But he took the fight immediately even with the hype difference and I can't thank him and his manager enough for giving me this opportunity. I can't say I will win for sure, all I can do is do everything I can.. My last fight with Floyd i'm very mad at myself for, I didn't fight like I can and I won't make that mistake again. Zivic and his hype make this a must win for me and I plan on shocking the world again and making my comeback. Good luck Zivic, may one of us fall and we avoid crummy judges." Burns said before the fight "I have no injuries, Hess beat me up but I get beat up everyday in training as well. I will get my HW Title back, I didn't lose it, and the LHW Title will be a nice trophy as well. Bernardo is young & a great fighter, but I'll catch him." He has a kickboxing record of 136-3-1 with 96 KO's and is the 2011, and 2013 & NEW 2015 World K-1 Grand Prix Winner. Bernardo said Pre-Fight that "I came to win, I'm much younger at 28 years of age and I'm in my prime, I defended my LHW Belt a record 13 times and my only two defeats I redeemed. The only man I have yet to beat is Simba Burns Jr, and I will surpass him as the greatest." Burns playing cautious here as he lands some hard inside leg kicks followed by a left high kick which stuns Bernardo and his legs go wobbly for a second. Burns pressures but backs off as he realizes Bernardo has the size and reach advantage and is still dangerous. More big punches and kicks winging from Bernardo, mostly all miss as Burns backpedals landing semi hard kicks to the inside of Bernardo's leg as the round closes. 10-10 R2Again Bernardo comes out chasing, not worried about being countered by the shorter man. He stalks, and hits Burns with a 3 punch combo ended with a kick to the gut. A right hand and a left snap Burns' head back as he smiles and says "bring it on".. Burns sticks his chin right out and lets Bernardo fire away with 2 right hands and a missed left high kick that has Burns laughing and throwing his own off balance high kick and falls to his backside. 1 minute left and Bernardo still stalking before missing with a huge left that Burns times perfectly, countering with a right hand followed by a left low kick and right teep kick from Burns that has Bernardo backpedaling. With 7 seconds left in the round, Burns Jr lands a vicious liver kick that drops Bernardo, he beats the 10 count and round 2 ends. 10-8 Burns Jr. R3 Burns Jr smells blood from the previous liver kick and goes straight at Bernardo who fires back hard, landing a big right that clips Burns Jr and looks to have hurt him, but when Bernardo steps into the pocket Burns catches him with another left kick to the body and Bernardo covers up and bulls forward throwing straight punches now. Burns again counters with a left body kick and then looks low but goes high with the right leg. Bernardo gets caught with the huge head kick while he was protecting his ribs and he goes stiff, his legs are gone and as he quickly gets to his feet he cannot stand, and falls into the ropes and onto the canvas again.Vicious, Amazing Highlight reel KO for Burns to become Two Division World Champion! http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q154/TimSylvia_2006/1316235Cro20Cop_combo_Bernardo_11.gif

We're one week out from you vs Zivic 2, this time for CEC Gold, how good does it feel to get another crack at him, and have added Gold on the line this time?Simba - "Thanks, and yeah I'm pumped, me and Zivic are buddies and we've trained and sparred together a lot. He's an awesome Champion and CEC Gold is the most precious and prestigious prize in the MMA world. Zivic poses problems for me, I feel like, at a pure striking stand-point, with just K-1 rules i'd beat him 10/10 times but with MMA so many things can happen unexpectedly with these small gloves and other weapons to use.. You never know who will win in MMA. He's talented and experienced. The first fight happened in AD, he was Champion but a Non-Title 5 round fight, that went to a very close decision, what happened in that fight that will be different in this fight, or will anything even be different? Zivic NEVER NEEDS decisions, neither do you, why did this fight, which won FOTN btw go the distance with such heavy hitters? Burns Jr - "I feel as if the fight was very close, but he probably deserved the nod. I was coming off 2 losses before that fight and i wasn't in good shape mentally. I was very happy I kept it close and survived when I got hurt. We were both going for the KO but I think my chin is better overall. The guy has it all, just like I do, and although he has boxing advantage, my kicks are lethal and my game is improving everyday in every way. This fight will be different because I am in a good place now, and I'm more ready than ever, great game-plan and amazing people still around me. I want that CEC Title." stpierrecanada
Since we last checked with Simba Burns Jr, he had dominated real world K-1 and was re-matching Zivic for the CEC LHW Title. The fight again was very close, but Zivic got the UD now. Soon after, Burns Jr announced he MIGHT retire but was quickly offered a fight in CEC against top world class fighter, Shogun Aye. Simba Jr was a 4/1 underdog and Aye had slick submission skills and great power. Simba Jr stunned Aye and halted his momentum with a dominating Unanimous Decision win, using a different gameplan, smarter and experienced in MMA Burns Jr avoided the ground and busted Aye up on the feet where he wanted to keep the fight. Next up was 16-2 Sergej "Project Alpha" Valentinovich (235645). Dean Sutherland's best young fighter. Again Burns Jr was a big underdog, 6/1 this time against the 27 year old KO machine. Simba Jr was confident before the fight saying "I'm telling you, if he stands with me, his only chance is a lucky shot because I'm a different striker than he's ever faced, no manager in the world can set his game plan to beat me on this night." After 3 rounds, Simba Jr had done it again. 30-27 on all scorecards with Burns avoiding his opponents main power shots while showcasing his granite chin. By the middle of round 2, Valentinovich could barley stand on his left leg, Simba Jr continued to target the leg and picked apart his younger counterpart until the end of round 3, where Valentinovich barely survived. Next up came another crack at the CEC Light Heavyweight Championship, his long time goal. The reigning Champion was Trevor Reznick (231860), who had just defeated Fritzie Zivic by Devistating KO to take his belt. Burns Jr called for a Title shot and was granted it. Reznick was a 4/1 favourite as odds makers still didn't fully believe Simba Burns Jr could win top fights in MMA, but he did it again, avoiding all Reznicks power punches and picking the Champion apart thoughout 5 rounds. 50-45, NEW CHAMPION, SIMBA BURNS JR. SIMBA JR IS THE NEW CEC LHW CHAMPION!
