"The Prodigal Son" Grant Brophy Jr

1-0-0

With people worried about whether Grant's confidence in his own ability would affect his learning, it was decided he would be sent into a QFC fight to get a look at him. What followed was an absolute massacre....

Overall, the fight lasted a mere 13 seconds, and Grant's KO power was really showed here. Tenderising his opponent with a few leg kicks, Grant spotted his opening and landed a huge head kick which knocked his opponent out cold! Such brutality has made the rest of the family believe Grant is worth the effort of training, and he dedicated his win to his father, but also praised the efforts of the rest of the family for coming together to create an amazing environment.

"Dutch Gold" John Brophy

1-0-0

The Brophy family's Kickboxing In-Law also had his first fight recently, and he showed a lot of promise. Showing he has a Good Chin, John turned the style on in his debut fight as he looked to counter. He landed a huge head kick which did the deadly trio of knocking his opponent down, rocking him, and opening a cut. After his opponent got back to his feet, Brophy went for another head kick and missed, but then lunged forward with a huge flying knee which knocked his opponent out cold! It was a huge debut for John, and it just shows the level of power he possesses, which will be good for him as he trains in preparation for his KT debut.

When we introduced Conor Brophy, also known as The Swagicorn, to you, we told you about what he does to get into the minds of his opponents....

Well, it looks like a certain Renzo Jones didn't listen, as Conor dominated him for an entire 15 mins of ground fighting. Can you imagine the torture of having to go through 15 mins of someone saying "Swag" in your ear? Jones was thrown completely off his game, and Conor took advantage. He showed he has a Big Heart in that fight, and we know Conor is going into the gym for a long time to train as he looks to ensure when he resumes in MMA, that he is there for the long haul

"The Berlin Bruiser" Bob Brophy

2-1-0

After losing in his first Gangs Of New York fight, Bob Brophy was adamant it would not happen again. Feeling he hurt the Brophy name, Bob decided to get into the gym and train harder than ever to ensure a victory in his next fight. He was going up against Salvatore Testa, and the two of them had a verbal conflict in the lead up to the fight, with mentions of World War II involved. This created an extremely tensioned feud, where not only was the result on the line, but Personal and National Pride too.

The fight itself didn't last long...

After feeling he was losing at range, Bob instigated the clinch, and it was ball game from there. First, Bob cut Salvatore with a hook to the head, and it was opened up more a minute later with another punch. Testa was winded after one punch in the clinch, and shortly after the second cut, Testa was rocked with a shoulder strike from Bob. Mere seconds later, Bob threw a huge uppercut which dropped Testa, and more strikes followed which forced the Referee to stop the fight!

With his dignity in tact, Bob then called out Frank Brewer, and he believes it should be another win for The Berlin Bruiser!

With the new breed coming in, it is time to say goodbye to one of the new generation of Brophy's first casualties.

"The Outside" Michael Brophy

2-2-0

Having decided to try MMA by competing in the Mad Hatter tournament, Michael Brophy was knocked out of the tournament. Showing a good heart, but an issue with having a glass chin, Michael sadly doesn't seem cut out for the MMA world. He has said he wants to take some time away, as he is ashamed to have lost and been the first one to really let the team down..

However, he has stated that he hopes the new fighters joining from overseas will be able to take up his stead, and do their part in leading the family into the future

He has undergone re constructive surgery on his face so his family don't identify him, as he wishes to remain an outsider for the rest of his life...

"The Swagicorn" Conor Brophy

So I got a call the other day from Liam Davidson, the owner of Havoc. He said he needed a guy to step up on short notice and fill a fight.

Well, he came to the right person.

For the past few months I have been toiling in my gym, learning how to say Swag in 31 different languages so that way there is no language barrier that can prevent me from doing what I do best.

Michael Quincy is my opponent, and I will hand it to him, he looks like a big scary lion, but when the cage is locked, he will be looking at me, and he will turn into a scared little housecat when he realises he is locked in with The Swagicorn!

Shut up, this isn't your personal twitter or facebook account!

In light of recent events, I think it is time for a bit of an update about events surrounding the Brophy family...

"The Berlin Bruiser" Bob Brophy

3-3-0

Bob Brophy finished up his run in the Gangs of New York tournament, ending it going 2-3 over the course of the tournament. While he did not have a majorly impressive showing, he did display a Granite Chin, which has convinced Grant Brophy to keep him on.

