and he can show he's still got a chance and that a dark horse could be rising.

Prediction: Montana taps out Kuhn in under a minute.

Payakaroon vs Davis

Payakaroon (3-0) is considered by many to be a favorite in this tournament. Some have whispered that the final will come down to he and Toni Montana. It's a bit premature to speculate as we all know anything can happy.. A striker always has a chance, and a submission artist can tap out anyone given the right opening. So lets break down this matchup a little more.

Payakaroon is a defensive MT striker who has won each of his three bouts by decision. He doesn't hit like a truck, he pecks like a woodpecker. He has been known to land 4-5 punch combos before a fighter even has time to react. He's quick, accurate, and has good movement.

Mark Davis (3-3) is the more experienced fighter with 6 fights under his belt, and also has a background in MT. He is a little more versed in his ability to grapple with his wrestling training, and hopes that will be enough to do some damage once he gets a hold of Payakaroon.

Davis also has won all of his fights by decision, displaying a similar fighting style as Payakaroon, but unlike Payakaroon, he has been KO'd three times as well.

Prediction: Payakaroon wins by unanimous decision.

Cain vs Vovigton

RJ Cain (4-1) likes his chances in this tournament. He can stand with the best of them and has displayed brutal KO power in his time within the HFC. As luck would have it, his first round draw is a rematch against Colby Vovigton who he TKO'd back in HFC Fight Night 1. He will be looking to keep his edge and do the same to advance into round two of this tournament.

Vovigton (1-2) is a grappler and will need to take this fight to the ground to have a chance to avenge his first ever loss, which happend to be his fight against RJ Cain. Cain was able to win via TKO, but Vovigton will be looking to flip the script and put Cain on his back and take the win this time around.

Prediction: Can wins via KO in round 2

Quincy vs Vicious

Polo Quincy (2-2) is a solid fighter who's defeated another tournament participant (Matt Oduun) twice in his HFC career. Outside of those fights, Quincy lost a tough one via decision against former HFC fighter Jain Kim, and was choked out by tournament favorite Toni Montana in his last bout. In Polo's defense, he took that fight on short notice and refused to back down from a call out from the experienced Montana. He will be looking to right the ship with a victory over Vicious here and have a chance to avenge his loss to Montana in the 2nd round.

Mikey Vicious (2-1) is an under-rated fighter who displays a well rounded game even though he doesn't really excel at anything. He did lose his fight against Colby Vovigton in his HFC debut when he got tapped out, but he bounced back in a big way with an impressive guillotine over former HFC fighter Tyrome Biggins. He will be looking to take Quincy to the ground and show him how hard it is to breath when he's clamping his anaconda arms around your neck.

Prediction: Vicious pulls off the upset and wins via submission.

Oduun vs Minister

Matt Oduun (2-3) comes into this fight frustrated and looking for a chance at redemption. All three of his losses have come from within the HFC, and all have been won in the clinch. I know he's put some work into his clinch training, so maybe he can turn the tides and change things up a bit.

Minister (1-2) will be looking to avenge his last loss against division leader Samart Payakaroon. A beauty of a KO over Nick Hopkins in his HFC debut flashed his ability to end fights quickly when he connects. He will be looking to KO Oduun and advance, and Oduun knows it.

This fight could go either way, we'll have to see how these guys adapt to each others game plan.

Prediction: I have no idea! I think it will depend greatly on rather or not Oduun can adjust his fight tactics and how well he has taken to coaching since his last fight.

Hammer vs Hamada

This fight is on a different card at a different venue, but part of the same tournament so putting this info in this review despite the fight actually being on a sister card.

Two newer fighters in the HFC, Hammer (5-0) will be stepping into a professional cage fight for the first time in his career. With a brilliant immature record, he will be highly motivated to keep up his success and jump to the top of the rankings. If he wins this thing, he's a champ. If he shows well, he's a contender. The man has a bright future.

Ryo Hamada (1-0) jumped right into the big leagues with no armature fights under his belt, and didn't flinch in doing so. He tapped out John Kuhn with a nice triangle in his debut at Fight Night 2. He will be looking to stun the crowd again when he hopes to turn the Hammer into a Tapper!

Prediction: Hammer keeps the fight standing, 1st round KO victory.

Hope you enjoy this event, best of luck to all the fighters participating! Don't forget to visit the smack talk thread to download your very own copy of the tournament brackets to follow your fighters progress!

Happy headhunting!!

Championship Tournament Series 155 & 185

Event Preview

Hello HARDCORE MMA fans!

Today has been a long time coming, and we are on the cusp of the first great leap made by the HFC to establish each of it's weight classes with a legitimate champion and #1 Contender! This is the first card to host these fights, so let us get started!

This card features the first round fights of our Championship Series tournament for the 155 and 185 weight classes! There were only a few fighters in each who had balls enough to call for their shot at glory, and soon they will battle it out to find out who will be our first ever 155 and 185 division champion.

These are both double elimination tournaments due to lack of testicular manhood from within the ranks of these divisions. Or, in other words.. nobody else thought they were man enough for the title.... yet.

Starting off with the 155 tournament.

Silva vs Taylor

Marco Silva (6-1) is as dominant of a force as the 155 division has ever seen in the HFC's young history. A great MT striker with strong wrestling to go with it, he's a deadly force to stand against. As is evident by his 4 KO's, this man likes to throw down!

His only professional loss came by way of a decision, one in which he does not agree with, back in his days with SMASH. Fortune shines down on him as his first round draw is the opponent he last defeated at Knock Out 1, Leevan Taylor.

