These are based on P4P and W/C rankings, past performance, and hype+pop. In order to be rated you must have fought at least once in this organization.

A word on Title Fights. I do NOT give title fights to fighters that have not fought here. I do NOT give title fights to fighters coming off of losses unless that fighter is the former champion and there is not a better candidate for the number one contender spot. I believe that the fighters fighting under this banner deserve the title fights before anyone from outside of this org does.

Tomo The Chosen One: Following the change in ownership of Rise, my fighters have something to say:

Torcadall Sailcirc: I see there is a change in ownership, how about puttin me up against Ion Pascu in your first card? Ion what you sayin?

Conour McNugget: Tough loss last time around but I’m very keen to get back in the octagon to get revenge, give me anybody, I don’t care who! I want to kill!

Alexander Dumas: Just an idea, but how about running me vs Carlos Anderson again? No doubt in my mind that I will beat him this time.

  1. Provided that Ion Pascu is willing to stay on with RISE then that will be a fight I would promote.
  2. We will get you someone in the top five soon.
  3. After careful consideration, I have conceded that, that would be a good fight to promote.

All I ask is that you be patient as we will be very busy for the next few days getting things sorted with this org. We will probably start booking fights in the next few days and they will be set for at least three weeks out to give people the opportunity to train for their opponents.

An Interview with prospect Arlo Flower Power Rochester
0 -0
19 Years Old
Height: 6 2
Fights at 170
Hometown: Wichita, KS
Fighting Out of: Los Angeles
Signed to: RISE

Q. So Arlo, how did you get into fighting?
A: I took Karate when I was younger, against my parents wishes. My parents are complete hippies, and never wanted me to get into fighting. I stopped Karate, but MMA was something I was still incredibly interested in. While taking the summer off of baseball, I decided id take up Jiu Jitsu. That was a couple summers ago. Everything falls into place, and I ended up competing in my first professional fight a week ago.

Q. Did you inherit any of that Hippie BS from your parents?
A. For sure. Im really into yoga, and so I train it often. Im also really into meditation. Im vegetarian, which really helps make 155 even though Im 62. Ive delved into other hippie traditions as well. Lets just say that I had a nickname I liked better, but it was already taken by Nick Diaz during his Strikeforce days.

Q. A lot of people have compared you to the Diaz brothers.
A. Theyre definitely my idols, I watched them all the time growing up. I think I have a similar build, and my cardio is one of my strengths. I dont have knock out power, but just like the diaz bros, I focus on volume instead of power.

Q. So youre from Kansas. How was the move to LA?
Its not at all what I imagined. I wasnt expecting this many people. It takes so much longer to get everywhere. It has been an adjustment. That being said, I think the move out to LA was a great career move. Im currently training at 11th Planet Jiu Jitsu. Ive been spending a lot of time with 4x Kansas state wrestling Champ Jared Morgan. I recently signed with RISE, a company that im really Excited to be a part of.

Q. What do you hope to get out of your fighting career?
A. I think something that Im always chasing is respect. Im the same way in baseball. I want people to respect my abilities, and respect my presence as an athlete. Im not the biggest guy in the cage, but I know I have the most heart.

Q. Do you think your baseball career will get in the way of your MMA career?
A. Well see how it goes. Baseball has been a lifelong passion of mine, but realistically, the average professional career is 3 years. I expect to be done playing by the time im 24. After that, I can fully commit to MMA. That ebing said, I think the baseball experience has helped my fight game. Ive developed strong legs and a mean right hook, both from baseball. So Im excited to see how that will translate to full time MMA.

we currently are in a holding pattern until the first card RFL-44 goes off. Once that happens there will be a flurry of fight offers being sent out. Victor Creed and many others will likely be getting fight offers. For the past three weeks we have been recruiting heavily and it is, slowly but surely, paying off. The title holders will all be fighting again real soon also. Expect at least two of them to be on the RFL-47 card. More to follow.

Co-Main Event

20w18.jpg 40b7.jpg

Von Kaiser            Vs    Andrew Conford

Natural weight: 185lbs                                                                               Natural weight: 200lbs

Age: 27                                                                                                      Age: 27

Record: 7-1-0                                                                                            Record: 6-3-0

Country: Germany                                                                                    Country: UK

Rank:N/A                                                                                                   Rank: N/A

Height: 172 cm                                                                                           Height: 190 cm

This should be a good one we've got here. Von Kaiser is arguably the number one contender in this division while Andrew Conford is a couple spots back. This will be the first fight for both men under the RISE organization. Who will come out victorious in their debut?

