Once we get into this thing a little deeper and some extra funds are generated from these events I'll back track and will provide some good of the night payouts... I'm going to determine how exactly I want to determine the winners each event based on the amount I decide on..somewhere between $5 and $10K is what I'm thinking currently.

Officially all offers now sent and only a hand full of fights need accepting to be 100% complete for round 1.. My intentions are that group A and B will always fight in Montreal, while B and C always fight in New York through the first stage of this beast. So, if it makes it easier for any your fighters to train in those locations you can plan on that being the case. Also, I have now partnered up with Drunken Hobo Fightwear http://mmatycoon.com/clothingpublic.php?cid=5598 so hopefully he's sent you guys some sponsor offers. Looking forward to big things with this, I'm excited. In the famous words of a Mr. Marvin Gaye "Lets get it on"

Happy to say that both round 1 events are 100% booked. I was nervous about a couple that showed inactive for a few days, but they good..After round 1 I hope ya'll keep with it....Oh yeah and just so ya'll know...Not only am I'm going to be working on giving weekly OTN awards and a pretty nice pay out...I'm also going to put the bottom 5 to 10 managers based on total losses/wins who fight every fight of of the first stage of this tourney that do not move on to the second stage into a drawing to have $25k deposited into their MANAGERS account for seeing this thing through to the end. So, if you go 0-20 you could still make out with $25k to your manager bank, not fighters bank.

If there are any other managers/companies who would like to put in some cash to increase this fund...Please post here that you would like to donate to the losers drawing, but please do not post how much...rather PM me with the detail as this additional amount will be a "surprise" to the winner...so who knows that could end up being $100k for fighting every fight no matter what happens :) :winner:  :thankyou: :smile_anim: :santa: :dancing: :drunk: :boxing:

Legend Broly gonna kill someone in this tournament !

No worries broseph unlike those clowns that quit tourneys after a few loses I think the group here is good for it.

I hope so mate. There's a lot of trusted and active managers involved but the last couple of times it's actually been some of those that quit. One from your alliance actually. Alan Partridge? That one really surprised me but luckily he wasn't in the running to mess too much up.

Opening Round Predictions & Rankings

Group A

#1) Patrick O'Phoenix

Hailing from Cork, Ireland, No. 1 Group A seed Patrick O'Phoenix looks set to do very well in this early stage and is predicted to finish top of the group. A submission fighter with a strong wrestling background, he has already shown promise with a quick tune up fight in the QFC system where he was victorious in just under a minute. O'Phoenix is guided by manager Rei who at the time of writing has a career best manager ranking of #7. His main competition in the opening round is likely to come from wonderful wrestler Okino Naruhiko and BJJ purple belt Regis Petrozulli. If he can earn points from these matches then it is unlikely he will falter elsewhere especially considering the amount of strikers in his group.

Opening Round Prediction: 7 Wins

Fights to Watch: Okino Naruhiko (Week 2), Regis Petrozuli (Week 3)

#2) Okino Naruhiko

Wonderful wrestler Okino Naruhiko is another fighter suspected to do well in this opening round qualifying pool. Already bloodied in the QFC system, Naruhiko has somewhat shown his hand and we now know that he at least has some vicious ground and pound amongst his repertoire and will likely be looking to take his opponents down and grind them up. Naruhiko is managed by Alexander Melchiott who is a skilled veteran of these creation tournaments and has a manager best ranking of #38. Melchiott’s fighters have usually been top prospects but alas the title of tournament champion yet alludes him after both a third and second place finish in previous tournaments. Naruhiko is predicted a second place finish in the group mainly due to his managers performances in past tournaments but he will have definitely have his hands full against the other two seeded fighters O'Phoenix and Petrozuli both of whom seem to be submission based; often time the kryptonite of the top control wrestler.