Taylor (1-1) is a balanced boxer and wrestler hybrid who's also a blue belt in BJJ. He's not as seasoned as the older Silva, and knows he'll have his work cut out for him to have a chance in this one. But they don't call him "Lights Out" for nothing, and I am hearing reports from London that he's been hard at work at Tycoon Gym, and is doing everything he can to prepare for this bout.

Prediction: Silva wins via first round KO

Tarlah vs Butcher

Balink Tarlah (1-0) last stepped into the cage back at HFC Knock Out 1 where he had the best submission I've ever seen.. His opponent quit! He tapped out from being punched in the face! It was a sight to behold, a glorious day for Tarlah, and an unbelievably non-Hardcore moment for Frank Drebin.

Tarlah prefers to ground game, using his dominant wrestling skills to control the fight and beat you into submission. And if you slip up, he has a little BJJ under his belt and isn't afraid to lock in a submission on you if you give him the opening.

This fighter is riding high and very confident, and he should be. He definitely has a bright future in this league.

Connor Butcher (2-0) is not even blinking. After his last fight, he spoke to his manager about talking to the HFC about a potential title shot. Well, here he is in the Championship Tournament.

A force of nature on the ground, his wrestling ability is among the best the HFC has to offer. The man has been training, and hasn't stepped into the cage in a few months, and he's ready to go. His last match was at Core Combat V where he dominated the veteran CM Punk. He will be looking to match Tarlah in his ground prowess and settle the dispute on who's the better grappler.

Prediction: Butcher wins via TKO

And moving onto the 185 division fights...

Tonissar vs Wad

Baruto Tonissar is a stand-up striker who specializes in punching faces and poetry. His is 2-0 in his early career and looking to show the rest of the world who he is. An excellent TKO silenced his last opponent who set the stage by making fun of Baruto's name, and lack of fighting skills. Tonissar let his fist do the talking and put Stickmann down. Now, he's had a few choice words of warning for his next opponent, Todd Wad. (you can see the full comments on the HFC smack talk thread)

Todd Wad is 1-1 in the HFC and after having lost his first fight against Graves in brutal TKO fashion, he bounced back with a toe to toe brawl with Israel Adasanya in HFC Knockout 2. Wad has some decent striking skills spending time training both MT and boxing, but will it be enough to keep Tonissar at bay?

Prediction: Tonissar wins via TKO

William vs Stickmann

Kelly William (3-0) is riding high after another impressive win. He's been taken to the wire twice as two of his fights ended with a decision, the other by way of TKO. He's tested, and finds a way to win, and will be looking to win this first round of the tournament against the cocky Stickmann.

Stickmann (3-4) is a more experienced fighter, but is looking for his first ever HFC win after a disappointing loss at the hands of Baruto Tonissaar in his HFC debut. The Stick Man has good hands, and can knock out anyone at any time. He has that "striker's chance" that old Chuck Liddell used to have.

He's a similar style fighter with a good blend of boxing and wrestling, but William could be his toughest test to date.

Prediction: William wins via KO

Looking forward to these fights, some of them have the potential to be brutal. This is a double elimination tournament, so a first round loss can be used as motivation. Good luck to all of your fighters.

Stay HARDCORE!

Captain Jack Sparrow:

"Lady's and gentleman, no need for an introduction as I'm sure you already know who I am. In fact, Im willin to bet you already know what I want... Gold mate,. Thats the only reason Captain Jack Sparrow is in this game. I want the HFC gold belt around my waist. So Jack Waller, you will be fighting me soon mate, savvy? .. HOWever, I was informed that an IMMEdiate title shot, may not be available, so in the mean time, I noticed we have 2 QFC champs in the 135lbs division. And I gotta tell ya, I don't think I care for that, Jack Sparrow is the QFC champ, not Tourney Guy. I thought I already beat you, but turns out you Tourney Guys are everywhere. So how does this sound

Captain Jack Sparrow, 4-0, QFC Champion, VS, Tourney Guy, 5-0, QFC Champion

Someone is losing their undefeated record mate, count on that."

HFC just bought out SMASH! We will be merging the SMASH roster into the HFC's starting this weekend. Should be a LOT more competition moving forward and some GREAT fights to look forward to.

SMASH has some good smack talkers, so hope things get heated up in here real fast!!

What happened?

Why on 1 -day notice, this is so weird. The owner of HFC has like 1 fighter?

I`m just very confused. Biro sent a message I hope everything is good in real life :(

I am not sure what happened with Biro in RL. I know I had a 30 minute window to figure out a way to take over SMASH or the company was going to be closed as he walked away.

I got a placeholder to take the company so that I could do a company swap. Most fighters from the old HFC have been given contracts to merge into the new HFC (SMASH). I did this to benefit the HFC, obviously, but also because SMASH had a beautiful roster that I look forward to working with.

We will not be needing to recruit any time soon, so no more contract spamming! I am a VERY active owner, and will keep putting out events to keep our fighters busy and managers happy.

The old HFC (CORE) will be closing it's doors as soon as merger is complete and booked events are over. We lost some fighters from SMASH when he canceled all upcoming events, as well as lost a lot of HYPE. But that will all be gained back shortly as I start putting together new events. There is an outstanding roster in place and I'm hoping a few of the fighters we lost will come back once they see what's going on.

Meaning that he created yet another multi real quick like yesterday so he could hold both companies. http://mmatycoon.com/managerprofilemanager.php?MgrID=132596

Why do you always have your head so far up everyone else's ass? Mr. gotta pretend to be Oprah and shit.. Now mind your own damned business and go watch "As The World Turns" or something for your drama.
