IMMA 43 preview

taking place tonight, 5th September at the Hard Knocks Arena, London.

265+lbs Mark "The Hater" McCain(8-4-0){5-3-0} vs John "Islander" Doe(13-7-0){0-2-0}

After a couple of losses McCain has had a recent surge of performance and has put together 2 back to back wins to put him amongst the top contenders, he really has some momentum now and will be difficult to stop. His wrestling skills were put to the test in his last fight with McClinch but he came up smelling of roses with another victory to his name whilst taking a decent scalp.

Doe joined Impact from the Island and his good form and high ranking saw him competing against some of the best fighters in the 265+ division. He didn't quite have the confidence to start with but hopefully he will have re-gained his composure now and give McCain a good run for his money. Doe matches McCain's wrestling skills but has a huge striking advantage, McCain will look to take this fight to the floor to use his impressive GnP whilst trying to avoid Doe's vicious elbows and powerful clinch.

My prediction: I think Doe has been unlucky and he will show the fans his true skills tonight by taking the win. Doe by TKO round 2.

170lbs Daisuke (Duke) Takemura(6-0-0){2-0-0} vs Ming "Tiny" Ling(8-1-0){2-0-0}

Takemura is currently undefeated, not only at Impact where he has notched up 2 wins in a row but in his whole career where he has gathered a 6 fight win streak. Takemura is a slippery ground fighter who loves nothing more than to take his opponents to the ground and then beat them with some devastating GnP, although he will need to take extra care tonight as he faces another equally impressive ground fighter.

Ling has only one loss to his name from much earlier in his career. He has since managed to get 4 wins on the bounce with an impressive 8 wins in total, all by submission. He won't have it all his own way tonight though as he gives up a small wrestling advantage to his opponent. Will that prove to be enough to take the win tonight?

My prediction: Both fighters are on great form, I'll stick my neck out and go with the submissions expert. Ling by submission in round 2

205lbs Olek "The Damned" Skilgannon(7-4-0){5-4-0} vs James Rush(4-1-0){1-1-0}

Skilgannon looks to be gathering confidence in his abilities after a nice victory in his last fight. He still hasn't been able to string together any great length of wins but his rank is proof enough that he is taking on some of the best fighters and walking away with the wins. Skilgannon is a submissions specialist with 5 of his 7 wins coming from submissions.

Rush is a wrestler with some fierce power in his gloves making him difficult for opponents to read. Skilgannon does have the bjj advantage tonight but Rush will be more than happy with his superior wrestling and striking technique. Rush could decide to try and keep the fight standing if he chooses as he more than capable of putting people away with his fists. If it goes to ground it should be a great battle between these two.

My prediction: Difficult to call this one but I think Rush may be too slippery for his opponent tonight. Rush by TKO in round 3

205lbs Cas Maverick(6-2-0){2-2-0} vs "Lumber" Jack Silver(4-2-0){1-1-0}

Maverick is a superb boxer who has taken a couple of big names before bumping into Okunaba, who proved just too much for him and ended up stopping his win streak dead in its tracks. No worries about ground skills tonight as he will be facing an out and out striker. A great chance for him to show case his stand up skills and wow the crowd.

Silver is an excellent striker, being trained in both the art of Muay Thai fighting and in boxing. He has only had 2 fights so far with Impact. His debut was an unfortunate loss late in the 3rd round but he certainly made it for it and won a lot of fans in his last fight when he finished his opponent by knockout - flying knee. Silver is a quiet fighter who lets his fists do the talking, his team mate Liam McGuiness has more than enough to say for both of them in his mis-guided loyalty to his team mate. Maverick will have his hands full tonight and will have his skills tested to the limit by Silver. If Maverick can take Silver into the clinch there could be a chance that he will be able to work his opponent over. But it could also be a case of Russian Roulette as his opponent has much better Muay Thai skills.

