-[Welterweight Division: Bung Popper vs. Cross A Zoo

Round 1 – In this opening round both fighters were swinging wild with punches and kicks, tagging each other with nearly every shot. Popper was the more aggressive fighter; his punches opened a cut on the face of Zoo. As Popper came forward with a wild swinging right hand, Zoo tagged him with a right hand of his own and dropped him on his back. Popper jumped to his feet and came forward looking to land punches as the round came to a close.

Round 2 – Bung Popper came out landing big punches to start this round. Popper dropped Zoo with a big right hand! Popper jumped into his guard looking to finish but Zoo controlled well from the bottom. The referee stood the fighters up. Popper immediately tagged Zoo with a series of right hands, dropping him to his back again! Popper jumped on him looking to finish but as before, Zoo controlled defensively. Popper stood up, looking to strike again. Popper backed away, taking some deep breaths but then pushed forward with more punches. Zoo displayed great head movement in avoiding them.

Round 3 – Popper opened this round with a wild uppercut that Zoo easily avoided. Zoo rushed forward looking to clinch but Popper slipped free and circled away. Popper pushed forward with strikes but paused to take a deep breath, eating a big right hand for his trouble! Popper swung wildly with a left hand that missed by a mile. Popper threw a wild right hand and Zoo rolled with it, coming back with a big left hook that staggered Popper! Zoo followed it with a right hand! Popper sagged back against the cage and Zoo pushed forward with lefts and rights! Popper tried to cover up but fell to his side and the referee jumped in to stop the fight!

Cross A Zoo def. Bung Popper via TKO (Strikes) at 1:06 of round 3.

-[Lightweight Division: Stojan Kostic vs. Juraj Divisek

Round 1 – Juraj Divisek put on a clinic in the early moments of this round, landing big punches on former IFA welterweight champion Stojan Kostic. Just as the ringside announcers commented on Kostic's recent wrestling training, he shot in with a double leg takedown into the full guard of Divisek. Kostic attempted to pass the guard and Divisek quickly escaped to his feet. Kostic tried to bring the fight to the ground again and Divisek answered with heavy punches that put him on the back pedal quickly. Divisek dropped Kostic with a big uppercut off of an attempted takedown and followed up with more heavy strikes from the top position! Stojan Kostic knew he was done and tapped out to conclude the fight!

Juraj Divisek def. Stojan Kostic via Submission (Strikes) at 1:47 of round 1.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20190719020246K8HbNKi_d.jpg-[Super-Heavyweight Division, Championship bout: Tohit Tohurt vs. Colin Kaepernick©

Round 1 – Tohit Tohurt has challenged for four championship titles including today's super-heavyweight championship match. He has failed in three attempts to realize his destiny of becoming a reigning world champion. Today we were privileged to serve as witnesses at the spectacle that arises when Tohit Tohurt fights to his full potential. While most title challengers hang back in fear of the clinch and power of Colin Kaepernick, Tohurt was chomping at the bits to get at him. The referee kept having to make him back up before the fight began because he couldn't wait to get at the defending champion. The second the ref said “fight!”, Tohurt rushed forward with wild swinging haymakers. While he wasn't landing initially, Kaepernick was forced to be on the defensive from the get go. Things seemed to be going as usual until Tohurt shocked us all with the punch heard 'round the world: he cracked Kaepernick with a right hand. While the initial punch didn't hurt the champion, it shocked the hell out of him- and the audience. Tohurt followed it up with another big right hand and this time Kaepernick went down hard! Tohurt smiled in a wicked expression of satisfaction and waved the champion to his feet. Kaepernick stood up, made a swipe at the river of blood pouring from his nose, and came forward on rubbery legs. Tohurt hit him with a slapping body kick that the commentators could hear. Kaepernick leaned forward and grimaced briefly and Tohurt landed another big kick to the midsection of the super-heavyweight kingpin. Kaepernick shook his head, spit blood, and came forward looking to get back in the fight but Tohurt was unwilling to let him. Tohurt pushed forward with kick after kick before sending the champion back to the floor with an explosive right hand! Tohurt poured on more punches and the champion floundered briefly before his arms went slack as his lights shut off. In under one minute Colin Kaepernick became the ninth man in three years to have fallen before the professional fury of Tohit Tohurt.

Tohit Tohurt def. Colin Kaepernick via KO (Punches) at 0:35 of round 1 to become the NEW undisputed UnderGround Fight Club Super-Heavyweight Champion of the World!

"When I am called to duty, God wherever flames may rage,
give me strength to save a life, whatever be its age.
Help me to embrace a little child before it's too late,
or save an older person from the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert to hear the weakest shout,
and quickly and efficiently to put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me,
to guard my neighbor and protect his property.
And if according to your will I have to lose my life,
bless with your protecting hand my loving family from strife.

Round 1 – Fresh from defeating Robert Harper to win the light-heavyweight championship of the world, Jimbo Cricky opened this fight with the crisp, precise striking that won him the title. Again and again Cricky avoided the wild strikes of Barry Jones and made him pay with technical punches in return. Just after the one minute mark, Barry Jones clinched and still Cricky punished him with brutal punches. At least from this position, Jones was able to fire back comfortably. Two minutes in, Jones pulled guard and began working for a submission off of his back. Cricky was defending well but then Jones locked in a guillotine choke! Cricky tried to pop his head out and escape but Jones cranked down on it with everything he had and Cricky was forced to tap out! Barry Jones is the new world champion!

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20190719020246K8HbNKi_d.jpg-[Heavyweight Division, Championship bout: Fray Tormenta© vs. Torq Bosley

Round 1 – Perhaps inspired by the two titles that have changed hands prior to this fight, challenger Torq Bosley came out looking for the early knockout! Bosley opened the fight with big punches that connected on the face of reigning champion Fray Tormenta. After a few fleeting moments of success, Bosley found himself on the defensive as Tormenta clinched and pulled guard as he's want to do. Bosley quickly passed into half guard but Tormenta was able to retain full guard. Tormenta began isolating the arm of Bosley, perhaps looking for a kimura or armbar, but the challenger defended well. Bosley managed to get back into half guard which was a much better position for him. Tormenta reached over as if going for a guillotine choke and Bosley responded by going for an arm triangle choke. After a few moments of both men holding on, the referee saw fit to stand 'em up. Bosley closed the round with a right cross that caught Tormenta pushing forward.