Opening Round Prediction: 5-6 wins

Fights to Watch: Patrick O'Phoenix (Week 2), Regis Petrozuli (Week 4)

#3) Regis Petrozuli

Brazil’s Regis Petrozuli comes into the tournament looking very much like a strong submission based fighter. A BJJ purple belt, Petrozuli is the groups third seeded fighter and though he isn’t expected to fall short of qualification he will need to hope that his feeble wrestling abilities are enough to bring down the strikers of the group lest he find himself in the same position that many pure BJJ fighters of the past have found themselves in. Petrozuli is guided by manager James Listerman who has a best manager ranking of #39. He is predicted a third place finish in the group overall but really will need to make sure he is able to get the points from the lesser established teams. The two biggest fights of interest will be against fellow seeded fighters O'Phoenix in week three and against Naruhiko in week four. Also of note, we will be keeping an eye on his showdown with wrestler Micheal Dobson and sprawl and brawler Serj Khak

Opening Round Prediction: 4-5 Wins

Fights to Watch: Patrick O'Phoenix (Week 3), Okino Naruhiko (Week 4)

#4) Michael Dobson

From London, England we have Michael Dobson who at this current time stands something of an enigma. Managed by creation tournament veteran Larry Hawk who has a career best of #125, Dobson could either be a clinch based fighter looking to use his superior wrestling advantage or a ground based submission or ground and pound wrestler. Hawk’s fighters have usually been at least above average and of the back of that Dobson is predicted a forth place finish and qualification into the next round. Really though, it depends on what exactly Dobson is bringing to the table. His chances much higher if he is looking to get his work done on the ground. Some fights to watch out for no doubt would include against the seeded fighters but also, and especially if he is clinch based, against Serj Khak

Opening Round Prediction: 3-4 Wins

Fights to Watch: Regis Petrozuli (Week 2), Serj Khak (Week 6)

#5) Harry Tournament

A true super-heavyweight, Harry Tournament sets his sights on destruction and carnage in the opening round as one of only a handful of pure strikers in Group A. He is managed by Boble Lineman who has a career best rank of #72. Though he will have his work cut out for him against the wrestlers of the group, Tournament is expected to have a decent shot at qualifying so long as he is able to pick up points against the other strikers and the less established wrestlers among the group. An exciting mirror match up against Diego Columbo in week two is amongst the fights to look out for as well as a showdown against brawler Serj Khak in week four.

Opening Round Prediction: 3-4 Wins

Fights to Watch: Diego Columbo (Week 2), Serj Khak (Week 4)

#6) Serj Khak

Serj “The Second” Khak is Angola's entry in the tournament this time around and looks to be a solid brawler that will have an interesting time in this opening segment. Managed by Eric Leonard (career best #80), Khak isn’t amongst the favourites to go through to the next round though this assertion is based solely on the idea that his proficient skills, though well rounded, will struggle with the truly elite of strikers and wrestlers in the group. Of course Leonard is not a rookie any more and will no doubt have a good idea of how best to guide his fighter Khak though this opening stage. Likely his best chances of victory will be against the other strikers in the group and noteworthy fights include week fours showdown with Harry Tournament and what will no doubt be pivotal in his qualification bid, a showdown against wonderful wrestler Michael Dobson in week six.

Opening Round Prediction: 1-2 Wins

Fights to Watch: Harry Tournament (Week 4), Michael Dobson (Week 6)

#7) Mongali Samson

From Semonkong in Lesotho, Mogali “Tokoloshe” Samson brings an interesting skill set to the tournament which this writer is extremely interested to see in action. Respectable wrestling and a Blue Belt in BJJ, Samson looks to have a decent base on the ground but the real interesting aspect is his woeful boxing skills which he no doubt looks to develop over the course of the next few fights. Samson is managed by Hunter Johnson who returns after impressing beyond expectation in the last creation tournament. Johnson, with a career best of #266 wasn’t expected to bring much to the table last time round and though he finds himself tarred with the same brush here also, there are more than a few fans that would like to see a repeat from before. Big fights against Serj Khak in week two and Micheal Dobson in week four will be crucial should he want to finish in the top five qualifying position

Opening Round Prediction: 1-2 Wins

Fights to Watch: Serj Khak (Week 2), Micheal Dobson (Week 4)

