nandorossi Posted February 28, 2014 Report Share Posted February 28, 2014 Well we finished up Heavyweights and congrats to Don Fry for winning. He is one of the reasons I love MMA to this day! With that being said its time to start Light Heavyweights, and I have compiled a list of 20. There may be some of your favorites missing but I did my best to make the best list of 20 while only taking fighters that were suggested from the Heavyweight thread. Rules 1) Copy and paste the current totals from the last person to vote. Then give one fighter a +1 and two fighters a -2. When we get down to only two fighters left its +1 and a single -2 not -4. You may not choose to -4 someone at any point, it must be two fighters receiving a -2. 2) Do to some confusion from the Heavyweights I am going to say one vote per day from each person. So if you vote today and only one other person votes before tomorrow go ahead and vote again on the next day. Please wait until the next day to do the voting though, that way everyone gets at least a chance to throw down their picks. This thing goes quick when we get down to the final 4 or so. 3) Have fun and create debate. We got a lot of chatter back and fourth during the Heavyweight voting and it always made it a little better when he got the discussions. For me its like you can add 1 fighter in 1 weight class so if Anderson would be in LHW you can't add him in MW that's why I gave Couture -2 because for me he is HW. Silva did fight at LHW but I am assuming he is going to flat out win MDW. I did not see him on the post from the HW suggestions so I would have considered him more if I did see him there. I also did not include Rich Franklin at LHW even though he was nominated. Couture did at least win the LHW title in UFC even though I am not only taking champions but it does help legitimize those who fought at different classes.