My prediction: I think Silver could be the slight favourite in this one although anything could happen. Silver by TKO in round 3

170lbs Omari Akhmedov(6-3-0){4-3-0} vs Hades Longinius(2-0-0){1-0-0}

Arkhmedov has had a pretty successful time at Impact and has been in or around the contenders pretty much the whole of the time. With decent wrestling, bjj and striking skills it really does give him some ability to change tactics on the go and give him the best possible chance of winning.

Longinius made an impressive debut by putting away a much more experienced, similarly skilled fighter. At just 20 yrs of age he already has superb wrestling technique with some very decent striking ability. He has a very bright future ahead of him and is already on a 2 fight win streak with him remaining undefeated at this point in his short career. Akhmedov could be tempted to try and keep the fight standing to use striking and height advantage but I see this fight going to the ground before long.

My prediction: Longinius's superior wrestling skills will probably come in to play tonight. Longinius by decision.

155lbs Jimmy "Killer" Karl(5-5-0){4-5-0} vs Geghard "The Lion" Karekin(2-2-0){2-2-0}

Karl has been at Impact almost from the day it started and is a huge favourite with the fans. He has bounced up and down the division a little, managing to get quite close to the top of the division at times but consistency let him down. He is a well-rounded fighter and will step into the cage with a striking advantage tonight, something which he appears to enjoy so there could be fireworks and a win for him tonight.

Karekin has had 4 fights with 2 losses, both losses went to the judges so he clearly has the skill and endurance but just needs that little extra to win over the judges or find the finish. He will be entering the cage with superior wrestling skills to Karl's striking advantage and if he can take Karl down early, he may well be taking away a victory.

My prediction: I think Karl could be more eager for the win tonight. Karl by TKO in round 2.

205lbs Myron "Anacrusis" Echoes(8-2-0){1-2-0} vs "The" Super Fly(2-0-0){1-0-0}

Echoes was on a 7 fight win streak before joining Impact. The move clearly upset his rhythm and a couple of losses followed. In his last fight, he looked to have found his confidence once again and found his way to his 1st victory. He will look to use this momentum and try to continue to rack up the wins once again. His confidence should still be high as he knows he will have the wrestling and bjj advantage in tonight's bout.

Super Fly made an impressive debut in his first fight for Impact with a 1st round submission. He will be down on wrestling and bjj skills compared to Echoes but will be happy in the fact that he has superb Muay Thai skill and will probably look to keep the fight standing although he could have some excellent defence if he should get caught by surprise.

My prediction: A tough fight for both but I think Fly's striking skill could get him another well-deserved win if he can finish his opponent early. Fly by TKO in round 2.

155lbs Tyrion "The Imp" Lannister(5-4-0){3-4-0} vs Lard "Vendetta Ice" Pecs(1-3-0){0-0-0}

Lannister has had a bit of a chequered career at Impact with some decent wins and a few losses. He has been good enough to see himself fairly matched against some of the top fighters in the division and even earnt himself a title shot in the past. His manager has done a superb job at looking after his morale and physical condition. Lannister is submission expert with a decent amount of wrestling to help his ground game. He will be looking to take his opponent down early tonight and walk away with a much needed win.

Pecs started his career in a KT org but after 3 losses and talks with his manager decided that it wasn't for him and switched to MMA. A great switch too as in his first MMA fight he walked away with a 1st round victory by KO(head kick). His striking skills are excellent and he looks to have been working hard on his defensive skills too. This fight will be a big test for him as he faces a brown belt in bjj. He will be looking for an early finish too I imagine, probably looking to land one of his lethal head kicks before Lannister can gain any momentum.

My prediction. If Lannister succeeds in taking the fight to the floor it could be all over, but Pecs has some lethal KO power and Lannister will have to be very careful. Pecs by TKO round 2.

