  1. Pre Fight Chat Underground FC 47 185 lbs Title DeMarcus "The Reaper" Diallo v Giuseppe Turturro Hello again everyone its Kendo once more with some pre fight chat but unfortunately being unable to negotiate any form of chat with Giuseppe Turturro a member of the highly successful and clandestine Turturro family i have a one sided chat today. Arriving in Amsterdam and trying to ignore the obvious "cafe's" i head to Keizersgracht 594 which is where Restaurant Red is located and where i have arranged to meet DeMarcus Diallo. Upon entering i can only hope that the food compensates for the mirrors and Zebra print rugs, (whoa a 70' flashback) I see DeMarco seated in a quiet corner and make my way over to him. After the usual formalities i am disappointed to discover that we will not being ordering any of the Lobster or Steaks on offer as DeMarco still has to fight but the owners have kindly allowed us to meet here mainly because DeMarco and his entourage are regular patrons of the establishment. Kendo. Thanks for agreeing to meet. DeMarco, Yeh it's all good. So what do you want to know ? Kendo, First how are you feeling going into the fight ? DeMarco, Fantastic it should be a good one. Kendo, Doesn't it seem a bit daunting when you step up against a member of the Turturro family given their pedigree ? DeMarco, Well sure you gotta respect what they have done but he is just another dude. Kendo, With Giuseppe managing six wins all by way of submission and yourself achieving six knockouts in seven wins it's fair to say we all can guess at who will be looking to do what ? DeMarco, I suppose you could say he likes to go to the floor and i like to put them there (he is clearly delighted with his response as his face broadens into a wide grin) Kendo, So is that what you see happening ? DeMarco, It's what i am planning on, he won't try to take me on standing he knows his only chance is taking it to ground but he also knows he takes a risk with every takedown attempt coz i only need to connect once. (this time he grins and shows me his Ham like fists) Kendo, Are you ready to become a Belt wearing Title holder ? DeMarco, Hell yeh six knockouts and five of those in the first round, yeh sure i am ready. Kendo, And are you planning on enjoying some of Amsterdam's night time entertainment after the fight or will you be under strict instructions ? DeMarco, Well yeh the plan is to party after why you looking to get an invite ? Kendo, That wasn't the plan but i will take one. DeMarco, I am sure i will see you later at the fight so we will sort something or somebody will. Look i have to go now catch you later. Kendo, Oh okay, thanks for this and good luck with the fight, see you later cheers. DeMarco, (Already walking to the door) Yeh thanks see yah. It's usually at this time when the company account gets a hit but "he was still under instruction" ah well. (Those lobsters did look good and the smell of the steaks.) My mind drifts back to matters at hand as i make my way to The Beer Garden. This is a classic match up and anything can happen. When i asked DeMarco if he had any surprises for Giuseppe he just smiled and said that he has surprises in both hands. Both these fighters are excellent at what they do, this clash of styles is a true test of each fighters right to leave wearing the Title Belt. This has been Kendo writing for Underground FC Org. Hope you all enjoyed, thanks for reading.
