100% standing. HELP!

Recommended Posts

I had my guy at 100% standing, in tactics. Yet he, vs a top notch BJJ, "dives into side control" when the other guy guy is rocked and nearly taken out.

So, is this a fluke or what?

Is 100% standing not 100%?

Do guys always dive onto the ground to finish even if you have 100% standing?

Help with this please!

Yeah thats the one thing I hate about the game is that. Happens all the time when you get a knockdown from a punch or knee with a striker and you follow him to the ground and lose. They need some sort of no going to the ground after a knockdown. Like if I am 100% standing I don't give a fuck if the guy is hurt I have no reason to go to the ground just let him up and KO him there. I do wish that mike would fix that. I have at least 5 of my losses because of that BS. The problem is most people set up there tactics to play defense on the ground against a BJJ guy when you are a striker so you drop to the ground for the finish (no reason at all other then the game feels he needs to) you drop down your silders for the ground come into effect so your finish was probably very low as well as aggression so that you wouldn't get subbed and he just trapped you on the ground because even at 80% get up when you get to the ground you still have to work to take him out. I am not sure how you fix this but it would be nice to have my strikers not try that and just let the ref stand them up and just beat the hell out of him some more. Here is an example of what I mean usually it happens like once a fight with my stikers. Which I would pretty much love if the game would decide to let my fighter actually stand 100% of the time.

with stick to the game plan 100% and stay standing 100% your fighter will not go down on his own

not sure if get up would figure into that but if i dont want on the ground its pretty much at 100% anyway -- and i have never had one jump down that i can remember at all --- most forget the stick to the gameplan slider though

Actually this issue has nothing to do with the sliders, as insomniac said. It's just a case that if you rock someone, sometimes you follow them down trying to finish them with strikes, even if you're set to 100% standing. It sucks if you then end up getting subbed obviously but it's nothing to do with tactics. It's a very big fix to stop this happening, which is why it hasn't been done. It will get looked into eventually though, to try and stop it happening.

good to know -- i guess with mine they have just been clean ko's mainly -- just dont remember following them down but im sure it will happen though

A fighter's Intelligence and Experience probably has something to do with it too. Self Confidence could too, if over-confidence is a possibility in this game (I don't know if it is).

So Admin, according to you 100% standing and 100% stick to gameplan would take away some of those (dive in) finishes, none or all?

And also, is there a way around it (however little) for guys wanting to produce pure standup strikers?

from what tycoon is saying its not 100% -- the natural move is to go in for the finish if they are not ko'ed right away -- so this is what happened in your fight.

There's no way around it right now. I want to have a week of looking at nothing but the fight engine fairly soon though when I'll see if there's anything I can do about it.

tycoon was wondering on the tatics -- i dont know but would like to see maybe the added feature to go to the ground if in top position but to stay standing if the fighter will end up on bottom. just for the wrestling edge -- as the saying goes wrestlers want to go to the ground but not on the bottom for ground n pound. make sense to anyone else

Thanks mike at least you know how I feel lol. I never posted about it because I just assumed there was nothing that could be done and just work on my ground game a lot with my strikers. But a new silder would probably do the trick or something along those line. Thats probably a hell of a lot of work. Right now I guess its nice to be average stats for that aspect.
