  1. Weekend Recap The biggest news I got for you is Ravi Shankoli is still the middleweight champion after defeating Dick Army in the second round by TKO. Which saddens me because I really love Dick...... Army. In fact both title fights this week had the champion hold onto the title. Stephen Bushiri remains the champ for the Bantamweight division after his rematch with predator Burns. The last time they met the fight ended in a draw, so it was a much awaited bout. But in the rematch Stephen Bushiri dominated, losing none of the rounds against Burns. DFN #44 Fight of the Night Edward Kenway vs. Marco Ajax For Edward Kenways debut he sure put on a show winning fight of the night against Marco Ajax. The first round went in favor of Marco Ajax but either his heart wasn't in it, or his conditioning is degrading because he lost the next two rounds. Kenway dominated in the clinch and was slightly better striking from the outside but overall he did an amazing job and won the fight. Winner By decision: Edward Kenway Larson Picker vs Don Fagaro Larson Picker out classed Don Fagaro in a fairly short fight. Picker TKO'd Fagaro nine seconds in the second round. After seeing his performance Fagaro needs to work on his accuracy. Winner By TKO: Larson Picker Bill Newton vs. Guillermo Pato I don't think Pato should of shown at this event, he surely didn't act like he wanted to be there. In his defense he did attempt to throw a few hands but none of them hit and once he was tooken down that was all there was Bill Newton made quick work of that fight. This will also be Bill Newton's second sub of the night in a row, so congratulations to him for that! Winner By Submission: Bill Newton DFL # 151 Peter Parker vs. Eric Staal Peter Parker is back on his feet after two knock outs in a row, I think he'll be getting that title shot to get what was previously his. Although this knockout against Eric Staal came awfully close to the end of the second round, Parker is not a fighter to rest on laurels right before the end of a round. This comes as a set back for Eric Staal who was on a three fight win streak with his last loss being against Peter Parker. He definetly held on a bit longer this time but still couldn't beat him. This means that Peter Parker will be going against Ravi Shankoli, hopefully he's ready for that, I know I wouldn't want to fight Shankoli! Winner By KO: Peter Parker Gracie Allen vs. Karter Kinshaw It's always crazy to see a fighter who dominated two rounds in a row and was on his way to winning the fight hands down by decision to get TKO'd midway through the last round. All he had to do was hold on a bit longer!! But Kinshaw couldn't do it. He landed so many more strikes to. Hell when Allen was leaving the fight he looked like a bus ran over him. It goes to show that Gracie Allen has a strong heart and the eye of a tiger, he didn't back down one bit. Knocking Kinshaw out at 2:50 of Round 3. Winner By TKO: Gracie Allen Lukas Hanak vs. Synyx Stall Hanak has been calling out the lightweight division since his arrival to the DFL. He's been ignored until now, I think. This is his fourth fight in a row He's won, and to put it in perspective he's only had four fights in the DFL. Biro, give this man a title shot!! Hanak is hungry for the belt. Hanak was the much more aggressive fighter. It didn't matter if it was on the ground or on his toes he dominated the match, hopefully he can continue his good performance when fights the top of his division. Winner By Decision: Lukas Hanak
  2. DFN #44 Picker vs. Fagaro Live at the Empire Indoor Arena sponsored by Sin City Allstars. The Main Event Lightweight Bout Larson Picker (18-8) vs. Don Fagaro (17-13) These two have fought previously before and it was during one another's debut match at DFL #96. Don Fagaro won that bout via submission late in the first round. Will tonight be a different outcome? I can't give a definite answer on that. Larson Picker has went onto win 7 out of his next 10 bouts, mainly winning by TKO's or KO's. While Fagaro has went onto to win 6 of his next 11 bouts. Both fighters are very well rounded fighters and can usually handle a fight anywhere in the cage. But when it comes to this particular match Picker is the better striker, but when it comes to grappling Fagaro will have the upper hand. Either way both of these fighters are some of the better lightweigthts so its going to be a huge fight in the division. Co-main Event Lightweight Bout Marco Ajax (35-17-1) vs. Edward Kenway (26-11-3) This will be Marco Ajax's third fight in the DFL, he lost his debut match but came back to beat Dexter Scarface via TKO in the second round of their fight. Now he'll be welcoming an old foe into the DFL, Edward Kenway. Both previously fought for the now defunct underground and have fought each other twice. Both fights went in favor of Edward Kenway, it'll be up to Ajax to turn the tide. With a comparison of the two fighters, Kenway will have the advantage in the stand up, but Ajax will have a significant advantage when it comes to grappling. Main Card Light Heavyweight Bout Mike Snow (16-8) vs. Darth Sidious (22-17) Neither of these two fighters have been able to do any good in the DFL, obviously one of them is going to take home a win tonight. But both fighters surely need it. Mike Snow hasn't won a single fight in the org, while Darth Sidious has only won a fight. Darth Sidious will be the favorite to win in this fight although both are brawlers when it comes to striking Darth Sidious is the more skilled and experienced fighter. But Snow could out the two on an