  2. Pre Fight Chat Underground FC 43 145 lbs Title fight. Sylvian Lievremont V Reginald Budgiehandler. Hi all Kendo here again with a little chat i had with Sylvian Lievremont and Reginald Budgiehandler before their title clash at Underground FC 43. Any excuse to travel the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii but also a great opportunity to get a quick chat with these two before their big fight. I first meet up with Sylvian Lievremont at Isles Cafe on Lihiwai street. A frenchman who seemed destined for Rugby greatness in his home country France but a change of heart brought him to MMA, as i waited for him to arrive i allowed myself to drink in the view of the Wailoa river. I swear this Island gets more beautiful every time i visit. Sylvian appears in the doorway and i attract his attention as he seats himself the service is on hand to take any orders. With the formalities out of the way we settle to chat. Kendo, I am interested to know why you decided to turn your back on a Rugby career and take one up in MMA ? Sylvian, Well first i would have to be selected (he laughs) and with my uncle Marc having been president of the French Union that just brought a lot of politics into it and it wasn't a hard decision i have been active in one form of MMA or another since i was very young. Kendo, Do you think there are any skills that cross over ? Sylvian, I wouldn't say skills as such but the use of your body is similar as is the chance you could pick up an injury whether you win or lose. Kendo, So if the MMA in France is strong why the move to Los Angeles USA ? Sylvian, New place new people no expectation of a former Rugby potential and a great opportunity to make something for myself. Kendo, After your last two fights both ended in victory for you; you must be feeling confident going into your biggest fight in your career so far ? Sylvian, Of course, i think i will bring something different. Kendo, What would that be exactly ? Sylvian, If i tell you then it won't be the surprise i intend it to be will it. (He says with an air of French arrogance) Kendo, Well thank you for this little chat i hope we can do something like this again, good luck with your fight. Sylvian, Thanks, it was a pleasant change, and yes we might catch up again. We shake hands and i wait for Sylvian to leave before picking up the bill and heading to my next meeting, it's just down the road a bit called the Hilo Bay Cafe another place offering good food and awesome views, as i wait i wonder how many other differences exist between the two fighters. Lievremont comes from a family with a rich tradition in great sporting achievements and Budgiehandler hails from a family with an age old tradition and many awards in Pigeon Racing. Such is the varied backgrounds of the eclectic MMA world. I don't have to wait to long for Reginald to arrive and he quickly makes his way over and immediately offers a hand so we shake then sit down and once again when the formalities are completed we start to chat. Kendo, Reg can i call you Reg ? (he smiles and nods an agreement) i am led to understand you have a long family history in Pigeon Racing, is this correct ? Reg, Yes its all true i have fond memories of being shown how to care for them and watch for them by my Grandad, there's a lot of attention to detail, patience and perseverance involved. (Reg goes on to tell of his Grandfathers many trophies and awards which is clear gives him as much pride as he has for his own titles.) Kendo, And you didn't follow the tradition then ? Reg, No its a dying sport, people don't have the time and besides most of the places get "re-generated" with no place for pigeons. Kendo, From Pigeon Racing to MMA thats quite a jump, How did that come about ? Reg, You try being a young boy in Walsall who races pigeons. Kendo, So Fighting was something that was an everyday thing for you ? Reg, When i was younger maybe but people leave you to get on with it eventually. When i wasn't with the birds i was down the boxing club my mother took me to. She said that was how she stopped the people from making fun of her for racing pigeons. Kendo, This will be your third title defence, you must be feeling confident, how has the training gone ? Reg, Yep third defence and training has gone well thanks very well and that gives me confidence. Kendo, Any prediction ? Reg, (He smiles) It's a fight and i am going to win don't know how or when but i will win. Kendo, Well i won't keep you any longer you probably have some last minute preparations to be getting on with. Reg, Just normal pre fight stuff, but thanks (we shake hands again) this was decent distraction. Kendo, Good luck with the defence and thanks for meeting i hope we can catch up again later ? Reg, Thank you again and yeh it would be fun see you later then. Once again i charge the bill to the company account and then head to my hotel and wonder why i just didn't arrange for them to meet me at the Grand Naniloa Hotel. Oh well i cease to care as i stroll along Banyan Drive and wonder, really Reg's mother a boxing pigeon racer ? The different paths these two fighters took to get here will have little to no relevance when the bell sounds at the start, but it is still what helped shape them on their journey. This has been Kendo writing for Underground FC Org and i hope you enjoyed reading it's been my pleasure.
