  1. Hey Mike - Are there going to be any changes to sparring at all? I see in one of your potential changes to come you have: A popup for your fighters on the gym public page to show what level of coach your fighter needs in order to receive the best possible training in each of the training types. I would like to see this for sparring as well. I've read about as much as I can about sparring, and it still confuses the hell out of me. I would really like to know when I am maximizing my sparring.
  2. http://i.imgur.com/3papN.png Mike - I think the website looks great =) I think you need a menu redesign more then anything
  3. I think Mike should open up another 5 slots for purchase =) (Although I know something like this with coaches may already be in the works)
  4. New one from me - have to give Rob some credit here, as the eye idea came from one his posters a while back. http://i.imgur.com/Z5Oc3.png I liked the theme on this one so I made a second that is similar: http://i.imgur.com/EJEgB.png
  5. I think if addition to the Slider it showed the exact number, it would clarify the Slider for noobs and benefit experienced players as well.
  6. Great work guys. I'm at the point where I don't need the money anymore as well, and the incentive to raise my price isn't there like it once was.....so I see where you guys are coming from. But to the guys starting out - make no mistake these guy's work is worth 10k+ and there are lots of people willing to pay it too. They wouldn't be overcharging either so don't feel guilty! There is a ton of money out there, just take a look at the contracts being thrown around these days.
  7. I started out at 3k, moved to 5k and now charge 10k, but I think you can get up to 20k nowadays. I would say between 5-10k per poster is the norm.
  8. First time seeing these articles, very good read. Insane how much time must have gone into developing those.
  9. A few things from my experience so far. Defensive Grappling is a big factor in sweeps, and BJJ plays a bigger factor in sweeps then Wrestling. I think the finish and aggressive sliders are the main reason in this case... I but think the finish slider probably has the bigger impact to prevent sweeps. Setting Counter + Control will dramatically reduce sweeps. The problem with that is if your opponent is also going Control + Counter as well (which I've found a lot of standup fighters do in order to get a standup).......then you're going to get stood up constantly. Also if you set a "stick position" if will give your opponent less opportunity to counter-sweep when you would otherwise be trying to advance position. I have found stick position handy because your fighter will still advance position if opportunity presents itself, he will just not actively look to pass once he hits that "stick position" I have found setting Counter+Control can work really well against guys who are aggressive on the ground. The ground game is very tricky...and I still don't know shit....., but I see it as an opportunity to get an advantage because many very experienced managers still have little to no knowledge of it.
  10. Is this scholarship fund still active? If so - In November when I started this fund gave me 36k, which really helped me get started. Now that I've got my feet on solid ground, I'd like to donate 36k to get the ball rolling for next newbie.
  11. I know this is an older thread, but I'm trying to understand sparring better. Is this still the current/accurate way of looking at sparring?
  12. Interesting twist. Coupled with the fact that he already had the money, not to mention his poor attitude in the other thread, (Posted "QQ") ..........there is no doubt in my mind that this guy is shady.
  13. I like this =) You're posters are definitely improving! I would recommend adding a border on some of your posters. You'd be surprised the difference it can make at times. Here are couple of new ones: http://i.imgur.com/P7zrN.png http://i.imgur.com/RuLKD.png
  14. Hey guys, I have two relatively new fighters I need contracts for. I'm looking for a 1 fight contract, so I can test their hiddens and see if they are worth keeping around. I would prefer a contract in Las Vegas, but I will consider other locations. 1st Fighter: Can fight @ either 265 or 265+ Craig Skinner (166065) 2nd Fighter: Can fight @ either 135 or 145 Jason MacKay (164317) Thanks!
  15. I agree, Mike should just swhich them. Historic Fight Data is the real stuff anyways.