Round 2 – The two minutes of this round belonged to The Challenger, who managed to stay on the outside and work his boxing against the dangerous submission wizard. Midway through the round, Tormenta clinched, pulled guard, and reversed to top guard in the span of a few seconds. Unlike most opponents, Bosley didn't fall into an immediate submission from the Champ, however, and Tormenta spent the remainder of the round trying to submit him ineffectually.

Round 3 – After spending the first minute on the business end of Bosley's punches, Fray Tormenta clinched and pulled guard but Bosley smartly controlled from the bottom position and prevented any further offense until the referee stood them up. Bosley spent the remainder of the round on the outside landing heavy punches that worsened a cut under the eye of the reigning champion.

Round 4 – Tormenta clinched early in this round and pulled guard. Bosley comfortably defended until Tormenta reversed into top mount and began working for submissions! This was the biggest trouble that Bosley had been in all night! Tormenta rolled for an armbar but Bosley quickly reversed so that he was in guard, on top! Bosley closed out the round on top holding the position with zero interest in risking himself by advancing.

Round 5 – Desperation was the word of the day in the corner of Fray Tormenta between rounds. They knew that if their fighter didn't submit or murder Torq Bosley in this round, we would have three new champions instead of two. Tormenta came out very aggressively looking to clinch in this round and although Bosley avoided it for a minute, he succumbed to a clinch and guard pull. Bosley tried to control from the top but Tormenta rolled into top guard. Bosley seemed to be well on his way to controlling the remainder of the round to win this championship fight but then Fray Tormenta isolated one of his arms and cranked on it, forcing him to submit! Talk about a come from behind victory, Tormenta was less than two minutes away from losing his title!

Fray Tormenta def. Torq Bosley via Submission (Kimura) at 3:40 of round 5 to remain the Undisputed UnderGround Fight Club Heavyweight Champion of the World!

[Official Event Preview]

cMIOgaR.jpg

[The Prelims]

-[Bantamweight Division: Fedor Ziuzlikov (5-3) versus Park Shin Bum (7-7)

-[Fedor Ziuzlikov was a career QFC fighter before signing with UnderGround Fight Club; he made it to the second round of the QFC 902 Bantamweight Tournament and went on a four fight winning streak before signing with UGFC. Within the company he has been defeated by Bobby Jones and Chan Siam.

-[Park Shin Bum, like his opponent, made a name for himself as a longtime staple of the Quick Fighting Arena with all of his Pro-MMA bouts taking place there. Also like his opponent, Bum participated in the QFC 902 Bantamweight Tournament, making it to the second round before being knocked from contention.

-[This is an entirely winnable fight for Fedor Ziuzlikov who focuses heavily on his wrestling. He has a blue belt in BJJ and focuses primarily on submissions but is capable of finishing with ground and pound as well. Park Shin Bum prefers to fight on his feet or against the cage and uses his BJJ blue belt primarily for defensive purposes instead.

-[Welterweight Division: Arnolds Stallone (0-0) versus Alvins Burunduks (1-1)

-[Arnolds Stallone is a BJJ blue belt that is making his MMA debut at this event. Arnolds is a prodigy of the Sydney based gym known as The Kegerator.

-[Alvins Burunduks a two fight veteran of MMA with a blue belt in BJJ. Alvins submitted his debut opponent in the QFC arena before signing with UnderGround Fight Club. At UnderGround FC 32, Alvins was stopped by purple belt Michael Cruz in the opening round.

-[Alvins would seem to have all of the advantages in this fight being an older and more experienced version of Arnolds.

-[Middleweight Division: Kang Urip (3-1) versus Ricardo Cruz (3-1)

-[Kang Urip started his career as a strong boxer with great defensive wrestling but has slowly added Muay Thai to his resume as well. He began his career with three appearances in the QFC arena, defeating two opponents including a rematch against Steve Lucas who had defeated him previously. Kang competed at TWGC 25 where he defeated two opponetns before losing to Caidan Cartwright in the finals.

-[Ricardo Cruz is a BJJ brown belt that has vastly improved his offensive wrestling capabilities. He is also adapted a great defensive boxing style to support him on the feet.

-[On paper this fight is a tremendous mismatch but it will be dictated by the wrestling ability of both men. If Urip can keep this fight on the feet he has a great chance to win this fight. However he hasn't displayed a great deal of knockout power with which to threaten Cruz on the feet. I give all of the advantages to Cruz in this fight but Urip could easily prove me wrong.

-[Lightweight Division: Bryan Thompson (4-0) versus Rob Gross (6-4)

-[Bryan Thompson is an undefeated mixed martial artist and former professional kickboxer. While he is extremely dangerous on the feet, Thompson lacks anything in the way of defenses on the ground. He fought three times in the QFC arena, brutally stopping all three opponents before making his UGFC debut. At UnderGround FC 27, Bryan Thompson defeated Andrew Balderas via unanimous decision.

-[Rob Gross is a low skill kickboxer with some ground abilities including a BJJ blue belt. After a lengthy career in the QFC arena, Rob competed in the Some Fighting League promotion. This will be his UGFC debut.

-[The only reason that this fight isn't a world class mismatch is that Rob has executed some takedowns in past fights. He will need to use that wrestling ability in this fight or risk being steamrolled by the superior striker.

-[Light-Heavyweight Division: Daana Wyte (8-5) versus Andrew Jones (7-7)

-[Daana Wyte is a heavy handed brawler that, in eight victories, has scored eight brutal knockouts. After seven appearances in the QFC arena, Daana fought once for the Destructive Striking Championship. After that he signed with UnderGround Fight Club. He has fought five times with UGFC, scoring two victories and losing to three of the very best fighters in the light-heavyweight division.