  3. Manager / Fighter interviews. Well here i am today fresh from an interview with Hei Long King, manager with Underground Fights Ent and owner of the Underground Specialist Academy in Amsterdam and King "Hall of Fame" Kong who in just five fights has secured two titles and defended them both successfully. They have of both kindly taken time out of their busy schedule to grant me this interview. Rather than meet in a noisy gym we have instead agreed to meet at Langer's a little Deli on Alvarado street. I am my usual fifteen minutes early but to my pleasant surprise only have to wait ten minutes for my guests to arrive. When we have all placed our orders We settle and start to chat. Thanks for being here well lets get down to the questions the fans are all eager to hear what you have to say. Kendo, What brought you here ? What made you become a Manager/fighter in MMA Hei, I have always been interested in MMA but soon realised i wasn't champion fighter material so the obvious choice was to manage some champion fighters. Kong, I started some kickboxing when i was younger and soon found out i had a knack for knocking people out and saw this as a chance to make a name for myself and earn a decent living. Kendo, Do you have any heroes or someone you admire ? Hei, My parents, they showed me the sense managing fighters as a way to make real money. Kong, Well my family, my grandparents and my parents they have all shown me by example, how to be. Kendo, Food and Drink what are you favourites ? Hei, Oh Thai food and Bubble tea. Kong, When i am in training its all balanced nutrition and suupplements but when not training i eat just abaout anything and everything its great as i dont put the weight on. Kendo, Whats your favourite music to listen to ? A favourite track/album or solo or band ? Hei, Just about anything i have quite an eclectic taste in music. Kong, Has to be Merengue and a little Bachata. Kendo, What is your favourite film ? Hei, Real Steel. Kong, Anything with Jackie Chan or Samo Hung. Kendo, Who is your favourite person to watch on tv or film ? Hei, The Rock i will watch anything with him in it the guy is awesome. (sounds like a possible man crush ?) Kong, Samo Hung, i was the chubby kid when i was a lot younger but then i grew up. Kendo, Apart from MMA is there any other sports you have in the past or still participate in ? Hei, Basketball played it as a kid and only stopped playing recreationally recently. Kong, Kickboxing it started as a way to lose some puppy fat but as i grew it became something else, a way to pay the bills. Kendo, What apart from MMA is your favourite sprot to watch ? Hei, Yeh Basketball. Kong, Of course MMA but i do love the beach volleyball. Kendo, Do you have any family ? Girlfriend ? Boyfriend ? Partner ? Brother ? Sister ? Parents ? Hei, Whoa just a minute there was no mention of family talk,,,my private life is private and will stay that way. Kendo, Okay ,,okay,, no offence intended. (Hei mumps a bit as he shrugs his shoulders clearly bothered by something) Kong, My family is quite big and far away and talking about them makes me miss them a little more. Kendo, Do you have a mantra ? What helps drive you ? Any beliefs ? Hei, Yep "if it's got to be then it's up to me" Kong, The only thing that drives me is the rhythm of the Merengue Kendo, What ambitions do you have ? Where do you see yourself in five or ten years ? Hei, Well richer and more successful. Kong, I suppose one day i will stop collecting belts and titles and then who knows, i might be able to buy a small farm back home. Kendo, Are there any fighters we should be keeping an eye out for ? Hei, Mars Sakuraba, he is a bit of a slow learner but he has knockout power and a great set of ground skills. Kong, Well just me really. Kendo, Any special announcements for the fans ? Any treats in the pipeline ? Hei, What with Tev being my mentor i would think that my rise to be one of the very top managers around will be worth watching. Kong, Again me, i am the one to watch now and will be for a while. Well thank you for taking time out of your schedule to find time to give me this interview all the best hope to do it again sometime cheers Kendo. We all shake hands and agree to catch up again with Hei adding he might be busy but he is sure one of his fighters will be able to make an interview if he is given the correct amount of notice, "time is money" he says as they leave the establishment. This has been Kendo writing for Underground FC Org. Hope you enjoyed reading this latest interview more to follow.