even playing field if he brings Sidious to the ground. Middleweight Bout Guillermo Pato (11-5-1) vs. Bill Newton (12-8-1) Pato and Newton are both young and upcoming fighters and will be the future of the DFL soon. Both are extremely talented young fighters and tonight they'll be facing off. Pato is a superb Muay Thai fighter with 9 wins via KO's while his opponent Newton has 9 wins via submission. Both fighters will be coming into this fight with totally different game plans, it'll all come down to who can impose their will. Pato will have the advantage with his wrestling, so he'll be the favorite to win this fight. Lightweight Bout Sergei Babakov (13-5) vs. Andre Soares (18-12) The Russian Sergei Babakov has been made his presence known in New York. In his four fights since signing up the DFL, he's won three of them. His only loss coming from Tommy Shelby in their second bout, the first one he claimed victory by TKO, but Shelby held on until the end for the second and won by points. After that match he went onto Knockout Junior Iron before the second minute of the first round. Andres Soares is a very well rounded fighter having 8 wins by (T)KO's and 8 wins by submissions. His only loss in Duel so far was against Tommy Shelby in which he lost via TKO. With a comparison of the two, Babakov will have a solid chance to defeat Soares with his much better striking skills. But if Soares can get him to the ground and control the fight it could be another submission win for Soares. Middleweigh Bout Alexander Potter (19-11-1) vs. Terry "Bang Bang" Bogard (10-2) Potter with back to back wins against YB Sol and Vadim Nazarov, will be going against "Bang Bang" Bogard. Both fighters will be coming into this match up with fairly good runs so far. Alexander Potter will be looking to improve his positioning in the rankings bring the second to last although he has beaten numerous opponents. While Bogard will need this fight to break out of the mid table. In a side by side comparison of the two skill sets, Potter will have a dominant striking game against Bogard who is clearly the better grappler. Undercard MW Bout: Black Coleman vs. Robert Munson LHW Bout: Frank Dux vs. Donal Noye WW Bout: Miles North vs. Ogmak N'Bagr
  3. Ravi Shankoli vs Dick Army for the title.... I can't pick a favorite in this one!
  4. Who is Humor? And why do people dislike him?
  5. Hayato Kawajiri (333431) is my fighter.
  6. Well Dick Army you could get the trilogy but it won't be for the belt!
  7. If it wasn't for his Manager being offline for the last few days I feel like his nickname should be ducking... Jimmy "Ducking" Doyle. It has a ring to it right? But I'm the writer so I should have a fair and unbiased opinion.
  8. SyFi 35 Hard Knocks Sydney 08 Apr 2018 Another big event for the fans in Sydney! With the welterweight title on the line and a string of welterweight fights on the card tonight! Welterweight Title Fight © Mike Johnson (3-0) vs. (#1) Bruno Javier Jimenez (5-2) For the welterweight title fight we have the champion Mike Johnson for his first title defense going against Bruno Jimenez. Since Mike Johnson's start in MMA he has been on a tear defeating all three opponents before making it to the judges. He's also showcased how well rounded he is. Johnson has knocked out two of his opponents and submitted his last opponent Pyotr Petrov. The Argentinean Jimenez will be looking the dethrone the welterweight champion. Quite the experienced fighter he is also very well rounded. Out of the five fights he's won, he's submitted three and knocked out two. Since signing up for SyFi he has received KO of the night and Sub of the night. Johnson has proficient boxing and a purple belt in BJJ. While Jimenez has superb Muay Thai and a purple belt in BJJ. When it comes to striking Jimenez would be the better fighter but Jimenez has also been knocked out before leading me to believe he has the weaker chin. Prediction: Mike Johnson By Decision. Welterweight Bout Gideon Navarro (4-1) vs. Jackson Finnegan (2-1) The American Gideon Navarro will be making his way to Sydney for the first time in his career. He had previously finished a three fight contract with IFC in Los Angeles, where he ended all his opponents with his fierce striking. Training with the guys at Big Bear Fight Factory has made him a top of the line competitor. And he'll be wanting to prove his grit in Sydney's number one org. It might just be Finnegan's wake for ole Jackson Finnegan He'll have a lot to prove in this fight but being at a disadvantage to Navarro it'll be a hell of an uphill battle. But the Irish are a fighting kind of people. In a comparison of these two, both these fighters love a KO win but Navarro will definitely be the better striker. Due to his purple belt He'll also be a better grappler. Navarro should have this in the bag, but maybe Finnegan might just have the luck of the Irish on his side! Prediction: Gideon Navarro by KO 1st round Welterweight Bout Tori Kankunnen (3-2) vs. Chris Snoky (6-1-1) Finally winning his first match with Sydney Fighting, Kankunnen will look for his second win at SyFi 35. Although Kankunnen is to poor to aford training at the moment he's been hitting his garage' s punching bag with a lot of determination. His opponent "Smokey" Snoky will be here in Sydney for the first time. His previous fights have been in New York's local circuits and his last fight was out of Tokyo in which he won via decision. So far he's only lost one fight, by a submission. With a comparison of the two it looks like Smokey will be able to use his striking to