205lbs Jamezdin Shraf(7-5-0){0-1-0} vs "Dorky Corky" Touko Vanhanen(3-3-0){0-1-0}

Both fighters unfortunately lost their debut fights last time out but will be looking to make amends in this bout. Shraf is a ground fighter with a flair for finding submissions that most other fighters can’t. He will be confident in knowing that he will also have a wrestling advantage in tonight’s bout which could make all the difference if the fight goes to ground.

Vanhanen matches his opponent in terms of bjj skill but will have a huge striking advantage. He knows he must get an early finish or run the risk or getting tied up by a better ground fighter. His defensive ground skills could be put under pressure if he gets taken off guard and the fight ends up on the canvas.

My prediction: A tough fight to call. I'll stick my neck and call Vanhanen to take this one. His bjj skills maybe enough for him to wriggle free, and with his superior boxing skill, a TKO won't be far away. Vanhanen by TKO in round 3.

"Lumber" Jack Silver (247679)

Congrats to my opponent Cas Maverick for the good fight. I knew you were dangerous coming in when you defeated my training partner Liam McGuiness and you didn't disappoint.

Thanks for a good fight! You got me with a couple of good hits and i'm gonna be out of training for a while. I'm gonna make my way down to Sully's for a quick feed before getting back into the swing of things. Cas, if you have time i'd like to buy you a beer as we exchange war stories before we get back into training.

Alright Mazzuca, the time for talking is almost over.

You have been talking enough shite about me and your cheating, mongrel days are OVER!!!

The sight of your ugly, hairy face is enough to make any man ANGRY! And when we step into the cage all your $hit talking will come to an end as i knock off your silly mustache!!!

...And when i am finished fighting in the cage, i will make my way down to Sully's Bar & Grill where i can sit back, relax and enjoy a nice cold beer in a nice friendly atmosphere. The smooth crisp taste goes down well with a nice bucket of the fresh home made chicken.

Ahhh, Sully's HB. It's refreshing!

"2.0" Robert Mazzuca

"Listen punk, you've clearly been eating too much fried chicken, because all I hear is "pwock pwock pwoooock". Seriously though, I don't know how you scored a high IQ, because you're delusional and pretty much fucked up in the brain. I don't even know why I bother replying to you, I feel like I'm wasting my time.

You're getting KOed in the first round boy. I've been focusing my training on an aspect I'm not even going to need against you. Training has been focused on my ground game, while I'm going to KO you with a single punch. You're no match for me, and you know it, so stop making a big story out of this, I may even grab a beer at Sully's after our 1 minute brawl."

THE ONLY GROUND GAME YOU WILL BE SEEING IS WHEN I KNOCK YOUR SILLY MUSTACHE AND FAKE SUNGLASSES OFF YOUR FAT SMELLY HEAD!!!!!

AND WHEN I AM FINISHED WITH YOU, I'M GONNA GO TO SULLY'S AND ENJOY A NICE BEER AND COOK MYSELF A JUICY STEAK!!!!

...As you know, being a mix martial artist is very hard and draining work. All the hours of training, blood sweat and tears that we put in the cage is enough to put a strain on even the toughest of the tough. And what better way to relax and calm down than to crack open an ice cold Sully's Home Brew lager and sit back and relax with a ice juicy steak. Now available at Sully's Bar & Grill.

GRRRRR I CAN'T WAIT TO SHUT YOU UP!! ALL YOUR SMACK TALK IS REALLY GRINDING MY GEARS!!! AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

"Not sure if I should take this as a joke, laugh at it, or simply pity you, because man you sound like a retard. Kinda scared to go down at Sully's after I KO you, since I don't know if it's the water he brews his beer with... were you born that stupid? Please explain.

Only a few hours before the fight, I'm pumped! I'm all packed and I'm about to get in the plane. You're stupid as fuck, but at least you can hype a fight, a fight you will most likely get out on a stretcher with cuts all over your face, but I hope I don't rock you too hard, I want you to remember the beating I gave you."

I'm making my debut for Impact MMA - (235k+ ID) in 7 days. Don't be a fool and take me lightly! i have the KO-power of Roy Nelson and the body of Alistair Overeem.