  4. Hi Kendo again with a little chat i managed to squeeze from Aapo Jukola and Robert Harper before their fight at Underground FC 42. Jumping from one side of London to another is a nightmare at best but i was greatly assisted by a very knowledgeable black cab driver (cheers Mick) and made the trip in easy time. First port of call was the T. Troid gym where i found Aapo Jukola. Aapo is an impressive sight standing at 200cm and carrying 218 lbs well he comes into this fight undefeated with three wins by way of knockout a win here could see him sitting at the contenders table. He turns as my presence is noted by his corner team. Kendo, Hi Aapo i am Kendo pleased to meet you and thankyou for agreeing to do this. Aapo, Hello and that's ok it's part of the job(he says smiling) Kendo, Well how are you feeling going into this fight considering Harper is a former title holder ? Aapo, Excited for the opportunity thats been given to me here, it makes the distance from home seem a bit shorter somehow. Kendo, So you see this an opportunity ? Aapo, Most definitely i mean Harper as you say is a former title holder and to secure a win against such a high ranked opponent could only be a massive boost for my reputation. I intend to make the most of my chance my eyes fixed firmly on the prize of a title. Kendo, Do you have any immediate plans for after the fight ? Aapo, Always a quick trip home it would be nice to continue to return home undefeated. Kendo, May i wish you luck with that and say thankyou, i see you are ready to leave. Aapo, Thanks and yes we have to be on our way. And with that we parted. Aapo came across as a pleasant young man with serious ambition after all he did leave his home country to pursue his dream. A quick trip in Mick's black cab and i am at Pablo's Boxing Academy to grab a quick word with Robert "RH" Harper. Although still only twenty one, the same age as Jukola he has had eleven fights compared to Jukola's four and will be hoping the extra fight experience will give him the edge over his opponent. It looks as though i am just in time as everyone seems set to leave. Kendo, Excuse me "RH" ? Robert, Yes, oh ok but have to make it quick,(he turns to speak to one of his team) ok lets just go over here. He walks us over to a small seated area and we sit to chat. Kendo, What are your thoughts going into this fight ? Robert, I am looking forward to regaining top bragging rights for a title attempt. Kendo, You feel you are the top choice for that ? Robert, Doesn't matter if i do or don't, i don't make the matches it's those guys i need to show that i am the number one contender. Kendo, Any plans,,,,,(we are interrupted) Robert, Sorry shorter than expected but gotta go to work. Kendo, That's fine thanks for this, hope to chat at length some time and good luck. We shake hands and he is gone. Another seriously driven young man who seems to be in a hurry. As Mick's cab hastily sped me to my waiting jet, once again many thanks to Underground Org for the use of one of their jets, i had to wonder about the possible different outlooks that both fighters may have for their futures after the fight depending on the decision. This has been Kendo writing for Underground FC Org and it has been my pleasure, hope you enjoyed.
  5. Hello, once again this is Kendo writing for Underground FC with a recent random interview i was lucky to get. Recently on a trip to Moscow i received a message letting me know that Serhey Rishkinov was on a quick trip home to visit family and friends and that i would find him in a popular restaurant called Mari Varna in the Tverskoy district of Moscow. Serhey is due to fight Guido Turturro for the 170 lbs Underground FC title at UFC 49 in an attempt to claim two belts at 170 lbs and making it his third belt in two weight categories having previously held the Some FL 185 lbs before dropping weight, so a opportunity to get another chat with this increasingly successful fighter isn't one to be missed. I entered a cosy looking establishment designed to look homey with lampstands and bookcases as part of the surround and was soon spotted by Serhey. He beckons me over and again invites me to join him and as this time the aroma was more appetising i accepted and was presented with what Serhey explained to me was a dish called Pelmeni,(stuffed dumplings in a broth) accompanied by a glass of Kvass, "don't worry" says Serhey "the alcohol is so low the children here drink it". Inbetween the eating and constant attention from locals expressing their pride in Serhey's achievements we managed some chat. Kendo, Thanks for agreeing to chat again so soon after the last one. Serhey, Yes don't worry about it good to see you have brought an appetite this time. Kendo, Ahh yes, oh congratulations on your extremely fast submission of Marin Ivanov. Serhey, (He looks up and smiles) I did tell you (then shifts in his chair) thankyou, you could say it was one of those nights that are close to perfect, it did go well. Kendo, Well it did appear that way, so how do you see your next fight going ? Serhey, (He turns to look at me) My aim is to take his belt,,and then i will have two (now grinning) Kendo, As easy as that ? Serhey, I didn't say that it would be easy, it's a title, getting them isn't easy and holding them isn't easy. I have beaten him once and will do it again. Kendo, I hope that question didn't offend you ? Serhey, Not at all i just wish to be clear i dont want words put into my mouth. Kendo, So if you get your second bely at this weight will you be looking to get a third ? Serhey, (He grins as he talks) Don't you mean, when i get number two ? (That makes him chuckle) Well yes i suppose,, i don't really know. Kendo, Do you think about unifying several belts ? Serhey, No not really just about winning oh and eating (again he chuckles) With well wishers constantly offering their salutations for their local hero the conversation was slow but the homely meal provided was an adequate compensation helping to fill the gaps. Kendo, Thankyou once again Serhey for your time and hospitality it could be that the next time we meet you will have two belts. Serhey, It was my pleasure and you know it. Kendo, Good food and a good chat thanks and good luck. Serhey, It was fun, proshchay. Kendo, Blagodaryu vas. My feeble attempt at speaking russian brought a smile at least. As i relaxed in the company jet(courtesy of Underground FC Org) making my way to London i reflected on my meetings with Serhey Rishkinov and his five title fights two of which had ended with losses and the fact that the only defeat on Guido Turturro's record is to Rishkinov this may go down in history, its not one that you want to miss. Every fighter wants to redeem a defeat and Turturro is no exception as well as the desire to hold onto his belt, but Rishkinov is becoming a serial belt collecting title holder. This has been Kendo writing for Underground FC Org its been my pleasure hope you enjoyed.