-[Andrew Jones is a BJJ purple belt that is a bit of a glass cannon. He either submits his opponent or gets knocked out cold trying. He fought thirteen times in the QFC arena before signing with UnderGround Fight Club. At UnderGround FC 29, Andrew was knocked out by Dexter Morgan.

-[We have a boxer against a submission fighter. Andrew's only chance to win this fight is to score an early takedown and submission but that will be a tall task as Daana Wyte has displayed decent takedown defense.

[Main Card]

-[Featherweight Division: Joe Smith (6-1) versus Anthony Jackson (5-4)

-[Joe Smith is a heavy handed perennial top contender in the UnderGround Fight Club's featherweight division. A close friend and training partner to reigning champion Reginald Budgiehandler, Smith likely would have been a world champion if not for the relationship. Smith began his career with two victories in the Rapid Fighting Championship promotion before signing with UnderGround Fight Club. Upon making his promotional debut, Joe extended his winning streak into six consecutive fights, including big wins over Jay Brown and Hans Richter. Most recently he was submitted by Sylvian Lievremont.

-[Anthony Jackson is a boxing stylist that began his career in the QFC 916 featherweight tournament. After losing in the second round, Anthony won three consecutive bouts in the QFC arena. Upon signing with UGFC, Anthony lost three consecutive fights against tough competition, most recently defeating Anti Happy.

-[This will be an exciting slugfest showcasing two boxers that have never been put down by punches. I don't know who will win but I look forward to reviewing it.

-[Featherweight Division: Paavo Masala (5-4) versus Kyle Kristian Galeos (7-2)

-[Paavo Masala is a wrestling stylist with a BJJ purple belt. While he has adapted a low level boxing base, Paavo prefers to take opponents down to smash them with top control and ground n pound. Paavo started his career with a single appearance in the GET REKT promotion before signing with JAG Battle League, where he would win three of his six fights. He has fought twice for UnderGround Fight Club, falling victim to a submission from Jay Brown before defeating Killua Zoldyk.

-[Kyle Kristian Galeos is a hard hitting boxer with great defensive wrestling. In nine professional bouts, Kyle knocked out seven; five of them within the opening round. Kyle started his career with five appearances in the QFC arena where he fought three opponents with two rematches along the way. Within UnderGround Fight Club he has defeated Ky Tycoon and Ian Joy Virtudazo while dropping fights to Hans Richter and a title fight against Reginald Budgiehandler.

-[Is Paavo Masala's wrestling good enough to control Galeos? Possible but it's just as likely that Galeos will be able to knock him dead early with heavy punches.

-[Welterweight Division: Kobayashi Jin (5-0) versus Virgil Van Dijk (10-14)

-[Kobayashi Jin is a deadly Muay Thai striker and BJJ brown belt. Undefeated in mixed martial arts, Kobayashi has fought five times while scoring four finishes along the way. After two appearances in the QFC arena, Kobayashi signed with UnderGround Fight Club. Within UGFC he has finished Hitori Hanzo, Xyryx Ignacio, and Prince Tonni.

-[Virgil Van Dijk is a twenty-four fight MMA veteran. In addition to being a fantastic kickboxer, Virgil has an adequate defensive grappling base to support him. However most of his difficulties have come on the ground. Virgil has fought for very many promotions, notably the Immuniy Fighting Alliance on The Island during its 9th season. At IFA 16/02, Virgil challenged reigning champion Stojan Kostic for the welterweight championship. Virgil has faced very tough competition within UGFC, falling before Bung Popper, former champion Sivile Gonya, and Whorely Alvarez.

-[This will be a big test for Kobayashi Jin because Virgil, despite his flaws, hits like a truck and is a very solid striker. We will likely see Jin opting to bring this fight to the ground to put his Jiu-Jitsu to work.

[Co-Main Event]

-[Lightweight Division: Ralphie Maldonado (8-3) versus Akaro Horiguchi (4-1)

-[Ralphie Maldonado is a world class Muay Thai striker and BJJ purple belt. Ralphie is a veteran of FARTMMA and the Rapid Fighting Championship, where he challenged for the lightweight title. Within UGFC, Ralphie has knocked out Hairuddin Abdul Rahim and Wee Lee Osman.

-[Akaro Horiguchi is a great Muay Thai kickboxer and BJJ purple belt. In his early career he competed three times within the QFC arena, knocking out two opponents before being stopped by fellow kickboxer Conor King. After making a victorious pit stop to score a victory in Batoru FC, Akaro signed with UnderGround Fight Club. At UnderGround FC 27, Akaro stopped Rodger Bell in the opening round.

-[Both fighters are world class Muay Thai stylists that have great power and have been stopped by strikes in the past. This should be a fun fight for the fans to behold.

[Main Event]

-[Bantamweight Division: Tommy Reed (6-1) versus Marcel Petiot (6-3)

-[Tommy Reed is a BJJ brown belt that has adopted a limited boxing style. After a successful QFC debut, Tommy has fought six times in UnderGround Fight Club. In that time he has scored notable victories over Curtis Jackson, Frankie Busul, and Aurther Fleck with only one minor setback against Juan Kemonito.

-[Marcel Petiot is a Muay Thai stylist with adequate defensive grappling. After a successful QFC debut, Marcel fought twice under the GET REKT promotion. Next Marcel signed with FARTMMA where he competed four times. On the heels of a five fight winning streak, Marcel challenged Miguel Harper for the featherweight championship in a losing effort. Later he signed with UnderGround Fight Club, falling before Oganeditse Gaolathe and defeating Caeser Kombomuizc.

-[This will be a battle between Reed's high level wrestling and submission offense against the takedown defense and knockout power of Petiot.

I hope that this different style of shorter preview is acceptable to the readers. I haven't had as much time to prepare for the events tomorrow and the next day so both will follow this style. I still intend to give longer and more detailed previews to championship fights. Regardless please let me know if you love or hate this style and I will adapt accordingly.

Hello, once again this is Kendo writing for Underground FC with a recent random interview i was lucky to get.