My chin and willpower has been tested many times but no one was able to (t)KO me. I once have suffered the worst beating ever ,by a very good fighter, according to the org's owner,but i still wasn't wobled. I dare you to stand and trade with me Hessu "Hemohessi" Suihkija (241878) . I'm very confident it would be a very tough night for you. No mather what you try, i'm going to give you a ticket to the hospital for sure!!! I look forward to smashing faces, braking bones and going for total destruction. Good luck to my opponent. I respect you for accepting the fight, but once we are in the cage, i'll no longer be a respectful friendly guy, but a damn hungry lion hunting for his prey!!!

"Lucky" Liam McGuiness (246080)

Well well, after months of training, it was great to step into the cage with a fine, young gentleman such as Mazzuca. You have proven time and time again that you are the real deal and i have to say that despite all the trash talking my team mate Jack Silver has said about you in the past, it was an honour to lock horns with a warrior such as yourself.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/37/37w18.jpg

"Lumber" Jack Silver (247679)

Huh?? What did i say???

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14041311491144.jpg

"Lucky" Liam McGuiness (246080)

Don't you remember?? It all started when you fought all those months ago. He knocked you out and you started with the name calling.

You been nothing but trouble leading up to this fight! Trying to make trouble by calling Mazzuca names and implying he is a cheat!! Frankly if you weren't my team mate i would whoop your ass myself!!!

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/37/37w18.jpg

"Lumber" Jack Silver (247679)

I am speechless......

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14041311491144.jpg

"Lucky" Liam McGuiness (246080)

GOOD!! Because frankly you've done enough!! And stop interrupting my interview, it's rude!!

Anyway, Mazzuca congrats on the win! We have to go to Sully's where we can have a beer and hopefully i can clear up this mess! I've always thought you were a class act and you proved it when we fought.

(whispers) And i'm sorry about my team mate Jack Silver's words. I think he's taken a few too many hits to the head. He doesn't mean it. He's actually a really nice guy when you get to know him. I SWEAR!!!

I'm sad that this party is about over ;(

Yeah I know! I have 5 fighters here at one point. Greatest org I've ever been in. So thanks to my former mentee Stu for the great times!

PS. This is my 500th forum post, I'm opening a beer to celebrate that.

I agree, this has been one of the best org ive been a part of so far.

Thanks for the kind comments, I'm only sorry that I don't have enough time to carry on running it.

It's all down to the superb managers that have made it a great org so a big thank you to all for making it such a great experience and a pleasure to work with you all.

Only a few events left until the doors close at Impact but time to dust off some cob webs and get on with the preview for tonight's event.

IMMA 45 Masters vs Moya preview

170lbs Welterweight Title Fight Ken Masters(10-2-0){3-1-0} vs Enrico Moya(5-1-0){5-1-0}

Masters has had 4 fights since arriving at Impact and has only been beaten by the now ex-champion Souza in a title fight attempt. Masters is now back again for a second shot at the title now it is un-claimed due to Souza's retirement (inactivity). Masters is a great all round fighter and great wrestler who seems just as happy to stand and bang as he is comfortable on the canvas dropping bombs. At 27 years old he's no spring chicken but he does have a wealth of experience to draw on in tonight's bout.

Moya joined Impact not long after it opened its doors for business and has had a very successful career here. He has only lost once, on his debut fight but has since gone on to put together a 5 fight win streak. He is an impressive Muay Thai fighter but he is well rounded. His wrestling skills aren't too far away from the standard of his opponent so it certainly won't be an easy fight for Masters.

My prediction: This one really is too difficult to call. Both fighters deserve their title shots and both will make great champions.