#8) Diego Columbo

Rounding out Group A we have USA’s Diego “Combo” Columbo. Columbo brings some wonderful boxing skills to the tournament of which he will need to wield with deadly purpose if he is to prove the bookmakers wrong and avoid his predicted finish of last place. Columbo is managed by Hare Rumpler who has a career best rank of #185 and has only been in the management game for a few months. Despite this quick learning, Columbo is expected to struggle, firstly against the grapplers of the group and secondly against the more established managers who have chosen to represent strikers this time around. While it would be difficult to see Columbo in the next round, victories in key fights such as his opening bout against Mongali Samson and week two’s showdown with Harry Tournament will no doubt give us a better indication of his overall potential

Opening Round Prediction: 0-1 Wins

Fights to Watch: Mongali Samson (Week 1), Harry Tournament (Week 2)

Opening Round Predictions & Rankings

Group B

#1) Victor Slaughter

One of the favourites to top Group B is number one seeded fighter Victor “Bring Ya Daughter To The” Slaughter. Hailing from Naracoorte, Australia, Slaughter is managed by Top 5 manager Scotty JoeC who returns to tournament format after a disappointing end to a promise campaign with his previous fighter Balor Fino. Expected to learn from those mistakes, Slaughter will be in good hands and many believe it would be unthinkable that he does not qualify from this opening round. The biggest, most important fights for Slaughter will be in week two against seeded fighter Hugues Dupont and in week four against third seed Rick Gallowgate although we are definitely looking forward to his showdown with BJJ brown belt Carlos Junior in week five.

Opening Round Prediction: 6-7 wins

Fights to Watch: Hugues Dupont (Week 2), Carlos Junior (Week 5)

#2) Hugues Dupont

Group B’s second seed Hugues Dupont comes to us from Fontvieille, Monaco as does many of manager Emily Chanet's projects. Likely to be a ground based wrestler, Dupont is expected to do very well in the opening round and is expected to qualify for the next round without too much trouble. Managed by tournament veteran Emily Chanet (best rank #45), Dupont will represent an opportunity for his manager to put a disappointing Open Weight Grand Prix behind and learn from past mistakes. A mirror match showdown early in week two against Victor Slaughter awaits and that will be a big test for the Monacan but possibly the most interest will be against BJJ Brown Belt Carlos Junior in week four where he might well have to navigate a superior submission fighter using only superior wrestling.

Opening Round Prediction: 5-6 Wins

Fights to Watch: Victor Slaughter (Week 2), Carlos Junior (Week 4)

#3) Rick Gallowgate

Next up we have third seed Rick “The Prick” Gallowgate who is managed by Stef Power who has a career best ranking of #6. From Gateshead, England, Gallowgate is one of a handful of strikers in the division and as such will really need to make sure he is able to pick up the wins against the non wrestlers of the group. He is expected to at least qualify though mainly due to his managers credibility in the MMA world. One of the tallest in the group, Gallowgate will need to quickly develop some form of grappling defence otherwise he is likely to be in big trouble against the two other seeds of the group as we have already seen in his tune up fight in the QFC where he was taken down and finished in the first round by a superior grappler. He is expected to find a big rivalry with Tommy De Mahss and that exciting showdown will come around in the very first week of fights. Another potentially exciting bout would be against Thom Tharrier though that is much further down the line in week seven.

Opening Round Prediction: 4-5 Wins

Fights to Watch: Tommy Du Mahss (Week 1), Thom Tharrier (Week 7)

#4) Tommy Du Mahss

Another New York native in the tournament, Tommy Du Mahss looks set for a solid early campaign and is predicted a fourth place finish in Group B. Guided by long time veteran manager Kyle Moore (career best #91), Du Mahss brings a decent well rounded looking skill set with some strong boxing skills and a BJJ Blue Belt, the latter of which could really make him dangerous to some of the top seeded fighters of the group and make all the difference to his tournament potential. Though he isn’t expected to miss out on the next round, Du Mahss faces a stern test in the opening fights against No.3 seed Rick Gallowgate which could set the tone for the rest of his Group B matches. Another potentially big fight comes in week three when he takes on Muay Thai fighter Thom Tharrier.