  6. Always a lesson in excellence.
  7. Pre Fight Chit Chat Hello this is Kendo on behalf of Underground Fight Club Org fresh from my quick fire journey around the globe to bring to you some of the latest chit chat ahead of Underground FC 38. First stop was Tokyo where i was hoping to catch up with "Beast from the East" Serhey Rishikinov for a for a quick chat. I finally tracked him down in his favourite Sushi Bar. I try to catch his attention, (Me) Hi Serhey ? he looks at me and smiles as best anyone could with a mouthfull of raw fish. (Serhey) Hello, hello come sit, try this (as he offers me some raw fish on the end of a pair of chopsticks) (Me) Oh er thankyou but all this flying and time zone changes, my stomach hasn't setttled yet. (Serhey) Plenty of protein in this. (He declares as he once again gestures towards me and after i again politely decline he finishes his 1st serving) (Me) I was just hoping to grab a quick word before your upcoming fight with Marin Ivanov. (His lips curl slightly as he speaks) (Serhey) Marin Ivanov (He hisses between tight pursed lips) (Me) Do i sense bad blood ? (Serhey) For him and anyone on the other side of the cage (starting to relax somewhat) but maybe a little more for him. (Me) Any particular reason ? (Serhey) Little jumped up fighter from nowhere probably seeing this as his way of climbing the rankings for another feeble attempt at a title (His second serving arrives) Are you sure ? (he once again gestures to me i simply shake my head) I am a title holder and i will show him why he isn't one. (Me) (By now the sight and smell was becoming too much) Well,,,,thank you ,,,but you will have to excuse me ,, i really have to rush (struggling to stop the dry heaving) (Serhey) Oh so soon ? Pity we have some Squid and Octopus coming along next. (Me) (By now i am holding back the last thing i ate) thanks ,,good luuuck,,,hope to chat,,again,,some time. (Serhey) Yeh anytime just bring an appetite next time. Safely on the plane next stop New York where i will be chatting with Marin Ivanov. Arriving at the Forge gym i see some sparing going on and see Ivanov joining in with the many voices offering support and advice. (Me) Excuse me Marin ? (He turns and smiles) (Marin) Yes (Me) Hello i am Kendo (he stops me there) (Marin) Yes i know you we were expecting you earlier (Me) Erm well yes unfortunately something came up all of a sudden and well i had to see to that before coming here, i hope i didn't keep you from anything ? (Marin) No no it's ok glad your here now (again he smiles) Well what do you want to know ? (Me) First how do you feel going into this fight ? (Marin) I couldn't be in better shape. (Me) Serhey Rishikinov has suggested you might be seeing this as a way to step up the rankings, is that the case ? (Marin) Well that is the way for everyone. what better way to say that i am ready to become a belt holder than by beating one up a little bit (he says with a big grin) That has to be the long term goal for everyone to become a champion and we all start at the bottom and climb up. (Me) So what would be your short term goal ? (Marin) Putting a lot of hurt and pain upon Rishikinov. (Me) Any particular reason ? (Marin) No not really (He laughs) I see where your trying to go with this, but no, thats always my short term focus, to beat the other guy on the other side of the cage. (He moves to leave) I am sorry our time was short but,(i