Recently on a trip to Moscow i received a message letting me know that Serhey Rishkinov was on a quick trip home to visit family and friends

and that i would find him in a popular restaurant called Mari Varna in the Tverskoy district of Moscow. Serhey is due to fight Guido Turturro

for the 170 lbs Underground FC title at UFC 49 in an attempt to claim two belts at 170 lbs and making it his third belt in two weight categories

having previously held the Some FL 185 lbs before dropping weight, so a opportunity to get another chat with this increasingly successful fighter

isn't one to be missed.

I entered a cosy looking establishment designed to look homey with lampstands and bookcases as part of the surround and was soon spotted by Serhey. He beckons me over and again invites me to join him and as this time the aroma was more appetising i accepted and was presented with what Serhey

explained to me was a dish called Pelmeni,(stuffed dumplings in a broth) accompanied by a glass of Kvass, "don't worry" says Serhey "the alcohol is

so low the children here drink it". Inbetween the eating and constant attention from locals expressing their pride in Serhey's achievements we

managed some chat.

Kendo, Thanks for agreeing to chat again so soon after the last one.

Serhey, Yes don't worry about it good to see you have brought an appetite this time.

Kendo, Ahh yes, oh congratulations on your extremely fast submission of Marin Ivanov.

Serhey, (He looks up and smiles) I did tell you (then shifts in his chair) thankyou, you could say it was one of those nights that are close to

perfect, it did go well.

Kendo, Well it did appear that way, so how do you see your next fight going ?

Serhey, (He turns to look at me) My aim is to take his belt,,and then i will have two (now grinning)

Kendo, As easy as that ?

Serhey, I didn't say that it would be easy, it's a title, getting them isn't easy and holding them isn't easy. I have beaten him once and will do

it again.

Kendo, I hope that question didn't offend you ?

Serhey, Not at all i just wish to be clear i dont want words put into my mouth.

Kendo, So if you get your second bely at this weight will you be looking to get a third ?

Serhey, (He grins as he talks) Don't you mean, when i get number two ? (That makes him chuckle) Well yes i suppose,, i don't really know.

Kendo, Do you think about unifying several belts ?

Serhey, No not really just about winning oh and eating (again he chuckles)

With well wishers constantly offering their salutations for their local hero the conversation was slow but the homely meal provided was an

adequate compensation helping to fill the gaps.

Kendo, Thankyou once again Serhey for your time and hospitality it could be that the next time we meet you will have two belts.

Serhey, It was my pleasure and you know it.

Kendo, Good food and a good chat thanks and good luck.

Serhey, It was fun, proshchay.

Kendo, Blagodaryu vas.

My feeble attempt at speaking russian brought a smile at least.

As i relaxed in the company jet(courtesy of Underground FC Org) making my way to London i reflected on my meetings with Serhey Rishkinov and his five title fights two of which had ended with losses and the fact that the only defeat on Guido Turturro's record is to Rishkinov this may go down in history, its not one that you want to miss.

Every fighter wants to redeem a defeat and Turturro is no exception as well as the desire to hold onto his belt, but Rishkinov is becoming a serial belt collecting title holder.

This has been Kendo writing for Underground FC Org its been my pleasure hope you enjoyed.

Hi Kendo again with a little chat i managed to squeeze from Aapo Jukola and Robert Harper before their fight at Underground FC 42. Jumping from one side of London to another is a nightmare at best but i was greatly assisted by a very knowledgeable black cab driver (cheers Mick) and made the trip in easy time. First port of call was the T. Troid gym where i found Aapo Jukola.

Aapo is an impressive sight standing at 200cm and carrying 218 lbs well he comes into this fight undefeated with three wins by way of knockout a win here could see him sitting at the contenders table. He turns as my presence is noted by his corner team.

Kendo, Hi Aapo i am Kendo pleased to meet you and thankyou for agreeing to do this.

Aapo, Hello and that's ok it's part of the job(he says smiling)

Kendo, Well how are you feeling going into this fight considering Harper is a former title holder ?

Aapo, Excited for the opportunity thats been given to me here, it makes the distance from home seem a bit shorter somehow.

Kendo, So you see this an opportunity ?

Aapo, Most definitely i mean Harper as you say is a former title holder and to secure a win against such a high ranked opponent could only

be a massive boost for my reputation. I intend to make the most of my chance my eyes fixed firmly on the prize of a title.

Kendo, Do you have any immediate plans for after the fight ?

Aapo, Always a quick trip home it would be nice to continue to return home undefeated.

Kendo, May i wish you luck with that and say thankyou, i see you are ready to leave.

Aapo, Thanks and yes we have to be on our way.

And with that we parted. Aapo came across as a pleasant young man with serious ambition after all he did leave his home country to pursue

his dream.

A quick trip in Mick's black cab and i am at Pablo's Boxing Academy to grab a quick word with Robert "RH" Harper. Although still only

twenty one, the same age as Jukola he has had eleven fights compared to Jukola's four and will be hoping the extra fight experience will

give him the edge over his opponent. It looks as though i am just in time as everyone seems set to leave.

Kendo, Excuse me "RH" ?

Robert, Yes, oh ok but have to make it quick,(he turns to speak to one of his team) ok lets just go over here.

He walks us over to a small seated area and we sit to chat.

Kendo, What are your thoughts going into this fight ?

Robert, I am looking forward to regaining top bragging rights for a title attempt.

Kendo, You feel you are the top choice for that ?

Robert, Doesn't matter if i do or don't, i don't make the matches it's those guys i need to show that i am the number one contender.

Kendo, Any plans,,,,,(we are interrupted)

Robert, Sorry shorter than expected but gotta go to work.

Kendo, That's fine thanks for this, hope to chat at length some time and good luck.

We shake hands and he is gone. Another seriously driven young man who seems to be in a hurry.

As Mick's cab hastily sped me to my waiting jet, once again many thanks to Underground Org for the use of one of their jets, i had to wonder

about the possible different outlooks that both fighters may have for their futures after the fight depending on the decision.

This has been Kendo writing for Underground FC Org and it has been my pleasure, hope you enjoyed.

Manager / Fighter interviews.

Well here i am today fresh from an interview with Hei Long King, manager with Underground Fights Ent and owner of the

Underground Specialist Academy in Amsterdam and King "Hall of Fame" Kong who in just five fights has secured two titles

and defended them both successfully.

