Aaughan
Why would someone use a $ 50 best bjj rash guard of $ 5? Is there any real advantage to a rash guard vs a wick away t-shirt? If so is the the long sleeves one better then the short. I'm guessing it's just a matter of preference but I figured who better to ask then the guys/girls using them. aylib
You dont have to spend $50. For grappling--cotton or poly tshirt will quickly become wet, soggy and will stretch like you wouldnt believe when someone grabs a hold of it. It might rip. Get a rashguard, it's a lot sturdier and resilient; it wont be damaged after several uses. You can pick one up for $20.
skull
You don't want to be the dumb ass who wears a t shirt to train. Get a rash guard it's just what you do, and you can get a Nike pro one for like 20 bucks. I've had one for like 4 yrs and it doesn't have the first rip
jjsquirrel
If you have a wet sweaty tshirt on I will work twice as hard to not give you top position and have it draped over my face Just get a rashguard, I personally prefer the long sleeve version. And one $50 rashguard will last longer on the mat than 10 $5 t-shirts anyway.

Mannetosen
Everytime I roll with someone wearing a soggy cotton t-shirt, I make it my life's mission to wreck them. Get a rashguard.

fagqa
Whenever I grapple with someone clad in a damp cotton shirt, I become determined to outperform them. Invest in a rashguard.