an advantage. Kankunnen will have the advantage with his wrestling and BJJ. Let's just hope for Kankunnen's garage training can be enough to go against Ole Smokey. Prediction: Chris Snoky by KO Heavyweight Bout Gard Aatrox (3-1) vs. Rosario Fusco (5-1) Gard Aatrox fighting out of Tokyo, with a record of 3-1 will be facing off with the Italian Rosario Fusco. Aatrox made his debut against Alex Jackson at SyFi 24, winning by the way of TKO. The four fights he has had he's won three with his striking and lost one to decision in a very close fight. His opponent Fusco had a great start to his MMA career winning a Heavyweight QFC tournament finishing four opponents with his heavy hands. Although he lost his debut fight at SyFi 10, he redeemed himself with a KO over Johny Henry. Prediction: Gard Aatrox by decision Light Heavyweight Bout Haven West (2-1) vs. Krit Leekpai (1-0) Always thought that if Mobsters were to become MMA fighters they would be strikers not grapplers. Anyways Haven West first MMA match was a loss, but since signing up to SyFi he has been on back to back wins with submissions his choice of victory. His first fight for SyFi was sub of the night. But now he'll be going against Krit Leekpai a deadly fighter from Thailand. Although he's only had one fight, the coaches down at LOD: Top Team have been training him quite a bit. His one and only match was at SyFi 26 which won him KO of the night, it was a pretty quick debut match only lasting 22 seconds. Prediction: Krit Leekpai by TKO Middleweight Bout Nils Ragnaar (0-1) vs. Carl Johnson (1-2) Nils Ragnaar had a fight once, in the QFC, he lost so lot of people thought he quit but in fact he was training. Training with an intensity that some of his closest friends haven't even heard from him since his loss. Now after all that training he'll be making his debut fight against Carl Johnson who is currently with back to back losses in his SFC record. If Johnson losses tonight he should probably take a play out of Rangaars play book and hit the training hard. Prediction: Nils Ragnaar by TKO Welterweight Bout Ingo Butzhammer (2-0) vs. Luc Brood (1-0-1) The German Muay Thai fighter Ingo Butzhammer had his first fight back in SyFi 1 he fought to a decision against Erwin Miller and won. And if you remember that day like I do, you'll know that Ingo is deadly accurate with his legs, I was surprised just as everyone else that Miller didn't collapse after taking six kicks to the head. After that he went onto fight at RISE for a kickboxing fight, he actually ended up losing that by a solid knee in round two. Now he's back at SyFi again even defeating Chris Paul at SyFi 22. Which shocked a lot of MMA fans here in Sydney due to the fact that most people believed Chris Paul was the better Muay Thai fighter. Luc Brood most recent fight was against Risto Halonen, which actually was a rematch due to them drawing the fight before. I don't want to bore the fans here with a review of their two bouts, they were definitely some of the most boring in MMA history. Brood has the more well rounded skill set, he has alright boxing so he might be able to at least maintain a decent chance of survival in the stand up portion of the fight. But with his superior wrestling and BJJ he could very well take Butzhammer down and submit him fairly quickly. Prediction: Ingo Butzhammer by TKO Welterweight Bout Julius Scipio (0-0) vs. Ryan Rylie (5-9) Julius has never even been in a fight yet, but the word on a lot of MMA forums is that Scipio is a beast. Though we haven't been able to confirm it yet! That's why we're going to put a fighter with lots of experience to test the waters out. If Julius can pull off a win, than I'll have to say the word on the forums are true. Julius Scipio has remarkable boxing and a purple belt in BJJ, which is really good with someone whose never had a fight. While his opponent Ryan Rylie has lost four in a row, so hopefully he can beat this newcomer with his experience because his boxing is decent but not great and he only has a blue belt in BJJ. Prediction: Julius Scipio by KO Bantamweight Bout Vikramma Lykke (3-3) vs. Ahmed Magomedov (1-0) This will be Vikramma's first match in the SFC, possibly looking for new territory after losing three straight. He seemed to be very promising in his first three fights, winning them all. When it came to his fourth match, he was submitted in round 1 and hasn't been able to bounce back since then. Ahmed's first fight was a victory by decision in Los Angeles local fight club, now he'll be fighting for the first time in Sydney. The two are fairly even in boxing, whole Vikramma has the advantage in his Muay Thai, and BJJ. Magomedov has superior wrestling abilities. Unless He's going to hug the hell out of Vikramma this might just be a loss for him. Prediction: Vikramma Lykke by Submission Bantamweight Bout Aaron Dale (1-1) vs. (#8) Tebbo Vang (1-1) The Australian Aaron Dale will be fighting for his second time in front of the crowd at SFC. During his first bout at SyFi 8 he won Knockout of the night, finishing Chris Taylor halfway through the first round. Tebbo Vang did a hell of a job in his last match, winning fight of the night on a decision victory. He'll be looking to continue his good performance in this fight. Both of these fighters will probably choose to stand and bang they are both evenly matched so it should prove to be a good fight to watch. If Aaron Dale feels like he's losing the stand up he will have no problem in taking down his opponent with a possible submission victory. Prediction: Aaron Dale by Submission