jump in) (Me) I understand my fault i was late. (Marin) These things happen. (He shakes my hand) (Me) Thanks anyway , good luck and hope to do this again sometime. (He has already left) What a stroke of luck as i notice Cosmo "Worldbeater" Hines making last minute preparations before he departs. Hoping to get a word or two from him and with the latest rumours suggesting a rift of some sort between him and Callam "Super Crazy" Bowers still fresh in my mind and their manager Scott Pritchard not returning my calls, i go in search of an answer. (Me) Hi Cosmo ? Any chance of a quick word ? (He looks up) (Cosmo) Yeh sure i got time. (We sit on a couple of chairs in a quietish corner) (Me) I am sure you are aware of the rumours of a rift or grudge of some sort between yourself and Callam Bowers ? (Cosmo) Yes and to be clear they aint rumours.(He is clearly agitated) (Me) You mean they are true ? (Cosmo) Yehall of 'em i can't stand the little twerp.(Stated through gritted teeth) (Me) So it would be fair to say that this fight has an edge to it ? (Cosmo)You can say what you want as long as you say i will be shutting his yap.(A pointed finger and waved fist display his emotion) (Me) What exactly started all this ? (Cosmo) He did. (Me) How ? What happened bem tween you two ? (Cosmo) Have you met him ? (Me) No not yet i am hoping to speak to him sometime soon. (Cosmo) Why,,?,,,Well once you meet him you will get it yada yada yada (Cosmo imitating mouth with his hands it looks like a naked glove puppet) He never shuts up. (Me) Oh i see, well (Cosmo is summoned by his one of his trainers) (Cosmo) Sorry bro gotta go and whoop some yappy chappy (Me) Yeh no worries, good luck and hope to catch you again sometime. (Cosmo) Yup ok bro. (Speaking as he leaves) Well this appears to be a novel way for a manager to restore order within his "stable". With Underground Org giving me unprecedented access to one of their executive jets i set off for Amsterdam for Underground FC 38, with a stop over in Helsinki where i should find Callam "Super Crazy" Bowers. A quick taxi ride to the Blanc Fitness Academy and i soon see Callam packing a few items for the trip. (Me) Excuse me Callam ? (Callam) Yeh that's me (He turns to look at me) Oh it's you (He holds out his hand and we shake) How are you ? (Me) Oh a little jet lagged but more importantly how are you ? The readers are not onterested in me (He laughs) (Callam) I am fine man all good, whats on your mind ? (Me) Well this rift between you and Cosmo Hines really, what is it all about ? (Callam) Have you met him ? (Me) Uhm yes. (Callam) And ? (Me) He said the same thing to me about you. (Callam) What ? Jeez thats him all over, always someone else never him. (Me) Is this just a difference in opinion as to which one of you is top dog to the other ? (Callam) He has different opinions to everyone on everything but after the fight he will know his place. (He picks up his flight bag) Its been fun chatting but i have somewhere else to be. (Me) Yeh no worries thanks for the chat. (Callam) All good man. (Me) Good luck hope to do this again sometime. (HE turns and shakes my hans again and leaves) Well hopefully this has wetted some appetites in readiness for Underground FC 38. A special thanks to Underground Org for the use of a company jet, couldn't have done it without it. This is Kendo writing for Underground Fight Club Org and it been my pleasure.