205lbs Tom "Bain" Hardy(8-4-0){0-0-0} vs "Sergeant" Harrison Yates(4-0-0){2-0-0}

Hardy is all set to make his debut tonight but he is by no means an inexperienced new fighter. He has already notched up 12 fights under his belt with 1 attempt so far at the title. Hardy is a ground fighter primarily, with 6 submissions from his 8 wins it tells us he lightning quick on the ground when it comes to getting submissions. He also has decent striking skills and impressive wrestling technique. He will certainly be testing Harrison's defences tonight.

Harrison was a very vocal fighter in the smack talk when he first joined up and put a lot of manager’s noses out of place, he seems to be taking this fight very seriously and has been very quiet presumably focussing on training rather than attempting to rattle his opponent. Harrison is a superb striker with a decent ground game. He has won both his fights at Impact but this looks to be his toughest fight so far. It will be interesting to see how he does tonight. Harrison has some serious power in both his hands and feet, scoring early knockouts in both his bouts. Hardy will have to be careful not to get caught when looking for a takedown otherwise it could be curtains for him. If Hardy does take this fight to the floor it's by no means over as Harrison looks to have the skills to put up a decent defence on the ground too.

My prediction: This all looks set to be a great fight and could go either way. If I had to stick my neck out I'd go with the more experienced Hardy to win. Hardy by submission in round 3.

205lbs George "The Demolisher" West(7-2-0){0-0-0} vs Hessu "Hemohessi" Suihkija(2-0-0){0-0-0}

Next up, 2 more fighters making their debuts for Impact. West is an accomplished boxer who has been blessed with heavy hands with 7 wins to his name all by t(ko) in the early rounds. He held the Light Heavyweight title for a brief time before the org he was fighting at unfortunately closed down. He looks in great shape and should put on an amazing show for the crowds tonight, we have a good chance of seeing KO of the night in this fight.

Suihkija, also making his debut, has only had 2 fights so far and this will be his first fight for an org. He has impressive Muay Thai skills but seems to prefer to use his wrestling skills to fight on the ground, looking to drop bombs or seek out a submission. His skillset will give him plenty of defensive options while he stands looks for a takedown and will certainly make West's job of looking for a KO much more difficult.

My prediction: Not too much is known about Suihkija, if he is able to use his wrestling skills to tie West up in the clinch he could have an advantage. I will go for the more experienced, explosive power of West. West by TKO in round 2.

170lbs "Peerless" Pernell Karl(5-3-){3-3-0} vs James "Sully" McGuiness(7-6-1){0-0-0}

Karl has had a total of 6 fights since joining Impact, with 3 wins and 3 losses but those stats really don't do justice to how good a fighter Karl actually is. He has been only inches away from securing a title fight on a number of occasions but just hasn't been able to pull it off in the final bout leading up to it. He has fought Moya, who is himself fighting for the title tonight, and went the distance only to come away with a close loss on points. His most recent fight showed that he still needs a little work on his ground game but that shouldn't be a worry tonight as it looks like we could be in for a classic stand up fight. Karl is a superb boxer with lightning quick reflexes with all of his wins coming by T(KO)'s.

McGuiness is another fighter all set to make his debut tonight. McGuiness started his career on the Island and quickly became a household name not only for his fighting but to his mighty home brew that he created in his free time. He has no gone on to become a multi-media star with his own talk shows and has also opened up his own bar. Away from all the glitz and glamor he also a fantastic boxer and will give Karl a good run for his money in tonight's bout, no doubt making a lot of new fans on the way.

My prediction: Karl is a great fighter with dangerous hands, he will be looking to make his last fight for Impact a win and won't be an easy opponent. McGuiness also has serious power in his gloves and could have the edge once the crowd get behind him. This one is too tough for me to pick a winner.

155lbs Toktogulovich Bakiyev(2-2-0){2-0-0} vs "Don" Carlo Gambino(2-0-0){1-0-0}

Bakiyev didn't have the best of starts to his career but has certainly put that right after signing up to join Impact. He initially joined on a 2 fight losing streak but has since gone on to notch up 2 impressive wins. He is a great striker and will look to end Gambino's fight early before he can even think about taking Bakiyev down.