Kaiser coming into this fight is probably a more well known name than even the champ Carmelo Anthony with a lot of hype behind the former Torcida champ. He's riding off a 3 fight win streak all coming by stoppage. He's got good technical boxing with an accomplished wrestling background and he's exciting to watch as 6 of his 7 wins have come from knockout.

Conford is coming off a loss but he's looking to build up some momentum with a win over Kaiser here. Conford has much of the same style of fighting as Kaiser as he's a little more of an accomplished wrestler. Conford the bigger man by a solid 18 cm should have the reach advantage which he's going to look to use to continue his 100% KO rate.

14271120979414.jpg3w5.jpg

"Magic" Mike Sadollah   Vs  Jake "Knee Machine" Baldwin

Natural weight: 137 lbs                                                                           Natural weight: 145 lbs

Age: 28                                                                                                  Age: 25

Record: 10-2-0                                                                                      Record: 1-0-0

Country: Canada                                                                        Country: New Zealand

Rank: 2                                                                                                Rank: Unranked

Height: 165 cm                                                                                     Height: 160 cm

The former 135 lbs. champ Magic Mike Sadollah is looking to rebound from losing his title as he moves up to the 145 lbs division to take on an up and coming prospect in Jake Baldwin.

Sadollah is a high level Muay Thai practitioner which solid wrestling which he uses to avoid bringing the fight to the ground. He's going to have to show off those wrestling skills as he does not want to be grappling with Baldwin. He's got a granite chin which is going to put to the test against the bigger Baldwin.

Jake Baldwin's got one professional fight to his name and he won that in an easy decision. He's a solid thai boxer himself but his strongest weapon are his deadly knee strikes as his nickname "Knee Machine" implies. Where Sadollah uses strong wrestling to keep the fight on the feet, Baldwin's a blue belt in jiujitsu and is not afraid when he finds himself on the ground. How he's going to get there against Sadollah is a different question.

With the big experience advantage Sadollah has will it be enough for a successful debut in the RISE 145 lb division for Sadollah or will the relatively unknown Baldwin come up with a surprise for the viewers?

Preliminary Card

37a2.jpg    Chief "Grizzly" Bear Vs Max Onera   23w27.jpg

Natural weight: 199 LBS                                                                               Natural weight: 191 LBS

Age: 20                                                                                                    Age: 27

Record: 11-5-0                                                                                            Record: 6-6-0

Country: United States                                                                                Country: Canada

Rank:N/A                                                                                                   Rank: N/A

Height: 190 cm                                                                                           Height: 196 cm

New to the RISE Fight League, Chief "Grizzly" Bear looks to make a statement in his debut against the veteran Max Onera. Bear is primarily a wrestler and he'll look to scramble and keep Onera off his rhythm. Onera's a strong boxer with a brown belt in BJJ so he has the advantage if he keeps things at a distance standing up. If things go to the ground Onera is comfortable off his back as he's got 3 submission victories to his name. This should be an interesting matchup as Bear is going to be looking for a finish. All of his 16 professional fights have ended by stoppage with 9 of his wins coming by TKO to go with 2 submissions.

28b20.jpg Chris Cornell Vs Thor "God" Ragardo 39b22.jpg

Natural weight: 260 LBS                                                                               Natural weight: 268 LBS

Age: 27                                                                                                   Age: 24

Record: 7-6-0                                                                                            Record: 3-5-0

Country: United States                                                                                Country: United States

Rank:N/A                                                                                                   Rank: N/A

Height: 180 cm                                                                                           Height: 198 cm

In this matchup we've got Chris Cornell who's joined RISE after switching camps. He's a prototypical grapper with excellent wrestling and a solid purple belt in BJJ. He's very dangerous on the ground as he's got 5 submission victories professionally. He's up against Ragardo who's coming off a loss to Musa Kendali in RISE 42. Ragardo's 3-3 in the RISE Fight League so far and is looking to build up some steam. He's got solid boxing fundamentals and is a strong wrestler himself. This looks to be another episode of striker vs grappler matchup but who will come out on top?

37w40.jpg  Riley Knox Vs Jack MaHogoff 40w18.jpg

Natural weight: 216 LBS                                                                               Natural weight: 199 LBS

Age: 19                                                                                                   Age: 27

Record: 4-2-0                                                                                            Record: 4-3-0

Country: United States                                                                                Country: United States

Rank:N/A                                                                                                   Rank: N/A

Height: 188 cm                                                                                           Height: 187 cm

We got a couple of new faces in this fight as both Riley Knox and Jack MaHogOff are new signings for the RISE Fight League. Knox is an accomplished wrestler who's worked on his striking and it'll show here against MaHogOff who's got quite the forgettable stand up. MaHogOff on the other hand is an equally accomplished wrestler but he's built on that wrestling base by adding a submission threat as the purple belt in BJJ is very dangerous on the ground. This may be another striker vs grappler matchup with a twist as both fighters are very good wrestlers. We'll see if Knox can take advantage on the feet or if MaHogOff can get this down on the ground where he can threaten from his back and from top position.