Opening Round Prediction: 3-4 Wins

Fights to Watch: Rick Gallowgate (Week 1), Thom Tharrier (Week 3)

#5) Thom Tharrier

From Perth, Australia, Thom “Lung Lung” Tharrier brings some wonderful Muay Thai skills to the tournament meaning that we could be in line to see some decent kicking ability as well as grappling and clinch. Managed by Thaddeus Banks (Best #146) who, though has plenty of experience in these types of tournaments by now, has never managed to qualify further than the opening round by my knowledge and has much to prove still. On this occasion however, he is expected to have a solid chance of finishing in the Top 5 of Group B though he will need to make the very most of the match ups against other strikers. An extremely tough bout against third seed Rick Gallowgate in the final bout of the opening round fights will follow a very important meeting with Tommy De Mahss in week three

Opening Round Prediction: 2-3 Wins

Fights to Watch: Tommy Du Mahss (Week 3), Rick Gallowgate (Week 7)

#6) Carlos Junior

The only true Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter in the group, Carlos “El Perro” Junior hails from Rio and is managed by Daddy Winger who has a career best of #239. Historically, pure BJJ fighters have never fared well in these types of tournament and in this instance Carlos Junior isn’t expected to break the mould. With the right training opportunities however and decent progress in wrestling, Junior could definitely improve his chances against those of the striking arts and in turn his qualification hopes. If he can imporse the correct game plan, he might well pose problem to the seeded wrestlers in the group but otherwise key fights will include Sven Eklund in week three and boxer Rick Gallowgate in week six

Opening Round Prediction: 1-2 Wins

Fights to Watch: Sven Eklund (Week 3), Hugues Dupont (Week 4)

#7) Sven Eklund

Next is Sweden’s Sven “The Executioner” Eklund who has been, perhaps unkindly, predicted to struggle in this opening round. Managed by Slick Rick who has a career best manager ranking of #414, Eklund brings some serious wrestling skills to the table but in what manner we will see them used is still unknown. Whether Eklund is a clinch based striker or a ground based wrestler will have a big say in his final results with this writer believing that it would be the latter that would give him the highest hope of proving early predictions wrong. Eklund faces a tough opening fight agasint No.1 seed Victor Slaughter but key fights will come against Carlos Junior in week three and Tommy Du Mahss in week five. For any real hope of qualifying further he will need to pick up winners points in those match ups for sure.

Opening Round Prediction: 1-2 Wins

Fights to Watch: Carlos Junior (Week 3), Tommy Du Mahss (Week 5)

#8) Jon Bones

Rounding out Group B is Singapore’s Jon Bones. Bones looks at first glance to be your typical clinch based sprawl and brawler but looks can deceive and without any real insight into his game plan we can only guess as to what he will be looking to do come fight time. Guided by Adam Lin (best #238), Bones isn’t expected to move past this opening round and would do well to pick up wins against some of the less well established teams involved. Key fights for Bones include weeks two’s showdown with Thom Farrier and in week six, he will do battle with Sven Eklund.

Opening Round Prediction: 0-1 Wins

Fights to Watch: Thom Tharrier (Week 2), Sven Eklund (Week 6)

Opening Round Predictions & Rankings

Group C

#1) Amadeo Camara

First up is Group C favourite Amadeo Camara who has been seeded second overall in the group. Already off to winning ways, Latvia’s Camara dominated his QFC opponent with ease, taking him down and pulverising him with heavy ground and pound to get the win in just thirty-nine seconds. With an obvious talent for the wrestling side of things Camara would seem to have a glaring weakness in the stand up but it has been reported that he is more than able to take a punch, something that is likely to be tested sometime over the next few weeks with the many strikers of the group. Amadeo Camara is guided by former top 10 manager Ibrahim Camara who has a good amount of experience with creations tournaments. That combined with his new projects skill set leads us to believe that Amadeo is one of a handful of fighters that could be considered a potential favourite for the tournament. Of course things can turn around in a heartbeat in the world of MMA and Camara will need to be at his best to defeat third seed Kyle Cruz in week two and also in a potential bogey match against BJJ Brown Belt Bishop Heahmund in week five.