  8. The Island Combat Championship (351k+) in association with Paradigm are proud to bring ICC 3 7th Seprember 2019 Micro Arena The Island In Partnership with Paradigm Hello everyone this is Kendo bringing to you a brief review of the Third Island Combat Championship and we have a fantastic night of fights lined up. Including four fighters making their debut fights two of which are lined to face each other and a 185 ibs Title fight featuring two undefeated fighters only one will remain so at the end of the night. Lets take a look at the fight card. Undercard 155 lbs Jasper "Dark" Ghost (USA) V Daniel Parker (USA) Twenty five year old Ghost faces a young Nineteen year old Parker in our first fight. With three wins all by submission Ghost will no doubt look to dominate with his superior BJJ skills but Parker has showed his capable ground skills with his two wins coming by way of submission. 155 lbs Carlos "Warrior" Ledher (COL) V Thommy "Senior" Harinck (NED) Two fighters making their dedut, Twenty year old Ledher and Twenty five year old Harinck. Ledher enters with a background in kickboxing and will hope to utilise those skills against a stronger wrestler in Harinck, who in turn is more than capable of matching Ledher's boxing but may rely on some good old ground and pound. 205 lbs Jamie "Junk YardDog" Porter (SCO) V Twan "Shark" Lark (THAI) Porter at Twenty two is making his debut against Eighteen year old Lark who suffered a defeat in his first fight by way of submission. Both fighters display decent stand up skills with Lark showing better kickboxing ability. Expect Porter to look to utilise his silightly better wrestling against a tricky Thai oponent. 170 lbs Ronald Mcdonald (ICE) V "El Artillero" Javier Garcia (COL) Twenty five year old Mcdonald will looking to make it two wins from two fights probably by once again using his superior BJJ skills. However although maing his debut Twenty five year old Garcia has more than capable wrestling ability to present a serious challenge to Mcdonald's plans. 265 lbs Girth Brooks (Afgn) V Willis "Tiny" Wallace (SA) A second meeting for these two fighters and its hard to see it turning out any different to their first encounter, where Brooks (25) delivered a spinning back fist to knockout Wallace (18) in 1:41 of round one. The heavy hands of Brooks will be difficult for Wallace to avoid either standing or on the ground. Main Card 145 lbs Thimothy Weenus (BHU) V Shawn "Alex" VanDam (ENG) Twenty one year old Weenus from Bhutan is making his second fight appearance and hoping to make it two wins from two fights having notched up win number one with a triangle armbar submission. With decent boxing ability and a purple belt in BJJ he is more than capable of taking the fight to anyone on the ground or on the mat. Shawn VanDam at Twenty five is also looking for his second win after winning in his first fight with a Kimura inside the first minute. With both these fighters holding BJJ purple belts they will each look to their other skills to gain an advantage. 265 lbs Gaahl "Death" Brynvar (NOR) V Stian "Hellhammer" Thoreson (NOR) Once again two fighter making their second fight appearance but both of these are coming off the back of losses. Brynvar at twenty five is the slightly better kickboxer and wrestler, but he will have to be aware of Thoreson's boxing ability if he doesnt want a repeat of his knockout defeat. Thoreson still only Eighteen years of age is by far the superior boxer and with a little extra height and nearly two stones heavier will hope to bring all that to bear. This will either be a tribute to stand up slugging or become something more akin to Walruses on a beach. 170 lbs Devon "Loolaboy" Finnes (JAM) V Jonathon Philips (USA) Finnes aged Twenty five enters with one win an arm triangle submission and one loss which was a unanimous decision and with the better boxing and wrestling skills he will feel comfortable whichever direction the fight may take. Philips still only Twenty one starts here with one win and two losses. He achieved his first win in his first fight with a guillotine submission but has followed that up with two defeats by way of knockout. He may look to use his slightly better kickboxing. Finnes will almost certainly be aiming to hand out knockout number three to Philips who in turn has no desire for that to happen. Special Feature fight 185 lbs Title Event Evengi Kozlov (RUS) V Sir William "Guardian of Scotland" Wallace (SCO) Here we have two undefeated fighters so not just a tile on the line but keeping the loss count to zero will be the icing on the cake for the victor of this one. Kozlov at twenty five has started his MMA career with three wins his first came by way of a unanimous decision and he has followed that with two first round knockouts courtesy of a powerful right hand. A highly skilled boxer he also has decent wrestling ability making him a dangerous opponent from all angles. Wallace also twenty five has started his MMA career with three knockouts all inside the first minute. He comes here with decent kickboxing ability and a superior ability in wrestling. Comfortable on his feet or rolling around the floor this suicidal Scot is hellbent on destruction. Either his opponent or himself in the trying. Top of The Bill Main Event 185 lbs Axel "The Hammer" Harris (AUS V Joseph "F.S.W." Jantan (MAL) Twenty five year old Harris is making his third fight appearance. In his first fight he defeated James Hunter by way of a unanimous decision but followed that with a defeat to Robert Leahy and a guillotine choke submission. The slightly less experienced of the two he will attempt to utilise his superior kickboxing skills and nullify the threat from his opponent. Jantan is a Twenty five year old whirlwind from Malaysia who is setting the MMA world alight with his outstandingly dominant performances. Five fights, five wins and all by way of knockout and all in the first round. Michael Goodman, Finisher Tokyo, Tyler Banks, Better You and Herlock Von Ryan have all met the Malaysian phenom and felt his force. He enters here looking to make it win number six and possibly earn a shot at a title. This has all the hallmarks of a sensational fight that's if both fighters can match their credentials. This has been Kendo writing for Island Combat Championship (351K+), hope you all enjoyed thanks for reading, hope to catch you all again, cheers Kendo.