Dillveux against Caugh brings us two struggling fighters both on 3 fight losing streaks as one of them is going to break out of this slide. Dillveux started out strong with RISE as he won 3 in a row after losing his debut but since then has dropped 3 fights in a row. He's a heavyweight brown belt BJJ practitioner with good wrestling he uses to set up his ground game. Minor Caugh on the other hand is an all round fighter who's joined RISE looking to turn things around not having the best showing with Beach Fights. Dillveux's wins all come from stoppage as he's finished 4 of his opponents by submission and the rest by TKO. Caugh may only have 3 wins to his record but they all come from TKO so don't expect this fight to come to a decision. He'll have the advantage on the feet but we'll see if he can keep Dillveux off him.

We've got a couple newcomers in this fight with Tony Maa and Francisco Gonzalez. Tony Maa is making his MMA debut transitioning from kickboxing. He's an exceptional Muay Thai boxer and will be a major threat any time he's on his feet. On the other end we have 25 year old Gonzalez is a well rounded MMA fighter but some may call him a Jack of all trades and a master of none. He's got decent stand up but nothing that can match Maa's pedigree so he'll look to test Maa's takedown defense and grappling skills if he can get him to the ground. Will the nak muay survive his first test in MMA or will Gonzalez use Maa as a stepping stone to make his name in the RISE Fight League?

Natural weight: 153 LBS                                                                               Natural weight: 145 LBS

Age: 19                                                                                                  Age: 18

Height: 175 cm                                                                                           Height: 180 cm

For this undercard match we have a couple young up and comers with the boxer Halloway facing off against Bear "Brand" Max. Halloway is an exciting boxer with a granite chin and KO power knocking out 4 of his 6 opponents. Max comes into this fight relatively unknown with his only professional fight being a decision loss in one of the QFC Tournaments. He's got BJJ blue belt which will help him against Halloway as "Cursed" looked quite lost on the ground the one time he got caught in a kimura. Halloway should out class Max on the feet but will he be able to showcase his skill while watching out for the takedowns?

Natural weight: 274 LBS                                                                               Natural weight: 275 LBS

Age: 20                                                                                                  Age: 20

Rank:N/A                                                                                                   Rank: N/A

Height: 210 cm                                                                                           Height: 195 cm

We got a couple of 20 yr old rookies for this undercard fight. Kmeldov last and only venture to the cage saw him getting knocked out cold in less than a minute but he's since gone back and improved on his game. What can he show us here against Kodjia who makes his professional debut? Kodjia looks to be a good Thai kickboxer while Kmeldov is coming from more of a boxing background. Both have put in some solid work on their wrestling and both fighters are purple belts in BJJ. This should be a fairly entertaining match up with expectations up in the air as it'll be the first look for many at what both of these fighters can offer.

Only a few hours until the first event of the New Era of RISE Fight League. You don't want to miss this historic event as RISE bursts forth from the ashes of the previous management to re-establish itself on the local scene and eventually the global scene as well. Please join us at the Hard Knocks - Los Angeles for this event starting at 6pm PDT. We hope to see you all there.

I will be there of course - in the corner of one of my most experienced fighters Von Kaiser. Busy schedule having just been to another fight at JBL in London and before that one at BFF in Tokyo all in the same day. But certainly wouldn't miss seeing RISE rise again

I've seen you mention this a few times but to be quite honest the toughest challenge Humble and I had was keeping you and your bunch of clowns from poaching entire divisions from RISE.

Humble happened to actually be in your alliance and your alliance chat genius. So he saw everything.

What you did to Torcida and RISE was shameful, with all that money from who was it again? Karter that originally bankrolled you?  Our starting 2k contracts could not compete with what you were offering and you absolutely sank both companies and with it the 320k ID.

What we dislike about you is not that you avoid fights and give yourself the easiest route to belts, that is standard douchebaggery by mediocre managers.

What we dislike about you is that you absolutely destabilized a bracket and then come in with more big bucks patting yourself in the back for a problem you created.  Humble was good peoples, I'd rather have him back in the game than your entire alliance.