Opening Round Prediction: 7 Wins

Fights to Watch: Kyle Cruz (Week 2), Bishop Heahmund (Week 5)

#2) Kyle Cruz

Predicted a second place finish in Group C we have Kyle Cruz from Kelowna, Canada. A skilled wrestler, Cruz is managed by Dylan Peterson who has a career best of #36 and will no doubt be keen to test himself amongst some of the top ranked managers in the game. As yet unblooded and without anything much else known about the Canadian grappler it must be said that the assumption is that Cruz is a wrestler looking to take his opponent down to the ground. His second place prediction is very much hinging on that as should it turn out that Cruz is a stand up fighter, his second place prediction in this opening round could potentially be much lower and even bordering on elimination. Whatever the case may be, Cruz will face a stern test against Amadeo Camara in week two and a possible bogey match against Bishop Heahmund in week four. Another interesting match up would of course be against Group C’s number one seed Abdufatto Zamanov in week three

Opening Round Prediction: 3-6 Wins

Fights to Watch: Amadeo Camara (Week 2), Bishop Heahmund (Week 4)

#3) Abdufatto Zamanov

Next up we have the No.1 seed of Group C, Abdufatto Zamanov from Tajikistan, Russia. Zamanov is managed by former number one ranked manager Anti Kristus who at the time of writing had fallen outside of the top 100. Obviously a manager that has been used to success in the past, Kristus is putting his reputation and knowledge on the line and has perhaps chosen to do so in the most difficult of ways by bringing a pure boxer to the tournament. With some serious boxing skills to his name, Zamanov is fortunate to have been drawn in a group without too many wrestlers and will at least have a chance to develop his ground defence as the tournament goes on. He is predicted a third place finish in the group with his biggest tests likely to come from the other seeded fighters Kyle Cruz and Amadeo Camara, both superior wrestlers. Another potentially explosive fight that is on the radar will come right at the end of the opening round match ups and that is against fellow striker Alf Konrad. Zamanov will definitely be a fighter to keep an eye on but mainly because of the bullseye on the back of his former number one ranked manager

Opening Round Prediction: 4-5 Wins

Fights to Watch: Kyle Cruz (Week 3), Amadeo Camara (Week 4)

#4) Alf Konrad

Hailing from Las Vegas, USA, Alf Konrad makes his first foray into the world of mixed martial arts after a promising amateur career in Boxing. With little else in the way of skills to compliment, Konrad will need to rely on his manager Owen Hitman’s experience to guide him. With a career best manager ranking of #86 garnered in only three short months, Hitman is obviously no true greenhorn in the game and Konrad is expected to do well of the back of that. Fortunate to be drawn in a group made of mainly of strikers, Konrad will not have to worry too much about his glaring lack of ground skills and wrestling and instead should have plenty of time to develop. An interesting striking showdown against JT Rolli awaits in week three as well as what is likely to be a massively important match up against No.1 seed Abdufatto Zamanov in week seven

Opening Round Prediction: 3-4 Wins

Fights to Watch: JT Rolli (Week 3), Abdulfatto Zamanov (Week 7)

#5) JT Rolli

Next up, the only Welshman in the tournament, Boxer JT Rolli rounds out those predicted to qualify from this opening round group alongside his mentor JB 90 who has a career best of #220. Rolli is a stand up fighter but unlike many of the others in the group specialises in Muay Thai. Rolli is said to be of a very good standard in that regard and it will be very interesting to see how he matches up with the boxers and brawlers to come. It must be said that while Rolli is predicted a fifth place finish in the group, that really isn’t stated with much conviction and that in truth, he rounds out that of a handful of fighters that could potential snatch the last qualifying spot. If he is to move on into the next round he will certainly need to win points from Alf Konrad in week three and also Amanda Nunes in week five.