He is not currently signed with an org, as he looks to make up the gap in skill between him and others of his age. We reached him for this quote today;

"Fuck Off"

Thank you Bob.

"Dutch Gold" John Brophy

1-0-0

John Brophy recently signed a deal with New Age Cage Fighting and will be competing in their 205lbs division. With his improving skills, it won't be long before John Brophy is showing off his abilities like he did in his first fight, where he scored an impressive Flying Knee KO to convince Grant Brophy he was the real deal.

His first bout will be against Johnny "The Tree" Gallagher, managed by Mickey "Tight Arse" Hart, in what is sure to be a big fight for John Brophy. We also reached John Brophy for a quote, but he also gave us a short answer:

"Sorpreso Motherfucker"

We aren't sure what this means, but we heard it is part of an inside joke between John and Grant.

Introducing a new member to the Brophy clan....

"Mini Braveheart" Davie Brophy

3-0-0

Davie Brophy grew up in Aberdeen, Scotland, the son of a tavern wench in the local Aberdeen community. Now, as you all know, Scotland can be a rough place at the best of times, and even worse when you grew up in a pub. He learned how to pull a pint at the age of 5, although some local police officers considered that "poor parenting" and kept a watchful eye on young Davie.

At the age of 15, after growing up in Aberdeen, he fell into a depression. This led to him not caring anymore about what he did. He started getting into fights in the pub, regularly being thrown out, including on a few times by his own mother.

After a police raid on the pub, they discovered a then 16 year old Davie Brophy, piss drunk in the cellar, and they had to take him in. Social services were called, and they took him away from his mother, describing her as a "big jugged woman who was clearly only fit to be a wench, and not a mother".

After spending the next year in a care home, a man walked into the home, with the wish to adopt one of the older children. Since there was only 3 children in the home over the age of 16, it was between Davie and two others, some fella called Dean Sutherland Jr and another called Rory apparently. Dean said some fella called Peel Steel was already coming to pick him up, and with his previous knowledge of people called Rory, this man decided to adopt Davie.

And that is how Davie met Grant Brophy, and how he joined the Brophy clan.

Fast forward to the present day, and Davie is competing in the Clash of Alliances tournament. He is representing Vendetta, and is 3-0 so far in the tournament, having carried his team until the last round when another member also won a fight. His next fight is this weekend against Hio Bazard, managed by notorious Fillipino Mafia Leader Beggar So, in a fight that could make Davie Brophy a millionaire, and represent a far cry from his childhood growing up in an Aberdeen pub.

A.O.B

Grant Brophy Jr and Conor Brophy have both been training, with nothing exciting to note. Conor Brophy lost his recent fight to Michael Quincy, but showed enough to convince Grant Brophy to keep him around.

The are rumours of a 16 year old prospect who is also named Brophy, but nobody yet is sure of who he is, or what the plans for him are. All is expected to be revealed in the future...

Introducing

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14260808686381.jpg

"Ragin" Ryan Brophy

0-0-0

Back in the late 2010's, during the peak of his early career winning streak, Grant Brophy decided to celebrate his recent championship win in Troid by taking a trip to Las Vegas with his team. While there, he gambled away a lot of his money he had saved up, and ended up blacking out due to the copious amounts of alcohol he consumed.

Fast forward to 2015, and Mr. Brophy received a letter from a solicitor in America, claiming he had son who was looking to get in touch with him. While Grant had no idea about it, he decided to respond and see where things took him.

Another trip to America, but this time to another state as he went to Virginia. He travelled to the address he was given, along with his manager and friend, also named Grant Brophy, and they took a seat inside.

A short time later, a man walked in with a woman, and Grant Brophy (the fighter) recognised the woman. He had spent that night in Vegas gambling and partying with her, but didn't realise he had actually slept with her that night, as she was gone the next morning before he awoke. She didn't stay long, as she said he had some errands to run, but introduced the man to Grant.

"Hey Grant. This is Ryan, and he is your son. Sorry about not getting in contact with you before today, but honestly, I just never wanted a man in my life, I just wanted a son to raise. I have to head away now, but I hope you two get along."

With that, she left, leaving Grant with the realisation that he had another son in the world. They spent a short time talking, with Grant curious about Ryan's upbringing as a child. After a time, Ryan mentioned he had a girlfriend, and they actually had a child on the way, with Grant then realising he was soon becoming a grandfather. Talks about their hobbies arose, and Ryan mentioned he had a love for MMA. He said he always wanted to get involved, and had a local Muay Thai gym he went to, but never a full time MMA gym.