Gambino had an impressive victory in his debut fight last time out. This impressive wrestler showed his ground skills by beating another wrestler on the ground and took submission of the night. He has since trained up some decent striking ability which will no doubt help to fend off the blows thrown by his opponent tonight while he looks for the right opportunity to take his opponent down. Bakiyev could stop this fight early if Gambino is not careful, if Gambino does manage to take the fight to the floor I think it will be all over. However, Gambino's flight looks to have him a little jetlagged and his energy is as good as it could have been, this could make a difference to tonight's result.

My prediction: Normally a very difficult and dangerous fight for both fighters but I think Bakiyev has the edge due to Gambino's unfortunate energy loss. Bakiyev by TKO in round 2.

155lbs Dan "Fist" Dimont(4-4-0){0-1-0} vs Raymond "Jolt" Holt(3-2-0){0-0-0}

Dimont has only had one fight at Impact and it was an unfortunate loss to the impressive Jeffrey Winshire, no shame in that. Dimont almost caused an upset by going the full distance and but lost on points. Dimont is a superb wrestler who likes nothing better than getting up close and personal on the canvas and dropping hammerfists on his opponents face. He also has the advantage of a purple belt in bjj giving him opportunities to look or defend against submissions.

Holt is another fighter making his first appearance in front of the Impact fans tonight. In his short career he has managed to put together a decent win streak before losing in his last fight, something he'll be looking to set right in tonight’s bout. Holt has decent wrestling skills himself, not quite up to Dimont's standards but he does have very decent boxing skills which will give him a huge advantage if he can keep the fight standing. He seems versatile enough to be able to fight comfortably in the clinch or on the ground and could keep Dimont on his toes.

My prediction: It will be a fight for Holt if it goes to ground, if he can keep the fight standing he has every chance of catching his opponent with a big punch. Difficult to call but I think I'll go with Dimont as I think he has a lot more to show us tonight. Dimont by TKO in round 3.

265+lbs Farrohk Madhi(3-0-0){0-0-0} vs Randall Wallace(4-2-0){1-1-0}

Madhi is joining Impact after 3 impressive wins. He is a talented boxer with serious stopping power who also is happy to fight up close in the clinch. With only one of his fights going the distance I expect Madhi will be looking to drop his opponent early in the first round for a quick victory.

Wallace has only had 2 fights for Impact with an impressive pints win on his debut but an unfortunate loss to a better ground fighter in his last bout. He will be looking to go out in style with a win in his last fight for Impact and will probably rely on his clinch skills or try and take the fight to the ground if he can’t find any room for manoeuvre up close.

My prediction: If they both want to stand and fight it could go either way, if Wallace goes to ground I think he should over power his opponent. Wallace by decision.

205lbs Justin Timber(3-1-0){2-1-0} vs Billy Butcher(1-0-0){0-0-0}

Timber has managed to put away 2 out of his 3 opponents at Impact with impressive ground and pound. He is a very talented wrestler but he also has a decent amount of striking ability to either help defend or to use as offense against weaker opponents. Timber has already won against some great strikers but tonight’s fight will probably be his biggest test of his skills.

Butcher is another newcomer to Impact. He has had 1 fight at qfc level and won it in style with a first round KO. Not too much is known about Butcher at the moment but he has been training incredibly hard and will walk into the cage tonight looking like he could well be one of Impact's top boxers. He has the skill to fight at a distance or in the clinch and it will be interesting to see how he does against a wrestler like Timber.

My prediction: If Timber can get the fight to the floor I think he will walk away with the win, however I think Butcher skills will keep the fight up and he will catch Timber with a heavy punch. Butcher by TKO in round 1.

205lbs Winston Okafor(2-0-0){2-0-0} vs Seb "Scrapman" Freeth(2-3-0){2-2-0}

Okafor has had a very successful but short time at Impact. He has had 2 fights and has come away with 2 excellent victories. He has almost world class wrestling skill with a decent amount of training in both boxing and Muay Thai to make him a formidable fighter. So far we have only seen him fight in the clinch or at a distance but I'm wondering if he has a few more tricks up his sleeve that he has not shared with the fans yet.