They have of both kindly taken time out of their busy schedule to grant me this interview.

Rather than meet in a noisy gym we have instead agreed to meet at Langer's a little Deli on Alvarado street. I am my usual fifteen

minutes early but to my pleasant surprise only have to wait ten minutes for my guests to arrive. When we have all placed our orders

We settle and start to chat.

Thanks for being here well lets get down to the questions the fans are all eager to hear what you have to say.

Kendo, What brought you here ? What made you become a Manager/fighter in MMA

Hei, I have always been interested in MMA but soon realised i wasn't champion fighter material so the obvious choice was to

manage some champion fighters.

Kong, I started some kickboxing when i was younger and soon found out i had a knack for knocking people out and saw this as a

chance to make a name for myself and earn a decent living.

Kendo, Do you have any heroes or someone you admire ?

Hei, My parents, they showed me the sense managing fighters as a way to make real money.

Kong, Well my family, my grandparents and my parents they have all shown me by example, how to be.

Kendo, Food and Drink what are you favourites ?

Hei, Oh Thai food and Bubble tea.

Kong, When i am in training its all balanced nutrition and suupplements but when not training i eat just abaout anything and

everything its great as i dont put the weight on.

Hei, Just about anything i have quite an eclectic taste in music.

Kong, Has to be Merengue and a little Bachata.

Kendo, What is your favourite film ?

Hei, Real Steel.

Kong, Anything with Jackie Chan or Samo Hung.

Kendo, Who is your favourite person to watch on tv or film ?

Hei, The Rock i will watch anything with him in it the guy is awesome. (sounds like a possible man crush ?)

Kong, Samo Hung, i was the chubby kid when i was a lot younger but then i grew up.

Kendo, Apart from MMA is there any other sports you have in the past or still participate in ?

Hei, Basketball played it as a kid and only stopped playing recreationally recently.

Kong, Kickboxing it started as a way to lose some puppy fat but as i grew it became something else, a way to pay the bills.

Kendo, What apart from MMA is your favourite sprot to watch ?

Hei, Yeh Basketball.

Kong, Of course MMA but i do love the beach volleyball.

Kendo, Do you have any family ? Girlfriend ? Boyfriend ? Partner ? Brother ? Sister ? Parents ?

Hei, Whoa just a minute there was no mention of family talk,,,my private life is private and will stay that way.

Kendo, Okay ,,okay,, no offence intended. (Hei mumps a bit as he shrugs his shoulders clearly bothered by something)

Kong, My family is quite big and far away and talking about them makes me miss them a little more.

Kendo, Do you have a mantra ? What helps drive you ? Any beliefs ?

Hei, Yep "if it's got to be then it's up to me"

Kong, The only thing that drives me is the rhythm of the Merengue

Kendo, What ambitions do you have ? Where do you see yourself in five or ten years ?

Hei, Well richer and more successful.

Kong, I suppose one day i will stop collecting belts and titles and then who knows, i might be able to buy a small farm back home.

Kendo, Are there any fighters we should be keeping an eye out for ?

Hei, Mars Sakuraba, he is a bit of a slow learner but he has knockout power and a great set of ground skills.

Kong, Well just me really.

Kendo, Any special announcements for the fans ? Any treats in the pipeline ?

Hei, What with Tev being my mentor i would think that my rise to be one of the very top managers around will be worth watching.

Kong, Again me, i am the one to watch now and will be for a while.

Well thank you for taking time out of your schedule to find time to give me this interview all the best hope to do it again sometime cheers Kendo.

We all shake hands and agree to catch up again with Hei adding he might be busy but he is sure one of his fighters will be able to make

an interview if he is given the correct amount of notice, "time is money" he says as they leave the establishment.

Pre Fight Chat Underground FC 43 145 lbs Title fight. Sylvian Lievremont V Reginald Budgiehandler.

Hi all Kendo here again with a little chat i had with Sylvian Lievremont and Reginald Budgiehandler before their title clash

at Underground FC 43. Any excuse to travel the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii but also a great opportunity to get a quick chat

with these two before their big fight.

I first meet up with Sylvian Lievremont at Isles Cafe on Lihiwai street. A frenchman who seemed destined for Rugby greatness in

his home country France but a change of heart brought him to MMA, as i waited for him to arrive i allowed myself to drink in the

view of the Wailoa river. I swear this Island gets more beautiful every time i visit. Sylvian appears in the doorway and i attract

his attention as he seats himself the service is on hand to take any orders. With the formalities out of the way we settle to chat.

Kendo, I am interested to know why you decided to turn your back on a Rugby career and take one up in MMA ?

Sylvian, Well first i would have to be selected (he laughs) and with my uncle Marc having been president of the French Union that

just brought a lot of politics into it and it wasn't a hard decision i have been active in one form of MMA or another since

i was very young.

Kendo, Do you think there are any skills that cross over ?

Sylvian, I wouldn't say skills as such but the use of your body is similar as is the chance you could pick up an injury whether you

win or lose.

Kendo, So if the MMA in France is strong why the move to Los Angeles USA ?

Sylvian, New place new people no expectation of a former Rugby potential and a great opportunity to make something for myself.

Kendo, After your last two fights both ended in victory for you; you must be feeling confident going into your biggest fight in

your career so far ?

Sylvian, Of course, i think i will bring something different.

Kendo, What would that be exactly ?

Sylvian, If i tell you then it won't be the surprise i intend it to be will it. (He says with an air of French arrogance)

Kendo, Well thank you for this little chat i hope we can do something like this again, good luck with your fight.

Sylvian, Thanks, it was a pleasant change, and yes we might catch up again.

We shake hands and i wait for Sylvian to leave before picking up the bill and heading to my next meeting, it's just down the road a bit

called the Hilo Bay Cafe another place offering good food and awesome views, as i wait i wonder how many other differences exist between

the two fighters. Lievremont comes from a family with a rich tradition in great sporting achievements and Budgiehandler hails from a family

with an age old tradition and many awards in Pigeon Racing. Such is the varied backgrounds of the eclectic MMA world.