Opening Round Prediction: 2-3 Wins

Fights to Watch: Alf Konrad (Week 3), Amanda Nunes (Week 5)

#6) Amanda Nunes

Fighting out of Hilo, Hawaii we have Albanian fighter Amanda Nunes. Nunes looks to be something of a sprawl and brawler who will want to get on inside of his opponent and do the bulk of his damage in the clinch. If this is the case it will be most interesting as Nunes faces a bulk of opponents who lack any formal wrestling training at all but who will have a sizeable advantage on the outside with their more technical skills. Guided by manager Marcus Peters (Best #243), Nunes could potentially be a dark horse to qualify in the group so long as he is able to avoid getting caught at range by the other strikers. Depending also of course on the strength of his chin, Nunes could potentially be a nightmare for some of the others in the group including those looking to get the fight on the ground. For all of this, Nunes is predicted a sixth place finish though the potential is definitely there and is duly noted. An important fight and one that could pose a most interest tactical problem for Nunes will come in week three against BJJ Brown Belt Bishop Heahmund as well as a potentially destructive clash against Muay Thai enthusiast JT Rolli in in week five

Opening Round Prediction: 2-3 Wins

Fights to Watch: Bishop Heahmund (Week 3), JT Rolli (Week 5)

#7) Bishop Heahmund

Next on our list is Bishop Heahmund, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt from Sherborne, England who has been most unfortunate to have been drawn in a group chock full of strikers. Development will be key for this young fighter as he will need to build either a strong striking defence or a proficient take down game with both being preferable and both needed immediately. For the next few weeks, Heahmund will be going head to head with far superior strikers and if he is to have any chance of moving into the next round then he will need to find a way to pick up some points from those early fights lest he find himself too far behind later on. He is managed by Master Tessin who has a career best of #175 and will certainly have enough experience to know just what needs to be done at this point. The only question however is, can he do it in time? Potentially big fights will come against wrestler Kyle Cruz in week four and then in the week after when Heahmund puts his superior jui-jitsu skills up against group favourite Amadeo Camara. Two fights in which Heahmund might actually be considered favourite though against very tough competition in which points will come hard.

Opening Round Prediction: 2-3 Wins

Fights to Watch: Kyle Cruz (Week 4), Amaedo Camara (Week 5)

#8) Legend Broly

Rounding out our Group C fighters we have a fighter who’s reputation has been swelling in the unspoken corners of the MMA world and builds intrigue with every passing day. Little is known about this young fighter except for the hype that has been generated by his manager Raichu Kong. Kong, who has been ever present in these series of creation tournaments has not qualified past the opening round of the past two tournaments though did show promise a while back with his project Jack Dawson who has gone on to have a reasonable career. Kong does speak highly of Broly and has obvious confidence in his man though at this time past results dog the reputation of his camp and many expect him to struggle here once more. One of the most exciting match ups for him will come in week four when he meets fellow Muay Thai fighter JR Rolli as well as against brawler Amanda Nunes in week six.

Opening Round Prediction: 0-1 Wins

Fights to Watch: JT Rolli (Week 4), Amanda Nunes (Week 6)

Opening Round Predictions & Rankings

Group D

#1) Roar Dinosaur Jr

The No.1 Group D seed is Roar Dinosaur Jr who is also predicted early to top the opening round table. At only 150cm, Dinosaur Jr is one of the shortest fighters in the tournament and is expected to be a ground based wrestling martial artist. Managed by Pika Choo who has a career best rank of #59 and a solid history in this tournament series with a personal best finish of second place, Dinosaur Jr no doubt represents his managers hopes of taking home the big one in this outing. In a group full of strikers, he may well be licking his lips in anticipation of an easy run though on closer inspection the group looks to have its fill of experienced teams. His toughest fight is likely to be BJJ Brown Belt and seeded fighter Heitor Machado of whom he will face in early in only the second week. Another tough fight is likely to be against third seed Marcus St Stone and that fight will follow the week after.