Freeth had a shaky start at Impact with a win followed by 2 losses. His manager cleverly pulled him off active duties and had him train solidly for a couple of months. On his return to fighting he has been awarded with superb first round victory that also took fight of the night. Freeth has some decent striking ability but also has a brown belt in bjj, something he didn't even feel the need to use in his last fight when he won by TKO with his knees in the clinch. There's a lot for Okafor to think about in this bout.

My prediction: Going off what we have seen so far from both fighters, I would say Okafor is the underdog but his wrestling skills won't make it easy for Freeth to get the win in the clinch or on the ground tonight. I still think Okafor could surprise us tonight too. Freeth by decision.

265+lbs Gregory " Mountain" Clegane(2-3-0){2-1-0} vs Vlad " Bear" Vladimirovich(3-4-0){2-3-0}

Clegane had a shaky start to his career at Impact but looked like he had found his rhythm and confidence in his last bout when he won with an impressive KO by knee. He has some good striking ability with good wrestling skills which should give him a lot of control in tonight’s match up. His morale isn't sky high but that can easily be sorted with some regular new clothes or a victory tonight.

Vladimirovich has also had a shaky start with a couple of losses in his last few bouts. He does have the skills to score some decent wins as he has proved with 2 first round wins by KO in the past. He has some serious power in his hands and seems to favour fighting in the clinch but could have some decent sills to defend if the fight goes to the floor.

My prediction: It could go either way tonight but I think I'll go with the power of Vladimirovich. Vladimirovich by TKO in round 3.

Best of luck to everyone in their fights tonight. The usual bonuses still apply.

Man what a tough fight, it was the toughest of my career so far. I really think i would have won that fight under the 10 point must judging system but that wasnt the case. I would like to say its been my honor to fight for Impact. I do not know what the future holds for me, but i look forward to my next challenge

Sorry about the 10 point must, I've never used anything else but 10 point must but I must have screwed up somewhere along the line. It would have been nice to see one of you walk away with the belt even if it was your last fight for Impact.

Pernell Karl, i just want to say it was awesome stepping into the cage with you!!

Although my passion is brewing beers and running m bar & grill, i also miss the adrenaline of stepping in the cage and slugging it out!

I may not be the best fighter in the world, but i love it!!! But all that damage inflicted in the cage... So Pernell, when we both get out of hospital you need to make your way down to Sully's Bar & Grill for a few cold ones!!! First few rounds on me!!!!

On another note, looks like IMMA 46 Lang vs Bomb will be the last event for IMPACT.

Stu, it was an honour to fight for you, even if it was just for a short while. When all is said and done, hit up Sully's for the after party and knock down a few cold ones to celebrate one of the best orgs closing down! Go on, you deserve it~!!

Thanks Sully, unfortunately IMMA 46 Lang vs Bomb will be the last event to be held at Impact MMA and the doors will close shortly after that. Everyone will be released and given the opportunity to join Troid owned by Grant Brophy on the same contract/pay etc. It has taken slightly longer than expected but has been out of my hands and I do appologise about that.

I wish everyone's fighter the best of luck and want to thank everyone for their support.

I will be doing a preiview shorty for IMMA 46, there are still some great fights to come including the Super Heavyweight Title fight between "The One Man Wolf Pack" Josh Lang and Calm Like A Bomb.

  • 2 weeks later...

Impact MMA has now held it's final event and will be closing it's doors.. I would have loved to continue running it but unfortunately real life was starting to cut into my free time and I was worried I wouldn't be able to run it properly.

Thank you to everyone who helped and supported the org and for everyone's patience in the final few days with contracts etc. It was a pleasure working with so many great managers and I wish you the best of luck with your fighters.