I don't have to wait to long for Reginald to arrive and he quickly makes his way over and immediately offers a hand so we shake then sit down

and once again when the formalities are completed we start to chat.

Kendo, Reg can i call you Reg ? (he smiles and nods an agreement) i am led to understand you have a long family history in Pigeon Racing,

is this correct ?

Reg, Yes its all true i have fond memories of being shown how to care for them and watch for them by my Grandad, there's a lot of attention

to detail, patience and perseverance involved. (Reg goes on to tell of his Grandfathers many trophies and awards which is clear gives

him as much pride as he has for his own titles.)

Kendo, And you didn't follow the tradition then ?

Reg, No its a dying sport, people don't have the time and besides most of the places get "re-generated" with no place for pigeons.

Kendo, From Pigeon Racing to MMA thats quite a jump, How did that come about ?

Reg, You try being a young boy in Walsall who races pigeons.

Kendo, So Fighting was something that was an everyday thing for you ?

Reg, When i was younger maybe but people leave you to get on with it eventually. When i wasn't with the birds i was down the boxing club

my mother took me to. She said that was how she stopped the people from making fun of her for racing pigeons.

Kendo, This will be your third title defence, you must be feeling confident, how has the training gone ?

Reg, Yep third defence and training has gone well thanks very well and that gives me confidence.

Kendo, Any prediction ?

Reg, (He smiles) It's a fight and i am going to win don't know how or when but i will win.

Kendo, Well i won't keep you any longer you probably have some last minute preparations to be getting on with.

Reg, Just normal pre fight stuff, but thanks (we shake hands again) this was decent distraction.

Kendo, Good luck with the defence and thanks for meeting i hope we can catch up again later ?

Reg, Thank you again and yeh it would be fun see you later then.

Once again i charge the bill to the company account and then head to my hotel and wonder why i just didn't arrange for them to meet me at the

Grand Naniloa Hotel. Oh well i cease to care as i stroll along Banyan Drive and wonder, really Reg's mother a boxing pigeon racer ?

The different paths these two fighters took to get here will have little to no relevance when the bell sounds at the start, but it is still

what helped shape them on their journey.

Pre Fight Chat Underground FC 47 185 lbs Title DeMarcus "The Reaper" Diallo v Giuseppe Turturro

Hello again everyone its Kendo once more with some pre fight chat but unfortunately being unable to negotiate any form of chat with

Giuseppe Turturro a member of the highly successful and clandestine Turturro family i have a one sided chat today.

Arriving in Amsterdam and trying to ignore the obvious "cafe's" i head to Keizersgracht 594 which is where Restaurant Red is located and where i have arranged to meet DeMarcus Diallo. Upon entering i can only hope that the food compensates for the mirrors and Zebra print rugs, (whoa a 70' flashback)

I see DeMarco seated in a quiet corner and make my way over to him. After the usual formalities i am disappointed to discover that

we will not being ordering any of the Lobster or Steaks on offer as DeMarco still has to fight but the owners have kindly allowed us to meet

here mainly because DeMarco and his entourage are regular patrons of the establishment.

Kendo. Thanks for agreeing to meet.

DeMarco, Yeh it's all good. So what do you want to know ?

Kendo, First how are you feeling going into the fight ?

DeMarco, Fantastic it should be a good one.

Kendo, Doesn't it seem a bit daunting when you step up against a member of the Turturro family given their pedigree ?

DeMarco, Well sure you gotta respect what they have done but he is just another dude.

Kendo, With Giuseppe managing six wins all by way of submission and yourself achieving six knockouts in seven wins it's fair to say we all

can guess at who will be looking to do what ?

DeMarco, I suppose you could say he likes to go to the floor and i like to put them there (he is clearly delighted with his response as his face

broadens into a wide grin)

Kendo, So is that what you see happening ?

DeMarco, It's what i am planning on, he won't try to take me on standing he knows his only chance is taking it to ground but he also knows he takes

a risk with every takedown attempt coz i only need to connect once. (this time he grins and shows me his Ham like fists)

Kendo, Are you ready to become a Belt wearing Title holder ?

DeMarco, Hell yeh six knockouts and five of those in the first round, yeh sure i am ready.

Kendo, And are you planning on enjoying some of Amsterdam's night time entertainment after the fight or will you be under strict instructions ?

DeMarco, Well yeh the plan is to party after why you looking to get an invite ?

Kendo, That wasn't the plan but i will take one.

DeMarco, I am sure i will see you later at the fight so we will sort something or somebody will. Look i have to go now catch you later.

Kendo, Oh okay, thanks for this and good luck with the fight, see you later cheers.

DeMarco, (Already walking to the door) Yeh thanks see yah.

It's usually at this time when the company account gets a hit but "he was still under instruction" ah well. (Those lobsters did look good and

the smell of the steaks.) My mind drifts back to matters at hand as i make my way to The Beer Garden.

This is a classic match up and anything can happen. When i asked DeMarco if he had any surprises for Giuseppe he just smiled and said that he has surprises in both hands. Both these fighters are excellent at what they do, this clash of styles is a true test of each fighters right to leave wearing the Title Belt.

UnderGround FC 50 Preview & Predictions (930150)
5TH OCT 2019- NYC – HARD KNOCKS ARENA - Written by Gabe T.S. Gardner (112290)

cHTlAsW.jpg

Hey all. I’m Jobbing MMA tycoon writer, and designer Gabe here, filling in for the wonderful UnderGround stalwart: Kendo!
We have an insanely packed card here to break down, so let's jump right in!

MAIN EVENT

ZDCR5ZD.jpgSwb049I.jpg

HARPER VS TO BE POSITIVE

Robert “RH” Harper 9-3-0 VS Desperately “Trying” To Be Positive 9-9-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 205lbs

Our main event for the evening is a clash between two experienced Light heavyweights, with “RH” taking on “Trying”. First things first, I’d like to congratulate Mr. To Be Positives parents for perhaps being the cruellest name-bestowers I’ve ever seen, now moving onto the fight.