Opening Round Prediction: 5-6 Wins

Fights to Watch: Heitor Machado (Week 2), Marcus St Stone (Week 3)

#2) Prince Thick

Our second Group D fighter is Prince Thick who is actually the only unseeded fighter in the whole tournament predicted to finish in the top 3 of any of the opening round groups. Guided by manager Jungle Lord who has a career best of #77, Thick brings a strong Muay Thai background to the tournament and is backed up with some solid, mediocre wrestling skills. From the offset we can gather that Thick will be primarily looking to strike on the outside but also to beat those pure strikers in clinch and perhaps even have enough wrestling to stay on his feet against the wrestlers long enough to land the KO blow. Of course as a 0-0 fighter this is just pure conjecture and things could be very different once things get going but for now, Thick is predicted a second place finish in this opening group. His key fights will be against seeded fighters Roar Dinosaur Jr and Marcus St Stone the latter of which will take place in the opening fights of week one.

Prediction: 5-6 Wins

Fights to Watch: Marcus St Stone (Week 1), Roar Dinosaur Jr (Week 6)

#3) Marcus St Stone

Next up we have No.3 seed of Group D, Marcus “Lifecoach” St Stone. St Stone has an interesting back story that borders on being some what of a fake in life but what isn’t fiction is the superb Muay Thai skills that he will be coming in with as well as a legit BJJ Blue Belt. Under the tutelage of manager Paul Huntingdon, Marcus St Stone is predicted a third place finish in the group and is expected to feature in the next round of action. His manager who has a career best of #67 has found himself fallen on something of hard times of late and this tournament could be just the thing to prove that he is not out of the game entirely. One of the biggest fights of his opening round bouts will be in the very first week and against solid striker Prince Thick. Another comes in the last and that will be versus another striker Johannes Boe.

Opening Round Prediction: 4-5 Wins

Fights to Watch: Prince Thick (Week 1), Johannes Boe (Week 7)

#4) Heitor Machado

Next up we have three-hundred pound BJJ Brown Belt Heitor Machado who finds himself saddled with the unfortunate distinction of being the only seeded fighter not predicted a top three finish in the opening round group stage. Machado is managed by John Pezao who has experience of these tournaments but so far has not managed to qualify past the opening round with inconsistency usually the main culprit. Though that has been the case in the past the feeling is that Machado is still likely make it into the Top 5 at the end of this opening round and move on into the next. However, with so many strikers in the group he is going to have to improve either his wrestling or striking rapidly otherwise he will be nothing more than a walking punch bag. An extremely important fight will be against group favourite Dinosaur Jr where Machado just might be considered to have the better chance. Elsewhere a showdown with No.3 seed fighter Marcus St Stone will prove interesting though in all honesty, every fight for Machado is going to be extremely hard fought

Opening Round Prediction: 3-4 Wins

Fights to Watch: Roar Dinosuar Jr (Week 2), Marcus St Stone (Week 4)

#5) Johannes Boe

Predicted early to take the fifth qualifying spot in Group D is Norwegian athlete Johannes “The Sniper” Boe. Managed by Ringo Star (career best #117), Boe is expected to be an exciting addition to the tournament and brings some remarkable Muay Thai skills supplemented with some woeful wrestling. Boe might just have gotten lucky with the group draw and finds himself in the company of many stand up orientated looking fighters. Aside from the prospect of seeing some spectacular striking battles, it also adds to Boe’s prospects of moving into the next round of the tournament. Boe will have a couple of weeks until the truly big tests arrive with key fights against Prince Thick in week three and Marcus St Stone in his final opening group bout.