  10. Hello i am Kendo acting as a publicity writer for Underground Fight Cub Org and am pleased to announce that we have a exciting time happening here and we would like to share it with you all. On the agenda for today is the first in which we hope to be a series of interviews with some of our managers and fighters making a name for themselves in the MMA world. First up is one of our top managers Rick Steiner who has kindly brought with him one of our top 5 fighters "Souless" Scar Ambe. Kendo; First many thanks for taking time from your busy schedules to grant me this interview. Rick; Will this take long ? I am a busy man you know. Kendo; Shouldn't take too long, i felt it might make a change to get a managers perspective as well as that of the fighters. Shall we crack on? Rick; You mean we haven't started? Kendo; Ahem, first question is as they all are to the both of you. Can you tell me and the readers what brought you into the MMA world? Rick; Well i had some amateur experience as a young fighter but before i contemplated a fight career i soon learned that the real money is not made by getting hit in the face its the guy managing all that, that makes the real money, so here i am. Scar; Well i suppose it was Rick. Kendo; Do either of you have any heroes. someone you admire and respect ? Rick; Myself obviously (big grin) and i suppose Vince McMahon. Scar; Well it has to be fighters like Dan Severn and good old Randy you know the grinders. Kendo; What are your favourite food and drinks ? Rick; Chinese i have it on speed dial, look (shows me his phone) and good old Dr Pepper. Scar; I stay on a strict diet aided by Underground Supps, so iam ready to whoop anyone at 145 to 170 at any time. Kendo; What music do you like listening to ? Any favourite albums, tracks or bands ? Rick; Too busy, besides i wouldn't hear any above the volume of my money machine. Scar; Nickelback, but basically any hard rock. Kendo; Is there a film that you would watch more than once ? Rick; Too busy to waste my time on stuff like that. Are we nearly done here ? Scar; My fight film with Neves (huge smile) Kendo; Who is your favourite TV/Film star ? Rick; I can only take so much,,,,,,,this is ,,,,,,(muttering as he leaves abruptly) Kendo; Are you still ok to continue Scar? Scar; Yeh. I heard the first time, i like watching my fights. Kendo; Apart from MMA is there any other sports you have or still are involved in ? Scar; I was a wrestler at school and still do some outside of MMA. I still have hopes of making the Olympics. Kendo; What sports do you watch? Apart from your fights that is. Scar; If its not KT then it has to be Football. Kendo; What about your family, any brothers or sisters ? Anyone in your life at the moment ? Scar; Too focused on my fight career for any relationship and i come from a large family all my brothers are in the MMA game that's because we like to put a lot of hurt on people. Kendo; Is there a something that helps you focus and that gives you some extra drive when needed ? Scar; I believe in me and my ability to break anyone. I find thats all i need most of the time apart from that i am tired or hungry so i just do. Kendo; Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years ? Scar; Retired bro,,,,after my next few fights i will hang 'em up and move to full time wrestling then you will see me in the Olympics, yeh that's right i'm calling it now. Kendo; Are there any fighters we should be keeping an eye out for ? Scar; Me and the guys i train with, Darren Tellkins (KT badass) oh and my family members on the Island. Kendo; Final question, any special announcements for the fans ? Ant treats in the pipeline ? Scar; After my next fight i hope to get my 3rd rematch with Litill Bjornson i believe i am the bro to dethrone that total douchebag. Suddenly Rick bursts back into the room Rick; Hey i got one, my KT Org in Amsterdam, soon to be the best KT Org in the world. Kendo Well again thanks for taking the time (Rick starts to leave telling Scar to get a move on if he wants a lift) to give me this interview. all that's left for me to say is thanks for reading hope you enjoyed. This interview was conducted by Kendo on behalf of Underground Fight Club Org.