Harper has seen his previously stellar form stall, suffering a stoppage loss in his last fight, whereas To Be Positive, who’s had a career of trading wins and losses so far, is on a two-fight win streak, and comes in with a superior striking component to his skill set, in this analysts mind anyway.

That said? The far more well-rounded of the two would have to be Harper, who has a submission for every occasion in his locker, and enough striking acumen to be able to avoid damage long enough to implement his game plan. It might take him until the second round, but I still predict Harper gets the tap inside the distance, should he be able to avoid getting clipped by a determined striker in “Trying”, who has ended all of his wins with a knockout.

Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Robert “RH” Harper (W) SUB Rounds 1-2

CO-MAIN EVENT

KEMONITO VS PETIOT

“The Tiny Tormentor” Juan Kemonito 6-2-0 VS MarcelDocteur Satan” Petiot 7-3-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 135lbs

Our Co-Main sees two young, hungry bantamweights pitting off, as “The Tiny Tormentor” takes on “Docteur Satan”. This will be the first fight back from his recent title challenge, where Kemonito fought Tree Fortay in a losing effort back at Underground 34, losing by submission in the very first round.

An accomplished grappler in his own right, Kemonito must be planning to take the fight to the ground here, to avoid the considerable standup ability of his opponent, Petiot. Where things get interesting is Marcel Petiot, undefeated under his current management, has shown a submission game of his own recently, tapping Tommy Reed late into their 3 round contest, managing to stifle the brown belts offense on the ground, and denying 13 separate submission attempts, before beating the grappler at his own game.

In short? This is a hard to predict fight, And while I say I favour Kemonito going into this one, he is going to be in more danger than he thinks in every facet of the fight, and if he cant frustrate and submit his opponent early, the increased likelihood that he could let this one get away from him, and be clipped, or tapped himself. That said, I’ll stick with “The Tiny Tormentor”, getting a unanimous decision...Just.

Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: “The Tiny Tormentor” Juan Kemonito (W) UD Round 3

DIVISEK VS MALDONADO

Juraj Divisek “George” 5-2-0 VS Ralphie “Head kick” Maldonado 8-4-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 155lbs

For our third, and last featured fight, my dark horse for scrap of the night: Divisek vs Maldonado.
Two incredibly talented, well rounded young lions on a tear up at one of the most exciting divsions to watch as a fan? Could you ask for any more?!

Enough salivating ladies and gentlemen, lets break this one down.
If we are looking at having all bases covered, look no further than Maldonado, a fighter whos record doesn’t quite reflect his overall versality, having across the board talents in striking, and grappling, of all disciplines. This could however have a bit of a Michael Bisping effect – in that while he’s good at everything, he isn’t quite a master at anything - whereas the skills that Divisek does possess, he possesses in spades.

If I’m Divisek, I’m going to want to stifle Maldonados attempts to keep the fight on the feet, where he poses a threat most, with alternating kicks, punches, and volume. Take him down, beat him up, that’s the game plan for me. If I’m Maldonado, I’m keeping this fight standing up, and using my wide variety of kicks and strikes to keep Divisek on his toes, attacking the legs, and restricting his movement. It's worth noting that Divisek doesn’t favour kicks, finding his hands to be the only weapon he needs.

A tough one to call, but I think that Divisek has slightly more directions to take this fight in than Maldonado, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the more versatile striker got Divisek in trouble with his volume and variety. I have Divisek, late by KO/TKO, or possibly showing us that he has some submissions in his repertoire.

Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Juraj Divisek “George” (W) KO/TKO or SUB Rounds 2-3

UNDERCARD

JOHN MICHAEL BENITOY 5-3-0 VS JOHNNY ROSENTHAL 4-2-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 145lbs
Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: John Michael “Gangster” Benitoy (W) UD Round 3

KANG URIP 3-2-0 VS GOMEZ ADDAMS 6-5-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 185lbs
Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Kang “High” Urip (W) UD Round 3

EVGENY POPOV 4-0-0 VS BRYAN THOMPSON 4-1-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 155lbs
Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Evgeny Popov (W) SUB Round 1

I've been Gabe, remember to tune in, and buckle up for a night of fantastic fights in NYC!

UnderGround FC 51 Preview & Predictions (930151)
5TH OCT 2019- AMSTERDAM – HARD KNOCKS ARENA - Written by Gabe T.S. Gardner (112290)

Hey all again folks, Gabe here with the breakdown for UGFC 51, coming at you live and in colour from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, one of the great kickboxing nations in the world!

Tonight we have:

MAIN EVENT

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22w9.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14106008433182.png

JONES VS LOMAX

Barry “Bulletproof” Jones 12-2-0 VS Vincent Lomax 7-0-0
5 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 205lbs

A main event that sees two elite level Light heavyweights square off in a matchup I’ve been anticipating since it was announced. Jones V Lomax. Bring out the big guns indeed.

For both fighters, I’d say this is the biggest test in terms of challenge they’ve seen thus far in their promising careers, and while Jones does have significant main event, title fight level experience for someone so young, I don’t see this factoring in too heavily, and he has to treat this fight like he’s challenging for the belt again, as he sees himself step up the level of competition from his previous opponent.

Where Lomax should be concerned, is that this represents a bit of a watershed moment for his career, one that he’s not put a foot wrong in so far. In my mind, he has far more to prove than his opponent, and as far as skillsets go, he might actually be the weaker of the two at this moment in time. That said, he’s executed his game-plan of forcing the clinch, and breaking people with peppering strikes to perfection in all of his previous encounters, undefeated in 7 fights with a 100% knockout ratio.

Looking at all these factors, I’ve got to make Jones the favourite, but my gut instinct tells me Lomax might be able to pull off the upset, as we’ve seen Jones stumble twice before, against the same opponent under different management, you’ve got to ask questions about his progression, even if he remains a credible, undeniable threat.

I’m going with Lomax in round two, knockout.

Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Vincent Lomax (W) KO/TKO Round 2

HORIGUCHI VS KOSTIC

Akaro “Kid Lightning” Horiguchi 5-1-0 VS "The Real Deal” Stojan Kostic 12-6-1
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 155lbs

Fireworks in our Co-Main tonight, as young up and comer “Kid Lightning” Horiguchi, takes on seasoned pro and former title challenger, “The Real Deal” Stojan Kostic.

