Slice
Hi guys, Just wanted to bring something up. Quite a high amount of the top fighters in the game at the moment (Compared to normal) seem to be very good wrestlers; they are excellent at striking as well don't get me wrong, but wrestling seems to be a new trend in this game atm. I wanted to raise the question of who is the very best wrestler in the game. I was going to go with best overall grappler; but there seem to be a lot of red belts, who whilst excellent grapplers have atrocious MMA records because Jiu Jitsu is relatively ineffective without high level wrestling. In light of this; I have created a poll for the best wrestler in the game at the moment. I have decided on the following criteria for the poll, the best wrestlers should be judged by: Highest takedown percentages (across all fights) Ability to implement wrestling against high level opposition. Very rarely get taken down. Use wrestling in most of their fights Using these criteria I have decided on five guys, all world class fighters in the game at the moment; Matt Quin Tuomari Hurmio Karim Bashorov Helix Cabrera Ricky Rocker These are just five guys I realised were at the top of the rankings; if you have any others in mind, please let me know in the comments. Otherwise, please vote in the poll and give reasons for your choices in the comments
GBK16
Personal view, probably Ricky Rocker
JamesCozad
Has to be Rocker imo, he made P4P #1 twice so far.
Steel
Check Rocker vs Camacho , Rocker was owned on the ground and lost the fight there. Rockers reliance on wrestling played into Camachos strengths , we knew we could strike freely because we could out wrestle him. Has to be someone else then.
Steel
The best wrestler in Tycoon probably isn't a top MMA fighter so the question needs amending.
Slice
The best wrestler in Tycoon probably isn't a top MMA fighter so the question needs amending. I have laid out the criteria in the post; and part of it is that they need to be able to implement it in MMA against top level fighters; therefore it has to be a top mma fighter
Wolf
Hurmio. Great accuracy with his takedowns

For what it's worth, I had lost motivation for a while at that time and didn't even set sliders for that fight cause I didn't care for any Bronze medal. 1
Steel
Not worth much You can have a rematch now your motivated, or we can agree to my statement. Rocker is a terrific fighter just not the best wrestler, being the best wrestler means fuck all as I'm sure you agree. 2
Bwang
Hurmio. Great accuracy with his takedowns I sadly agree. Don Juan Matus has elite wrestling tkd def and balance but could only stop 3/9 tkd attempts. Probably my poor management as well, but that was dominating stuff. bjornmma1
Dennis Page, this fight proves it: http://mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=786768 Sorry Scott, I couldn't let that one pass Serious reply: probably Hurmio. That being said,I think Cabrera will only get better and better, well, until he depops.
poraan
The best wrestler in Tycoon probably isn't a top MMA fighter so the question needs amending. This. Pulkkinen is best wrestler in the game. 59% takedowns landed and destroys anyone, unless gets gassed. I wouldnt call these layandprayes wrestlers.

TonyScat
I tell all of my mentees that wrestling is the single most important attribute, if you have to pick one. Deciding where the fight takes place is crucial.

Deciding where the fight takes place is crucial. Absolutely correct, apart from when there's two strikers who stand and bang, wrestling near enough always decides the outcome of the fight, especially at lower levels of the game

Slice
Ron Lemieux: http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=160509 Considering he took Hurmio down a few times, I guess he should be considered; so i'll stick him in there

aylib
Are you being serious when you ask if a wwe persona is different from real life? Of course he's a bit scared there's no script this time These wrestlers need more GnP finishes. Takedown and transitions are great, but no GnP, no great rassler in my opinion. Are there any fighters that come to mind who have high a GnP finishing rate?

I understand what you're saying; but that depends on which way you look at it. In RL; there are very rare GNP finishes. The best wrestlers in MMA; if you look at Cormier; Askren and GSP to name a few, they have hardly any GNP finishes in recent years
aylib
I hear ya. What about MMA tycoon, there might be some ground and pound beasts.
GBK16
If you are looking at GnP monsters Timur Rubin From a quick count, so I may be wrong, 15 of his 21 (T)KO victories have come from GnP. A couple of those were him rocking the opponent, knocking them down and then diving into the ground to finish, but the amount of really high considering the level he is fighting at.
