Sackett's was sweet but Diego put his opponent to sleep on the feet, Sackett had to jump into mount to finish.. Maybe I'm biased but I would have been kinda confused if Diego didn't get the KO of the night. Quality of opponent also wasn't even close.

LOL. You are definately biased. Not sure about quality of opponent not being close. IMO Hessler is a tougher opponent.

Here is the end of Sackett's fight:

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sackett tries to land a front kick but Hessler steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Hessler throws out a counter right but Sackett avoids it with no problem.

A chopping leg kick lands by Sackett.

Sackett tries to bum rush Hessler with a series of wild strikes but Hessler uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hessler wants to counter the offense by Sackett and move into the clinch position.

Sackett tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hessler paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hessler is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Sackett takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Hessler slips under a jab.

Clinton Hessler is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Sackett tries to clinch up

and Hessler counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Hessler throws a nice outside leg kick.

Hessler walks straight into a right hand from Sackett - that's dropped him! Sackett jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Hessler from any more punishment! Hessler complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 5, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Nolan Sackett!

As you can see Sackett drops him out of nowhere with one punch. He jumps into mount and starts pounding away must be flavor text because he landed 0 ground strikes.

Groundwork

Improve pos: 3 (2)

Ground strikes: 0 (0)

Sub attempts: 0 (0)

Lets look at the end of Diego's fight:

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/4.gif

That's four minutes gone in the round.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Diego misses with some punches.

A right handed body shot lands from Diego.

Diego lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Diego scores with a nice hook to the head.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Diego.

Diego is leaning against Tarczynski and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Diego lands a right hand that snaps the head of Tarczynski backwards.

Diego lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Tarczynski is rocked!

A short right from Diego.

Oh Tarczynski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Diego misses with a hook from the clinch.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/knockdown2.gif

Diego drops Tarczynski onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Tarczynski is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Diego throws a big uppercut that drops Tarczynski! More strikes from Diego and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Tarczynski lies dazed against the cage as Diego celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Don Diego!

Diego lands a bunch of punches, rocks his opponent, lands a few more to get the knockdown, THEN drops him again, THEN more strikes from Diego before the ref steps in to stop the fight.

OK, as I read it here it has become obvious that you are delusional

Sacketts knock out is the kind of one that if you are reading as either manager in the fight, you either jump out of your chair with a celebratory fist pump or throw your laptop repeatedly against a wall. The last second KO's are always the best, and when you have been getting smoked for four rounds, four minutes and 54 seconds of the fight and land that big KO, meh, not much beats that when it comes to Tycoon.

Syn Middleweight Mania round 2 preview

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w3.jpg VS http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/7/7w8.jpg

Nolan Sackett "Candy Man" Dean Corll

Both guys didn't have an easy fight in the first round at all, altough nobody had one. Nolan Sackett got dominated for nearly the entire 5 rounds, until he landed a big right hand with just seconds left on the clock. He took full advantage of it and (t)KO'd Hessler before the final bell. Impressive KO and a clear signal that the fight is never over until the final bell rings.

Dean Corll on the other hand faced of against Riccuito in the first round of the tournament and had to work hard to get the win. He took home the win after a close judges decision. A win over JLP his guy is no joke, so great start to the tournament.

Nolan Sackett is part of the famous Sackett -family, raised by the grandmaster himself, Barn Sackett. He has dominated 185lbs and 205lbs pretty much since the start of his career. He is known for his huge KO power as he has finished his opponent in 19 of his 23 wins. Some call his power insane, what is a fitting name, as he is a legend of the famous former fight org 'Insanity'. He is an 11 (!!!) -time Insanity champion and an absolute legend. He is also famous for winning the mad cash tournament, so a clear sign there that he can fight a good tournament for sure. His 23-3-0 is very impressive, but he will have to be very alert against his next opponent, as he only survived the first round of the tournament by landing a huge punch. Until that point, he was losing the fight.

Dean Corll has only one home, the 185lbs division. His entire career so far has been at this weight and it's clear that it's a good fit. He has won the MMA Helsinki belt multiple times before he came to Syn. He has had some great wins, but hasn't been able to put on a long enough winning streak yet to have been a top contender. This tournament might be his golden opportunity. His win in the first round of the tournament showed that he is ready for it and that he can go far. Just like Nolan Sackett, he has a lot of KO power and is not afraid to use it. He is a world class boxer who likes to hit people in the face and see them go down one by one. THe thing most don't realise when they see him fight, is that he is an elite wrestler as well, something that can be a big plus in a fight of this calibre.

It's hard to see who will win this one, as both can end the fight with one good punch. Corll and Sackett have great managers who will come up with a great gameplan for the fight, so it will come down to who has the best plan. If I really had to be on one guy, I would probably think that Nolan Sackett will advance to the semi-final, but it's just based on gut-feeling and I wouldn't bet any real money on it, that's for sure.

That is what I am saying. I was on the other end of it in the Olympics with Flagon losing to Makinwa. Fuckin heartbreaker. That fight earned FOTN and guess what? It was at Syn and awarded by the very same person.

Sackett wasn't getting smoked, he was just patiently waiting for the right moment to pounce. Just like Meisha

You better hide that candy Dean because Nolan is looking to steal it!!

Diego desperately trying to get a stoppage at the end of the 5th round, teeing off on his opponent.

The fight ended in a hard fought draw. The rematch will be one of the most anticipated fights in a long time.

Congrats to Sackett, big win, impressive finish.

Good luck fellas. Sackett will be enjoying his break with a gigantic smile on his face while lounging on a nice warm beach with a tall frosty beverage, a short squat bong filled with fat danky bowls, and a whole host of half naked hotties helping him heal........at least for the first two days......then it's party time.