Kostic will want to look to getting back to winning ways against his younger opponent, being unable to pull off a win in his last three contests, being stopped twice and afforded a majority draw for his efforts, and has traded wins and losses with no consistency since his impressive 8 fight win streak at the start of his career.

He’d make a major step in the right direction if he was to take out Horiguchi, and his best chances of that is to tangle him up on the ground, and submit the Japanese fighter, something Kostic is no doubt well aware of, having won all 12 of his victories by way of submission, an Impressive feat, but perhaps lacking in the diversity that separates elite fighters from the greats. Who knows, he may prove me wrong.

Horiguchi is a capable hand in any area of the fight game, having strong fundamentals on the ground, and dangerous standup, but the deadliest component of his fight game is his clinch control. He’s made a career so far of locking people up, and beating the hell out of them, taking every one of his victories by way of knockout. It's worth noting, that none of his fights have gone the distance, and in his only defeat, he was finished himself – a possible weakness for sure, but not one I think the skills of Kostic permit to be exploited.

In truth, both fighters know what they are in for, their game plans are no secret. Horiguchi is going to look to clinch from word go, and Kostic’s best chances are on keeping him down. Who has a history of executing their game plan better? I’d have to go with “Kid Lightning”

Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Akaro “Kid Lightning” Horiguchi (W) KO/TKO Round 1

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42b12.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38w10.jpg

CRICKY VS WYTE (II)

Jimbo “Under” Cricky 8-5-0 VS Connors Lover Boy” Daana Wyte 9-5-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 205lbs

A rematch at light heavyweight, as Cricky takes on the “creatively” nicknamed Daana Wyte.
Wyte comes in with a patchy record – nay, patchy career- as he’s traded wins and losses in his past 14 fights, but that won’t tell the whole story. With his no-nonsense brawling style, and heavy hands, Wyte comes ready for war, something Cricky will know full too well, having gone the distance in a standup slugfest, were both fighters were cut open.

Looking back at that fight, its clear who has the better technique, as Cricky landed damn near everything he threw, with Wyte eating a monstrous amount of punishment with composure, but flailing relatively inaccurately in return.

Indeed, in 14 fights, with 5 defeats, Wyte has never been knocked out – the only asterisk on that record being a TKO loss via cuts (against Bob Dock, another wild brawler who is also the only fighter to have definitively buzzed Wyte, but he ought to have after delivering 30 KNEES to the skull of Wyte) - an easy thing to overlook.

Wytes sheer toughness, and jaw cast out of adamantium, combined with elephant dropping power makes him a dangerous foe for anyone, anyone that is, that can’t pick apart his relatively poor technique. As we’ve already seen, Cricky has the skills to do it, and I’m going for a repeat, but don’t ever count Wyte out of this one.

Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Jimbo “Under” Cricky (W) UD Round 3

JUKOLA VS LEWIS

Aapo Jukola 5-0-0 VS Derrick “Black Beast” Lewis 5-1-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 205lbs

Hooo boy, strap in folks, this is my pick for fight of the night.
Two rising stars in the light heavyweight division look to do battle, as Jukola takes on “The Black Beast”, Derrick Lewis.

I’m going to struggle to pick a winner here, aren’t I?
Two exciting styles, two similar records, two absolute studs at their weight classes, lets break this one down.

Starting off with “The Black Beast”. Lewis might strike the typical punter as your average sprawl ‘n’ brawler, a heavy handed fighter that likes to keep things on the feet. Indeed in previous fights, when being dragged to the mat, Lewis has prioritised getting to his feet, and getting back to the game plan at hand – namely knocking people the fuck out – But you’d be wrong to think he has no fallback plan.

Lewis has an underrated submission game, winning his second fight with a kimura in under two minutes – albeit, he was grappling against a white belt – he also uses his Jiu Jitsu skills to fight defensively, breaking up his opponents offense should they try to keep him grounded, with an unending assault of dangerous submission attempts, keeping people from working.

While I’ve been informed Jukola has a great wrestling game in his arsenal too, he’s never had to rely much on his grappling ability – outside of manhandling people inside the clinch – as he’s more than content at keeping things standing up, and slugging you one for daring to rumble with him.

Although he’s not put a foot wrong, this fight represents a step up in class for the Finnish fighter, and definitely the toughest test he’s yet to face in his career in striking terms. Where I think he might have the edge is his clinch game is stellar, and Lewis’s sole loss, came to one of tonight's main eventers, Vincent Lomax, another incredibly adept clinch fighter.

It’s a tough call to make. The toughest one on the card for me, but the best indicator I have to how this fight is going to go, is Lomax vs Lewis, and looking at the skills Jukola brings to the table, I think he might just pull it off, but neither outcome would surprise me.

Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Aapo Jukola (W) KO/TKO Rounds 1-2

UNDERCARD

RINGZ DABELL 6-0-0 VS KALVIN HARPER 5-2-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 135lbs
Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Ringz daBell (W) KO/TKO Round 1

KENNETH WELLWOOD 3-2-0 VS AARON STONE 4-1-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 265lbs
Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Aaron Stone (W) KO/TKO Round 1

TOMMY REED 6-2-0 VS DESMOND STRINGFELLOW 6-4-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 135lbs
Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Desmond Stringfellow (W) KO/TKO Round 3

BAGEL BOSS 5-2-0 VS RAIAM DOS SANTOS 10-9-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 185lbs
Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Bagel Boss (W) KO/TKO Round 2

KYLE KRISTIAN GALEOS 3-2-0 VS ANTHONY JACKSON 4-1-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 145lbs
Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Anthony “OG” Jackson (W) KO/TKO Round 2

PEDRO FUENTES 0-1-0 VS FLORENCE FERGUNSON 3-1-0
3 5-minute rounds under MMA rules at 265+lbs
Gabe’s Pre-Fight Prediction: Pedro “Big Peter” Fuentes (W) KO/TKO Round 1

That’s another card down, and another stellar night of action ahead!
Be sure to tune into UGFC 51 for one hell of a card!