A quick discussion between the two Grants followed, and Mr. Brophy (The manager) offered to fly Ryan and his family to London and get them settled. In return, he would be managed by Grant, and train in his private gym. Ryan made a phone call to his girlfriend and mother, and they both agreed it was a great opportunity.

Fast forward to today, and Ryan Brophy is settled in London with his family, and has recently met his half-brothers. He is entering the KT Junior Grandmaster tournament, and feels his Muay Thai skills will give him a chance to win the tournament, but having never competed in a competitive environment, he is unsure of what to expect. Only time will tell if Ryan is cut out for the life of a fighter, but beginning in KT gives him the chance of proving himself.

Meanwhile I have just added in a family tree to the OP to give a clearer view of where each fighter is in the family.

With much time passing since the Brophy family arriving on the MMA scene, many are eager to see where each Brophy family member will end up competing, and how they may fare in their experiences. It's time for an update on how each Brophy family member is currently faring, and the introduction of a new member

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14153960791292.jpg

Bob Brophy

5-3-0

After finishing up in the Gangs of New York tournament, Bob would spend time in the gym rounding out his MMA game. He would take part in an exhibition fight with Grant Brophy Jr at one point, but remained focussed on his training. In late August, he would sign his first competitive contract with Tradition Fight Club and would receive a fight offer shortly after for the 16th September at Tradition LVI against Jonny Webbs.

Despite Webbs being the older fighter, and even having had more training time, Bob would dominate the fight as Webbs attempted to fight him inside the Clinch, where Bob is notorious for brutalising his opponents. After dominating the first round, the fight would end shortly in the second round as Bob again dominated from the Clinch, Rocking him, then Knocking him down before finally ending it with a series of strikes.

Bob would go an entire month without receiving a single fight offer, and as a result, used his inactivity clause to leave Tradition. Shortly thereafter, he would receive a contract offer and sign with Havoc Fighting League to compete in their Super Heavyweight division where he is currently awaiting his first matchup.

"The Prodigal Son" Grant Brophy Jr

3-2-0

Grant Brophy Jr has yet to commit himself to an ID restricted org just yet, as he has been dedicated to working in the gym in order to prepare for a long stay in MMA. Showing up for basic exhibition matches when he has been asked, his most recent fight saw him compete in Havoc to take on a grappler called Lenny Lukens Jr. Lukens Jr was able to avoid Grant's damaging strikes and pulled guard where he forced Grant to tap out to a Triangle Choke.

Despite the loss, Grant is looking confident for the future, and has dedicated himself to improving his grappling before he joins an org full time.

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14222907305084.jpg

"Dutch Gold" John Brophy

1-1-0

John Brophy hasn't had a fight in 4 months, as he has identified a weakness in his wrestling which caused him to be dominated in the clinch in his last bout. Despite informing the ownership of New Age Cage Fighting of his need to improve his weakness, he would receive numerous fight offers from the matchmaker, and John would have to repeatedly explain the situation, to the point he would end up ignoring fight offers as a result.

Now after moving from the Light Heavyweight division to their Heavyweight division as part of a division merger, John is looking to get back in the KT cage soon, and show he is a fighter for the long run.

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14239697806118.jpg

"The Swagicorn" Conor Brophy

3-1-0

Conor Brophy recently decided that he was ready to compete in an ID org setting, and despite asking for a contract from SPI Helsinki, and being told he would receive one, he would find himself still without an org or a contract offer a week later. As a result, he would ask other org owners, and would sign with Dissolution Fighting Championships in London.

He made his debut for the org at DFC Excursion 31 against Rogan Redban. Conor would dominate the fight everywhere, as he beat Redban with his striking, inside the clinch, and on the ground to earn a Unanimous Decision victory. He is now scheduled to face Izzy Beast, who is managed by Bowser Big Dog, at Excursion 34 in what is a tough challenge in the young career of Conor.

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14121689204848.png

"The Drunken Brawler" Davie Brophy

5-2-0

After finishing the Clash of Alliances tournament, Davie was a hot prospect in the 270k ID range, and was stacked with offers from orgs. He would decline them as he was focussed on training and working on his weaknesses, something he was unable to do as a result of competing in the tournament.

