ChronicCrush Posted December 20, 2013 Report Share Posted December 20, 2013 One thing I'd love to see happen in 2014 is the option to go for the submission after rocking your opponent. It wouldn't need to be anything more than flavor text in the fight finish but it could really make things more interesting. To me, this seems like a great way to let guys pull in more submissions, even from standup and clinch wins, without having to add new sliders. It could happen based on your skills and checking the box doesn't have to guarantee a rock & lock sub if you don't have the stats to pull it off. It would benefit fighters with the skill to line up a good submission record, even if they couldn't always get the fight to the ground. Often you see someone not renowned for their submission abilities, hurt someone on the ground with ground and pound, then they roll over, give up their back and the guy locks in a rear-naked choke. We don't see nearly enough rear-naked chokes in the game and you don't need to be a BJJ master to lock one in on somebody who is ready to give in, hell even Cro Cop has one to his name. 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In a lot of cases when a fighter has his opponent rocked and he attempts to close distance trying to finish him. He ends up allowing his opponent time to recover due to good defense.