Opening Round Prediction: 3-4 Wins

Fights to Watch: Prince Thick (Week 3), Marcus St Stone (Week 7)

#6) Alan Odrobny

Next up we have Polish brawler Alan Odrobny who has already gotten off to a poor start in a QFC tune up fight. In that fight his lack of submission defence was glaring and Odrobny was finished in a little under three minutes but on the plus side his manager Tomasz Pudz (best rank #301) would have no doubt found a few positives in it. Odrobny could be an outside bet to move into the next round though currently he is only predicted a sixth place finish which would mean elimination from the tournament. He will at least need victories against those predicted to finish below him and would also need to steal points from a couple of fighters above him. Exciting key fights might come a bit too late to make a difference as he faces Bubba Sparxxx in week six and Daniel Bradshaw in week seven making those tough, early fights all the more important

Opening Round Prediction: 2-3 Wins

Fights to Watch: Bubba Sparxx (Week 6), Daniel Bradshaw (Week 7)

#7) Daniel Bradshaw

From Glendale, Arizona, USA we have Daniel “Bam Bam” Bradshaw who is yet to make his MMA debut. Scouts tell us that Bradshaw possesses some remarkable wrestling skills but unfortunately failed to tell us just how exactly they are used. Bradshaw is known however for having some woeful boxing skills which leads us to believe that he will be looking to clinch up with his opponents and grind them down from there but until we see him in the cage for the first time, we can only guess. Under the management of Kris Scott who has only been in the game for a couple of months and achieved a best rank of #428, Bradshaw and his team aren’t expected to qualify past this point and are instead expected to use this tournament as valuable learning experience. Of course, no one would be disappointed to be wrong in this regard and his opening week bout against Johannes Boe is one of many of interest. Key fights however will be amongst those fighters predicted to struggle such as Bubba Sparxxx in week three and Alan Ordrobny in week seven. Points in those match ups are sure to be a necessity if Bradshaw is to prove the odds-makers wrong.

Opening Round Prediction: 1-2 Wins

Fights to Watch: Bubba Sparxx (Week 3), Alan Odrobny (Week 7)

#8) Bubba Sparxxx

Our final fighter of Group D is Bubba “Country Kracka” Sparxxx from Athens, USA. With a name like that, Bubba was never really given a fair shot in life from the very start and it is no real surprise to find him ready to give it his all for this one shot at glory. Unfortunately however, Bubba has been shown no love from the odds-makers and is predicted to finish bottom of the Group D pile. The biggest underdog in the tournament, bookies believe that Sparxxx would do well to snatch a single point in any of his upcoming bouts and that qualification into the next round would be something short of a miracle. Whether or not these odds motivate Bubba we can only wait to see but the big fights that we look forward to watching will come in week three against Daniel Bradshaw and week six against Alan Odrobny

Opening Round Prediction: 0-1 Wins

Fights to Watch: Daniel Bradshaw (Week 3), Alan Odrobny (Week 6)

Diego: "I feel much disrespect here. But, I am not one to, as they say, 'bitch and moan' about what is said. I respect much the other fighters and managers that will match up with me. Zero or One win, is what that man has said? We shall see....we shall see. I feel perhaps it is not correct."

I wanted to address a previous post I made, just in case some didn't notice or forgot..So, I'm planning on OTN awards being at least $2k to start...after the first few events, depending on how they are going and money is looking I'll double it...I'll likely continue to increase until the end.

Also, I want to do a prize drawing for the bottom 5-10 managers... minimum payout will be $25k...I'd like to see if I could get any number of managers either participating or not donate $1,000k to this fund (25 equals another $25K) all the money will be moved to my book keeper until end of tourney. So, not only will you earn the $2k for each fight you have plus another $2k for any fights you do win and if you manage an OTN award and if you end up in the bottom and win the drawing for accepting all your fights you could still make out pretty darn well. So, if any managers and/or companies want to donate to this prize drawing please let me know here/message and if you sent a donation. Good luck to all!

Prize Money Update

Another awesome addition to the prize pool this time in the way of performance bonuses from KAISER Nutrition. CEO Emily Chanet (*current tournament participant) has kindly offered up a 50k bounty for most Submission Wins, most KO wins and most Decision Wins. These bonuses will be per group, per round making a grand total of 900k into the prize pool. Obviously this is made more interesting by the fact that it really is open to anyone as even a fighter who only ends up with a couple of wins in any of those particular ways could end up being the winner of that particular prize.

Many thanks Emily!

*Emily Chanet is voluntarily ineligable for the bonus prize.