With a single exhibition fight against fellow Brophy, Conor, Davie would find his interest piqued as he witnessed a fighter issue an open challenge, claiming himself to be the best 135lbs 270k fighter in the world. Davie would take offense to this, and stepped up to the challenge. He would compete against 3 Second Tan MMA champion Chesty Puller at Rise Above Hate #5.

For all Puller's smack talk, he was unable to back it up as Davie decimated him with a first round Submission (Strikes) victory in just 52 seconds. He has shown the world was he was capable of, and would return to the gym to train, but rumours are circulating he could be ready to commit to an org soon.

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14260808686381.jpg

"Ragin" Ryan Brophy

2-1-0

Ryan Brophy competed in the Junior Grandmaster KT tournament held in the EFFA. He would earn a victory over Ali Ozturk, another fighter from a fighting family, to advance to the second round. Unfortunately, he would lose the fight to Scott Barretto but showed good resilience in the fight. He would be asked to compete in another KT fight, this time defeating Gerardo Pacheco via KO (Head Kick) in the second round.

He has been plagued with challenged from Ali Ozturk, but due to the fact he has an ounce of common sense in his brain, he has decided he will train before accepting the challenge, deciding to use his best training years while he can instead of wasting them.

Rumors are rife of more fighters joining the ranks of the Brophy family, but with no real understanding of the story behind them just yet, we cannot report on them for now.

BREAKING NEWS

It is with a heavy heart we announce the shocking deaths of two young males in the Bahamas last night. Grant Brophy Jr and Conor Brophy were caught up in a flooding and due to the fact neither ever learnt to swim, or learnt much else for that matter, they both were swept up by the tide and their bodies recovered this morning. Our condolences go out to their family at this time....

But, you know, on to less depressing news now as we can announce the arrival of numerous new Brophy family members with a short intro for each one. Apparently the father of the family never learnt what a condom is....

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14402952138527.jpg http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14436288987902.jpg

Ash "The Pokémaster" Brophy and Red Brophy

An interesting story for these twins. During a trip to Tokyo to see an event, Papa Brophy got a bit frisky and spent a night at a local establishment. This resulted in impregnation of the daughter of a local martial arts expert, and Papa Brophy's swift exit from the country to avoid having his penis slashed off. We don't know what the fuck happened but somehow she ended up pregnant with twins and one of them ended up being born 4 months premature while the other stuck in there until the full 9 months. Ash is the older twin, with Red being the younger. Both fighters are still training but will be signing to orgs soon to make their first mark in the MMA scene.

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14222907277435.jpg

"The Wolf" Michael Brophy

Not gonna lie, this story is a bit gruesome. Due to his shame of the previous Michael Brophy, he was disowned and lived the rest of his life somewhere in the north, where hideous things awaited him. One of those gruesome things was this man, who has a sick obsession with the Brophy clan. When he found the original Michael, he snuck into his room at night, and proceeded to murder the poor fucker. He would carve off his face and turn it into a mask which he wears to this day. He would then travel to London to meet Papa Brophy, and while he was so disgusted at first that he puked into the local trash can...I mean Bjorn's mum...He begun to appreciate the cbombs ruthlessness and thus christened him "New Michael", and he represents the family with pride in the cage. He is currently signed to Primal Combat and he recently made a winning debut with an Axe Kick KO. He will be fighting again in the coming weeks.

And now onto the established fighters

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14153960791292.jpg

"The Berlin Bomber" Bob Brophy

7-4-0

Still training. Might be competing soon, might be pushed off a cliff..Who knows what will come first?

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14222907305084.jpg

"Dutch Gold" John Brophy

3-2-0

Also training like Bob, but also working part time as a hair stylist in the city centre in order to keep in touch with the latest manly trends.

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14121689204848.png

"Mini Braveheart" Davie Brophy

9-4-0

A good winning streak was ended by two recent losses. Current whereabouts unknown but last seen getting absolutely hammered in Glasgow city centre.

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14260808686381.jpg

"Dank Master" Ryan Brophy

3-1-0

Recently signed to Budo Rei FC in Tokyo and made his debut with a 59 second TKO victory. Will be fighting again this coming weekend and hopes to make it 2-0 in the org and celebrate in the same place that Ash and Red were conceived...Hopefully with less pregnancies this time...

Be sure to check back next time I can be fucking assed to update this to see the latest happenings with the Brophy family

And remember

R.I.P Grant Brophy Jr and Conor Brophy

You both sucked in learning
